Chapter 23: Brutal Heavy Metal Deck

"You'd better prepare yourself." Keith chuckled. "The ultimate deck of the American champ, Bandit Keith-sama, is going to send you to Hell."

"You know, that means nothing to me." Jonouchi retorted. "I've made it to the final tournament from the eighth place in an unskilled tournament."

"You're just a brat who's talking big." Keith snorted. "My turn, I'll play this in defense mode."

"I'll also set a monster in defense mode and end my turn." Jonouchi followed suit.

"I know that you only have weakling monsters in your deck." Keith scoffed. "Get out here, 'Torture Machine', attack mode. Go cut his defending monster in half. I'm done here. It's your turn."

"Since you're not going to have a placed card, I'm going all out." Jonouchi declared. "'Magic Guiding Knight Gilita, attack mode. Go, 'Soul Spear'. What?" he gasped when 'Torture Machine' deflected the attack. "It went around it?"

"Gotcha." Keith grinned. "Al of my monsters are Machine types, which are equipped with magic reflecting armor. They're strong against magic attacks. My turn. 'Army Battle Machine – TM-1 Launcher Spider'. Fire. How's that kid?" he taunted. "Like I said before, you're no match for me."

"I'll play a card." Jonouchi took his turn. "Then play a monster in defense mode."

"I know it's just another pathetic monster." Keith snorted. "I'll also place a card. And I'll play this in defense. It slipped out of my hand." He remarked, reclaiming the dropped card. "I'll play this monster in defense mode and end my turn."

"I'll play 'Flame Swordsman' in attack mode." Jonouchi took his turn. "I'll attach this Magic Card to it: 'Salamandra'. The 'Flame Swordsman's attack strength is increased by 700."

"You moron." Keith mocked. "Trap Card, activate. 'Magic Reflecting Armor: Metal Force'. A monster is covered in metal and its attack and defense strength are increased by 400. It's not just a metal conversion. When it's hit with a Magic attack, it reflects it back at its own battle strength. I can't believe you fell for such an obvious trap. You really are a freaking amateur. My turn. Kid, the battle's over. Since your remaining monster is one in defense mode, first of all, I'll use this card on it. An 'Axe Raider?'?" he mused, using the 'Defense Seal' card and forcing 'Axe Raider' out. "It's befitting that you used such a pathetic monster in the end. This is 'game over'. 'Metal Devilzoa', attack the 'Axe Raider'."

"Wham, Trap Card, activate." Jonouchi grinned, using his face-down card. "'Spiked Pitfall'. What's wrong, Keith? Falling for a trap as obvious as this? I would expect more from the American champ. My turn. First of all, I'll place a card. Keith, this is a Trap Card, so be careful."

"Don't screw with me." Keith hissed. "You're a million years too young to pull that with me."

"And I'll return 'Axe Raider' to defense mode." Jonouchi continued. "Then, I'll play this in attack mode. 'Beast Warrior, Garoozis', attack the 'Torture Machine'. What's wrong, Keith? The number one American champ can't stand up to a brat?"

"Shut the hell up, you little brat." Keith snapped. "'Launcher Spider', fire on 'Garoozis'. It was probably blown to kingdom come." He snorted.

"How naïve of you, Keith." Jonouchi tsked. "I've already activated my Trap Card. 'Chained Boomerang'. Once it's activated, it becomes an equipment card, increasing a monster's attack strength by 500. Go, 'Garoozis'. 'Axe Crush'. Sorry, Keith. The only one Hell is waiting for is you."
