It's nighttime in the City of Townsville. The girls are in their bedroom and they are all dressed for bed. Bubbles is playing with Octi, Blossom is reading a book in Chinese and Buttercup is holding her blanket.
"Pretty awesome blanket, huh?" Buttercup boasted, satisfied with the results from that afternoon's battle with a monster. "And the fact that I kicked butt after I got it back proves its power."
Blossom groaned. Her little plan of hers had gone on long enough. "Buttercup, I have to tell you something. That's not your real blanket," she admits. "It's just a fake blanket I found to get you through the fight. And since you fought just as well as ever, it obviously worked."
"Yeah," Bubbles simply agreed. Buttercup's eyes open in shock. She looks at the fake blanket for a few moments and realizes that she's been tricked. A healthy amount of anger appears on her face.
"You-You tricked me!" She shouts at her sisters. "Why, I'm gonna-" She abruptly stops, and her angered expression turns into one of absolute worry. "But...if this isn't my real blanket, then...where...ooh..."
The green Puff zips over to the drawers in the corner of the room and finds nothing. She then heads to the kitchen and gets the same result before heading to the laundry room. She strikes out.
When she gets back to her room, Buttercup opens the door and her next move throws her sisters for a loop: She throws herself on the bed and begins to cry, pounding the mattress with each wail.
"WHERE'S MY BLANKET?!" she shouts in anguish. Just then, the Professor walked into the room, carrying a basket of clean laundry as if nothing had happened.
"Oh, hello, girls. I brought you some clean laundry."
Buttercup stops crying and looks up at her father-or rather, one of the very items that's in the basket that he's holding. Her blanket is one of the items inside, and she gleefully races across the room and grabs it.
"Oh, blankie, I love you, I love you, I love you, I..." She stops when she looks up at her sisters, who's faces are that of high disapproval. Buttercup sighs in defeat.
"Here, Professor. You can have-wait, on second thought, no! No, it's my blankie, and I don't care what you two have to say!" She says, pointing to Blossom and Bubbles.
"But, Buttercup-" Bubbles starts.
"'But' nothing!" Buttercup scowled. "Why should you have to sleep with Octi, and why should Blossom have to sleep with her bow if I can't have my blanket?"
"Buttercup, we figured by you being the toughest of the three of us, that you didn't need something so trivial as a blanket," Blossom responds, arms folded. This only made Buttercup angrier.
"Oh, so just because I'm the toughest, that means I can't have a blanket, huh?" Buttercup snidely said. "Well, maybe I don't feel like being the tough one all the time! Maybe I need comfort once in a while, Blossom! But no, I'm supposed to be tough!" She choked out the "tough" part of that last sentence, being on the verge of tears. This made Blossom and Bubbles' expressions soften as they looked at each other before turning back to Buttercup.
"Buttercup, why didn't you just say so?" Bubbles asked after a brief silence.
"Because...because you guys would laugh at me and make fun of me and stuff..."
"Buttercup, look, we're sorry for not understanding you," Blossom sincerely said. "If you really want to sleep with your blanket to help you feel better, then go ahead. We won't make fun of you."
"You promise?" The green Puff asked. Her sisters nodded.
"Thanks, girls," she smiled.
Moments later, the Professor tucked them into bed, gave them all a goodnight kiss and left the room, turning off the light while doing so.
The standard end shot comes up.)
