Me: I'm surprised I got no comments from the previous update. There was a hint there when Tensei's wings were mentioned, but I guess it wasn't glaring hard enough. Then again, the companion fic for this may have given away the details already.

Normal POV!

She didn't notice anything strange at first, despite the commotion at the front of the classroom on the first day, but his showing at the quirk assessment test proved that Midoriya Izuku is different.

His wings may seem sinister at first glance, but Tsuyu is never one to judge. Wings, as far as she knew, are invisible decorations unknown to many — a useless extra appendage. Wings do not have anything to do with the person, nor do they have any meaning. Besides, Midoriya is not the only one whose wings are unusually dark.

Ironically enough, Aoyama Yuuga, a blond boy born in France who loves to boast about his "shine" and "sparkles" and definitely one to crave attention — has the second most dark wings. With crow black colors and indigo linings, his wings are a half feet larger than Iida's, spanning six and a half feet.

Tsuyu's wings, on the other hand, are a lot lighter in shade. Her seaweed coloring accompanied by chartreuse linings give her wings a brighter glow, spanning five-point-three feet, much smaller in comparison.

Here in U.A., Tsuyu sees so many different colors, ranging from light colors to dark colors, from single patterns to multiple colored linings. Midoriya's wings are hard to discern, but Tsuyu thinks this is just a unique coloring the boy is lucky (or unlucky) enough to have gotten.

Instead, what peaks Tsuyu's curiosity more is the green-haired boy's quirk.

"I say whatever comes to mind." bluntly, she warns. "Midoriya-chan…"

"AH! Yes, Asui?" the boy yelps in his squeaky voice, jumpy as ever.

"Call me 'Tsu-chan.'" Tsuyu replies, more out of habit but still welcome. She turns to face Midoriya as the boy makes a flustered but agreeing sound before saying, "Your quirk is like All Might's." she smiles consideringly, a little more excited than she thought at having someone who's got such an impressive quirk similar to the number one hero's.

Midoriya flounders at that, embarrassed at the unexpected praise until Kirishima pipes in to mention his quirk's drawbacks. While the redhead is right, it does not make Midoriya's quirk any less impressive. Such a strong quirk, Tsuyu has no doubt Midoriya will improve more here in this school — just like she will.

And then villains appeared.

Suddenly, they are surrounded by a large crowd of villains who claim to have come to kill All Might. Tsuyu purses her lips, doubtful at the prospect of an unknown group of villains thinking they can defeat the strongest man alive. Still, the warp catches her off guard, who, to her surprise, has no wings visible on his body — but Tsuyu adapts.

She lands in water, and Tsuyu wastes no time moving. Her dark green eyes survey her surroundings, her quirk allowing her eyes to adjust to being underwater — she spots a violet blob in the distance, and then she darts, taking Mineta Minerou in her harm before seeing Midoriya from the corner of her eyes.

She ends up kicking a villain with a force she's mustered from swimming, using her tongue to grab her classmate before dashing off to drop him in a ship, her and the grape-haired boy following suit.

They make a plan — or rather, Midoriya makes a plan. He may not seem like it, what with his tendency to flail and panic easily, but Midoriya is a good strategist despite being under pressure. The boy has a determined side that shows whenever needed — reliable, a leader, a trait she saw and the reason why she voted for him to be the class representative (although Iida is a good choice too when speaking of classroom order and responsibilities).

As they plan, Tsuyu notices how Midoriya's wings have spread, still quite tense and not fully laid out but enough that it is almost covering her and Mineta, as though protecting them from the outside. Another thing that Tsuyu has learned is that wings behave like real appendages — like a tail is to a dog, it gives away a person's emotions and puts their feelings on display if not controlled (but maybe that wouldn't be necessary, considering people don't see them anyways).

As he speaks, Tsuyu observes how his wings hover over them like a protective cloak, still shy of touching them or reaching further away from his body — hesitant, but under there Tsuyu feels safe, somehow, in spite of the menacing black wings partially covering her and Mineta.

Besides her, she felt rather than see Mineta flinch, his wings tucking closer to express his fear, hiding magenta colored linings as he trembles, gaze looking anywhere but not meeting Midoriya.

Hmm… something to think about later.

Right now, they need to survive this attack.

Me: Not sure if you've noticed but I was originally planning on making Asui suspicious of Izuku's connection to All Might — but re-watching the episode made me notice Asui's blush so I just made her impressed and excited instead. Anyways, more to come!

Asui: Don't forget - the author now has a link to a discord server (tdNdHA9) now-kero.

Me: Oh yeah, xD Uhm... please remember that it's NEW.
