Heading to the flower festival. I parked near many cars a little passed Marnies. I was glad to see Lewis was not far, he saw me and stopped walking with a small smile. I quickly got out and walked to him, thankful he waited. It was a bit of a walk and when we passed over this thin shaky wooden bridge I almost wanted to grab onto him.

Without him, I never would have known where this was. The area filled with flowers and flags, a large table of food and mostly the whole town was already here. The area was snuggled into a perfect place in the mountain side but opened to the ocean so high it was crazy.

There was a large wooden border far from the edge to keep people away but I could see the never ending water here with ease.

I wondered over to the food where Shane stood alone. Hearing him moan I peered at him and watched him spread some red something on a cracker, eating it again he seemed to love it. I grabbed a cup cake curious, I will try it when he leaves.

He picked a different dip, his face contorted and he started to wave at his mouth like the food was spicy. "I take it I wont try one." I laughed at him as I moved closer but all he did was look at me like he hated the fact I was here and just walked away. With a frown I added some of the red jelly to a plate.

"I just love flowers." I heard Sam's voice as he reached around me and grabbed a cupcake. "I admit it." And he walked off towards his friends one hand behind his head as he ate it making me laugh to myself when he looked back at me with that smile and turned away.

Looking at the whole town together was nice as I grabbed a paper plate and filled it up.

Unsure what to do I just ate standing looking around. Everyone had there own little group, I saw a couple people walk up to people before walking back. Some smiled, some frowned. It took a bit when many townspeople stepped into the middle of the field.

Women on one side men on the other.

I watched as they all did a choreographed dance, it was cute and pretty and I was curious where a person is to learn this dance.

Then they split up back into groups, A few people would dance around to the light band playing music. After an hour I had tried all the food and was just done so I grabbed some food to take and headed back to my truck just wanting to go home.

Walking into the busy saloon I slid up to the bar. "What is it today Gus?"

"Sangria." He spoke with joy as he moved to make it.

"You make a new drink every time I see you in here." Emily spoke from behind the bar. "Why?"

I shrugged. "I just want to try them." I smiled.

"I like that." She spoke as she looked up. "There is something admirable about trying something new."

"I am starting to get that myself." I grinned. I saw Shane look up for a second in the side of my eye but when I looked at him he was staring at his beer. Sam was suddenly leaning on the bar blocking my sight with his arms crossed, I looked up as his cute face staring down on me with that smile, I could not help but smile back.

"Look who is here." I just smiled up at him as I was handed my drink. He nodded at his friends. "Come play pool with us." I peered at them and with a nod got up to follow him, nervous but I did not have to be as the two of them greeted me making me feel welcome.

"So how is the farm doing?" Abigail stood beside me as we watched that black haired guy kick Sam's ass at pool. "I always enjoyed exploring those overgrown fields by myself." She spoke as she looked at me in the eyes so serious. "What a shame."

"Ah its still pretty overgrown." I said awkwardly.

"City girl?" Sabastian asked, his voice was pretty monotone but nice I nodded as I took a sip. "How is it?" He asked.

"I do love it but it is something else here." I spoke not wanting to diminish their town.

I think he listened as he hit a ball but did not speak again. Sam was however loud ball of energy. "You know... I used to live in a city and I have to admit, this place is much nicer in the summer." Before he moved to shoot.

"I know all Sabastian talks about is going to live in Zuzu city all the time." There was something a little dark about the way she said that.

"What else do you guy's do here?" I asked.

She glanced at Sabastian. "Just games." Before she looked at me. "Do you play games?" She pointed behind us at the arcade games.

"I tried that one." I pointed to the farthest. "And I sucked at it."

"I am amazing." She popped in a quarter and started before looking at me like I needed to watch her so I walked up behind her and watched the boring game where you just hit incoming objects when something hard hit me in the head.

Looking behind me they both stared at me shocked and worried as I grabbed my head and I saw the black ball roll away. "Oh, shit." Sam spoke. "Sorry that was entirely my fault."

I just smiled at him, it was not that bad I picked it up and tossed it lightly on the table. "I think that means you lose." Sam's smile was just adorable.

They reset the table as I finished my drink shaking it in my hand. "I never drink things like that." Sam spoke like it was uncool. "Do you have a favorite?"

