Chapter 21 "Odious de Cologne"

NARRATOR: The city of Townsville Mojo Jojo glares intensely at the bubbling flask of liquid he is heating over his Bunsen burner. With slow determination he adds several drops of a noxious oil which changes the mixture's color from blue to red. He grins his toothy leer as he sees the results was what he wanted.

Mojo Jojo laugh "Buwah, ha, ha, ha, ha! I have done it. I have created the very potion which will destroy those Powerpuff Girls. Wha, ha, ha, ha. Now I just have to commit a simple crime to bring them to me and to their doom!"

His dark shadow looms across the walls of his lair as he leans back and laughs maniacally until he has to stop and take a breath and starts coughing.

Mojo Jojo said "Dang, I almost swallowed my tongue that time."

Narrator: oh no the Girls better be on time of there Game" soon Speak of the Girls let see what they are up" cut to The home of the Powerpuff Girls is a peaceful serene vision of happiness as the Professor watches his girls practice proper and courteous manners at the dinner table.

Blossom said "Bubbles, would you be so kind as to pass me the potatoes."

Bubbles said "Certainly my dear sister. Oh my, Buttercup, you seem to have dropped your napkin on the floor. Let me get you another one."

Buttercup said oh "That is so gracious of you Bubbles. And how lovely you look in your fetching blue dress tonight."

Bubbles said "Why thank you Buttercup. Here is your napkin. Can you reach the rolls for me?"

Buttercup said "Yes, I can. Would you like me to pass you one?"

Bubbles said "Why yes, that would be lovely."

Buttercup - said "Well then, CATCH!"

Buttercup throws the roll and it bounces off Bubbles' head.

!BONK!

Professor said now "Buttercup! That is not the way to properly pass a roll to your sister."

Buttercup said "Aw, geez all this gushy politeness stuff is making my stomach churn. Why do we have to do this?"

Professor said "Because we have been invited to dinner with the Mayor at his mansion. And I want you girls to practice your manners and on how you should act like little ladies. You want to make a good impression on him and his important guests."

Blossom said "Is it true the governor will be there?"

Professor -said "Yes, so I want you girls to be on your best behavior. You are representing the city of Townsville as it's protectors. Do you understand that Buttercup?"

Buttercup said Yeah "Yeah, yeah, I'll behave. Would you like me to pass you the butter, my dear Bubbles?"

Bubbles covering her head) "No thank you, I'll settle for the jelly."

Just then the Powerpuff Girls hotline buzzes. Buttercup jumps up in her chair.

Buttercup said "All right, action!"

Professor said sternly) "Buttercup!"

Buttercup said "Oh, uh...Professor, may we be excused to kick bad guy booty."

Professor "Sigh...close enough. Yes, you may."

The girls zoom out of their chairs. Bubbles takes the time to fold her napkin neatly and place it next to her plate.

Blossom said "Powerpuff Girls hotline, yes Mayor. What? Mojo Jojo has broken into a candy machine on the corner of Crystal and Fenix streets?"

Buttercup said "That fiend!"

Blossom said "I know it doesn't sound like a serious crime but you're right in thinking this could be part of a more nefarious scheme on his part. Oh, Ms. Bellum thought that. What do YOU think? Uh yeah, pickles are crisper fresh out of the jar. Okay Mayor, we're on it!"

Blossom puts the phone down and turns to her sisters. Buttercup and Bubbles are having a battle of tongues as they stick them out at each other.

Blossom said "Girls!"

Bubbles said "She started it. She won't act polite to me."

Buttercup said "You want polite. How about...your countenance is not as horrent as usual tonight."

Bubbles said "Why thank you...I think?"

Blossom rolling her eyes) "Let's go and see what Mojo is up to."

The girls fly out a conveniently open window.

Professor said "Good thing I put in that window I bought from the Conveniently Open Window store."

