3rd POV IREENE POV

"What to play Garra?"

"like what?"

"hm... how bout hide 'n seek" she suggest

"how do you play?"

"well you count to 10 and I hide and then you come find me" she explains "we could play at the park," she grabbed his arm "there's lots of places to hide there"

Ireene and Gaara were playing hide'n seek and she was hiding behind a building. she felt grains of sand creep on her shoulder, turning around to the scruffy red "found you" her redhead friend said

"aaawwwh." she pouted "how did you find me I was well hidden?"

"because i'm smart" he brags

"no you cheated" she retorted back

"no i didn't"

"yes you did"

"no I didn't "

"no you didn't" Ireene quickly cover her lip and Gaara smirked "so you agree i didn't cheat" he said slyly

"hey no fair" she retorted "er, my turn to count you go hide and I find you ok" she chirpily said

she turned around and started to count "1...2...3..."

I was hanging out with Garra when a familiar voice "hey what happened you ghosted us, I thought we agreed to meet up at the ice place." I turned and saw my two other friends "oh, um, sorry" I chuckled sheepishly, scratching the back of my neck "I didn't mea-"

"why are you with him don't you know" Kaito suddenly said pointing at the redhead wide eyed

"know what, who Gaara, what wrong with him? Hes my friend" I turn to Garra who seem to be offsetting by this whole ordeal

"friend?! he's a monster, he'll kill you Mia-chan" Seto retorted I narrowed my eyes at the to boys

I won't I would never" he mutters backing away slowly

"Kai-san Seto-san I don't appreciate you being mean to Gaara-chan" I retorted

"our parents said he'll kill everyone he comes in contact with"

"he's a monster that only loves himself"

"SCREW YOUR PARENTS!" I snapped having enough "your parents aren't perfect, heck mine abandoned me." they opened their mouth but nothing came out "They're not perfect, you shouldn't listen to everything they say and deem it as truth"

"I thought you we're my friends" I spat

"we are" they say in union

"well I don't like you being mean and if you can't accept me being friends with Garra-chan than we can't be friends" I proclaimed they looked at each other then back at us I could see a slight hint of guilt in there eyes as they averted them for a quick second. I think they genuinely want to be friends with me but something to do with garra? I sneaked a glance at him 'I heard the whispers but I keep telling myself its just gossip nothing more. but even if its true then is that why every hated him? why he was so lonely?' I asked myself

I was walking through the outskirts of Suna when heard a small faint yelp. I came across a small pup it looked like it was separated from its pack and is a bit malnourished and a bit young to be on its own. "Hey there buddy" I put my hand out in a nonthreatening way, it came up and started to sniff my hand then lick it. "hey stop that tickles" I laughed. "c'mon little one lets get you something to eat" I said picking him up in my arms. Making himself comfortable snuggling his head in my elbow "I'll name you" I look up at the sunset sky "...Tasokare. Twilight" seeing day sift into night "after the beautiful dusk lit sky, yeah. after the magic hour" I said before heading back to where I was staying with a new friend in tow.

"Hey I'm home, and I brought a friend" I yelled walking in the apartment walking up to my room grabbing some placing Taso on my bed "stay put I'll be right back" I said. Walking down to the kitchen grabbing some ingredient mashing them up in and putting into a decently sized food dish. when I walked back up to my room Tasokare was snuggled between my pillows and blankets I quietly placed the dish of homemade food beside my bed and walk up to my desk pulling out a dark blue book and started to write:

Today I think Garra's opening up a bit I mean his still shy but he stutters less around me. I'm glad he has some confidence maybe that all that he need was someone to actually care about him and look out for him like I do; someone he could trust and rely on

I still hear those mean rumors going around, Today my so called friends called my Panda-Chan a monster which made me very angry. I mean I thought they were my friends, its not just them everyone in this village treats Garra-Chan like dirt. Its nothing like the other villages i've been to.

yes that's his new nickname; I started to call him that a few days ago because of those thick rings around his eyes they remind me of a cute panda. But I really do hope he gets some good sleep

anyways I found a what looks like a wolf or wolf like pup outside Suna and adopted it. I hope Lena is ok with another member. she says that we're leaving in a few days its sad to leave Garra-chan but I'm happy I can't wait where we'll go next I just hope Makimo-nee doesn't lead us into another sand storm that's what got us here in the first place; But I guess I wouldn't have met Panda-Chan otherwise.

I close the book and put it beside a headband and a few scrolls I took from Makomo's backpack in the draw closing it and getting ready for the night.

"Hey Garra look at my new friend" I said holding Tasogare in my arm he looked up at me then the drowsy pup nestled in my arms "isn't he just adorable" he reaches a hand but is hesitant almost like he was scared or something "hm he's not gonna bite. Silly panda-chan" I teased lightly

I place the pup down and he was a bit hasty at first before walking over to Gaara sniffing him they stared at each other for a couples of minutes before Taso rubbed his head against Garra's leg. He looks up at me bit confused "that means he likes you" I stated, he picked up Tasogare in his arms bit hesitantly, looking down at the pup I just nodded back reassuringly and he ghosted a smile as started to pet the animal.
