Narrator: Sugar. Spice, and everything nice. These were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect little girls, but Professor Utonium accidentally added an extra ingredient to the concoction. Chemical X!

Professor: *Gets moved backwards by an explosion, but smiles when he sees what he created*

Narrator: Thus the Powerpuff Girls were born! Using their ultra super powers, Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup have dedicated their lives to fighting crime, and the forces of evil.

Blossom: *Flies through the sky*

Bubbles: *Flying to the right of Blossom*

Narrator the City of Townville News cameras roll and the crowd surges forward as all of Townsville is gathered in front of the Tiny Tyke Toy factory while the Mayor prepares to make a speech. Ms. Bellum helps him get up onto a stool at the podium which brings him up to the level of the microphone. He taps it hesitantly with his finger creating feedback which makes everyone cringe.

!SQUEEEL!

Mayor said "Uh, is this thing on?"

Ms. Bellum (sighing) "Yes, Mayor, it is most definitely on."

Mayor said "Oh good...ahem, cough, harrumph, hack, hack!"

Ms. Bellum (even more sighing) "Could you please get on with it, Mayor?"

Mayor (clueless look) said "With what? Oh yes, ummm..."

He shuffles a stack of index cards in his hands.

Mayor - said "Ah, here we are! Fine people of Townsville. We are gathered here to pay tribute to a success in the business world and celebrate a milestone which is important to all of our children. Here at the Tiny Tyke Toy factory they have produced the millionth Teddy Bear!"

The crowd cheers enthusiastically. Among them are many children including Ms. Keane's kindergarten class.

Mayor said "And now a word from the president of Tiny Tyke Toys, Mister Sam Gladhand."

A man in a neatly pressed suit steps up to the podium, acknowledging the applause from the crowd. Middle aged and looking well tanned he tries to hide the obvious fact that he is wearing a hairpiece. He gives Ms. Bellum a seductive glance but she doesn't return the same.

Sam said "Welcome to my factory and thank you for the accolades. The success of my company is all due to all you good people buying toys for your wonderful little children. And in appreciation for that I am now giving away a Teddy Bear to each and every child here."

The crowd cheers even louder. And at that moment there is a scream of jets heard overhead as the Powerpuff Girls make a flyover and paint a message across the sky with their contrails, spelling the words: "Thanks Tiny Tykes"

As the Powerpuff Girls land they see many of their young friends move to the front of the crowd to receive the Teddy Bears. The Mayor joins them.

Mayor said "That was great girls. Don't forget to get in line and get your Teddy Bears."

Blossom " said , as super heroes we can't accept gifts."

Bubbles said "Besides, the Professor buys us all the toys we want."

Buttercup said "Only if we eat all our vegetables, blech!"

Mayor said "Well do what you like girls, but I'm getting in line for one of those bears."

Ms. Bellum said "Mayor, you should wait for the children to get theirs first."

Mayor said "What? The greedy little brats!"

Ms. Bellum said "Remember those bra um I mean children belong to voters."

Mayor - said "Oh yes, the little darlings."

Bell giggle "Hee hee hee, he can be so silly."

Ms. Bellum sighs and shakes her head. Robin runs up to them holding a new teddy bear.

Robin said "Girls, look at the nice teddy bear I got. He talks."

She squeezes its tummy and the bear speaks.

Teddy Bear said "I am your best friend. Want to play?"

Blossom said "That's great Robin, are you coming over this afternoon?"

Robin said "No, I got to go shopping with Mom. She says I have been wearing out my clothes too fast playing with you girls."

Buttercup said "Hey, we don't play no sissy girlie games."

Blossom said "Watch your grammar, Buttercup. And we can play nice games too."

Buttercup said "Boring!"

Bubbles said "Having a tea party can be nice and not boring."

Buttercup said "Only if G.I. Joe can crash the tea party with a tank battalion. Vroom, bang, boom!"

Blossom (rolling her eyes) said "Oh brother!"

Ms. Keane said "Okay, children. Everyone got their teddy bears? Good, let's get back on the bus to return to the school."

As she herds her charges toward the bus, Sam Gladhand watches the group of children with a greedy glint in his eye.

Sam said "Yes, take your teddy bears home with you. When you hear their special message you will be back wanting more toys and will make me even richer."

He turns on his heels and returns to his office inside the main plant. Unlike the rest of his company which is austere and functional, his office is plush and filled with expensive furniture. He settles into his big desk chair and pushes a button on an intercom.