Narrator cut to Downtown Mojo Jojo sits on the curb at the corner of Crystal and Fenix streets munching on candy bars from the machine he had broken into. He looks toward the sky in bored anticipation.

Mojo Jojo said "Man, when are they getting here? I am getting tired of eating these stale chocolate bars and looking at the sky in bored anticipation. What, yes, yes, there they are, muwah, ha, ha, ha!"

The Powerpuff Girls appear on the horizon and quickly zoom down to where Mojo was standing.

Blossom said "Not so fast..."

Buttercup said "Mojo..."

The girls look at Bubbles who was thinking hard to herself.

Bubbles said (to Buttercup) "Hey, what do you mean my countenance is not as abhorrent as usual?"

The girls said "Bubbles!"

Bubbles said "Oh yeah, Jojo!"

Blossom "Groan, never mind. Okay Mojo, what are you up to this time?"

Mojo Jojo - laugh "Hah, this time I have the very thing to destroy you with, behold!"

He whips out a vial containing a red liquid.

Blossom said "Watch out girls!"

Mojo Jojo Laught "Muwah, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!"

Buttercup said "I don't like the sound of that muwah, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!"

Mojo pops the top off the vial and splashes the liquid on his hands.

The girls then watch as he rubs his hands on the furry cheeks of his face.

Mojo Jojo said "Aaahhh, refreshing, like a soothing after shave. Not that I ever needed to shave"

Blossom said "Have you flipped your banana Mojo?"

Mojo Jojo laugh "Muwah, ha, ha, ha, I dare you to capture me now Powerpuff Girls."

Buttercup said "This is going to be easy. Watch me pound this monkey into ground round."

Buttercup flies up to Mojo ready to swing her fists at him but she stops in mid-swing.

Buttercup said "Whu...wha...that smell...I can't...must resist...must regain control..."

Blossom said "Well, hurry up Buttercup!"

Bubbles said "Yeah, stop doing your bad William Shatner imitation, we haven't got all night."

Blossom said getting impatient) "I'll show you how to do it." She flies down to punch Mojo as he stands there with a smug look on his face. But she too stops in her tracks. Bubbles then joins her petrified sisters.

Bubbles said "Let me show you how it's done you doodoo-headed ninnies." But then she too becomes frozen in place.

Blossom said "What do you mean doodoo-headed?"

Buttercup - said "Who you calling a ninny?"

Bubbles said "Well you said my countenance is not as abhorrent as usual."

The girls growl and then jump at each other punching and kicking. The rolling mass of Powerpuff Girls fall to the ground like a ball of fighting cats. They yell and screech obscenities to each other as they pummel whoever was closest. Blossom would punch Buttercup and slap

Bubbles. Buttercup would kick and head butt her sisters. And Bubbles would pull their hair and bite them. Mojo stood aside and watched with glee as the girls tore into each other. Soon laser blasts and energy bolts went flying with wild abandon.

Mojo Jojo said dodging a laser blast) "Whoa, I better get out of here before I suffer collateral damage. Ta ta, girls, I must go rob a bank now."

Narrator

With that Mojo saunters off popping some jawbreakers into his mouth and chuckling as he disappears into the night. The girls slowly back down from trying to kill each other. Then, as quickly as it began, the girls lay on the ground bloodied and bruised.

Blossom said "Groan, what happened to us?"

Buttercup said "Geez, I never thought I had to beat up on you guys. What made me do that?"

Bubbles said "Boo hoo, you hurt me!"

Buttercup said "Well, these teeth marks of yours aren't exactly love bites."

Blossom said will "Whatever Mojo put on himself made us want to kill each other whenever we get close to him."

Buttercup said "We can't touch him or we'll end up putting ourselves in traction."

Bubbles -"Sniff, I got the mother of all boo-boos!"

Buttercup said "Aw, geez, Bubbles. I'm sorry. Want me to kiss it and make it better?"

Bubbles - said "Only if you take back what you said to me earlier."

Buttercup said "Okay, okay, your countenance is really not as abhorrent as usual. It's just not as abhorrent as the rest of you."

