The next chapter is posted! Enjoy :)
Since that night and morning, they shared. Eve and Frieza continue to grow closer each day. Almost always spending time together when she's home. And their sex life was great. There were times they would go at it like rabbits. At least that is what Eve would joke about.
Time was still passing by rather quickly. And now they were in the first couple days of May. The weather was beautiful out. It was nice, but it made her feel bad because Frieza still couldn't risk going outside. What's worse, they still couldn't find a way to get ahold of Whis and Lord Beerus. Who Frieza still firmly believes is behind the reason why he was transported here and why Eve was transported to the DBZ World and back.
He tried calling out to Whis on several occasions and became very frustrated when the bubbly angel never answered back. Eve tried to explain to him that maybe he can't hear them in this reality. But the tyrant wasn't completely convinced. If they have the power to send them here, then they have the ability to listen in and hear them. Hell, Whis was probably looking in on them through his staff for all they know.
If they truly did send him here to teach him a lesson; well, lesson learned. There was no need to prolong this any longer. Not to mention it still drove him nuts not having his ki. Mainly because without it here, he was still very vulnerable. And no matter how long he stays here, it is something he will never get used to. Nor does he want to.
Eve can tell this all still deeply bothers him. And she is trying her best to keep him distracted from his thoughts on the matter. All while still trying to help figure a way of getting him back. Then there is also the issue on when he does go back, how will she be able to stay in contact with him? She knows it's something she really wants. They been through so much and became so close these last several months. Because of all this, she refuses to say goodbye.
Today was a complete washout as it rained cats and dogs outside. It was now night time. Eve sighs as she goes through some work on her laptop while waiting for a Zoom call from one of her peers at the institute. She checked the time in the lower corner of the screen. The meet should be starting any many. So, she logged in and waited. She was the first one to join the meet so only she was present in the screen.
Eve didn't hear the door to her room quietly open, seeing as she was laying on the bed facing towards the opposite end of the room away from it. Normally, she'd lock the door when she had these meetings but today, she apparently forgot. Not only that, but it also slipped her mind to let Frieza know so he wouldn't knock on the door and interrupt her.
So, it surprised her when someone suddenly flopped onto the bed beside her and then rolled her onto her back. Eve gasped in surprise from the sudden move until she was met with a familiar set of crimson orbs. And right now, they were currently filled with amusement. Before she could say anything, Frieza leaned down and captured her lips in a kiss.
Eve became caught up in the moment and started to reciprocate the kiss. The laptop all but forgotten at the moment a couple feet away. And right now, the two of them took up a good portion of the screen's camera. He was on top of her, their hands roaming each other's bodies.
When she felt his lands slip underneath her t-shirt and slowly start to drag it up her torso, she placed her hands over his top stop them from moving it up further. Eve then pulled away from the kiss breathless.
"Frieza wait, we..." She started.
And then the worst happened. It was at that very moment a couple of the people from the institute joined the meet and their images popped up on the screen. Eve didn't realize it until it was too late. By the time she looked over to the laptop's screen she heard a startled yelp and a gasp. It was then she saw her colleague Rose Bennett with a hand over her mouth and her eyes were the size of golf balls and her other colleague Brad Curtis's mouth was hanging open slightly with an equally perturbed look on his face.
From their view, they could make out a little more than half of Frieza's body. Not only that, but he also couldn't move off of her fast enough when he realized they spotted him. So, for those first several seconds they most likely saw him on top of the young human woman. Both people were still silent at the moment trying to gage what they have just saw.
"Eve? What..." Rose began.
Until Eve hastily slammed the screen down and closed the laptop. She sat up huffing and puffing, clearly starting to panic. Frieza sat on the corner of the bed with equally concerned look on his face. They both knew that her colleagues had seen enough. And what's worse, she has no doubt they will blab about it to anyone who would listen.
Sure, it be hard to believe someone who claims to have seen an alien, even more so claiming they saw one on top of their work colleague in a rather compromising position. But the difference here is they have the hard evidence to back it up. Eve knew it was all recorded. Because everyone there makes it a habit to record all the Zoom Meets for various work purposes.