Sam said "Miss Tart! Send in Ferndorfer!"

Secretary's voice over the intercom - "Yes, Mister Gladhand."

Within minutes a frail little man wearing thick glasses enters his office walking with hesitant steps. He stops in front of Sam's huge ornate desk and looks up at him.

Ferndorfer said "You sent for me, Mister Gladhand?"

Sam Gladhand spins around in his chair and stares out the window at Townsville.

Sam said "Think of it, Ferndorfer. Tonight, when all those kids go to sleep with those teddies I gave them, the special hidden subliminal message will kick in. And those rug rats will hear the same words repeated to them in their sleep: Buy more Tiny Tyke toys, buy more Tiny Tyke toys, BUY MORE TINY TYKE TOYS! I will be a rich man when they bug their parents to buy more of my toys."

Ferndorfer said "Even though I do not approve of your unethical methods, you do have to give me credit for creating the programming and those special teddy bears."

Sam said "Hah! You get nothing! I put my name on all the code and the patents for those bears. If they prove successful I can sell the idea to other toy manufacturers for big money."

Ferndorfer said "What, you can't do that! It was all my work on that toy that is going to make you rich. Don't I get anything out of this?"

Sam - said "Yes you do, which is why I called you in here. You get to be FIRED!"

Ferndorfer said "I'M FIRED!? What if I blab to the press about the subliminal message programmed into those bears?"

Sam said "You won't say word. I can frame you on embezzlement charges and see to it you won't be able to get a job in this business for the rest of your life."

Ferndorfer (angrily) - said "You're despicable, you're a scoundrel, a cheat, a liar..."

Sam presses a button on his desk and a burly security guard enters the room.

Guard said "You need something, Mister Gladhand?"

Sam said "Throw this troublemaker out. He no longer works here."

Ferndorfer said "...miscreant, lout, sorry excuse for a...ACK!"

Ferndorfer is cut short when the guard grabs him by the back of his collar, bodily carries him out of the office and shoves him out the front door of the plant. Picking himself off the ground the little man sadly walks to the bus stop and takes the next bus to his apartment in town.

Though on the outside he seems quiet and sad, inside he is a raging inferno of hate and anger. He arrives at his simply furnished flat in a more rundown part of town.

What scant tattered furniture he owns is barely seen among the piles of electronic and mechanical parts. The fruits of his labors as an unappreciated inventor. He sits down in a ragged chair and stares out the dirty window at the city. Hours pass as he sits and seethes until the sun goes down and the city sparkles with late night activity. Finally a crafty grin scrawls across his thin face.

Ferndorfer said "Sam Gladhand is just like all the others who have hired and fired me in the past. Exploiting me for my ideas and taking those ideas for themselves to fatten their wallets with my creations. Throwing me out like so much trash after using me. Well, no more."

He grimly picks up the phone book and leafs through the tattered pages. Finding the number he needs he looks for his phone under a pile of empty pizza delivery boxes. Then he dials a certain number.

The phone rings at the Schneider residence just before Robin is about to go to bed. Her mother calls to her that a friend of hers is on the phone.

Robin (picking up the phone) said "Hello?"

Ferndorfer (using a high-pitched girlish voice) - said "Robin, it's me Julie."

Robin said "Oh hi, Julie. It's almost my bedtime."

Ferndorfer (high-pitched voice) said "I know, I hate to bother you but the teddy bear I got today doesn't seem to be working right. Can I listen to yours over the phone? Just hold the receiver to it and make it talk."

Robin said "Oh, okay..." Robin holds her bear to the phone and squeezes its belly.

Teddy Bear said "Let's go beddy-bye now." The moment Ferndorfer hears the bear on the line he holds a small box to his phone and presses a button. A series of ultrasonic tones are sent over the phone line which only the bear can hear.

Ferndorfer (high-pitched voice) - said "Thank you Robin, that's all I needed to hear. Goodnight." He puts the phone down and chuckles to himself.

Ferndorfer said "It's a good thing I had done some research on the friends of the Powerpuff Girls. I knew they were going to be at the celebration today. Now they will all be part of my revenge on the scum who took advantage of me. Ha ha ha ha ha ha!" He starts to pack his suitcases and make plans to be far away before it is too late.

Robin puts the phone down and goes back upstairs with the bear under her arm.

Robin said "Boy, that was strange. Wasn't it Mister Bear?" She squeezes the bear's tummy again while getting into bed.

Teddy Bear said "I'm sleepy, aren't you?"