Bubbles said "That's better...I think?"

Blossom said "We got to do something. Mojo is going to rob a bank and we can't stop him."

Bubble said "I could hold my breath."

Blossom said "What ever that stuff is, is stronger than any kind of smell."

Buttercup said "Not necessarily. Bubbles, you can talk to critters, right?"

Bubbles said "Yes, what do you have in mind?"

Buttercup leans close to Bubbles and whispers in her ear. Blossom also listens in on their a secret conversation.

Blossom - said "That's a great idea Buttercup. Do it Bubbles!"

Bubbles starts making a chirping sound.

Bubbles - said "Chirrup, chirrup, chirrup, chirrup, chirrup."

Buttercup said "I hope this works."

Blossom said "Look here they come!"

Buttercup said "All right, let's go stop that monkey!"

Narrator

The girls float up and fly toward the direction Mojo went. Bubbles continues making the sound which attracts a group of creatures following them on the ground. At the All-Night Semi-International State Bank Mojo aims his ray gun at the tellers as he passes out a bag.

Mojo Jojo said "Fill it up until I say when. And I take a long time to say when."

Blossom said "Not so fast..."

Buttercup said "Mojo..."

Bubbles said "Jojo! You stinky monkey!"

Mojo turns around to see the Powerpuff Girls defiantly standing in the doorway of the bank. They look bloodied and bruised. Their clothes are torn and dirty. Blossom has a black eye, Buttercup has teeth marks all over her, and Bubbles has the mother of all boo-boos.

Mojo Jojo yelled "Ah, hah. So you are back for more. Just step a little closer and smell the victory of my success."

Blossom said "Not this time Mojo. You're going to feel the agony of defeat."

Mojo Jojo said "What do you mean my feet? I'm wearing my best shoes."

Buttercup said "Take a whiff of this Mojo."

Bubbles gives a chirp and a pack of skunks appear from behind them.

Mojo Jojo - yelled "Agh, NO!"

Blossom said "Have a sniff on me Mojo."

Bubbles said "Chirrup, chirrup, attack!"

Narrator

The skunks charge at Mojo who jumps through a window smashing it. The skunks follow as he runs down the street screaming. In the distance his pitiful wail could be heard as his comeuppance comes at the raise of many tails.

Mojo Jojo "AAAAAHHHHH!"

Blossom said "Well girls, we better go home, ow, the Professor, ouch, can fix us up."

Narrator The girls slowly fly home moaning and groaning all the way. At the Utonium home, the Professor gingerly wraps the girls' wounds with bandages. Blossom holds an ice pack to her blackened eye, Buttercup dabs her bites with iodine, and Bubbles presses her Octi to her boo-boos.

Bubbles said "Here, Octi. Kiss my boo-boos and make them better."

Buttercup said "I think I kicked you in the head too much."

Professor said "Well I hope you girls learned a lesson about fighting with each other."

Blossom said "Violence against your loved ones is a sin. It solves nothing and we could have seriously injured each other."

Buttercup said "Injured, I could have killed you guys!"

Bubbles said "That's an awful thought."

Buttercup said "It is! I love you guys too much to ever really hurt you."

Bubbles said "Aw, that's so sweet of you to say that."

Bubbles gives Buttercup a big hug.

Buttercup said "Yeow, watch the ribs, I'm still sore there."

Bubbles said "Sorry, you can kiss my boo-boo now."

Buttercup said "I'll put on my calendar."

Blossom - said "What do you think Mojo used to make us hate each other enough to fight like that, Professor?"

Professor said "My guess is he used a mutated form of a pheromone."

Buttercup said "Pheromone?"

Professor said "It's a natural body scent. Generally it can be found in sweat. Normally it's meant to attract the opposite sex."

Buttercup said "Well, the way Mojo is smelling right now he couldn't attract a head cold."

They all laughed. Though the girls winced in pain as they did.
