Bastards.

"What the hell is wrong with y'all?!" Percy yelled at the government workers as they brought Wanda in ... wrapped in a straitjacket.

Percy punched his window which considering was supposed to be strong enough to take the punch of a literal green monster called the Hulk, it didn't really do much. The government workers tossed Wanda into her cell, where she proceeded to sit in a corner and weeped. Percy was angry that he couldn't much to console her as he sat down on his bench.

Percy, Sam, Scott and Wanda were all brought to a super-max prison confinement especially made for enhanced individuals. Curiously enough, the building literally sat in the middle of the ocean. Percy was well aware that he could get out when he wanted to, but that was something a criminal would do, and Percy didn't see himself that way. If he was going to get out, he was going to wait for Steve to get them out, like Sam promised he would do.

At least, the bleeding around his eye stopped. But now he had permanent claw marks over his eye left as scars. A reminder of his encounter with the Wakandan king.

With a lot time spent sitting on his bench, Percy contemplated the events that happened. He had no regrets about backing Steve Rogers, and for everyone's safety, he didn't fight his arrest. Had he done that … there might have been some unnecessary deaths, which would have looked really bad on his part. From here on in, he had try to keep it as peaceful as possible. Sure, at some point, Steve would probably break them out. Hopefully. But for the meantime, they all had to take a backseat while Steve and Bucky did their business in Siberia. Afterwards, Percy knew Steve would come back.

He was that kind of a guy, a no-man-left-behind type of guy.

But he couldn't really say the same for the man that currently decided to stroll inside the Raft at this moment, surveying them all.

Tony Stark.

"Hey, look who it is," Percy commented sarcastically. "It's the guy that knows everything. He sees it all, and he knows what's good for you, even if you don't think so."

"Give me a break, Percy. I had no idea they'd put you here. Come on," Tony protested.

Percy shrugged. "I mean … I guess they had to put us somewhere. But uh, here … in the middle of the ocean? My territory? Come on, I could just summon a sea storm or a tsunami-sized wave and this place is toast."

Tony grimaced.

"But I won't, Tony," Percy said. "You know why?"

"Enlighten me," he said.

"Because I'm not a … criminal. I know you think I might be. I bet this place is for the worst criminals that even have abilities," Percy said. "If I was a criminal … I'd probably be breaking out of here right now …. but I'm simply not. Not only because I'm not a criminal, but I'd also because I would be hurting my fellow comrades. That's just something I don't do."

"But you did break the law," Tony said.

"Fuck the law," Percy said. "The law wasn't permitting us from stopping Helmut Zemo, who you didn't even bother to listen about from Steve, by the way."

Tony frowned. "You know about him?"

"Yeah, I know about him," Percy said. "I'm the one who found his hotel. I'm the one that discovered the real psychologist's body."

Tony bit his lip before he looked around and sneakily tapped his watch. "I just knocked the 'A' out of their 'AV'. We got about 30 seconds before they realize it's not their equipment."

"What are you doing?" Percy asked in confusion.

"I just want to know where Steve went," Tony said. "I realize I was making a mistake. I admit, I was wrong."

"First time you ever do that," Percy commented.

"Cap is definitely off the reservation but he's about to need all the help he can get," Tony said. "Come on, Percy. Give me a hand here. I'm not here out of mal intent. I just want to help Steve."

Percy sighed.

"Percy, I think he's being genuine," Sam said in the next cell over.

Percy nodded. "Okay. He's in Russia, and Sam can tell you exactly where in Russia. But promise … you'll go as a friend and you'll go alone."

Tony dipped his head. "Promise."

Once Sam told Tony the exact location, he was out of there, hopefully on his way to help Steve like he promised he would.

In the meantime, Percy continued to sit in his cell. Thing about prison, it was really boring. Percy almost would have preferred Secretary Ross punch him or something, even as a form of entertainment. But sitting in confined and tight little room for days on end and only being fed a few times a day … yeah, not very fun.

At one point, he called towards Wanda, who was still sitting miserably in her cell that was directly across Percy's. He could understand her being upset, and he just wished he could make her day better.

It only took three days for Captain America to return. And when he did finally arrive, he was the bearer of some pretty bad news.

And by bad, Percy meant borderline catastrophic.

Percy casually walked out of his cell as it opened for him. Him, Steve and Scott all smiled at Steve who had come to rescue them before Percy went straight to Wanda, embracing her. Percy helped out of her straitjacket as Sam hugged Steve.

"So ... what happened in Siberia?" Sam asked. "Wait, where's your uniform?"

Steve sighed. "I met with Tony there and ... we had a falling out."

Percy frowned as he held Wanda's hand. "What do you mean you had a falling out?"

Steve shook his head. "Zemo ... he wasn't trying to use the Winter Soldiers to kill us. When me and Bucky arrived there, they had all been shot dead in their chambers, single bullet to the forehead on each one."

"Then ... what did he want?" Sam asked.

Steve sighed. "He wanted us to kill each other. He showed Bucky's mission in 1991 ... a mission where he killed Tony's parents, had it on full display for Tony to watch."

Sam sighed in despair. "Shit ..."

"We had a fight, a really ugly one," Steve admitted. "Bucky lost his metal arm. So ... now, we're not even acquainted anymore, never mind on speaking terms. But at least, T'Challa wasn't there to kill Bucky any more."

"Well, that's because I told him about Helmut Zemo," Percy said.

"Thank you for that," Steve appreciated. "He was very friendly, even offered Bucky to heal at Wakanda, mentally and physically."

"So where does that leave the rest of us?" Sam asked.

"We're officially on the run from the government," Steve said. "So ... that's really up to you. I would just find somewhere to hide for now. First things first though, we get out of here."

"We're in the middle of the ocean, though," Scott pointed out. "How are we supposed to escape reinforcements?"

Percy smirked. "I can help with that."

The five of them ran out of the Raft, Percy taking the lead on the escape as government reinforcements landed on the building. Meanwhile, Percy and his crew escaped from another hatch that lead directly into the ocean floor.

The Avengers seemed to be have been broken apart for now, but in a few years' time, it would take another great threat for them to band together again.