Robin said "You bet I am." After she snuggles into her comfortable bed her mother tucks her in and Robin hugs her bear tight as she goes to sleep.

Narrator Several hours later, as the whole Schneider household sleeps, the teddy bear in Robin's arms gently stirs. Its little eyes glow with a sinister light. Carefully, so as to not awaken Robin, the bear moves by itself and crawls out of her arms and off the bed. It walks over to the door and using amazing mechanical strength intentionally jams the lock. Then the bear walks over to the window on the other side of the room and quietly opens it. It sticks its head out of the window and opening its mouth sends an ultrasonic signal to all the other bears within range. One by one the teddy bears in the nearby homes awaken and each go to a window to send out its signal. Only heard by the occasional dog, the coded sounds reach across Pokey Oaks and to the outskirts of Townsville like a contagious virus, spread from teddy bear to teddy bear.

Robin turns over in her sleep and realizes that her teddy bear is not in her arms. She sits up and tries to adjust to the darkness in the room looking for her toy. Then she sees it standing by her open window.

Robin said "What? How did you get over there?"

The teddy bear turns toward her, its button eyes glowing red. A chill goes down the child's back as she sees the glint of razor sharp teeth in its mouth when the teddy gives out a low mechanical growl. Robin jumps out of bed and runs for her door. She tries to turn the knob but the lock is jammed. She pounds on the door with her small hands.

Robin yelled "MOMMY! DADDY!"

When she hears the growl right behind her she turns to see the bear lunge at her. Quickly dodging the attack she runs back toward her bed to try to hide under it.

But before she can reach it she feels a searing stab of pain in her back and hears the sound of her nightgown tearing. She falls to her knees and looks back to see the bear baring long sharp claws from its paws.

She tries to get up as the bear slashes at her again and again. She runs for the open window, her night clothes cut to ribbons, her skin striped with blood from the cuts.

She climbs out on the small ledge and then loses her footing. Flailing wildly she grabs onto the ledge, hanging on for her dear life from the second floor window of her bedroom. She looks up to see the bear looming over her as it leans out of the window, its teeth and claws poised to tear into her flesh.

She screams in terror!

Robin yelled "SOMEONE HELP ME!"

At that moment Bell wakes up and sits up quickly in bed.

Bubble said "ROBIN!"

In a flash she zooms out of the house just as Bubbles Blossom and Buttercup also wake up.

Blossom said "Our friend is in trouble!"

Buttercup said "Let's go!"

Bubble quickly flies to the back of Robin's house and sees her friend lose her grip on the ledge. Before the girl can hit the ground Bubbles catches Robin in midair and carries her back up to the window followed by her sisters.

Bubble said "Robin, speak to me!" But her friend is in shock and limp in her arms.

Blossom said "What happened? Why was Robin hanging out there?"

They suddenly notice Robin's torn and bloodied nightgown.

Buttercup said "Oh my gosh, how did she get all cut up?"

Bubbles - said "Who would do such a terrible thing to our friend?"

Narrator Then they hear a low mechanical growl in the dark room. They all turn to see the teddy bear walking toward them, eyes glowing, menacingly baring its fangs and claws.

Blossom said "What in the world?"

Bubbles said "Oh my goodness!"

Buttercup said "He doesn't look like he wants to play."

As the bear moves toward them Blossom steps in front of Bubbles who is holding Robin while Buttercup steps in front of them. The bear lashes out and as its claws tear at Buttercup's nightie she hits it in the snout with a punch. The bear staggers back for a moment and comes at her again.

This time Buttercup grabs the bear's paws and forces it back. The bear tries to bite at her but Buttercup yanks hard and pulls the bear's arms off. Then she delivers a savage head butt to the bear's head and as sparks fly the shattered toy falls to the floor in pieces.

Buttercup said "That thing was tough but I was tougher."

Blossom said "Why did that thing attack Robin and us? It's just a toy?"

Buttercup said "I've never seen a toy want to eat my face."

Bubbles said "Girls, Robin needs help!"

Blossom said "You two go wake up Robin's folks and help them get her to the hospital while I take what remains of this thing to the Professor." Then with their super hearing they hear sounds of other children screaming for help from around Pokey Oaks.

Buttercup said "I think there's more trouble out there."

Blossom said "Looks like we're going to be busy. Bubbles, help Robin. Buttercup, try to help the folks out there. I'll see the Professor so he can figure out what is going on with this toy. I'll join you when I can."

They separate as Bubbles crashes through the jammed bedroom door to wake up Robin's parents.

