Day of the Entrance Exam

Izuku woke up and smiled before getting dressed. Ten minutes later he walked into the kitchen and found that his mom had already cooked breakfast for them. He gave her a hug and sat down "Thanks mom, this all looks and smells amazing. Though you didn't have to get up and cook for me this early."

Inko nods and smiles "I know but I wanted to see you off before you went to the exam today. I know you'll make it in because I believe in you sweetie."

Izuku smiles and nods "Thanks mom, I'm glad that you're here with me."

The two of them shared small talk while eating. When they finished Izuku looked at the clock and sighed before standing up "If I want to get there on time I need to leave now mom, I'll be back later, love you."

Inko nods and smiles "Do your best Izuku! Love you too."

Izuku smiles back and put his shoes on before grabbing his bag and walking out the door. One the way to the train Momo called and Izuku answered "What can I do for you on this fine morning Momo?"

He could hear the smile in her voice "I just wanted to call you and wish you luck for the exam today."

He chuckled "I'll do my best, thank you for giving me some good luck Momo. You know my mom was asking me about when you're going to come over again. I know that tonight is family night for you and your parents but would you like to hang out at the beach I cleaned before coming over for dinner with my mom and me?"

Momo beamed "Sure, it would be nice but would you mind if I invite someone I ran into the other day while walking around. You were cleaning the beach so I didn't get a chance to introduce the two of you."

Izuku smiled "Sure, who knows I might meet someone at the exam that I might invite to join the three of us just in case."

Momo giggled "That would be fine since you're letting me bring someone with me. I'll see you tomorrow. What time will you be here to get me?"

Izuku thought for a few seconds "How does 10 a.m sound?"

She clapped her hands together letting him know that she had him on speaker "That sounds perfect. That would give my friend more than enough time to get here so the three or four of us can walk together."

Izuku smiled "That works out for me. I'm almost at the stop of U.A so I have to go now Momo. I'll see you tomorrow alright?"

Momo smiled "Sure, see you tomorrow Izuku."

With that Izuku hung up and got off the train. He walked through the front gate of U.A and smiled 'This is the first step towards my dream of becoming the world's greatest hero!'

With that Izuku started walking forward. He looked over his shoulder when he heard Katsuki shout "DEKU!"

Izuku just looked forward and ignored him. Katsuki seethed when he realized what Izuku was doing before running up, grabbing Izuku's shoulder and spinning him around. Katsuki snarled in Izuku's face "DON'T YOU FUCKING IGNORE ME YOU DAMN WEAKLING!"

Izuku just put a hand over Katsuki's mouth and gave him a stern glance "Don't scream at someone right in their face since the next time you might do that the person you do that to will knock you out."

With that Izuku let go of Katsuki and walked into the building in order to take the written portion of the exam. Two hours later he was sitting in a large auditorium waiting for someone to explain the rules of the practical exam to everyone. Two minutes later Present Mic walked on stage with a large grin on his face. Mic had slicked blond hair, light skin, yellowish eyes, and two speakers around his neck. Izuku smiled and quickly read through the handout everyone was given when they entered the room. When he was done he looked back at Present Mic and waited. Present Mic smiled as he walked up to the podium "Come on listeners, let me hear a YEAH!"

Izuku stood up and cupped his hands around his mouth "YEAH!"

Present Mic smiled when he heard that. Izuku sat back down. Present Mic looked at Izuku "I like your attitude little listener! Now are you all READY?!"

Izuku smirked and cupped his hands around his mouth again "READY!"

This caused Mic to start chuckling. After he got himself back under control he started explaining the practical exam. After he had just finished explaining the three robots that give people points a male with dark blue chin length hair, tan skin, blue eyes and stood at 5'10. This was Tenya Iida. He looked at Present Mic "I have a question! The handout you gave us shows four villain not three. If this was a mistake on U.A's part then it's a disgrace to the reputation of this wonderful institution! Further more you with the unkempt hair! You're distracting everyone else. If you can't take this seriously then leave!"

Izuku snorted "Listen to me and listen well idiot. You're the distraction because you interrupted Present Mic while he was explaining and I have no doubt that he would have gotten to the fourth villain for the exam. As for me, the only time I said anything was when Present Mic asked as too. Think of it like a singer or a performer asking for audience precipitation."

Iida sat back down and Present Mic smiled "Alright, calm down little listeners! Now the fourth villain is worth zero points, it's best to just avoid it. Think of it as a trap villain from a video game! Now let me hear you all give the school motto!"

