The next chapter is up! Enjoy :)

As long as he's been alive, Frieza can't recall a time he was ever so happy. Here he thought he would come back to Earth and start a new life with Eve. Only to receive the surprise of his life when he came here to find her pregnant. Something that was quite brief once he arrived because he came just in time to be there for their daughter's birth.

Originally, he hated kids, and wanted nothing to do with them. He slaughtered countless millions of them when he wiped out planets. But when Frieza first saw and held Leah, that all changed within an instant. He fell in love at first sight. He almost couldn't believe at first that he was now a father and that she was his. But the proof laide in his arms.

It has been nearly three weeks since her birth and since he came back to Earth. Frieza learned of a lot of things on the way too from Eve. She told him that they have their own place and for the last several months, she worked at the nearby Oceanic Institute. Bulma apparently has a lot of connections with others, and it wasn't all that difficult for her to pull some strings and get Eve in.

They were all impressed by her vast knowledge and experience with local marine life. And it just so happens that they were in need of an underwater photographer. Eve was able to do underwater photography for only a couple months though. Because once she discovered she was pregnant, she stopped since scuba diving isn't safe nor healthy for a developing baby.

Though despite it being unexpected, the people she worked with were very understanding. So, for the last several months she worked on the boat. She would help divers get ready, check the equipment, and watch the fish finder. Eve also helped gather some samples from animals they brought to the surface and helped out with installing tags.

It may have been not what she originally planned to do with this new job. But it was a nice change of pace, and she knew it was only temporary. The doctors told her she can start diving again in another month or two after the birth. Within that time, Eve planned on staying home with baby Leah.

At the moment the small family of three was sitting out back behind the house on a comfortable three-seater swing. Frieza had their infant daughter in one arm and had his other arm wrapped around Eve's shoulders as she sat next to him. It was nice and peaceful out there and they were enjoying the warm fresh air and sunshine.

I find it rather funny that you're such a natural at this. Especially since I could never picture you being any good around kids in the past. Though it was pretty comical watching you learn it all up front once we left the hospital with her." Eve teased.

Frieza just rolled his eyes at the remarks, but still smiled, nonetheless. He understood fully what she meant because he would've never found himself quite good with this either. Fatherhood was the last thing the former tyrant thought would come rather quickly to him. But then he wasn't alone. It was just as new of an experience for Eve as it was for him.

"And yet out of the two of us, you were the one who was clumsier with diaper changing. Not to mention you put the first couple on backwards." Frieza joked.

"Shall I bring up your first couple disastrous tries with making up bottles of formula? Thought I'd piss myself when you opened up the lid and a few vapors that wafted from the cannister made you sneeze. The force of your sneeze made some of the formula powder cloud up and it got all over your face." Eve said, with laughter in her voice.

It was hilarious, a good portion of his face was covered in powdered formula and his eyes were as wide as saucers as he stood there frozen like a statue. It was a kodak moment, that was for sure. Just too bad her phone was charging in the other room at the time. Otherwise, she definitely would've gotten a few pics of that moment.

"It could happen to anyone." He mumbled while looking away from her grinning face.

Eve chuckles, "I still regret not catching it on camera. I would've printed out a solid copy and framed it too. Put it right up on the wall in the living room for everyone to see."

Unfortunately, Frieza believed she'd do it too. He wouldn't put anything past Eve. Especially, since he knows she has a flare for humor and practical jokes. He was the brunt of a few of them when they were stuck in her reality and under her roof. A couple of the first ones she did have him planning the most painful ways he could torture her before he killed her. Seeing as some of these jokes happened very early on during his stay with her and at the time, he still strongly disliked her.

"And you know I would've done equally embarrassing things to you as pay back. I would've loved capturing the time Leah spit up on you on camera that one time. Never seen so much come out of someone so little and she got you good." Frieza smirked.

"Ok, so I'm still a little lousy at burping her. At least your quite good at it. We both known for a while now that we both have our pros and cons when it comes to child rearing. Still, we came a hell of a long way since bringing her home from the hospital. It's like what Bulma, ChiChi, and Videl said; it's a never-ending learning experience.

