After everyone cleaned up, Lauren entered the kitchen; she looked distraught. Her face and clothes were covered in dirt, and there were sticks in her hair.
"What's wrong, honey?" asked Clint.
"The children," Lauren gasped, holding back tears. "They…they've been taken."
"Taken? By whom?!" demanded Clint.
"And why do you look like you fell out of a hill?" chimed in Yelena.
"I've been trying to get home for 6 months," said Lauren.
"What?" said Kate, standing up from her seat at the table. "That's impossible. You've only been gone for a half an hour. Yelena and I…"
"Actually, yeah," interrupted Lauren, pointing to Yelena. "Who the hell is THAT thot?"
Yelena waved and smiled. "Hi, Lauren Barton," she said. "Lovely home you have here."
"Uh…thanks," said Lauren, caught off guard and forgetting her anger. She sniffed the air. "Why does it smell like pussy and mac and cheese in here?"
Kate walked by Lauren and made her way do the doorway leading outside. When she opened it, she still saw snow on the ground…for about 7 metres.
But just a bit farther beyond the Barton's property, a giant glowing red dome encapsulated the area. Beyond the dome, it looked like it was the middle of summer.
"What the hell?" Kate exclaimed.
"That's what I was trying to tell you," said Lauren, poking her head out the window. It's like there's some kind of barrier surrounding the house! You're stuck in Christmas, but it's actually the middle of June!"
"Who would do this?" asked Kate. "The only person I know that can do this is Dr. Strange."
"It's not Strange," yelled Clint, who ran out the house and stopped near Kate. "This looks like Wanda's magic."
Kate blinked. "Who?"
Clint shrugged. "I'm not surprised you don't know her. Frankly I'm surprised you're familiar with Strange."
Kate pursed her lips. "I do my homework."
Clint raised his eyebrow conspiratorially. "I bet you do."
"Um, hello?!" yelled Lauren from the window. "So what are you going to do about this?"
The window next to Lauren's opened and Yelena poked her head out. "Eh…yelling things is fun, Lauren Barton!" she laughed.
Clint slammed a fist into his hand. "We have to go rescue my kids."
"Sounds like another sexy adventure…" quipped Kate, looping her arm around Clint's.
"Damn straight," said Clint. "Let's go have a word with a Maximoff."
He ran toward the red magic dome and disappeared, but not on the other side. Kate did the same and also disappeared.
"Where did they go?" Lauren said. "They were supposed to go through the dome, but they've vanished!"
"Dunno…" mused Yelena. "Hey, what is a thot?"
When Clint and Kate went through the dome, they found themselves in the mountainous countryside on the other side of the world.
They were standing in front of a house, on the front porch, Wanda Maximoff was sitting, casually enjoying a cup of coffee.
"Wanda!" yelled Clint angrily.
Wanda took a sip and then set the cup down. "Clint. What a nice surprise."
Clint strode toward her. "You can cut the bullshit, Wanda. I know you took my kids, my wife already told me. Now where are they?"
"Your…wife?" Wanda's eyes travelled past Clint and to Kate, who was still trying to understand where they were.
"No…no. That's my partner," exclaimed Clint. "That's Kate, Kate Bishop. Anyway, I don't have time for this. Where are my kids?"
Wanda nodded in Kate's direction. "Well…one of them is right there."
"Son of a bitch," said Clint, exasperated. "Look, I already told you, Kate's…"
"No. Not Kate," said Wanda. "Why don't you ask her to lift her shirt?"
"Lift her…shirt?" Clint turned to look at Kate in confusion. Kate was equally as confused, but she decided to play along. As she played along, she was surprised to find her belly swollen and round. She shrieked and dropped her shirt. "What the fuck…."
Kate lifted her shirt again, revealing her belly. She looked down and then looked Wanda and Clint. "Am I…pregnant?"
"Congratulations," said Wanda, reaching for her coffee mug.
Clint slapped the mug out of her hand and onto the ground, where it shattered. "What the fuck did you do to Kate?!" he said.
Wanda gave Clint a look of annoyance. She waved her hand briefly and red energy caused the mug and its to reform in her hand like nothing ever happened. "I didn't do that her. You did." She took a sip. "You should really wear protection before you fuck someone who isn't your wife."
Clint blanched.
Suddenly Kate realized. If what Lauren had said was true, then time had stopped when they were inside the dome. The second they left the dome, time resumed as normal, which meant 6 months had past since Clint had cum inside her.
Which meant Clint had gotten her pregnant.
Wanda smiled. "Not the surprise you were hoping for, is it sweetie? But don't worry. I can fix this…IF you do a little something for me."