Everyone raised their fist in the air "PLUS ULTRA!"

With that all of the examines walked to the locker rooms in order to change into their new costumes for the practical. Izuku got on a bus and rode it to his testing site. When the bus stopped at test site B Izuku and several others got off including Iida. Izuku started stretching and warming up to get ready for the exam to begin. The gate opened and Izuku charged in while also gently nudging a girl with brown hair in a bob cut with two shoulder length bangs framing her face, a round face, large brown eyes, light skin, and stood at 5'1½. This was Ochaco Uraraka. She smiled when he passed and he returned the smile before turning himself into lightning and flashing away. He started destroying robots left and right while also helping other examines. Present Mic looked at his watch and smirked "TWO MINUTES LEFT EXAMINERS!"

A few minutes earlier in a dark room full of monitors watching the exam from all of the testing sites were several people. They were all staff members of U.A and they were watching all of the examines. One looked like a mouse, dog, bear hybrid and he was wearing a suit. This was the principal Nezu. He looked at a monitor where Katsuki was attacking several other robots. A women with long spiky dark purple hair that reached her lower back, sky blue eyes, light skin, and stood at 5'9. This was Nemuri Kayama also known as the pro heroin Midnight. She looked over several monitors that showed several U.A hopefuls before her eyes stopped on a monitor watching Izuku. She licked her lips "Well look at this one, he's got power, speed, great reaction time, great reflexes, and amazing area awareness. What's his name, the boy with green unkempt hair from test site B?"

Toshinori looked at the monitor that Nemuri was staring at and saw who she was talking about. He smiled "That's Izuku Midoriya. He's the one that saved the hostage the sludge villain had ten months ago. He's the one that got a warning from the police. The only reason he didn't get any community service was because he didn't fight, he just grabbed the hostage and got out of the way."

Nemuri's eyes widened and she smirked "I remember that, he was incredibly powerful and fast then too. It looks like he's only gotten better since then."

She looked closer at the monitor that was showing Izuku "Wait a minute, when he took on the sludge villain ten months ago he used lightning. I've seen him use fire, wind, and earth as while during the practical exam. What's going on here? Does he have more than one quirk?"

Toshinori picked up Izuku's file and started shuffling through it before stopping and reading the paper about his quirk, His eyes were wide when he looked back at Nemuri "No, it's all one quirk but it started out as just lightning. He called it 'Lightning Dragon' at that time. However a year later he found himself doing the same thing with fire so he and his mother went back to the doctor and had several tests done on him. When all the tests were done the doctor wrote down that Izuku could use multiple elements. The ones listed here are air, fire, earth, water, lightning, iron, light, shadow, and poison. There's also a note from the doctor that says if Izuku trained them he could use two or three elements at the same time making a new element. The doctor even listed the elements he believes Izuku could use one day and what main elements would be needed to make them. Those elements are ice made from air and water, lava made from fire and earth, chaos made from light and shadow, dust made from air, earth and fire, and finally storm made from air, water, and lightning. The note also says that Izuku could also use or make other elements."

Everyone in the room with the exception of Nezu looked at Toshinori with wide eyes before looking back at the monitors trying to find Izuku. Nezu pressed a large red button "Let's activate the real test for them."

Back at test site B Izuku heard rumbling before looking towards where the sound seemed to be coming from. He saw a robot that was as tall as a six story building. Izuku turned his body into lightning and flashed onto the top of a building close to him. He watched as the other examines started running away from the zero pointer and frowned 'Idiots, the lot of them. There are others that could use your help and all you're doing is running away like cowards. We're here to be heroes and yet now a one of you can understand that being a hero means saving people.'

Izuku started using his wind element to get others to safety when they couldn't do it on their own. A few seconds later he thought he had gotten everyone and turned to get out of there himself before he heard a female voice that was rather weak as if it was coming from someone that was in pain as well as being tired. He listened closely to locate the girl,

"-help me"

"Please someone help me."

"Help me please!"

When the third time came around he found that it was the girl he nudged at the beginning of the exam. Izuku noticed that the zero pointer was about to roll right over her and knew that his wind element wouldn't make it in time so he turned himself into lightning and flashed to her side. The girl yelped on surprise. She then watched with wide eyes and Izuku stomped on the ground. She felt the weight on her leg go away and looked back to see a small dome of earth holding the ruble above her leg allowing her to get out. She crawled forward and smiled at him when her leg was out of the way. He let the small dome sink back into the ground and looked up at the zero pointer "Miss, can you walk?"