I smiled. "Ya, and it is fun to order but I have not here just yet." He just stared at me in wait making me smirk. "It is called a pornstar."

His smile turned a little coy before he just walked away with his hands behind his head making Sabastian sigh as it was Sam's turn before he handed me a cue, I placed my empty drink down. I saw a perfect full ball and knocked it in the hole and moved to find a second. I aimed slowly and got that one in but the white ball sadly went in also. "Damn."

I backed up letting him get in when Sam was next to us. "That really was fun to ask for." He had two of them. "Emily looked terrified and he had to look up how to make one." He gave me one.

"I needed to try such a name." He sipped and his face scrunched. "It is both sweet and sour but not bad." Abigail walked over and took a drink, she basically stole the drink and loved it.

"Got any other favorite drinks that are fun to ask for?" He asked me. "City girl"

I smiled. "There is this shot me and my mom do every new years." The two were interested as Sabastian made a noise saying it was my turn as I looked around the table. "It is called a buttery nipple." As I found one and moved to it. "She loves it."

Abigail made a disgusted noise as Sam ran off again making me laugh as I shot but missed the pocket.

A few minutes later he came back with four shots. "Again he had to look it up, he does not know this stuff off his head easy." He handed us all one. "One, two, three!" We all took the shot, I smiled as it brings me back to my mom.

"Urg." She spoke. "No."

"I liked it, it's kind of.. it's kind of like..." Sam rambled Sabastian just made a noise and put the drink down on the nearby table and moved to shoot again, he was on a roll and was winning.

"Get her ours." Abigail spoke. "Show us what we drink in the country, city girl." She spoke with a slight inflection. "We are Beer and whisky." She looked at me proudly and I just smiled, I have had plenty of that but I did not voice that.

To much beer makes me sleepy and cocktails keep me up and happy. However I had not drank hard stuff in about a year and the thought of having some scared me.

"I don't know one more shot might not be good." That was two drinks and shot, I may be feeling it soon.

"There is no cops around here, don't worry you wont get a ticket."

"That was not what I was worried about." I spoke quietly as I watched Sabastian get the eight ball in. "Guess I lost." I was starting to get the warm feeling inside me as he came back with four more shots.

She watched me as I downed it, the old burning feeling I had not felt in ages, she almost looked sad like she was introducing me to it and I felt bad. "Damn that burns all the way down." I said, it really did but it also made her smile.

She made us take one more shot before I said I said I was done with drinking but I was now drunk and drunk me needs to drink more so I ordered another drink after drink.

I liked these guy's, we kind of connected as people, like they were my kind of people.

She was weird and loud but kind and fun, Sam was just amazing, kind of dumb but the kind that just makes you laugh and Sabastian was quiet and seemed bored all the time but I liked that.

They left around midnight and my drunk ass was sad they live nearby other then Sabastian and he was staying at Sam's, I stumbled to the bar, to drunk to drive and took the closest seat on the corner near Shane.

"Gus!" I yelled as I hit the bar he looked my way. "Do you still make food?" I slurred and he nodded. "Pizza please!" He then headed into the back, the place emptied out and Pam was asleep on the far end of the bar making me look over at Shane, I did not know he stays here so late as I never have.

I was just staring at him and I think he noticed this time. "You are always the same, sitting like that." I frowned as I meant to think that not say it making him finally look at me, his blue eye's bloodshot, I could see he was so drunk.

"How many times do I have to tell you to leave me alone?" He spoke with a glare.

But it just made me smile for some reason as I leaned on my arm. "That beard actually looks good on you." I leaned on my hand. "You got this dirty boy look that is actually kind of attractive." I just watched him, unsure how he took that he just stared back at his beer making me sigh as I looked at the back door towards the kitchen and bathroom.

"If this was not such a small town, I would so try and pick you up." I was so wasted and with a need to use the bathroom I stood up. "Add that to the fuck it list." I joked but he did not understand and did not care as he ignored me.

I stumbled to it, I was to drunk I could fall over, I looked in mirror at my mess of hair and tried to fix it when I sighed and looked at me sadly. My behavior was wrong as I leaned on the counter swaying slightly annoyed at myself.