Buttercup flies out to the nearest house she hear cries for help coming from and Blossom takes the pieces of the teddy bear to her house. Mayhem has erupted across Pokey Oaks as more and more teddy bears attack their owners. Buttercup sees children and adults running out of their houses being chased by the evil toys. She lands and quickly tries to dispatch the bears but every time she destroys one another two appear. Soon she is swamped by them as the citizens run away in terror.

Narrator

In the Utonium home, down in his lab, the Professor examines the remains of the first teddy bear the girls encountered.

Professor said "This is an amazing mechanism. A small powerful robotic device with the sole purpose of hurting people." He feels the sharpness of the claws with his finger.

Blossom said "Why would someone do this?"

The Professor pulls a small black chip from the tangled mass of circuits.

Professor said "I will know more when I disassemble the program code in this thing's microprocessor. You better go help your sister, from what you told me, every Tiny Tyke teddy bear could be on the rampage."

Blossom said "And there are thousands of them out there."

She zooms out of the house and sees a mass of people in their pajamas running down the street. Going in the opposite direction from them she soon comes upon a pile of broken teddy bears. In the middle of the carnage Buttercup is trying to hold her own against a seemingly endless army of evil toys.

Blossom said "I'm coming Buttercup!"

Buttercup said "It's about time, I'm getting tired."

When Blossom lands next to her sister she notices Buttercup's nightclothes are almost in shreds and the many nicks and cuts on her skin are bleeding.

Blossom said "Are you okay?"

Buttercup said "I've fought worst monsters but these little creeps never stop coming."

Blossom said "Tasty Freeze Plan Omega One!"

Buttercup said "Okay!"

Taking a deep breath, Blossom blows her ice breath at the rest of the teddy bears freezing them in their tracks. Then Buttercup blasts them with her lasers causing the ice to quickly melt and turn to steam. The combination of the quick freeze and heat up plus the wet steam shatters the bears which explode into a mess of gears and circuit boards.

Buttercup said "Whew, that's that."

Blossom said "Maybe not all, there are lots more of those out there."

Buttercup said "You're right."

Blossom said "We better get you home and cleaned up."

Buttercup - said "Yeah, it's cold out here with all my clothes torn off."

Back in their home the Professor cleans up Buttercup's wounds, which heal quickly, while Blossom gets their street clothes from the closet. Bubbles returns from the hospital as they are getting dressed.

Blossom said "How's Robin?"

Bubbles said "She's going to be okay but she is really scared about what happened."

Blossom said "Someone meant for kids to be traumatized and badly hurt by these terrible teddy bears."

Buttercup said "I bet that Mister Sam Gladhand has something to do with this."

Blossom said "We'll pay him a visit after we take care of the rest of those toys."

As they wait for Bubbles to change into her Powerpuff dress the Professor hands Blossom a small device.

Professor said "I found out from analyzing the toy that it can be controlled by specially coded ultrasonic sounds. This device might allow you to control those bears."

Blossom said "Great, are we ready to roll?"

Buttercup said "Ready to kick teddy booty."

Bubbles said "But I still have to brush my hair."

Blossom and Buttercup yelled "BUBBLES!"

Bubbles (sighing) saying "Okay, let's roll."

Narrator Townsville is itself in a turmoil as the evil teddy bears create chaos among its citizens. Even the Mayor is having a trying time of it when he can't use the hotline to call the Powerpuff Girls. His teddy bear has eaten it! He is cowering in a corner trying to keep the menacing bear at bay by throwing pickles at it.

Mayor said "Nice bear, good bear, have a pickle..."

Teddy Bear "Growl..."

Mayor yelled "HELP!"

Suddenly Blossom crashes through his window.

Mayor said "Oh great! My teddy is being mean, do something Blossom!"

Blossom holds up the device and presses the button. The teddy bear stops in its tracks and then does a wacky dance.

Mayor said "Aw, how cute."

Buttercup appears through the open window and stomps the toy flat.

Mayor said "Aw, that's too bad."

Blossom said "Well the device works but not like I expected."

Buttercup said "We can't stop the thousands of bears out there one at a time."

Bubbles (appearing at the window) said "Blossom, I just saw a whole bunch of the teddy bears going toward the power station!"

Buttercup said "We got to stop them!"

Blossom thinks for a moment and suddenly has an inspiration.

Blossom said "The reservoir is near the power station. Come on, I got a plan!"

Narrator As the Powerpuff Girls leave the Mayor nudges the pieces of the teddy bear with his foot.

