The next day was really a blur for Marinette. She was so excited that she was going to Japan with her friends.
Adrien on the other hand was not nearly as excited. For starters, this trip meant he was with his father and Natalie instead of his friends, he didn't have as much freedom to do what he wanted, and most importantly, he couldn't see Ladybug. Or at least that's what he thought.
Upon arriving in Musutafu, Japan, Adrien and his father checked into the penthouse suite of a nice hotel in the city. Gabriel soon told Adrien that he needed to take care of some things for business and he and Natalie left Adrien alone in the room. Little did Adrian know, that in about 12 hours Marinette, Alya and Nino would be checking into the same hotel. Adrien also had no idea that in a little over 24 hours that the city would be in danger, and that he and Ladybug would have to team up with some other teenage superheroes to save the day. The thought of this never crossed his mind, so Adrien decided to give Plagg some Camembert cheese and call it a night.

As Marinette was boarding the plane to go to Japan with Alya, Nino and Mrs. Césaire, she had no idea that she would soon be checking into the same hotel as Adrien. She also had no idea that she and Cat Noir would stumble upon a school for super heroes, and that they would team up with some heroes who attend said school.
As the group arrived at the hotel, Marinette said, "I wonder where Adrien will be staying."
"I don't know, but let's go explore! Who knows, maybe we'll see him," Alya exclaimed, as they went out to explore the city.
As they were walking out of the hotel, Marinette tripped over a rug and ran smack into an unsuspecting bystander. "I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed as soon as it happened. "This seems to happen to me all the time."
"It's okay," a familiar voice said as he offered to help her up. "Marinette! What are you doing here?"
"Adrien! Sorry... I'm uhhh on a trip Japan. I mean a Japan summer. Ughhh I mean uhhh a summer trip in Japan!" She exclaimed
"Really, that's cool! I'm just stuck here while my dad takes care of some business. We should hang out together sometime while we're here!" Adrien said.
"Yeah, that sounds fun!" Marinette said.
"You're welcome to come explore with us," Alya said to Adrien as she gestured towards herself and Nino.
"I'd love too, but my dad is having me go with him to meet with an important family this evening, and I have to go get ready for that. Can I meet up with you guys tomorrow?"
"Sounds cool to me, dude," Nino said.
"Sounds good to me then. I'll see you guys tomorrow then!" Adrien said to the group.
