The next chapter is up! Enjoy :)

When the light faded, they all found themselves on the large upper story balcony of the Briefs Home. Seeing the light from inside, Bulma came out along with Trunks. And saw Vegeta, Goku, Lord Beerus, Whis, Eve, and...Frieza?! The blue haired scientist was quite surprised to see the tyrant present within the group and yet again at her house.

"Hey! What are you all doing here? What's going on?" Bulma asks.

"Forgive us for the unexpected drop in, Bulma. Just returning everyone from Eve's Reality. It was quite a harrowing endeavor, but they all managed to make it." Whis stated.

The Capsule Corp Heiress blinked in confusion.

"What? Eve's Reality? Are you saying you were all in a completely different dimension?" She asked.

Then looked to her husband and Goku for more answers.

"And why didn't you tell me you guys were going there!?" Bulma practically shouted at the two saiyans.

Vegeta grunted and Goku flinched at her tone.

"Well, we were already on Lord Beerus's World and didn't really have the time to contact you and tell you. We weren't there for very long anyway. Just long enough to help Eve get Frieza out of this military base. Her reality was pretty neat, Bulma. Everything there looks so different compared to here. Only thing that's bad is we kind of lost our ki and were no stronger or faster than the rest of the humans there." Goku explained excitedly.

"Speak for yourself, it was hell becoming that weak." Vegeta grunted.

For once Frieza found one thing he and Vegeta could agree on. It literally was hell being powerless like that. Even worse for him because he spent the better part of a little more than half the year without it.

Afterwards the saiyan prince turned his attention to the tyrant in question and leveled him with a look.

"You were incarcerated there for a while before we came. You didn't happen to blab about us or our dimension while there did you?" He snapped accusingly at Frieza.

The Galactic Emperor glared back at Vegeta and opened his mouth to retort back. But Lord Beerus beat him to it.

"Even if he did, it doesn't really matter. While the human civilization there is quite similar to here, they are still not as advanced, and not a threat to this dimension. Besides, no mortals will ever achieve something as difficult as interdimensional travel. It's only something that Divines can do." The Destroyer said.

"Plus, we made sure that whatever blood samples they took from Frieza were destroyed." Whis added.

Frieza arched an eye ridge in surprise.

"You knew about that?" He inquires.

A knowing smirk appeared on Whis's face.

"We observed a lot of your time in that reality. And took precautions when needed. So yes, we made sure whatever samples they took from you were destroyed. One can never be too careful. After all, it's just as Lord Beerus stated. The people in Eve's Reality may not have been as technologically advanced as the people of Earth here. But they weren't all that far behind either. Give it a decade or two and the advancements will start closing that gap." He clarified.

The tyrant went rigid when Whis admits to watching him this whole time.

"So, I was right. You were the one responsible for sending me to that reality." He said, accusingly.

Lord Beerus just shrugs nonchalantly.

"What does it matter. Think of it as a challenge. And by the looks of it, I'd say you passed." The Destroyer said.

But Frieza would hear none of it and clenched his fists in anger.

"A challenge!? You sent me to a place where all my power disappeared along with my strength and speed. And I spent more than half the time there healing from injuries that would've never happened had I still been in this dimension! It was nearly if not more humiliating than my time spent in Earth's Hell!" He all but shouted.

"That maybe but at least you had Eve here to help out and assist you. And I'm sure even you will admit that your time there wasn't completely distasteful." Whis said, with a twinkle in his eye.

Frieza looked away at the implication. Even Eve fidgeted on the spot and looked around. She hadn't said much during this conversation because Lord Beerus and Whis already filled her in on everything back at her house earlier when they first arrived with Goku and Vegeta. She understood Frieza's anger because she was quite perturbed and angry too that they were the ones involved in her and Frieza's mysterious teleportation between realities. While at the same time was relieved that they did it. Especially, when they saved her from getting killed in that car crash.

Goku felt sorry for Eve for getting involved in such a mess. They may have said her from a grisly fate. But at the same time, it really gave them no right to use her as pawn in what could've been considered a deadly game. Even the Destroyer and his Attendant couldn't completely guarantee the tyrant wouldn't have ended up killing her. Hell, he almost did right before they transported them both back to her reality.

She recalls her terrifying ordeal while trapped on his ship, trying to escape, and then him catching her and trying to kill her. But after all they been through for all those months he's been living under her roof; Eve knows things changed and he was different now. They started to care for one another, and he went from being a monster to someone who saved her life.

"The important thing is it's all over now and you are all safe." Whis added.

He then turned his violet gaze to Eve and gave her a sympathetic look.

"I'm also sorry to inform that you cannot go back home at this time, Eve. With all your involvement, it may not be safe for you to return. The people back at that base may attempt to look for you to get answers. Because of this, I think it be best you remain here for the time being. It's not forever, but just a precaution and for your own safety." Whis explained.

Eve was quite disheartened to hear this. After all, she did have a life, job, and family back home. It was bad enough when she first arrived here and missed so much. Only come to find out that she didn't miss anything at all back home because she was sent back to the same night she was almost involved in that accident. When she inquired about the odd time lapse to Whis, he admitted they did send her back in time there. It was so not to arouse suspicion or trouble among everyone she knew and that she still had a home to go back to.

Both he and Lord Beerus knew it wasn't the best decision on their part. Considering they were always telling others never to mess with time travel. But they felt this was one time it was completely relevant and necessary to do so. They have been around for millennia and knew of the dangerous threats that linger in the Multiverse. Ones that will require the saiyans and Frieza to work together.

