"Ya okay." I was sad. "You can, I have no computer or wifi out here."
"You should come home then." My mother spoke.
"I just, it is like a vacation." I put down my watering can and sat on the steps. "It is just a nice change but ya, it is time to put this place up." I looked around with a small smile at what I have accomplished even if I did not want to leave yet.
I have done enough to fix it up, it is ready.
We chatted about what to write in the add online since I was the one over here. "I will take some pictures." I said sadly.
"Alright I will wait to post it."
I leaned on my kitchen counter. "Hey." I said. "What do you think about keeping this and renting it out to people?"
She was quiet.
"Have like a small vacation home and when not here just rent it out." I was weirdly nervous, this is my place but for some reason I need her permission, I need to ask her opinion.
"Hmm." I waited. "Problem with that is you will need to be around, you can't just be here and let people run free, where are you going stay, there is many holes in that plan."
"Ya, your right." I said sadly.
We chatted for a few more minutes before I hung up, just looked around sadly. Sighing I stood up and moved to take pictures of every part inside here with my phone, good angles for parts of the rooms.
Walking outside, I got a nice shot of the small pond and forest, A picture of my truck and silo, A good one of the barn. I looked at the remains of the broken greenhouse, something I can't fix without tons of money.
One last pic from far away to show the cabin in the shot and the big area in front of it I cleared out.
Flipping through I got some nice ones, this place is so cute but it is true, a real farmer should live here not just for this place but for the town. They push me to farm so much and it is because my grandpa was like the guy, they all wanted his fresh produce
So it would also be good for the town. Better then strange people being loud and disruptive for a few weeks just have a new group the next.
I tried to send the pictures through my phone but it was just not working. I might need to find some internet or a computer and I can send them online.
Sighing, I was not in a hurry but Sabastaian popped into my mind. I wonder if he would let me load them up and Sab would be more interested in me going home in the city then here on the farm, so I will ask him.
I was finishing chopping the tree's into fire wood that Shane knocked down when my phone beeped, standing up and wiping off my sweat I grabbed it off the porch.
"Come to Sabby's, game time." Abigail texted.
I went and got clean before driving up, the door was open as I peered in. "Hello?" I slowly walked in, passing the desk there was no one here when I heard her yell from the basement, I walked down and slowly opened the door.
"There she is!" Abigail yelled, both her and Sam sat around a table while sab was on his computer, I smiled and closed the door behind me.
I took the seat around the table she pointed me too, she was on my right and Sam was across from me. "So let me explain while we wait for him." She pointed at Sabastian.
"So, Sam is a warrior, he carries a shield and sword while Sabby is a fire mage, he is very strong, you will be the healer as I am the DM."
"I love healers." I smiled as she placed a small token for me on the board.
"Get out of the fire!" I yelled at Sam. I dropped my head on the table. "I heal the warrior." I sighed.
"You healed for twelve points."
This man was not good at self sustaining now he had a pocket healer. He just giggled like a mad man as he used a very strong attack making the fire standing have a point.
"Sam was hit for seven point's from the sword and four points from the fire."
"I heal the warrior." I sighed.
"I put float on the warrior." Putting him above the ground as he ran at the enemy not getting burned. I looked up at Sabastian with thankful eye's. Maybe next round I can do something besides heal.
"You run into the next room where you find a boss.' I looked at my sheet she made me knowing I was not ready for a boss, I barely have any skills and with Sam being reckless. Oh man.
It was over and I noticed it was around 7 pm, we played for so long but I could do it again. Abigail stood up and stretched. "Oh that was a game, so much better with one more person."
Sab nodded.
I guess I should leave. Right.
I watched Sam head out the door for the bathroom and stood up stretching as I looked at Sabastian. "I don't want to ask but." I said as I moved to Sabastian. "But I don't have internet and I was wondering if you have wifi here?" as I pulled out and pressed on my phone while he cleaned up the table.
"No, ethernet cable."
I rubbed my head as Abigail stared at me. "Could I use your computer for a second, see I need to send some pictures of the farm to my mother as we put the farm up for sale."
It got quiet but he nodded and I followed him to his computer, he grabbed my phone as we plugged it in.
"But we just added you to the game, you can't leave now." She spoke sadly.
I gave a small smile back at her as he messed around on his computer. "I am not leaving just yet, just putting it up is all."
Sam came back down his hands behind his head. "Ah that was needed, I had to go for the last half an hour." It was quiet in here. "What?"
"She is leaving." She pouted.
"Ya well we did play for a while." He flopped onto the couch.
"No like leaving Pelican town."
"Really?" He sat up. "Already?"
I looked at him. "I was saying I will be around for a little longer but we are just putting the farm up."
"Good, we need to hang out more." He leaned back with his hands behind his head.
Sab let me sit down as he hung over my shoulder and I hopped on and sent my pictures to my mom, it did not take long.
"Thanks." I said as I unplugged my phone.
"So your bike is almost done." He spoke. "We should go for a ride soon."
I looked up at him and nodded. "Can't wait."
"Wait, you have a bike too?" Sam asked sitting up again. "That is unfair I want one."
"Ya." Abigail crossed her arms and pouted.
"We could be like a bike gang." He spoke as he looked up. "Where would you even get one for free?" He touched his chin. "Take over the bar and be like tough guys."
"You, a tough guy." Abigail spoke. "Please."
He leaned back again. "Ya your right." He yawned putting his hands behind his head again.
We hung around for a little longer before I headed into the dark of night back home.
It was a lonely night at the bar as I ate, downing my drink I checked the time. It was 6:30 and Shane was not here. The man is like a clock. I looked at the door confused, Gus noticed to and gave me a worried glance.
Is he drunk someplace else, is he okay?
I waited a little longer but once my drink was done like normal I got up to leave, maybe I should drive by his home.
I was so worried because he is so depressed and I headed to the door, stepping out pulling out my key's there he was walking this way with his hands in his pockets as he stared at the ground, he paused in front of me but barely looked up before he just walked around me and headed into the bar without a sound.
I just stared.
What was that?
Did he just blow me off like that?
I almost got mad as I was so worried about him.
Then again that is Shane, why would things be different, I just sighed sadly and headed to my truck, at least he is okay.
I was laying on my couch wishing for even a dvd player or a computer. I am so bored and all I had to do was think and man that sucked.
My phone made a vibrate sound as I rolled over and grabbed it from the floor.
Abigail texted. "Ew" I was confused about to type. "I have a tank." Even more confusing.
"A real tank?"
"Tank?" I moved to type. "No, I have a tanner." "Fuck a tan." "I got a tan."
"To bad a tank sounds fun."
"Please it is bad, I don't want a tan."
"The end of the world."
"I need to spend a few days inside."
"I have an idea for tomorrow night." I typed.
"At night? Dragging us to another something already?"
"I may not have much time."
"Right."