Eve turned to him with a grim and sad look.
"All they have to do is show that to someone in the F.B.I and that's it. And it wouldn't take long for government officials to come knocking down my door to come in and take you. Mostly me as well after what they have seen in the recorded meet." She said, barely above a whisper.
A serious looked crossed his features.
"Then we need to go. It doesn't matter at this point if you don't agree with me. But I'm telling you; Whis can see and hear us. He needs to transport us both back right away. It's the only option we have. There is nowhere safe here we can go or hide." Frieza replied.
She knew there was truth to his words. And right now, Eve was at a loss of what to do. There were several army and military bases in Massachusetts. Some of which were not all that far from Nantucket. The U.S. Coast Guard Station Brant Point was a hop skip and away in Cape Cod. It may be a two-hour ferry ride from there to here. But if they were to take some jets here, they could probably be there in less than half that time.
Eve's first instinct to do when she was in trouble was to call her family. But the last thing she wanted to do was get Drew and their parents involved in this. It could be very dangerous for them, and she'd never forgive herself if something were to happen to them.
She nervous ran a hand through her long dark locks a few times clearly upset and scared. Frieza came over and wrapped an arm around her shoulders and gently rubbed her arm.
"It will be ok, Eve. We will figure something out..."
"No, we won't. At least not before half the Coast Guard barges into the house to take you away. And I have no doubt that my colleagues are on the phone with them as we speak and showing them that video. We're practically sitting ducks right now!" Eve said, cutting him off.
"Then let's try calling Whis again. We will relay to him that this is a dire emergency, and he is needed here right away. We just need to tell him we are no longer safe here." Frieza said.
"We've already tried that, Frieza. Not once or twice, but several times. Each time there was no response. It's either he doesn't have the power to hear us all the way from this reality or he and Lord Beerus really had nothing to do with sending us here." Eve replied.
"We have to keep trying. It is the best solution we have going for us now." Frieza says.
Eve started rubbing the side of her temples with her fingers trying to think. She knows their Cousin John is with the Coast Guard based out of Cape Cod. Still, she doubts he'd be able to get them out of this. He has good clearance, but not the highest clearance. Nothing is to stop his superiors from giving them a one-way ticket to Area 51 or any other top-secret base.
Her first reaction was to get him into her car and go. But then they would just put out a manhunt for them. It wouldn't take much for them to run her plates or the model of her car. And she is unsure if they could take the boat. Because when they see her, Frieza, and the boat gone, it won't take them long to connect the dots.
It seemed like they were officially fucked with no way out of this. If they run, they will find and capture them. Plus, it be hard for Frieza to blend in anywhere. With his appearance he sticks out like a sore thumb. It wouldn't matter if she tried putting him in baggy concealing clothes either. Nothing will hide the fact that he is an alien being.
Everything was just circling back around to them staying put in the house until someone comes. Because there really was just no way around it. They can't leave in her car themselves. And she sure as hell wasn't going to involve Drew, Matt, or Lina. Hell, she can only hope that government officials won't hound them because of their relationship with her. That was already probably a given, sadly.
So, they could possibly get involved no matter what because of association with her. Eve started feeling horrible. She may as well have put everyone she has ever cared about in danger. And all because she became careless in regard to an ill-timed Zoom Meet. Tears started building up as she turned her attention back to Frieza.
"I don't know what to do. I can't figure out a way to get us out of this. Even if we were to run and make it halfway across the world, the government would be continuously hunting use the whole way and won't stop until they get us." She admitted, as the first few tears fell.
"We have to try and contact them again, Eve." He repeated.
At this point, she was starting to feel desperate. So, she nodded in agreement.
"Ok, go ahead." She said.
Frieza slowly turned his gaze upward as he stood up.
"Whis! If you can hear me, I need you to come immediately! Eve and I are in danger! I have been discovered and there are people that may as well be on their way as we speak to come and detain us!" He shouted to the ceiling.
