The next chapter is up! Enjoy :)
It didn't seem like they were traveling for very long before a large ship came into appearance. Hell, Eve wasn't sure when they made it into space. The cruiser was really fast though. As she sat curled up in a back corner, she can feel herself being squished slightly into the metal wall. She didn't say a word to her two alien captors. Her main concern was what were they going to do with her?
The larger ship was getting closer and closer to them as they traveled towards it. And Eve got more nervous by the minute. Everything from experimentation to being eaten flashed through her frazzled mind. During their chat up front, she heard them mention someone by the name of 'Frieza'. She can only hope it's not the same Frieza Goku told her about a few weeks back. The saiyan warrior mentioned a fighter that kept them on their toes during the whole Tournament of Power, and she recalls him mentioning the fighter was named Frieza. A rather hard name for her to forget since it was such an odd one.
Goku told her about all the fighters involved and she has met nearly all of them since. Save for a couple individuals. Frieza being one of those individuals. He explained to her his role and who he was to them. How he was a Galactic Tyrant who was also both Goku's and Vegeta's biggest enemy. Goku also boasted on Frieza's supposed 'High' Battle Power. She didn't fully understand the concept of energy signatures, battle power, or 'Ki' as they called it. Until they gave her the rundown of what it means.
It was all fascinating yet terrifying at the same time. She had a hard time wrapping her head around the fact that some individuals are so strong that they can wipe out entire planets without breaking a sweat. It certainly didn't help when the orange clad saiyan told her that Lord Beerus could wipe out the Universe of he so wanted to. Eve was pretty leery and nervous around the Destroyer God after hearing this.
"Come in, Lieutenant Kikono, Come in." One of the soldiers said.
"Yes, Blu. You're coming in loud and clear." Kikono said, over the intercom.
"We're...we're approaching the Main Ship. We shall be landing in the Docking Bay very shortly." He says, with some hesitance.
"Excellent! Great idea bringing the Dragon Balls back to the ship to make the wish rather than taking the risk of making it there on Earth. I'll inform Lord Frieza that you'll be arriving back shortly!" He explained, clearly excited.
"That's the..." Blu began to say.
But the intercom cut out, indicating the Kikono had disconnected the call not long after he spoke. Blu was sweating bullets as he turned to his comrade Cheddar, who wasn't doing any better and thought he was going to be sick.
"What do we do now?" He squeaked.
Blu swallowed the melon size lump in his throat.
"We...we don't have much of a choice. We have to go back. We'll just explain to him the situation that happened, but that we can still go back and complete the mission." He said.
Though, even he knew it was a shitty strategy at best. Even Cheddar gave him a scrutinizing look, not believing that it will be that easy. Still, what else can they do? They were so wrapped up in their own thoughts that they momentarily forgotten their human hostage/passenger. Probably because she hasn't made a peep since being brought aboard the cruiser and sat curled up in the back.
Blu slightly glanced over his shoulder. She was still sitting in the same spot she has been, barely moving. The young woman was glancing out one of the side windows nervously, her eyes still bloodshot and glassy from her tears.
Both men were unsure of what to do with her. They toyed with the idea of tossing her out or straight up killing her. But the Main Ship was upon them now and they don't have time for that. It was currently more important of trying to think of what to say to the tyrant who was awaiting them. She'd just have to go with them when they land.
About three-minutes later, a large hatch on the side of the Main Ship opened up. They steered through, slowed down and landed in an open area of the Docking Bay. Kikono and Berryblue were there waiting for them. Both subordinates had pleased smiles on their faces. Smiles they know wouldn't last for long with the news they along with their Emperor won't be happy about to hear.
As the hatch to the cruiser opened, Cheddar went to the back and grabbed Eve by her forearm and roughly pulled her to her feet. She barely put up much resistance due to her unwavering fear. He kept his hand on her arm as he pulled her through the hatch and onto solid ground behind his comrade. Kikono and Berryblue's smiles faltered slightly and eyed her in confusion.
Eve barely glimpsed at the new aliens, before turning her gaze to the floor in front of her feet. Then Kikono's grin returned.
"I see, you brought our Lord a present along with the dragon balls. He will be most pleased." The small lime green alien stated.
Berryblue remained silent and furrowed her brows in concentration. The human woman looked familiar. Like she's seen her before. Possibly on one of their drone feeds. For now, she shrugs it off and gestures for the two soldiers to follow. Both of which who didn't get a chance to say anything as they were led out of the Docking Bay and headed for the elevator down the hall.
"I say, you two found them all rather quickly. It's nice knowing the radar Etu made works very efficiently. Lord Frieza is most pleased at how quickly you finished this mission." Kikono prattled on.
Both men were silent, trying to figure out how to respond.
"Ehh, about that..." Blu started.
"Enough with the banter, I'm sure you have plenty of time to explain to Lord Frieza once we arrive." Kikono said, cutting him off.