She tried to get up only to feel a flash of pain shoot through her right leg which had been trapped under the ruble. She started to fall before realizing that she didn't hit the ground. She looked up and saw the emerald green eyes of Izuku looking down at her with concern. Ochaco smiled and had a light blush cross her face "Thank you for helping me. It seemed like no one could hear me."

It was at this point that Ochaco realized how weak her voice sounded. She looked at Izuku with wide eyes. He smiled and answered her question before she could ask "My senses are enhanced due to my quirk. I was able to hear you rather clearly once I focused on your voice. That's how I knew you were in trouble. Now I'm going to do something that might frighten you but please try not to scream alright?"

She nods and had to hold on to him tightly when he suddenly jumped straight up into the air. When he was level with the zero pointers face he covered his left leg in fire and smirked "Here's something to remember me bye!"

Izuku did a front flip before standing on the head of the zero pointer with is left leg alone. He looked around quickly to make sure no one was close to the giant robot and nodded when he didn't see or hear anyone else. He then looked at Ochaco and smiled "It's about to get hot under us but don't worry I won't let you get hurt alright?"

She nods and lets a small smile cross her lips when she felt herself start to cool down from the heat she was already feeling. She then noticed the ice covering the right side of Izuku's body under his clothes. She looked back down to the zero pointer just as she heard Izuku again "Fire Dragon's Melting Step."

Ochaco as well as the rest of the examines and the judges watched in awe as Izuku quickly melted the zero pointer into a pile of molten scrap metal. He then walked towards the other examines after making sure that the metal was frozen by his ice so no one else had to risk getting hurt to clean it up. When Izuku got to the others he noticed that there was an elderly woman dressed as a doctor with a cane that looked like a needle walking through the crowd, He smiled when he realized that the woman was Recovery Girl. He gently put Ochaco on a piece of robot that lowered her enough for Recovery Girl to take a look at her but also kept her off the ground. He also made sure that Ochaco's right leg was elevated to reduce any possible swelling. Recovery Girl walked over and was impressed when she saw how well Ochaco had been set that she smiled at Izuku "That's a good job getting her in a decent sitting for her injured leg young man. I didn't think younglings like you still paid proper attention to these kinds of things."

Izuku chuckled and gave her a smile "Thank you for the praise. I only know how to do this because my mother is a nurse and she made sure I knew basic first aid for when I was helping with a disaster in the future as a hero."

Recovery Girl nods "Well she did a wonderful job. I'll have to let Inko know that her son is rather talented when it comes to helping someone injured while in the field."

Izuku looked at her with wide eyes "You know my mom?"

She nods "Of course I do Izuku, I work at the same hospital she does when I'm not here after all. She almost never stops bragging about you unless she's working. I've heard quite a few stories about how you're going to be one of if not the best hero the world has ever known. Inko truly believes that you'll be greater than All Might himself one day."

Izuku smiled "That's the goal I've set for myself because my mom has always believed in me and I want her to see that I can make it."

Recovery girl nods and gives Ochaco a kiss on the hand to heal her. Ochaco thanked her before she started to fall over. Ochaco was surprised when she felt someone catch her again. She looked up and saw it was Izuku. She smiled at him "Thanks, I'm kind of tired all of a sudden. Oh I'm Ochaco Uraraka by the way."

Izuku smiled "I'm Izuku Midoriya and you don't have to thank me. Recovery Girls quirk let's her heal almost anything but it takes the energy and stamina from the person that's injured. I figured you'd feel tired after she got done. Oh and you should drink this slowly."

He handed her a bottle of water. To her amazement it was cold. Ochaco looked at Izuku "How is this water still cold?"

Izuku laughed "You remember the ice that was covering the right side of my body before I melted the zero pointer? Well I can also use that to make sure drinks are cold for other people too."

Ochaco nods "Yeah that makes sense. Just out of curiosity what are all of the elements you can use with your quirk so far?"

Izuku smiled "I can use fire, air, water, earth, iron, light, shadow, ice, mist, lightning, and poison so fare."

Ochaco chocked on the water she was drinking. After coughing enough to breathe again she looked at him with wide eyes "You can use poison?"

Izuku sighed "Yeah, I'm not going into detail about how it works but you should know that the doctor who put me through several tests for what my quirk could do only took a sample of my blood and gave it to someone wearing a hazmat suit to test to see if I could use poison. Also I get to choose what my poison does to someone and most of the time I got for knock out poison, kind of like Midnight's quirk in that regard. When I run into someone that doesn't work on then I go for one that causes people to experience events as if they were drunk. It makes them easier to knock out with a solid attack."