Just like the last few times, he felt utterly ridiculous doing this. And probably looked even more like a fool who was seemingly shouting up at the ceiling of a room. But this was an emergency this time. During this time, Eve picked up her phone and called Brad. He picked up after a couple rings and right away Eve tried to explain. But even after she told him left and right that the person, he saw was not a threat, it didn't make a difference.
He had already confirmed her worst fears when he admitted that he already called someone in Bureau and had sent them the recorded video. He also informed her that Rose called and put in her statement as well. Brad apologized to her about it all, but in the end, he still felt he was obligated to report this. After a couple more minutes, he hung up with her.
Moments stretched into a couple minutes with no response. And he started to become quite agitated.
"Dammit where the hell are you!? Don't you understand!? They mean to come here and harm us!" Frieza shouted even louder and in anger.
Another few moments went by in silence. Veins started pulsing on the sides of his temples. The tyrant growled in sheer frustration.
"WHIS!" Frieza shouted at the top of his lungs.
He was taut as a bowstring right now and clenching his fists at his sides. He then felt a small soft hand rest on his shoulder.
"Frieza, it's not working. Just...just let it go." Eve said, voice broken as more tears slid down her cheeks.
He turned around to face her. The angry glare on his face quickly melted away when he saw how distressed she was. Frieza lifted his arms and gently pulled her in to embrace her. Eve wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her cheek against his shoulder. He slowly ran his hand through her long hair in an attempt to soothe her and calm her down.
"It will be, ok. I promise." He softly said.
She was silent for a couple moments before speaking up.
"I hope you are right." Eve replied.
Though she knew it was mostly wishful thinking. A small part of her hopes that Whis and Lord Beerus or whoever else may have sent them there has heard them and they will soon be transported back to his reality for safety. And by a small chance, if they were able to make it back there before some feds came banging down the door, she knew there was a chance she will never be able to return home again. Because now, her life will be turned upside down if she were to continue living here. And there was also a chance she wouldn't be safe either.
Frieza held her for a few more minutes before turning his gaze to the small digital clock on her nightstand. Then he dragged his gaze back to Eve.
"It's getting a little late. I think for now, we should try and get some rest. Perhaps, we will be able to think of something in the morning after a full night's sleep." He told her.
Even though sleep was the last thing on Eve's mind right now, she reluctantly agreed. Everything that has happened so far did take an emotional and physical toll on her.
She slowly pulled away from him. Eve approached her side of the bed, pulled the covers back, and got in. Not a few seconds later, the blankets were pulled down on the opposite side of her and Frieza joined her. She scooted closer to him as he wrapped an arm around her. Their faces were mere inches apart as they laid there together in silence.
Eventually, she was able to fall into a fitful sleep. While Frieza remained awake. His mind running with thoughts and suggestions on how he can fix this and keep them safe. After thinking it over thoroughly, his mind went back to one option. It wasn't really the best one, and far from the brightest decision he could make. If anything, it was downright stupid, and suicidal.
But as he continued to watch Eve sleep, Frieza knew it was an option he had to take.
'I've already failed my mother and Polara. I can't just sit here and fail Eve too.' He thought.
His mind was made up. He knew what he had to do. Frieza knew there was a good chance he wouldn't make it out of this alive. But if it somehow meant Eve would be safe then it's a risk worth taking. Because that is how much she has come to mean to him.
Frieza carefully pulled away and got out of bed without disturbing her. He walked around the bed to her side. He leaned down and very lightly pressed his lips to the side of her temple. Before standing back up and turning to leave the room.
Looks like they have been caught red-handed. I know some of you may be wondering why she just doesn't take him, throw him in the car, and leave. But it was stated in so many different ways throughout this chapter that running would be meaningless. Let's face it, when it comes to the Government, there is nowhere to go or hide. Especially for Frieza because he truly doesn't have a way of blending into society. And trying to go all remote cabin in the woods, even that could probably last for so long, before proving to be ineffective over time. P.S. I also took the time to look it up and found out that you can actually record Zoom Meets too. Until Next Time ;)
