Me: I hope everyone is fine with my writing style — I have always been more of a poet than a narrator.

Normal POV!

When he first met Midoriya Izuku, he thought he was different, strange even, but he wasn't sure how.

When he first saw him at the entrance exam, muttering to himself as Tenya stood, he had faltered when he set his sights on the boy's wings. At that moment, Tenya knew he was different from anybody else he's ever met. His wings just proved his theory.

Tenya has never seen someone with black wings, even more so as it is pitch black. It was drooped down with the boy still lost in his thoughts, but Tenya could tell that the wings were at least ten feet if not bigger.

Tenya's wings were a navy blue color, darker than his brother's whose wings were a deep blue that faded into a shade lighter at the bottom landing a good five feet, much smaller than Tenya's which was six feet with grey linings. Wings, to Tenya, while the colors mean nothing, are something to look out for when meeting someone new. He does not know what it means, only that no one else can see it.

And Tenya, unsettled and wary, had snapped and reprimanded him, telling him off for causing disturbance with his mumbling. In truth, his wings were more of a disturbance to Tenya than the noise, but the sight had shaken him too much to care about his conduct. Something about his wings seemed so… tainted, almost. Tenya had only ever seen wings that are colorful, lighter, and most of which are either smaller or bigger by a few inches from a person's height. This boy, on the other hand, had the darkest wings in existence, and probably the biggest in the room.

Tenya could not help but be wary, and quite frankly a little spooked. He almost felt bad when the boy shrunk into himself, his wings contracting further, but he didn't have time to think more of it when Present Mic spoke again.

Much too curious on his own, Tenya had found himself keeping a closer eye on the boy upon finding him in the same examination area as him. He'd wondered if the wings were a sign of bad omen, and decided to observe him.

The robots occupied his focus, but sometimes he'd look for the green-haired teen from the corner of his eyes. When the zero-pointer came, Tenya felt a green blur ran past him, and he watched as the source of his distress rushed to save a girl he barely knew, wings jolting as though it wanted to catch his attention, before tucking in to look smaller than it is as the boy aimed a punch at the robot, destroying it instantly.

Perhaps, he had been wrong.

Later, he found out who exactly Midoriya was. He was normal, albeit a little timid, and nervous most of the time. He's got a powerful strength enhancement quirk, but he is kind, intelligent yet lacking confidence in the way he held himself, and all of Tenya's previous doubts receded as he slowly relaxed in the boy's presence.

"Oi!"

Tenya turns, facing a pale blond teen whose rust colored wings were tensed up, dark amber linings in display with his back on him.

"Deku has a quirk, right?"

He also seems to have history with that other student, Bakugou Katsuki. A rude, temperamental blond who doesn't seem to care if he comes off disrespectful. They were paired together for a training exercise, a battle between four, two students as a team to act as either a villain or a hero under All Might's tutelage.

He tilts his head, wondering why the other felt the need to ask when the two seem to have known each other longer than they do. "You saw that extraordinary strength, didn't you?" he adds, "It appears to carry a lot of risks, though…" he thinks, remembering Midoriya's display of strength during the entrance exam and at the quirks assessment test, where the repercussions of his quirk was also shown. "However, you seem to be especially angry when it comes to Midoriya…" Tenya looks at Bakugou, watching warily as his wings keep tensing as he speaks.

Angry was a tame word, livid is more likely.

Tenya stares as the blond seems to get angrier at the mention of the green-haired teen's name. He doesn't know about the bad blood between these two, but it would be best to stay out of it and only intervene when it goes too far. He worries that Bakugou's emotions may get the best of him and sabotage their team, but Tenya figures the boy can use that anger to fuel his drive to win.

Tenya finds it ironic, how he is placed under the villain's role while Midoriya as a hero — but quickly dismisses the thought as soon as it forms. The boy's wings may be something unfamiliar to him, but he shouldn't be so quick to judge people especially when he barely understands his ability.

Me: This story will have no ship but I might tease a few ships here and there if you squint. Might do some subtle IzuOcha but it could be interpreted as platonic or even a botherly-sisterly relationship.

Midoriya: Don't forget - the author now has a link to a discord server (tdNdHA9).

Me: Oh yeah, xD Uhm... please remember that it's NEW.