They've been moms for a while now and apparently still learning something new every day. And I have no doubt that this little peanut will keep us on our toes. Both now and in the future. Yet, it's one of the things I'm actually looking forward to as a parent." Eve stated.

Her gaze rested on Leah. Who was currently fast asleep in her father's arms. She had just fallen asleep not seven minutes ago after Eve fed her. Guess Bulma and Videl weren't lying when they told her that babies sleep a lot at this age. They also told her to enjoy it while it last. Because once she starts walking it will be like a whirlwind and they will be chasing her all over and making sure she doesn't get into things she shouldn't be in.

"I concur, I feel it will be an unending learning experience filled with many blunders. Though I'd be lying if I didn't say I'm looking forward to it as well. Leah maybe a very laid-back child now. But who knows if that will still be the case once she starts walking and talking." Frieza replies.

"Well, she is a combination of us. And from what we know of each other, we were both little hellions at some point in our childhoods. So, that should give us a huge hint." Eve teases.

Frieza groans, "Gods I hope not. I've broken and ruined enough rooms in the palace during my childhood to last me a lifetime. If my parents had hair it would've been fully white by the time I reached five years of age."

Eve quietly laughed so not to wake Leah. She knew what Frieza meant. To this day, he still hasn't run out of hilarious stories from his youth to tell her. It was also nice knowing that at least one of them had a somewhat better childhood. It may have not been perfect. But at least Frieza had parents and a home in his earliest years. While Eve got the short end of the stick by not having any parents around to care for her and eventually finding herself without a home and on the streets fighting for her life.

Luckily, that nightmare came to an end when Drew and his parents found her and took her in as one of their own. The thought made her heart ache. While she has been happy here and enjoying her new outlook on life with Frieza and their daughter, she still very much misses the surrogate family she had back home in her reality.

Frieza knew she missed them too. There were a couple times he caught her crying out of the corner of his eye. And when he asked her what was wrong, she admitted to him that she missed her brother and parents. He'd hold her and reassure her that Whis told them from the start that it wouldn't always be like this. That she would see them again one day. It just crushed her that she didn't know when that might be.

Eve really wanted to introduce Leah to Drew and their parents. She knows they may be shocked at first but likes to think they will fall head over heels for Leah once they see her. Her only concern was what they may think of Frieza. They most likely will freak out at first upon seeing him.

She tries not to harp on the what ifs as of late though, because at the moment her main focus was raising and taking care of Leah with Frieza. There were also other matters at hand to discuss. Like future daily schedules. Eve may be able to take plenty of time off work, especially now when they told her it's quite slow at the moment.

But she knew it will start getting busy again and when that happens, she will have to gradually get back to work. They've been quite busy taking care of Leah lately that she forgot to bring up the topic with him. Seeing as they were relaxing now, she may as well bring it up.

"There is actually something I do want to talk with you about." Eve said.

"Yes? What is it?" He asks.

"I know we still have a lot of time before we get there. But this is also something we need to plan out ahead of time so we're not grasping at straws. And it involves daily schedules. As you know, Bulma helped me secure a job at the South City Oceanic Institute. And I'm taking these next few months off to care for Leah. But eventually, I will have to go back to work.

Can't exactly live off of some of the starting money Bulma was nice enough to put away for us when I back here nearly a year ago. As you know, I'll eventually need the income from that job. I have saved up quite a bit from the last several months I worked there before going on maternity leave three weeks before I had Leah." She explained.

He arched an eye ridge.

"I understand you have a good position with this new job. But why are you concerned about it?" Frieza asked.

"Because I'm still unsure what you if you have plans or not in the near future. I'm well aware that Goku has asked you on a couple occasions to come train with him when you're ready. And I understand that is something you definitely will want to take up eventually. But we really need to discuss how we can work everything around taking care of Leah." Eve admitted.

A small smile makes its way to Frieza face.

"Trust me when I say training with those monkeys is definitely not the first thing on my agenda and won't be for a while. The most important thing right now is taking care of my family. And I have no problem caring for Leah during the day while you work." He said.

Her eyes widened a little at his statement.

