A/N I'm writing this on my lunch break please help my soul i got inspired to write so now i am writing again i couldn't be more happy about it. Anyways enjoy this new chapter i've definitely grown from when i started this book, I am so happy to be able to write some form of an escape for the people that may need it so I'm gonna keep updating. Also TW Vomit is a topic in the chapter and if you're squeamish you can skip ahead. i'll leave a Note when it ends :)
Riley was Pregnant. After the day i had just spent with Josh and his parents i had gotten on the phone to talk to Riley "Maya" she breathed out after she had told maya the news for the second time. "Riley. are you sure your Pregnant?" The thought of her being Pregnant made her stomach turn. As teenagers me and Reiley always said we would get pregnant at the same time so we could have kids who born near each other. and this definitely wasn't a part of the plan. "I'm Positive..." she sighed into the phone "But i don't-" she muttered a curse word as her part-time boyfriend who she was always off and on with came home "I'll call you back" she said quietly before hanging up.
Josh had walked in and saw Maya sitting on the ground in front of the bathtub in the bathroom in his old room "Maya? are you alright?" he asked softly as he crouched down. but maya shook her head in response before throwing up the contents of her meal from the day. Josh gently rubbed her back and held her hair back and comforted her as she cried about throwing up in his bathtub. "hunny it's fine i'll clean it up" he said as he pressed a kiss to the top of her head "you just stay over here and if you need to throw up again you can into the toilet while i clean this up" One of the things she loved about josh was that he was so understanding and caring. She would have cleaned it up but she knew that Josh would take over. "alright" she said as she sat in front the toilet. she threw up a few more times after that. she blamed it all on Riley being Pregnant she just shrugged off the fact that she hadn't been sick at all today.
As Josh was cleaning the tub he went and got maya a gravol and a glass of water. he was afraid of what might have caused her to throw up. but he knew that he shouldn't ask about it now. he put the cup down on the counter and watched maya take the gravol and the water "thank you" she muttered as she stared at her phone that was across the room on the floor "whats wrong?" he said softly as he rinsed out the tub. "Riley thinks she's Pregnant but she was going to tell me something else and then just hung up when her boyfriend came home" she sighed and looked at josh who looked stunned and shocked "really?" Maya nodded and that all he needed "don't tell her i told you" he nodded "do you think you will be well enough to go cake tasting tomorrow?" Maya nodded.
The Matthews that knew were already starting planning the big day. and First thing they wanted to do was get the cake out of the way. Maya was grateful they were helping them because she would have no idea how to handle planning a wedding. As they walked into the shop Maya was overwhelmed by the amount of cake that was put in front of a table. all different colours and different frostings. Most couples play it safe by having chocolate and vanilla cake but Josh and Maya were not those kinds of people. Maya Sat down at a seat and picked up a fork "these all look amazing " josh smiled and looked at her "They do. and they look delicious." the pair embarked on a journey of cake tasting. Maya had a few favorites and Josh had a few. so when it came to picking the two just decided on the ones the two liked the most. french vanilla, and banana coconut mocha.
The next part of their plan was cut short by a emergency call for Allan to get to his work as soon as he could. so That had left Josh, Maya, and Amy. "so what did you think of that place?" Maya shook her head. it wasn't really somewhere that sparked a light inside of Maya. Josh however really liked the place. he thought it was quite elegant. but he two knew it didn't feel right. They kept going around to different places until they found a vineyard that was absolutely stunning. maya knew it kind of an Unoriginal thought but this was the place. and Both Josh and Maya knew. once they got home maya had sat down on the bed. before springing up due to a smell that made her sick to her stomach "oh god" she rushed into the bathroom and threw up again. This time Maya knew something was up. and she pulled out her phone and texted josh. 'can you pick up a test' and that was all josh needed to know.