They needed the Galactic Emperor on their side. And they felt this was the only way to establish that. They looked for that small trace of humanity within Frieza and enlisted Eve to bring it back up to the surface. They figured once she got him to me more reasonable and compliant that he'd be more willing to possibly accepting an alliance with Goku and Vegeta, and possibly take up training with them. Preferably under Whis as well. Since he and Lord Beerus knew he had great potential just like the saiyans.

Eve's train of thought was broken when she felt a hand gently squeeze her forearm. She looked over to see Frieza, who gave her a reassuring smile. To Goku and Vegeta, it was an odd sight. Mainly because they thought their former nemesis would never be capable of caring for someone other than himself. They never would've believed it had they not seen it for themselves, when he threw himself in front of her and took a bullet for her.

Bulma certainly found their interaction very strange, and it made her concerned for her friend. After the hell Frieza put them all through, she didn't trust the tyrant one bit. She turned her gaze back to Lord Beerus and Whis.

"What was this really all about though? And what do you mean it was a challenge for him?" Bulma says, while gesturing to Frieza.

"Before we start this long and tedious story, you mind grabbing us some food first?" Lord Beerus inquires.

She rolls her eyes, "Alright fine. But it better be a good one. I'll be back shortly."

With that she turned on her heel and went back inside. While Trunks remained outside with the others. The youngster was still part intrigued part confused about what he heard so far and also wanted to hear more. Especially about this alternate reality.

"So, wait you guys really went to this other reality? That sounds so awesome! You got to tell me more!" He said, in excitement.

Goku smiled at the child's exuberance.

"Sure! Let's move it to one of the tables though while we wait for you mom to come out with the food." Goku replied.

They all headed for the table, except for Frieza and Eve. They stayed put by the railing. She turned to face him and noticed he was looking at the ground with a troubled look on his face. She understood how he felt. After all, they were both put through quite an ordeal back there.

"I know it's a lot to take in. It was hard for me to process when they first told me when they came to me right after you left. Which I'm still very pissed about by the way." Eve said.

And she truly was pissed. After everything that happened between them, he left without even saying goodbye. Frieza could see the traces of anger and sadness in her eyes.

He sighs, "I know your upset. But I felt it was what I had to do at the time to keep you safe."

"There were other ways you could've gone about it, instead you thought it best to do that." She quipped.

"Like what? It's not like there were many options or choices. It was better that way." Frieza replied.

Of course, that last remark was definitely the wrong thing to say. Fire brimmed in those stormy blue eyes when he said that.

"Better? You just left me a fucking note, Frieza! No clear plan, no goodbye, just a note! After all those months under my roof that is how you wanted shit to end!? How can you be such a dick!?" She yelled at him, the whole time throwing her fists into his chest in anger.

He was a bit surprised at first by her attack. And when she didn't stop hitting him, he grasped her wrists to stop her. That's when he saw the tears threatening to spill from her eyes. And he gently pulled her in and wrapped his arms around her. Eve shook in his embrace as she silently cried into his shoulder.

"I almost lost you." She whispered into his neck as she laid her head against his shoulder.

Frieza squeezed her a little tighter.

"It's alright now. Like Whis said, we made it, we're safe now." He assured her.

"But what happens next?" She hesitantly asks.

He runs a hand through her long brown locks. To be honest, he wasn't too sure. They were so focused on trying to find a way back here that they didn't think about what would happen when they made it back. And even then, they didn't think they'd both be coming back. Frieza believed for the longest time that he'd most likely be the one to return. After all, this was his reality, and he belonged here. Eve; however, didn't. She was born and grew up in a reality the complete opposite of this one. She had a job, a home, and a family there.

Yet, in this unexpected twist, they were both brought back here. Albeit it was to save their lives from the military base. But still, he wouldn't have suspected it would've been the case for all the months he was stuck there. Upon coming back though, he remembered there was still some things he had to do. The most important thing quickly came to mind.

"I have to go back to my ship. The dragon balls my men collected are most likely still there. And I need to go so that I can return them to Earth." He told her.

It was imperative he bring them back. Because he was aware of how important they were to this world. And he can't just hang around here while they are still floating around in space. He also needed to go back and give his subordinates an explanation on what had happened to him and where he'd been for the better part of half the year. There were also many affairs to be settled when he got back.

"For how long?" Eve asks.

He was silent for a moment, before speaking.

"I don't know." Frieza said, barely above a whisper.

She squeezed her arms tighter around his waist. This was the answer she dreaded hearing. It was bad enough that she had to remain here for who knows how long and that she didn't even get a chance to say goodbye to her family and friends. But now, she also had to say goodbye to the one person who found a special place in her heart.

"But I promise that I'll return." He added.

Relief overcame her at hearing this. At the same time, it hurt not knowing when his return will be.

"When do you have to leave?" She asks.

"Soon, Whis and Lord Beerus will have to transport me to one of my bases and from there, I will contact my Main Ship." Frieza informed her.

They stayed there a little longer until Goku called them over to join them at the table. The pair eventually made their way over and took a seat with the rest of the group. Several minutes later, Bulma came out with a couple platters of food, and set them on the table. She told everyone to dig in and that she will be back with the other trays shortly.

Frieza and Eve tried not to ponder on his eventual departure. For now, they just sat themselves down to the nice breakfast that was being laid out before them. It was a tough position for both of them, but Eve understood why he was doing it. Earth needed the rest of its dragon balls back and he was the only one who could bring them back. He also needed to explain for his long absence and see what has become of his force and Empire during the time he was gone. Something that couldn't simply be done with in a day. And better to do it sooner than later.

Until Next Time ;)
