There was a chaotic scene happening in Atlantis.

Council members argued with one another as Triton stood before Attuma, a chain bound to his wrists. He found himself in precarious situation, awaiting Attuma's verdict as he prayed to Neptune and hoped for the best. Percy Jackson was still nowhere to be found and Triton could only hope that he found something on Attuma and was on his way.

"Silence!" Attuma roared and everyone went quiet. "Triton, do you understand the consequences that behold when conspiring against your king?"

"I can hardly call you a king," Triton muttered. "More like a dictator."

Attuma smirked ini response. "For your acts of treason and betrayal, I shall give you your verdict, a death sentence to the Chambers, just like your father before you." Attuma eyed everyone in the Council, daring them to oppose him. "Is there anyone who liked to oppose my decision?"

Nobody said anything.

"All those in favor, say 'aye'."

Several "aye's" went up.

"All those against the verdict say 'nay'."

"Nay," a new voice said.

Everyone turned to look at the person who spoke and Triton couldn't help but break out a grin, despite being on the edge of being handed out a death sentence. None other than his brother, Percy Jackson, walked into the room, looking up at Attuma with a vengeful glare as he strode up to the throne.

Attuma stood as Percy walked up to him. "You."

Percy looked up with an emotionless expression. "I see you already been informed about me."

One Council member stood up. "Um, excuse us all, who are you again?"

Percy turned to look at him. "I'm Percy Jackson, King Aegaeus's other son."

Several Council members gasped. They whispered amongst themselves, Percy managing to catch a whisper about that they didn't know King Aegaeus had another son.

"So the bastard son decided to show his face," Attuma mused. "How daring of you. What exactly did you have in plan coming here?"

"What else?" Percy replied. "I'm here to stop your schemes." He turned to the Council. "You didn't know King Aegaeus had another son. I'm not surprised I was never mentioned. I know what this tyrant did to my father, send him to a death sentence for 'crimes' that were only visible in his eyes. But because he deemed himself as ruler and took over the throne in his absence, he found himself with the power to do so. But do you know the whole backstory?"

"What backstory is there to tell?" Attuma challenged.

"How about the fact, that you are the reason I'm alive?" Percy sharply replied.

"That is nothing but a lie," Attuma muttered.

Percy raised an eyebrow and looked back to his audience. "King Aegaeus was coming back from a business trip on the surface. But he didn't disappear. It was Attuma who sent a ferocious sea monster after my father. He fought the beast … but it wasn't enough. He lost and in turn, was injured very gravely. He washed up ashore and met my mother. She tended to him and took care of him while he healed. The two fell in love … and then I came to existence. During this time, Attuma formerly took over the reign and sent people to collect my father. Then he had him tried and handed a death sentence, for what? I assume for abandoning his post as king?"

Some people in the crowd nodded before one spoke up. "Yes … th-that was the reason."

Percy nodded. "He didn't though. Attuma had him sent away and Attuma had him killed, so he could formerly take over the throne with no one opposing him." Percy looked back at Attuma with a loathing stare. "This was all part of his plan to begin with. Something straight out of a Shakespeare story."

Council members whispered among each other as Attuma tilted his head up to look confident but Percy could see it in his eyes, he was seething. He was losing the Council and he didn't like it, one bit.

"What a wonderfully crafted-"

"I'm not finished," Percy interrupted. "Years later, you found out the old king had a son. And I'm guessing you are the one that sent Chiron after me."

Attuma frowned.

"It makes sense, now that I think about it," Percy said. "Chiron said otherwise, but I knew he was hiding something. Because instead of finding me and bringing me to you so you can have me killed, he trained me. What started off as a way to defend myself became him seeing me as someone worthy of the throne. Truth be told though, I didn't want the throne then, and I still don't want it. But you assumed that I was gonna take it eventually and you didn't want to risk that, and that's why you killed Chiron as well. You thought he was plotting … so you had him killed."

Many audience members were visibly shaking their heads now.

"I may not want the throne, but it's obvious it shouldn't go to you. It shouldn't go to someone who is nothing but a warmongering … blood-thirsty … tyrant. You seek to conquer the world, hung up on the past as if you even lived through that period. Atlantis is supposed to evolve, not the other way around!"

"I will take back what used to be ours!"

"And how exactly you plan on doing that? Using your secret army of orca monstrosities?"

"Excuse me?"

Percy flicked his wrist, displaying what looked like a watch but when he tapped it, a giant holographic screen appeared in front of the Council members.

