Chapter 10 Meeting with the King

I don't own Digimon Or The Rising of the Shield Hero

After the wave the group was summoned by the king, the young knight begged them to come so they just had to go.

They were at the throne room with the king looking at a crystal orb of a helper.

"I've been watching the Wave attack and I hate to say it but you've done some good action there."King said.

Naofumi just thinks to himself: You have a stupid way of saying thank you.

"But I must know, the way you've gotten stronger is Impossible for the shield hero, so tell me your secrets and don't even try to lie to me."King said.

Naofumi points down and said:"How about you kneel down and beg?"

Judai and Impmon chuckled at that.

The King got mad and his knights were around the group but Judai looks at them.

"Did you forget who defeated the last two bosses."He said making them scared.

"I demand to know how you've gotten stronger, along with those creatures of hour party, you all have a unfair advantage, so you must give some to the other Heroes."King said.

"I don't think so, Digimon are not pets or slaves."Judai said.

"That's right, we're partners and equals."Impmon said.

The king got angry and he noticed Rino."I remember you from the champion choosing, and I recall you chose to be with the spear hero, so why are you with this criminal?"

"I didn't leave his party by choice, he left me to die after Myne sold me to slavery."She said."If it wasn't for Judai I wouldn't have been here and Naofumi gave me a chance."

"I see, as I suspected the Shield devil has lied to you and is trying to take control of you. How low of him."The king said.

The group got angry and Rino got surprised."What?! Didn't you hear what I said, Naofumi's party didn't do anything."

"You poor thing, it seems he tricked you and is trying to corrupt your mind with his lies."He said.

"No it's the truth!"She yells at him surprising the king."I was there, Malty did that, I saw with my own two eyes, so don't tell me that I imagined it!"

"I know it might be scary to not want to be straight in front of him. But I can help free you-"

"I don't need help! I'm happy with them, and theres nothing you can say that I'm not! Your just being biased against Naofumi like what you did in his trail and duel!"She said.

The knights and court got shocked but Naofumi got surprised.

"I'm trying to help you."King said.

"I don't need help! If that's how you act then this kingdom is doom, if you and that bitch are calling the shots!"She said.

"How dare you?!"He got angry.

"I dare just fine."She crosses her arms.

"You tell him Rino."Candlemon said.

"We won't follow anyone that isn't our friends."Gatomon said.

"So we're leaving."Judai said.

They all started to leave the throne room.

The King thinks of something and said:"Then I'll have those girls be taken and sold off as slaves."

Naofumi glares at him making him scared."If you dare touch any of my party members, I will chase after you and make you beg to be killed."

They left the place and Judai said:"If that guy even touches Kari I will kill him."

"Guys."Kari goes in between them."Let's just go, the church here won't let us get class upgrades so how about we go to Shieldfreeden."

"Why not Siltvelt?"Naofumi said.

"Erhard told me that place is better for us, they accept both human and demi humans, with most of us being human it's safer there."Kari said.

"Well okay."He said.

The group left the place and were outside using the wagon being pulled by Filo.

"Good thing we're out."Judai said.

"Yeah."Naofumi said.

"Shield hero."They saw Melty go up to them with a group of knights behind her."Please there must be something that can make amends between you and my father."

"No way."Naofumi said surprising her.

"Naofumi."Raphtalia said.

Melty stares at him and Naofumi saw tears coming out of her eyes, he sighs and Kari said:"Look Melty, your father was taking advantage of his power to abuse the power of the Digimon."

"Watch out!"Dorumon screams and they saw a Knight trying to kill Melty but Naofumi saves her with his shield.

Then the other digimon attacked them before a beam of ice freezes all the Knights.

They got surprised and looked up to see a kid around 11 years old wearing a blue Winter coat and black pants, he has white hair and blue eyes along with a Digimon at his side being Bulucomon.

"Shiro."Judai and Kari said.

"Bulucomon."Impmon and Gatomon said.

"You know him?"Naofumi asked.

"Yes, he's a old ally of ours."Judai said and Shiro jumps down at they're side.

"Guys these knights are working for the church."Shiro shows them a pendant with the Church symbol.

"Wait how did you know about the church?"Kari asked.

"Dad is here."He said surprising the group that knows him.

"Then we have some help, Naofumi we gotta help Melty."Kari said.

Naofumi looks at them and they were giving him a look that said:"Do the right thing."

"Fine, where should we go?"He said.

"We should go see my mother, she would know."Melty said.

"Then let's go."Judai said and they went to find the Queen.

Note: Here's the meeting and now the group has to protect Melty, Shiro's backstory will be revealed later and I'm not interested in doing a normal Digimon story.