Ochaco smiled and nods "That's nice to know since I was worried that you don't use that part of your quirk since it sounded like you could kill someone with it."

Izuku rubs the back of his neck "I can kill someone with it but I can also make sure that they just take a nap. While heroes are allowed to kill it's always as a last resort. I'll use it like that if nothing else I do work but I really don't like thinking about killing someone even if they're a villain. I know that some villains become villains simply because they wanted to. However there are some villains that become the way they are because of something that happened to them."

Ochaco nods "That makes sense. I don't really like thinking about that either anyways I'm not feeling so tired now, so I'm going to make my way home now."

Izuku nods and helps Ochaco to her feet "That's fine but I wanted to know if you had any plans for tomorrow?"

Ochaco shook her head "No, I'm free why?"

Izuku smiled "I'm going to a beach close to my house with a friend and she's bringing someone with her. I was wondering if you wanted to join us?"

Ochaco nods and beams "I'd love to! Here's my number so you can send me the directions later!"

She wrote her number down on a piece of a paper before handing it to Izuku. She then walked away with a hop in her step and a large smile on her face. Izuku put the paper in his pocket and walked to the locker room. He got changed and walked to the front gate only to see Momo standing there with another girl. The other girl had dark purple hair with two bangs framing her face, her hair also lengthened across her forehead from right to left, she also had black eyes, light skin, and what looked like earphone jacks hanging from her earlobes, she also appeared to be the same age as him and Momo while standing at 5'0 even. This was Kyoka Jiro. Izuku walked up and smiled at Momo "I didn't think I'd see you until tomorrow Momo."

He then turned to the other girl "I'm Izuku Midoriya; it's nice to meet you."

The girls gave him a blank stare "My name is Kyoka Jiro."

Izuku looked at her with a raised eyebrow. He was about to say something before a female voice behind him stopped him. He turned and saw Ochaco running up to him "Midoriya wait for me! I wanted to talk to you some more about tomorrow!"

Izuku smiles "Sure but before that I should introduce you to my friend and her guest. This is my friend Momo Yaoyorozu. The girl next to her is Kyoka Jiro. Girls this is Ochaco Uraraka and I helped her with getting some rubble off of her leg during the test. Momo I hope that it's alright with you that I invited her to the beach tomorrow."

Momo smiles at Ochaco "She's more than welcome to join us. However I'm here because I wanted to introduce you to Kyoka."

Kyoka looked at Izuku "You have to call me Jiro until I feel like I can trust you."

Izuku nods "Alright Jiro, I take it that you have a bad history with guys?"

She just nodded but didn't say anything. Izuku gave her a soft smile "I understand, don't worry I won't push about it I just wanted to know why you don't seem to like me. I now know that it's something that you don't want to talk about. All I ask is that you let me know when you feel like you can trust me alright?"

Kyoka relaxed a little and gave him a quick nod. Momo looked at her before putting a hand on her shoulder. Kyoka looked over at Momo and shakes her head before giving Momo a small smile "I just don't want to make sure that I'm not making the same mistake again is all Yaomomo."

Izuku raised eyebrow and looked at Momo before giving her a teasing smile "She's already got a nick name for you?"

Momo knew what he was doing and playfully huffed "Hush you."

Izuku chuckled and put his hands up in surrender "Alright, I'm done."

Kyoka giggled before looking at Izuku sharply. However she noticed that he didn't seem to have heard her so she poked him in the side with one of her jacks to get his attention. He turned to her and she looked at him questioningly "Why aren't you making fun of me?"

Izuku looked at her with a raised eyebrow "I don't have a reason to make fun of you for acting like a girl."

Kyoka looked at him with wide eyes before looking away so he wouldn't see her smile. Momo however did see it and she was pleased that Izuku was showing Kyoka there were good guys left in the world even if they are rather rare. Momo looked at Ochaco "Sorry if we made you feel left out. Would you like to grab some lunch with us?"

Ochaco smiled and nods "That sound great and don't worry I understand that you were just talking. I just didn't see a way to get involved into the conversation. Although I don't have a lot of money on me so we have to go somewhere kind of cheap."

Izuku shook his head "Nah, lunch is on me so don't worry about paying for it this time."

Momo looked at Izuku and huffed "There's no way I'm letting you pay for lunch Izuku."

Izuku smiled at her "You can't stop me Momo."

She looked at him and gained a determined glint in her eyes "We'll see about that~"

With that the four of them start walking away from U.A while getting to know each other better.