"By the way," Percy started. "You guys have very amazing technology."

None of them seemed to hear what he was saying, as they were busy staring at the display screen of Percy's photos he had taken at the clinic. He swiped through them before he showed them the video at the very end.

"Here you have evidence of what Attuma has been hiding from you guys. Attuma has been secretly working with a land-dweller named Dr. Lemuel Dorcas. Not a very … you know, someone who's got a few loose screws up there. And just so know … these were Atlanteans, Attuma's soldiers, who volunteered to be lab rats for this experiment," Percy explained.

Attuma was seething. "I have no idea who this-"

"Just before you say that I don't have any proof that you are affiliated with this guy …" Percy interjected.

Percy tapped his watch and the audio recording started to play.

"Please don't do that."

"So this is what you're doing for Attuma, huh? Creating … an army of orca-people, for him?"

"Yes. It is true, I am building an army for Attuma at his request, one which he will eventually use to conquer the world, but … I'm more intrigued as to how can you know about Attuma? Are you … Atlantean by any chance?"

"Half."

"Then he proceeded to try to take my DNA forcefully," Percy added, raising his hands. "The kind of people Attuma works with, ladies and gentlemen."

The Council members stated to get vocal. "We must do something about this!"

"This is an atrocity!"

"Attuma, you must pay for your crimes!"

"How dare you, Attuma!"

"Attuma has been exploiting his power!"

"SILENCE!" Attuma boomed.

Percy raised his hand, silencing the crowd. "You know what, do let him speak. I want to see how you're gonna justify this."

"I did this for Atlantis," Attuma said. "I did this because for years, the land-dwellers have been plotting against us. They seek to find us, and they seek to destroy us."

Percy chuckled. "Really? Most of the land-dwellers … don't even know we exist."

"That orchestrated attack on themselves? That's further proof that we're next," he continued.

"The 'orchestrated attack' was an attack from outer space by aliens, you deluded tyrant," Percy said, using his fingers to quote. "We have a word for that. It's called 'reaching', for something that's not there."

Attuma was about to counter with a follow-up but Percy cut him off. "That's all a big pile of lies, anyway. Attuma is a warlord, he seeks to conquer and he'll look for any excuse to do it. But now that his little secret army is out of commission, you don't get to do that anymore."

"Attuma was planning on having everyone in the Council killed!" Triton suddenly bursted.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot about that," Percy said. "Me and Triton heard some of his soldiers talking about it. He wanted all of you out of the way so he'd be free to do whatever he pleased, and no one would be there to oppose him."

The Council members had all but lost every and any bit of support they had for Attuma.

"I've had enough!" Attuma roared. "Soldiers!"

The doors bursted and Percy glanced back at them before eyeing the Council members and Attuma himself, almost surveying his odds of taking on Attuma while trying to get everybody out.

Percy stood in front of the ruler of Atlantis before turning to his audience. "You see this, ladies and gentlemen. These are the actions of someone who's lost!"

Attuma leaped from this throne with a roar towards Percy, who extended his hand. His own trident flew into his hand and blocked Attuma's attack entirely, nullifying it completely. Everybody gasped at the sight of Percy's trident. Even Attuma backed away as he eyed the weapon in Percy's hands.

"There is just no way," Attuma muttered. "Is that …"

"The trident of Neptune?" Percy finished. "Yep."

"How do you have that?"

"The god of the seas himself deemed me worthy of it," Percy explained. "You can even ask him if you want."

"Lies!"

Attuma slammed down his trident, but Percy wasn't there anymore, having dodged out of the way.

"Everybody run!" Percy ordered.

The Council members would've been able to escape if Atlantean soldiers hadn't stopped them, but they were fierce warriors themselves and they took on Attuma's loyal soldiers, battling them.

A civil war had all but ensued in the king's palace.

Percy and Attuma circled each other as they seemed to study one another. "You are finished," Attuma threatened. "I will kill the bastard son of Aegaeus, here and now."

Percy clenched his jaw. "I'd like to see you try."

Attuma thrusted at Percy, who parried the attack before striking back. Attuma grunted as the trident pierced his armor and pushed it off of him. Percy narrowly dodged the next strike as it practically nicked his ear, drawing a little blood. Percy sliced downwards, managing to strike Attuma's foot. The tyrant yelled angrily before he kicked at Percy. He managed to put his trident in front of him, blocking the kick, but was pushed backwards by the force.