"No, I can't just put all that responsibility on you like that. It's bad enough that you take up night duty each night with her. Now you want to watch her for six and a half hours a day five days a week?" Eve says, completely stunned.

His smile widens, "It's no trouble at all, Eve. We'll be fine. I'm quite aware of how economy works here. I've seen enough of it while I was out of commission in your reality and living under your roof then. I know everyone must do their part in order to maintain financial stability in their lives and for their families. And besides, it's not like it's a huge problem or a burden. I love each moment I spend with our daughter.

And I know as she grows older the schedules will gradually change. When I do go back to training it won't be for long periods of time and I can do it for a couple hours after you come home from work. And even then, it may not be every day. I also recall overhearing you and the other ladies discussing preschool. Gohan's wife was addressing it with you and Vegeta's wife because she was trying to figure out which preschool was well suited to send her daughter to.

I know it's something we would eventually like to do with Leah when she's old enough. I know I certainly like the idea of starting her schooling as soon as she's old enough. They mentioned they send them as early as three years of age, correct?" He inquires.

Eve smiles, "Yeah, and South City has many preschool classes in their public-school districts. Which is great because public is free. We wouldn't have to worry about affording private daycare or preschool."

"Then it's settled. We can try out this schedule and see how it goes. Though I know it will go fine because as I stated earlier, I have no issues with watching and caring for our child during the day on my own. If anything, I should cherish these first two and a half years I get to take care of her before she starts going to this 'preschool' they mentioned of. Something tells me these first few years will go fairly fast." Frieza replied.

She's silent for a few moments as she leans more into his side and rests her head against his shoulder.

"Look at us, planning out schedules, and raising a kid. If you look back almost two years, I'm sure neither of us then could've ever imagined this is where we would be." Eve confessed.

It is true, looking back; Frieza never would've thought in a million years that this is where life would take him. It's quite a reflection to all the past events that led up to this point. Though he will admit, he tries not to reflect too much to when they first met. Mainly because there was still a lot of underlying guilt because he tried to kill her and nearly succeeded had Lord Beerus and Whis not intervened and sent them to her reality last minute before he could deliver that fatal blow back on his ship in his quarters.

"In a way, there are times I try not to think about it." He said, aloud.

Eve turns her attention to his face with a questioning look.

"Why?" She asks.

He gave her a brief bittersweet smile.

"Because aboard my ship, I was very close to killing you right before we were transported to your reality. And even after we found ourselves there, at the beginning I still thought about killing you after my injuries healed. I guess in a way, I blamed you for us ending up there and for all my shortcomings that came after.

It took me a long time to come to terms with my new and unexpected vulnerabilities. And my heavy reluctance for your aide. Learning to tolerate that and living with you was a lengthy and challenging process. This much I admit. But I think what perturbed me most were the strange and unknown feelings that were steadily building up within me. I had to keep convincing myself that I didn't care about you. Until I couldn't anymore." Frieza confessed.

She was silent for a few moments, taking in what he was saying.

"And now?" Eve asks.

Frieza shifts his gaze to her.

"If given the choice; I still wouldn't dream of changing this outcome." He replied.

Her smile was back in place, and he returned the smile. It was then he felt movement in his arm and Eve caught the movement as well. Both of them shifted their attention to Leah. Who was now wide awake and staring at them. A couple moments later, a tiny smile blossomed on the infant's face at the sight of her parents. And she began to softly coo at them.

"Guess someone had a nice nap." Eve said, as she gazed her daughter.

At that moment, Leah let out a cute little sneeze, and she looked around bewildered when it made her body slightly jump. The new parents found the scene cute and amusing. Their baby girl always seemed a little baffled when her body did something sudden, whether it be a sneeze, a fart, or even a hiccup. And both Frieza and Eve found it funny each time.

"No doubt, everything we have is right here. We will be just fine." Frieza said.

Eve lifted her arm from around his waist and lightly caressed Leah's little cheek. She knew he was right. They've come this far without any problems and will continue to do their very best as a family.

Hope everyone enjoyed the cute family fluff here. Until Next Time ;)