Just watch your actions, come on!

Sitting back where I was my pizza sat waiting. "Sorry." I said to him, he was still here. "This is why I don't get drunk." I mumbled. "I can be a little to forward and a little to open." The pizza was the best it has ever been as I downed it like a crazy person.

"You eat like a cow." He spoke as Gus was trying to wake Pam.

I laughed and nodded. "It is so good tonight, small but I can share." as I slid the plate towards him . "Here eat some, soak up that alcohol."

"I need all my alcohol." He spoke as he looked up at Gus but it made me laugh.

I pushed it a little more but he did not go for it so I pulled it back. "Alright." It was not long until it was gone, it was quiet as Gus cleared my plate and took it away, it was just us. This guy seemed more attractive to me tonight through my blurry eye's but he sometimes became two people. "So I had a plan to go skinny dipping at the beach one day, and why not today?" He actually looked at me. "You want to come?"

He stared at me and I think he was swaying too or was that just me? "Are you joking?" I just shrugged he looked back at his drink. "You must be very drunk." He turned back and drank more looking away.

"Alright." I stood up and I think I just might do that as I stumbled to the door using a chair to hold me for a second.

"Elliot and Willy live on the beach."

I looked back as I got my balance. "Shit people live there?" He did not speak. "Thanks' for the warning." I tapped my chin. "I guess that is not... I should.. I should just go home."

I stumbled into the chair I forgot about and made my way to the door.

I almost fell backwards while opening it when he was next to me making me fall into the wall, his hand slid into my pocket as our eye's locked, a feeling of lust moved through me but he smelled like beer and sweat.

I doubt I smell good myself.

He pulled out my key's and walked back to the bar confusing me, I watched him grab his Beer and down it.

"Well I kind of need those or else I will be sleeping on the deep dark forest road my friend."

Slamming the cup down. "I can drive drunk, I doubt you can." He stumbled slightly before he passed me out the door.

"Are you sure about that, you almost hit me?"

"Maybe I meant to."

"Aw words to a girls heart."

"I don't care about your heart."

"Man you are so mean." I paused. "I kind of dig it." I chuckled, I saw his head shake as we made it to his truck. "What am I going to do if you drop me off, Maybe I should just sleep in my truck."

He paused and looked at me, he looked almost ready to drop. "If you want to."

We stood in silence.

"Nevermind let's go." I said hopping in he turned it on and sped away.

This was a newish truck. "This is better then mine." I slurred as I poked a seat warmer on then off.

"Yours is a classic." He said I just watched the world move making me feel sick so I closed my eye's and leaned on the window, so he knows my truck?

"Ya, it can be cool but this is nice."

I noticed we parked into his place not mine. "Are you picking me up?" I asked curious.

"No." He turned off the truck. "You can sleep on the couch again and when I go to work I will drop you off." That was the longest sentence he ever said to me, I just stared at him as he got out and I followed, we tried to be quiet as we walked inside and I headed straight for the couch.

I sat up as the roosters were loud and I rubbed my head before looking around. I shoved my hands into my head remembering last night with a moan and a need to use a bathroom.

"Fuck!"

I hate me drunk, I am a slut, leaning back I was glad I only hit on one man and not the other two and shit I was so glad Shane turned me down even if that was strange as I threw my drunk ass at him and most men catch it.

I was probably not that attractive to him but it strangely made me trust this weird guy a little for not doing that.

I heard a noise so I slid on my boots, peeking out there was no one in the kitchen but I heard a flush as I stepped back into the room, I wonder if Marnie minds if I am here? Out walked Shane making me smile and I moved towards him.

"Morning." I spoke silently as he pulled out some bread, his blue outfit on and put it in the toaster. "Your a creature of habit huh?" I asked but again he did not speak. "Got a bathroom?" He pointed down the way he came from so I moved quietly.

Passing his room and could not help but peek in.

He had the basics, a bed, a t.v and other's but nothing personal, I continued to the bathroom, there was something so sad about that as I think I was told he has been here for around a year.

We sat in silence as he drove, I did not want to bother him and I was slightly embarrassed at myself but at the same time it could have been worse.

He dropped me off near town. "Thanks." I spoke as he drove off and made my way to my truck.
