A light rain fell from the sky as I dragged a few boxes from the barn into the cabin where there was light. The smell calmed me as light rain on dry dirt and grass is one of the best and there was no end to that. These three boxes had my mothers name on them and I decided to go through them first.

Digging through most was crap she left behind. There was some decent things to keep. A small stuffed animal, a blue ribbon for second best produce, whatever that was. I also opened a small high school year book.

I guess the high school she went to gathered people from all the surrounding small towns. I did recognize Robin and Pierre, they were not in the same class or year but they did go together. I came across my mom that I almost missed. She had outdated curly brown hair, glasses braces and a silly smile, she does not look like that now, the women has changed since then.

I wished she was here so I could make fun of her old haircut and her old outfit.

I know I can not take much home and I thought of throwing out most while having a yard sale on what is worth selling.

Most was old clothes, outdated but there was some decent vintage I decided to see if they fit before making a pile to wash. Many shoes without a match or were so old and ugly. I found some cute sandals and brown and black boots that were almost new, glad we have the same shoe size.

Having clothes to wear in the dirt will be great.

I spent the next few day's clearing out the barn, I was gathering many bags of garbage piling it behind my home. I hit the bar up every night.

I did not really talk to anyone.

Well no one talked to me.

That sad man was there every night doing the same thing in the same spot. I would find my eye's on him a lot but he never noticed me or even looked up. A part of my heart started to reach out this strange man with the almost purple hair that I never actually met.

Does he dye it? He does not look like he cares.

I came to a large tarp, It was so lodged I literally fell backwards pulling it with all my weight when it dislodged and I fell down. Pulling out my phone's flashlight I noticed what it was covering.

A motorcycle.

I started to clear a way to it.

It took a bit before I got it outside into the light. It was an old dusty mess but it looked complete, I don't know bikes but I just looked at it with love. I grabbed a rag and wiped it down, the paint job was a dark green that sparkled in the sun, it was so nice so I tried to find the key for it on the chain.

I sat on it, the feel of this powerful thing between my legs felt nice but I have never driven one before, I was on one only two times in my life on the back and it was okay but scary and short. I tried a few key's before one slid in with ease, sadly it would not turn on, did not even make any noise.

"Man."

I slowly moved it near the truck, this I am taking home broken or not. I pulled the large tarp from the barn trying not to trip on it and recovered it, I smile feeling like I did a lot today I headed into town.

I was sweaty, dirty and just a mess as I drank my one alcoholic drink for the day and chowed down on strangely bad eggs and bacon. I started to order random cocktails Gus never makes and was moving down his list in both.

I heard a door and shuffle I did not pay attention to. "Gus!" I heard a raspy male voice yell. "I am putting this up." I turned and saw the blonde hanging up some kind of poster, he glanced at me before he finished and looked back.

He stared at me for a second before he walked over, the cutest smile crossing his face. "Hey." I gave him a nod. "Do you drum?" I shook my head no. "We are looking for a drummer so that is to bad." He leaned on the bar. "What is your name?"

"Cy." That was the rare person to actually ask me.

"I'm Sam. Good to meet you." He looked at my drink like I was drinking the wrong thing and he wanted to say something about it but held back. "See you later city girl." He walked off with a back wave but I was slightly happy someone spoke to me.

I finished my food and looked around the almost empty bar, Gus was putting away dishes and I really felt like socializing for once. I looked over at Pam and she saw me, with a drunkin smile she stumbled over. I guess I finally looked approachable.

"If I owned that land." She leaned on the bar. "I would build a large home and a bunker and my own bar." Making Gus give her a look and she waved him off with a smile. "You have something there my girl." I was about to speak. "And your hair." She grabbed it and pulled me closer. "Is this real?"

I smiled as she let go. "No, its gray." I joked.

"Ah you could just be graying early, you never know." She patted hers. "Under this blonde is a mix of white and gray." She flung her head making it move. "Is it not the nicest cut?" I smiled. She moved on quickly. "I remember you, your mom was just a cutie." She looked sad. "Sweetest." She gave me a look before she wondered into the back where the bathrooms were.

I walked to the wooden door as it opened on me almost smacking me in the face, the sad man barely looked my way but he did finally looked at me as he walked passed.

Ya, no need to say sorry.

I just left.

I was driving into town, some hip hop blaring through the fuzzy speakers I came to a stop behind a large white truck, startled as it stood in the middle of a road. I could see the side of a car in front of it and a mans arm hanging from the trucks window. I did not care as this is normal in the city.

I turned up the song and started to drum my wheel as I waited.

I heard the truck in front beep their horn but I can't see, unsure what was going on.

I switched to a classic rock song and turned it louder just singing along, Just dancing in my seat so into it. Halfway through the song I then saw a small car move around something then the truck started to move slightly moving on the other side of the road and I came to the obstruction making me turn down the music and peek out the passenger window.

"Lewis?" I called out he looked annoyed.

"Sorry I finally got this beast off the road, blocking the path for far to long."

"It is fine, are you okay, need help?"

"That is these old trucks, you will see." He gave a small smile making me smile back. "Someone is coming, it just stalled and it took my old body to long to move but I am fine now."

"You sure you don't want a ride?" I spoke up making him nod at me with kindness and I started to drive around his truck and headed to town turning my music back up.

I am sad I did not know it was him or I would have helped. I pulled into the in town parking spot pulling up next to the white truck, music still blaring as Shane had gotten out and walked passed my truck. He glanced at me for only a second as I watched him not ready to turn off the music and I saw him head to the bar, where I was going.

I loved this small parking lot, it holds maybe five cars hidden behind tree's to make the town look cute. Once the song ended I turned the truck off and headed to the bar. I was startled that this place was packed, my normal seat was taken, the open ones were around the corner from Shane so I grabbed one of them.

A few people said hello but I still sat alone, Shane was in my eye line and again he never looked up. He always looks so sad and angry and even if I have 'stay away' on my forehead he has 'fuck off' Gus made me a new drink he learned for me and got me a pizza as I did what I always do every night so far.

I looked over at who I now call the Trio, they were all really cute. Sam has this smile that makes you melt and you can't hate a man in black but that short purple girl was so cute. They looked like a fun group. To my left was the rest of the town, the place was packed today, I wondered why.

"Just Friday's." Emily spoke as she handed me my pizza making me nod at her, I guess I was readable.

"So many people." She laughed in agreement and walked off being busy, it is packed like a bar in the city and they all looked friendly. I finished my food and wondered out into the warm night. I wrapped my sweater around my waist and headed to the store.

The door was locked as I pulled making me sigh, I should have come here first I needed a few things. Stores don't close in the city. I pulled out my key's and dropped them when I noticed a board next to me in front of the store. A couple small pages of help wanted, one was about some corn and then I read one. "I want a potato to throw on side of a mountain." I chuckled. "Sabastian." What is that, must be a joke.

Next to it there was a small calendar with pictures of people and flags on it.

"That is a smart idea from me, it is the birthday's of the towns people." I looked behind me at Lewis glad he was back here now and not stuck on the road. "The flags are festivals." I nodded looking back.

Looking closer I saw Shane's birthday was tomorrow. "What is this flag?"

"The flower dance, in the forest, bring a date." He winked at me. "When is your birthday?"

I almost did not want to say. "The fourteenth of summer." He nodded looking ready to add my picture.

With nothing to do I headed to the beach, the walk was short. I was alone as I stared at the semi cloudy sky making me notice the stars out here were just amazing. I took off my boots and slid my feet into the soft sand feeling lonely but at peace.
