Were You Really Talking About The Artist, & Not Klaus?

Summary: What happens when Cami is diagnosing Klaus, Caroline comes in and gives her own opinion. Proving just how little Clammy truly knows Klaus.

Today's Special

"and anyone who saw how she looked at him knew that she was hooked."

~Unknown

"He's angry." Cami sighed, looking at the painter well glancing at Klaus.

Klaus rolled his eyes, well pretending like he was listening. The only reason he was doing this was because Elijah, Marcel and Cami had shoved him out the door.

Telling them to give her a good day.

As if he owed it to her!

He's not the one who asked her to stick around. He let her go of her compulsion months ago. And yet here he is, still suffering.

"Dark. Doesn't feel safe. And doesn't know what to do about it." Klaus resisted the urge to groan, knowing he wouldn't be hearing the end of it for days from Elijah. And the human wasn't worth that trouble. Did he really have to put up with three hours of her thinking she knew him?

She didn't.

There was only one person who saw him. And she was currently in a dorm room states away.

"He wants to control his demons, instead of having them control him." She went on, like a never ending broken record. She wasn't even bothering to stare at the painter on the street anymore. "He's lost. Alone."

Klaus scoffed, but before he could say anything, a voice cut him off.

"Really?" A voice drawled, sending shivers down his spine. He instantly spun around to see a blond goddess that he hoped to some day call his; standing in front of him, arms crossed.

Klaus blinked, listening for her heartbeat. Almost not believing that she was here in the flesh.

Was he still dreaming?

In a nightmare that had turned into a slice of heaven.

Caroline walked forward, her focus completely on Camille. "He isn't afraid of his demons. He owns them. Sure he lashes out, but he does have control of them, after he killed his father and took out the threat." She says.

Cami glares at her, "He killed his father because he was scared."

Caroline rolled her eyes, "The only thing he was scared of was the boy he was before. He isn't anymore. Killing Mikael, allowed him revenge, and take back control of his life."

Cami was lost. What did she mean scared little boy. Klaus didn't tell her any of these things. "You're wrong." She shouted, unable to say anything else.

Caroline raises an eyebrow. "Am I? Were you really talking about the artist, and not Klaus?"

Cami's cheeks turned a bright red, and she lowered her gaze, unable to speak.

Klaus felt something steer in his stomach as his gaze turned heated as he watched his love take control of the situation.

"Thought so." Caroline smirked, flipping her hair back over her shoulder.

Caroline then turned around to finally look at Klaus, knowing once she did, she wouldn't be able to look away. She froze when she saw his smoldering blue eyes eating her up, shamelessly taking in every aspect of her.

The memories of they're last encoder in the wood surfaced, and she had to mentaly slap herself. If she followed that thought trail, there would be no coming back.

'But would it really be that bad?' A tiny voice in her head argued.

Nope, can't do this now.

There would be time for that later.

The blonde swallowed heavily and forced herself to quickly come back down to earth before she lost all control and took him right then and there.

"I believe you owe me a tour." Caroline said, crossing her arms and raising her head. She knew she probably looked bratty, but she didn't care. She was promised new experiences, and she wanted them now.

"Of course love." Klaus answered immediately, moving to her side. More than happy to cater to her every desire.

He placed a hand on her back, not to guide her. But mostly to reassure himself that she truly was here, and that she wasn't going anywhere.

But he couldn't help but wonder, why didn't the hybrids he had protecting her, notify him that she was coming?

Honestly, good minions are so hard to find these days. Well they were always hard to find, but are particularly difficult this generation.

Caroline looked up at him, "What, wondering why Johnathan didn't notify you, hm?"

Klaus paused, busted. Well since the cat was already out of the bag, "Why didn't my hybrid tell me you were coming?"

"Easy. Your command was to protect me, and make sure I stayed safe. And me coming to New Orleans wasn't exactly dangerous. So I convinced him to keep quiet." She answered cheerfully. He left quite a big loophole for her. "But still, that doesn't change the fact that it is a major violation of my privacy."

"In my defense, you made me promise to leave. But you never said anything about me sending someone to protect you." Klaus smiles.

Cami stares in at the pair. Klaus has never smiled like that for her.

Not once.

And a bodyguard?

A hybrid one at that.

Everyone knew Klaus only had a handful of hybrids left, yet he had one stationed 24/7 for that vampire. Klaus never did anything like that for her. He never cared enough to.

"Doesn't matter. And don't even think about changing Johnathan, he's my friend now." Caroline smiles. "I eventually won him over."

"Of course you did love." Klaus sighed, gazing at her with fond eyes. Normally he'd be angry, but the hybrid was only following his queen's command.

How could he blame the man?

When he himself, was nothing more than a slave to her whims.

"Enough of that. I want beignets." Caroline demanded, entwining her fingers with him. A small gesture that had a new feeling, that he only felt around her fluttering his chest.

She began to lead him towards the street, both of them completely forgetting about Cami.

Leaving the red cheeked human, standing there like forgotten trash that someone forgot to throw out.

"Whatever you want sweetheart." Klaus smiles, letting Caroline lead him away, saving him from what would have been a tortuous day.

I honestly have not seen this scene - all my information comes from a Klaroline amv I watched. I would have catched a clip on Youtube. But I am honestly scared that if I do much as type her name, it's gonna start recommending me (Que gag) cami content! As if. If I so much as see her in a thumbnail or a title, I go straight to "Do not recommend'.

You know what I compared this to, the scene where Klaus shows Caroline the city. Like here's Cami, bringing the guy down (he's not even smiling). But with Caroline, they're having a good time, and he can't stop smiling. So who, who wants to come at me and say Klaus x Cami, it isn't.

It was fun writing Caroline saving Klaus from having spent time with Cami. Because let's be honest that was torture for Klaus (I literally did not see him smile even once in that amv scene at that scene was like 35 seconds long), and the Klaroline fans. And Caroline saving us from that is a god send.

I have a busy day today, so I just wanted to write something short and quick to relax me.

Also, The Good Girl In Dagger Heels & The Mafia Boss In A Henley is now up.

Anyways,

KLAROLINE FOR LIFE BECAUSE I WILL GO DOWN WITH THIS SHIP!