Attuma attempted to corner Percy, thrusting at him again and again with his own trident. Percy attempted to dodge but Attuma did manage to get him in his ribs one time. Percy grunted as he backed himself into a pillar and planted his weapon, running up the pillar backwards and leaping off, swinging his trident to the back of his head. Attuma managed to block it somehow.

Attuma had the advantage of bigger and bulkier, which meant that Percy had be quick and get in close to strike him where it hurt. Attuma also had armor, which gave him a bigger center of gravity. But that meant that Percy was lighter on his feet, since he didn't have any.

Percy parried two more of Attuma's strikes before clashing with him and forcing their tridents downwards. Percy used his momentum to swing his legs up, wrapping his legs around his neck and forcing his trident against his throat. Attuma angrily grunted like a gorilla as he tried to get Percy off, swinging his trident up and managing to strike him, sending him flying off and crashing against a wall.

Percy grunted as he stood to his feet, Attuma taking his time to get to him. "You cannot defeat me," he declared.

Percy sighed tiredly. "You're right … at least, not alone I can't."

Percy threw his trident, Attuma following its direction as it pierced through Triton's chains, breaking him free. Triton grinned at Percy before a soldier attacked him and he picked up Percy's weapon to hold him off.

Attuma grinned. "That was really stupid. Now you don't have a weapon."

Percy shrugged. "I think I'll manage."

Percy backflipped as Attuma swept underneath, the mutant kicking off the tyrant's chest as he gracefully landed on his feet, Attuma stumbling backwards from the force. Percy then ran up the wall and kicked off of it, acrobatically flipping through the air as he grabbed Attuma's helm by the horns and pulled it right off, exposing his head.

Percy had realized before now, he'd never actually seen his face. Not like it mattered, he had a mane of black hair, thick eyebrows, a crooked nose and a mean-looking expression. Percy imagined he could've looked like the god of war, Ares, if he was blue-skinned.

As the warlord recovered from having his helm taken off surprisingly, Triton called out to the mutant, "Percy, catch!"

Percy immediately had a hand out, his trident flying back to him as Triton joined him, standing next to him and having defeated his temporary opponent, taking his weapon off of him as well.

Attuma gritted his teeth in distaste. "Looks like the nephews have banded together."

"Feeling's mutual … Uncle," Percy retorted in the same tone.

"I'll take his right," Triton called.

"And I'll take his left," Percy finished.

Percy had to admit, he and Triton made an amazing duo. The two moved like two peas in a pod, giving Attuma zero chances to strike back. If Attuma tried to zero in on one of them, the other was attacking from behind. If he tried taking both at once, they struck back together.

But despite the two of them nulling Attuma's offense and rendering it pointless, his defense was still really good. The two of them were able to defend well against them, but Attuma seemed to match them combined in defense, almost like he had eyes in the back of his head. They couldn't find an opening, even together.

The almost fatal mistake came when Triton lowered his guard, Attuma didn't miss the opportunity to strike at him. He feinted at Percy, who expected an attack to defend against, and it never came. Attuma switched his attention to Triton and swung his trident with extreme force, sending him flying to a pillar. Triton was slow to get up.

And in a surprising twist of events, Attuma regained a boost and attacked Percy mercilessly who could only defend himself against him. Eventually he struck the trident of Neptune so hard, he cleanly disarmed him, sending him and his trident flying in two different directions. Percy tried to stand up but realized his trident was across the room, with an angry Attuma marching towards him ready to sink him through.

"At long last, the bastard son of Aegaeus dies!" Attuma said, ready to sink his trident.

Suddenly, he stopped midway through, as three points of a trident penetrated through his gut and blood flowed from his mouth. Percy kicked up at his chest and Attuma fell backwards, making the trident sink further into his gut as a very hurt Triton, clutching his ribs, stood over him.

Triton helped Percy stand to his feet. All around him, people and soldiers stopped fighting as they turned to look at the dead king. Percy took out what was undoubtedly the trident of Neptune from Attuma's back, courtesy of Triton. People broke into cheers as Attuma's loyal soldiers surrendered on their knees.

"Thanks," Percy told Triton.

Triton gritted his teeth in pain. "Anytime."

"You alright?" Percy asked.

"I'll be fine. Just … ribs," Triton grunted.

At the last word, he almost fell but Percy managed to catch him and draped an arm over his shoulders, helping him out of the throne room to take him to a healer, leaving the former king's fresh corpse to lay on the blue floors of the castle.

Attuma's reign of terror was finally over.
