A/N thank you for all the comments. they make me want to write more and keep updating this story. I have strayed away from the original plan of this story. It is still based off of the song but i have run out of lyrics to add. and at this point i want to continue this But im still going to try and keep the song paper rings involved.
I sat in the bathroom holding the test on the palm of my two hands. i watched as the lines appeared she stared at the test for a while and sighed and stared at it. The second line was very faint but she wasn't sure if it was positive or not. with a shaky hand she slowly dialed Josh's number. "josh!" she said shyly, "can you uh... come upstairs?" she mumbled softly. She sighed. The covid 19 virus had just been ravaging through new york. so going to phili was a nice break from the constant need to wear masks. She knew josh loved his Family. especially his parents and she did too. being out here seeing his family was amazing. she was glad she was able to share this news with his family. but the thought also made her stomach turn. having a baby born in a pandemic scared her. but when josh opened the door she looked at him a smile spread across her face "i think im pregnant" Josh's face lit up like a christmas tree "your serious?" he said with a grin on his face. and maya simply nodded her head "I'M GONNA BE A DAD" Amy and Allan came running up the stairs and shook their heads at the excited boy in front of them "Congratulations" Allan said as he hugged his son, while amy went over to maya and talked to her. "i'm gonna make sure you have everything you need okay?" Amy said and maya nodded.
1 Week Later
Maya, Amy, Allan, and josh all sat in front of the building that would seal their fate of being parents. Riley had already had appointments like this and and helped her through all this. Josh had known Maya was scared and rightfully so. even he was scared. but maya was going through something that would change her body forever. and josh had given her a smile and leaned over in the back seat "nervous?" he asked softly "extremely" she looked at him "whatever happens just know that i love you" and that was all maya needed to know before a smile grew on her face. "thank you josh" a slight blush crept up her neck and spread across her whole face. "i love you" josh pulled away from her and got out of the car walking around and opening her door for her. The two had started to make their way into their new life.
The office smelled like hand sanitizer. Maya had her mask on pulled up over her nose. Josh hated the masks. so when they could take off their masks he was much more happier. he believed the mask hindered maya's beauty. as they sat down in the chairs the office was practically empty. when her name was called the two of them set off for the office, and Amy and Allan had to sit out in waiting room.
"Hi!, im doctor miller, I'll be your OBGYN throughout this journey" he held out his hand and maya smiled and shook it "nice to meet you!" Maya said as josh shook his hand "this is josh, he's my fiance" maya said "ah well congratulations" Doctor miller said before asking maya to put on the hospital gown and excusing himself from the room. Maya put it on and laughed as josh tied up the back of the gown up and pressed a kiss to the top of her head "i look like i'm sick" and josh shook his head "i think you look beautiful in this" Doctor Miller knocked on the door and came in. "let's get started shall we?"
When he had gotten the Ultrasound working he showed us where the baby was, and Maya had started crying "we are really gonna be parents!" She smiled and held his hand with a death grip " he took a moment and stared at the one small peanut shaped blobed baby. "I'll let you both have a moment alone" As the doctor left josh's first movement was a kiss. "we got this" he mumbled against her lips "your gonna be a great dad" she smiled as she pulled away. josh grinned and when the doctor came back he gave them a print of the Ultrasound and a date for their next appointment. they were going to be doing alot of train rides from new york to Phili but they didn't mind. As they walked out Amy and Allen where beaming as Maya held the ultrasound photo close to her. "Let's go home, we have some news to share with the rest of the family!"
A/N I have rewrote this chapter 4 times and if I have to rewrite it to make people happy then I'm not sure what I'm going to. The comments I have gotten on this story up until this chapter have been really supportive. I'm so grateful. I will continue to write this story regardless of any hate I may get. This is My story and if you don't like it please go read another story.