Blu just shut his mouth afterwards and remained silent for the rest of the walk. Cheddar was looking everywhere but ahead of him. While Eve just continued to look at the ground as he pulled her along. Berryblue briefly glimpsed at the quiet human once more, before turning her gaze forward again.
A couple minutes later, they were at the thick double doors of the Main Room. For the first time since she got here, Eve looked up. She looked to the one holding her arm when she felt his hand starting to shake. And noticed both men appeared to be...shaking in fear? That's not good. Not good at all. Just who was waiting for them behind these doors?
Something she will be finding out in a few moments as the large doors slid open with a sharp hiss. The five of them walked into the room which was quite capacious. There was one single object in the middle of the room and that is where they were all headed.
They all came to an abrupt stop a few feet away. Berryblue and Kikono bowed their heads. While the two men shakily got down onto one knee and bowed their heads. Eve was roughly pulled down to the ground. She ended up landing on both her knees with a hiss and wince. She gave the orange one a glare, but he was not even paying attention to the measly human beside him. His gaze along with everyone else's eas focused on what was in front of them.
"I must say, you two buffoons finished this mission a lot sooner than was expected. But I commend you nonetheless." Came a raspy voice.
Eve quickly averted her gaze back to the floor when she saw a flash off movement coming from the odd shaped platform in front of them. A couple moments later she let out an inaudible gasp when pale white three-toed feet entered her gaze.
Frieza only glanced at the petite human woman briefly. He'll ask questions later. Right now, he wanted the dragon balls he believes were in these men's possession.
"Well, what are you two waiting for? Produce the dragon balls." The tyrant demanded.
The men shakily got to their feet. Their initial plan flew out the window with their confidence and in their fear, their minds drew a blank.
"Uh...ye yes. About that my...My Lord. We umm, haven't been able to collect them all. We...kind of ran into a problem." Blu stuttered.
And just like that, Frieza's grin disappeared and morphed into a scowl.
"What? What do you mean you 'kind of' ran into a problem?!" The pintsize tyrant snapped, making both soldiers jump slightly.
Both the idiotic men started blabbering at once. It was during this time, Cheddar released Eve's arm. She backed up a couple paces and observed the scene in fear.
"Enough!" He snapped.
Not soon after, Frieza quickly appeared in front of them. He viciously slammed his tail into the side of Cheddar's face, sending him sailing into the opposite wall. Eve let out a short yelp in surprise and fear at the inhumanly quick but brutal move. The tyrant ignored her abrupt scream and turned his blood red orbs to Blu.
"Explain yourself now!" Frieza grounded out.
Blu started to freak out as he tried explaining what happened.
"I swear, it was something we never expected to happen! We had gathered the first three without any problems! We were very close to gaining the fourth from this girl when...when suddenly Vegeta's Wife comes walking in! We didn't want her alerting her friends so...so we took this girl and used her as insurance to get away! We knew if we had her then his Wife wouldn't be able to notify the others that we were there and risk us getting caught!" Blu blurted out rapidly and rather loudly.
Frieza narrowed his crimson orbs at the man.
"So, you turned tail like the little cowards you were and took off? Though, I guess there was nothing else you could've done seeing as you two are clearly no match for them. Still, it makes me furious that you acted so callous during one mission that should've gone smoothly. Now...what do you think should be done about that?" He says, in a low voice.
Eve didn't like the look he was giving the man. Being around animals most of her life, she knew a predatory stare when she saw one. And that was the look that this short pale alien was giving him right now.
"We're so sorry, Lord Frieza! Please! Give us another chance to collect the rest! I promise we won't disappoint you again!" Blu begged.
The Evil Emperor clenched his fists and continued to glare at the one soldier who was still conscious and standing at the moment. There was silence only for a couple more moments before Frieza's glare morphed into an eerie smirk.
"I know you won't." He said.
Then quicker than Eve could blink, the tyrant was suddenly upon the taller soldier. He sent a downward karate chop at the man. There was a sickening crunching sound as his hand made contact to the area between Blu's neck and shoulder. Blu let out a gargled gasp as his eyes rolled white and he dropped to the floor like a lead weight. When he dropped to the floor the three dragon balls in his possession rolled out of the bag he had tied to his side.
Frieza briefly glanced at them and with a flick of his wrist, sent the balls floating over to his two subordinates to hold. He then made his way over towards the back of the room and stopped a couple feet from the Main Doors in front of some panel. Berryblue and Kikono knew what was coming. They started making their way to another more closed in area of the room. On the way, Berryblue grabbed Eve's arm and started pulling her with them.
They stopped in a slightly cornered off area that had some large pipes lining the wall.
"You may want to hang on, My Dear." She said to Eve.
The young woman wasn't really paying attention to her though. She was too busy watching in horror as Frieza hit the biggest button on the panel. Next thing she knew, there was another hissing sound as something large began to open up. Suddenly, it started getting extremely windy in there. Eve started losing her balance and reflexively turned to grab one of the pipes with both hands. Kikono and Berryblue had done the same moments earlier.