Mayor said "Mister Bear?"

The broken toy sputters and the Mayor jumps behind the sofa in fright.

Mayor said "Eeeekkk!"

Narrator On the outskirts of Townsville sits the large power plant that provides electricity to much of the region. Several police cars already block the road as an army of teddy bears are seen approaching. When the evil toys come within range the police begin firing their weapons at them. Pistols, rifles, shotguns and even automatic weapons seem to have no effect on the heavily armored teddies. Then the sound of the Powerpuff Girls flying overhead brings a cheer from the beleaguered police.

Blossom said "Cease firing!"

When silence falls across the area, all that can be heard are the soft paddings of thousands of teddy bear feet on the asphalt and the low growls from their mouths. Blossom turns on the device and all the bears stop. Then they all turn as one toward her and start dancing. As she slowly backs up the bears begin to follow as they dance. Buttercup and Bubbles are on either side of the horde of dancing teddy bears to knock any that stray back into line. Soon Blossom is flying over the reservoir and like lemmings the teddy bears all mindlessly dance into the water. Sparks fly as their circuits short out and they sink to the bottom.

Blossom said "Well, that's that."

Buttercup said "Now let's get that Gladhand."

Police officer said "Blossom, the Chief just called on the radio. They have Sam Gladhand in custody at headquarters downtown."

Blossom - "Thanks, let's go girls."

Narrator When the Powerpuff Girls get to police headquarters they find the Professor already there with the Chief and several detectives. Sitting among them is a quivering Sam Gladhand looking like he was just pulled out of bed.

Sam said "I don't know anything about my toys going bad. They weren't supposed to hurt anyone."

Chief said "Tell that to all the people and their kids who were cut up by your teddy bears. You're lucky no one was killed or you would be facing even more serious charges."

Professor said "How do you explain your name on this program code I extracted from your teddy bear?"

Sam said "Someone else wrote it, I only put my name on it to keep the profits to myself. That same guy also designed the bears. He's the one you want."

Chief said "You mean this Ferndorfer you said who worked for you? We just checked your employee records and no such person exists."

Sam said "That's because I had his records expunged when I fired him. I swear I only wanted to send a subliminal message so kids will buy more of my toys."

Chief - said "If that is all you intended that still is wrong. You have a lot to answer for."

A police officer enters the room.

Police officer said "Chief, we tracked down the only Ferndorfer listed as living in Townsville. Here's the address."

Blossom said "We'll take care of him, Chief!"

Buttercup said "Yeah, he owes us big!"

Bubbles said "For hurting our friend!"

Chief - said "Okay girls, but leave something for us to arrest."

Professor said "Be careful girls, this person could be ingenious enough to be dangerous."

Blossom said "Don't worry, Professor. We have brains and brawn on our side."

Buttercup (flexing her muscles) said "That's right!"

Bubbles (fluttering her lashes) said "Don't forget beauty."

Buttercup (rolling her eyes) said "Oh geez!"

Narrator Within minutes the Powerpuff Girls find Ferndorfer's apartment but when they break in they find it completely empty.

Blossom said "Nothing!"

Bubbles said "It looks like no one has ever lived here."

Buttercup said "I bet that Gladhand was feeding us a line about this Ferndoofus guy."

Blossom - said "Well it doesn't matter, he's in so much trouble he's not getting out of this one. Let's go home."

Many hundreds of miles away, Ferndorfer is unpacking his bags at an isolated cabin which he has rented in the deep woods.

Ferndorfer said "Sam Gladhand should be spending time in a jail cell by now. Heh heh heh, those teddy bears are just the beginning. Here I won't be bothered by anyone as I build my ultimate revenge. A machine so powerful not even the Powerpuff Girls can stop it!"

He hears a noise behind him and he turns around to see a teddy bear climb out of one of his trunks. Its eyes glow with evil intent as it walks toward him withrazor sharp fangs and claws bared.

Ferndorfer said "Oh no! I must have accidentally packed one of my prototypes. I don't know which of my suitcases has the controller. Back! Stay back!"

He makes a dash for the door but he trips over his suitcase, spraining his ankle. Sprawled and helpless on the floor he looks up at the teddy bear which is looming over him.

Teddy Bear said "G-g-g-r-r-o-w-w-l-l!"

Ferndorfer said "NO! NO! AAAAHHHH!"

cut to Heart"

Narrator: " teddy bears no thanks you And so once again the day is save thank you the Powerpuff Girls!"