Kikono had a look of panic on his face while Berryblue just smirked as the bodies of the two soldiers were suddenly airborne, sucked up and out of the ship. Frieza on the other hand, remained grounded and unperturbed by the strong pull of gravity. He casually walked to the center of the room and raised a hand up towards the open roof.
Eve's eyes widened when a bright burst of red light suddenly shot forth from his outstretched hand. She followed the strange beam as it exited and watched in horror as it made contact with the two men who were quite far from the ship now. Once the beam hit them, there was a bright flash followed by an explosion. She quickly buried her face in her arms, while still maintaining ahold of the pipe.
She can't believe what she was seeing. He just killed those men and practically used their bodies as target practice and blew them up for extra measure. It all happened so quickly; Eve barely registered when Frieza returned to the wall and pressed the button to close the roof. It closed quickly and they were no longer in danger of getting sucked out.
Berryblue turned her beady gaze to the young woman, whose clothes and hair were a complete mess now from the turbulent wind. She had a look of absolute shock on her face. The tiny blue woman lightly grabbed her arm again and started guiding her back to the center of the room. Eve was in such a frazzled state that she didn't realize her feet had subconsciously moved on their own and mindlessly followed the small alien woman. With Kikono at Berryblue's side.
Frieza stood at the center near the foot of his elevated chair with a sour look on his face.
"Those incompetent fools! They really screwed up this time. Because of their ineptness, my foes are assuredly aware of what my agenda was; Again. There isn't a chance to send someone else there to retrieve the rest of the dragon balls, now that they would be expecting us. This is yet, another mission botched." The tyrant growled in agitation.
"My Lord, surely we can give it some more time. If we wait a while, eventually we will be able to carefully make another move." Kikono dumbly reassured the tyrant.
"Were you not paying attention, you dolt? I simply cannot make another move. Whether it be sooner or later, they will know. There currently isn't a way to fix this." Frieza snapped at the little lime green alien man.
Kikono just stood there wide-eyed shaking like a leaf and nodded.
"Ye...yes, My Lord. Please forgive me." He stuttered.
"In the meantime, what shall we do with the young lady here?" Berryblue asks.
Eve's eyes became glassy as more tears threatened to spill from them. Her gaze eventually found his face. The Evil Emperor eyed her up and down, before settling on her face again.
"She seems utterly useless to me." He states, never taking his eyes off of her.
Her breathing started to grow shallow as her heart sped up, and a couple tears left her eyes.
"If I may, she is quite familiar. From what we have seen on our drone feeds, I believe she is the one who came here from another place entirely. A completely different reality from our own. Even though our drones were unable to pick up the entire conversation between her and the Destroyer's Attendant, there is a level of interest and perhaps potential opportunities to this revelation." Berryblue stated.
Frieza rubbed his chin in thought. A few moments later, a small grin made its way to his face.
"Perhaps your right, Berryblue. There are potential benefits there." He replied.
In the meantime, Eve's vision was starting to darken around the corners, and she was becoming lightheaded. She hardly noticed when Frieza approached her, until he stood in front of her. He may have been small in stature, but he still had a good couple inches on her.
"I do believe your name was mentioned on the drone footage. Eve, was it? What can you tell me about your reality?" Frieza asked.
The current traumatic events and situation finally caught up with her. And in her fear and panic, everything went black. The Galactic Tyrant wasn't expecting the young woman to just up and faint in front of him. But she did and he watched as she crumpled to the floor like a rag doll. Something that thoroughly annoyed him.
"Well, on the bright side; at least she didn't soil herself like a couple of the last soldiers did." Berryblue quipped.
"Berryblue, call someone in here and have them take her to my Quarters." Frieza said as he pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.
She bowed her head, "Yes, My Lord."
Then she floated over to the same panel on the wall not too far from the doors and pressed one of the other buttons and began to call for someone. Frieza turned his attention to Kikono with a scrutinizing look.
"And shouldn't you be going over important documents with our top Elites right now?" Frieza pointed out.
Kikono nodded his head vigoriously.
"Yes, My Lord. I'll get to it." He says, and quickly rushes to and out the doors.
The tyrant eyed the unconscious human on the floor in front of him. Something tells him he's going to have quite the time getting any information out of this one. That thought quickly added even more aggravation to his plight.
Well, it certainly was quite the intro between our favorite Tyrant and OC. I know it may somewhat come off as rather cliche' with her fainting in front of him. Though I always wanted that to be the case for one of my OC's in one of my stories. It adds variety to first impressions with my OCs and I like them to each have their own unique interpretation and reaction upon meeting him for the first time. Plus, let's face it, odds are you always get that one person who faints when impacted with great fear. I can imagine someone can relate if given the unfortunate opportunity to meet this powerful and psychotic Tyrant. Until Next Time ;)
