Chapter 2

A quick breath ignited Felix's limbs. In the cove of concrete the devil pawed at his eyes to force them open. A faint glow filtered in through that weak darkness illuminating his shape. The abominable body followed his will so perfectly that Felix sighed. He hardened pushing aside the momentary thought that his new reality was only a dreadful dream and for a moment he sat there restlessly.

His leg bounced up and down as frustration gripped his soul while he silently cursed. His claws dug into his skull drawing blood but before they could go any deeper, he let out a guttural roar. Up jumped Felix unwilling to let his vexing thoughts take root in his heart.

"Get your priorities straight," Felix chided himself. No amount of sitting around would change his predicament. He knew the only thing that would change his situation was detailed action. "Find a job, get a place, learn about Hell." So, he straightened his clothing and stepped out from his hovel to the streets.

Undeterred by the sandwiched boulevards of fellow sinners Felix happened upon an electric pole with papers frugally stapled and nailed to it. Remnants of the papers were flimsily hanging to the wood as Felix muscled his way towards them. Sorting through what lingered of the ads Felix discovered that he had only managed to attain the essentials of a few job listings. One was for a position at a place called the Happy Hotel, this one was the most intact but for some reason had gratuitous amounts of graffiti in it. Another was for 666 news asking for a video editor, the next an amusement park, and the last for the Porn Studios where the only words that he could decipher were 'Acting'.

He had not long finished reading the word porn before his face drooped and his throat filled with disgust. Doubly so as Felix saw the symbol of the studio in all its sultry glory. Furthermore, lines of people were filtering in and out of the place with signed memorabilia from their favorite stars. "I'd sooner be a clown." he swore.

The demon glumly discarded one of the papers. He scanned his surroundings to look for anything resembling the hotel or news station. At first, he passed by many shops and stores with all differing kinds of demons in them.

Some appeared to be transformed amalgamations like himself while others were the imps, hellhounds, and other hell born creatures. Felix however focused on the sinners. They behaved in an excited, perverted fashion that one would expect of their breed. Some ate voraciously, others downed bottles of alcohol in moments, many could not help groping and grab one another lustfully.

Their happiness forced the outsider's nose to scrunch. He struggled to believe that these former people would be so drenched in their fornication that they would forget properness and revel in debauchery at the beginning of the day.

These were people once? Felix thought of the seven deadly sins, the end all, be all of vices. Any one of them could lead a person down the eternal road to death and Felix assumed the presence of hell itself only added more fuel to the fire. All the souls of mankind would be tempted beyond any reasonable doubt in a place such as this but what of him? Felix shuddered.

As he walked down the sidewalk, he picked up a few whistles coming his way. A small group of what he assumed to be females winked at him. He snapped his head away from the scantily dressed women with clenched teeth.

Over the horizon he saw a billboard for the 666 News Station. Finding his way to it proved easy but as he did a new challenge presented itself. The building was inconceivably puzzling to navigate. No matter how he walked around it no entrance presented itself to him. That was until he made his way to a side street to see a woman smoking. "Excuse me," Felix called. "Could you point me to the entrance? I want to answer the ad."

The woman looked down at him crunching the cigarette. "No," Katie drawled in a puff of smoke. Felix cocked his head to the side. "And I don't mean no as in, 'I won't point you in the right direction', I mean no as in you don't get the job."

"Excuse me?"

"You're excused dog boy." she snickered poking his nose. "I'm the face of this station see and there's no way in hell I'm letting some dopey faced, crudely dressed, shit smelling were-devil work within ten thousand feet of me."

Felix's mouth hung open. Surely, he was a bit unkempt due to his previous trials, the remaining manner of her incredulous words were completely unfounded. Katie pranced towards a door leading back into the news station. There was a bit more sway in her walk thanks to her barrage of insults. "B-but I'm good at video editing! I worked a lot in-"

"Oh kid. I don't care."

"If you would give me-"

"I'll give you some advice. Take a shower." With a final word she slammed the door laughing all the way back to her green screen. With a flick of his hand Felix tore his slips into tinier and tinier pieces. When nothing was left of it, he turned on his heels, stomping in the opposite direction.

- HeavenBound-

Right away he knew the hotel was out of the ordinary. Despite its eye-catching nature, it was entirely void of patrons. The long runway leading up to it had not a single car lining the way. As for the hotel itself there seemed to be a ship laid parallel to the building, a train trestle that lead to nowhere, a carousel at the top, but most importantly there was a hideous orange eye that seemed to be following him as he neared the place. Felix brushed past the tent to the entrance and knocked on the door. Then he knocked again. And again.

Felix backed away from the entrance and looked up at to the building for any indications of movement. The lights were not on for any floor. This was a hotel there had to be some sort of staff waiting to receive guests. The boy knocked again although this time he tried the lock as well. It would not budge an inch. Letting loose a howl Felix walked away from the place. "What type of hotel advertises for workers and doesn't have staff there. Whoever owns this place doesn't have their head on straight." The wind picked up. The last of Felix's papers slipped from his hand into the air.

He jumped madly in the air flailing at it. Every jump he took the slip was just a tiny bit out of his reach but close enough to make him keep trying. Though in a final flutter it landed gracefully in the hands of a handsome man. "Thanks for that." Felix huffed.

The man rubbed the paper in-between his fingers. He looked down at the advertisement then to the monster standing before him. Felix stuck out his hand to which the rosy cheeked man kindly returned the paper. Looking around Felix the man took a gander at the Happy Hotel. "Kids these days their heads so full of dreams," Lucifer mused. "Job hunting's already rough. You shouldn't place your bets on a start up."

"Wish I knew that before I walked all the way out here." Felix stood up straight eyeing his paper once more. Words on the paper slowly came into focus. "LooLoo Land?"

"That the place you're looking for?" Felix jumped. The man copied him. Aside from the looks on their faces they could have been perfect mirrors. "A little jumpy. Do you scare that easy?"

"You snuck up on me dude."

The man shrugged. He had been standing there the whole time. It was not his fault that this kid had forgotten his presence. "I suppose that's fair. But hey if you want to get LooLoo Land I just so happen to know a way there."

"What's in it for you?" Felix narrowed his eyes. "Everyone wants something."

"Oh, I get it." The man said quickly. "You're right to be scared," he shouted shifting on the nearest platform. He flung his arms to the sky and danced around making himself larger. "I'm the scariest demon in Hell after all! I bring fire and brimstone down on unsuspecting fools! Worse yet I lead them to sin just to see them crash and burn! Cower in fear! For I am the Enemy! Yes, the Enemy! The Enemy of all that is good in the universe!" he sang pounding his chest.

Dust swirled around the pair. The man, not breaking his stance the entire time, proudly balanced himself unwilling to move a muscle. To that goofy display Felix chuckled. "You must be the Devil then."

"How'd you guess?" Felix allowed his shoulders to lower, easing his tension. "Look I get it. You're right to be wary but understand I don't want your soul." Lucifer returned the laugh.

Felix's lip tightened then he sighed some more. The visage of the slick demon he met the day before blurred in his mind. Albeit this man was not as touchy as Alastor. "No tricks?"

"No tricks. I'll get you where you need to go no strings attached, free of charge. Deal?" The man stuck out his hand. Felix gazed at it a bit more before accepting his hand. Lucifer displayed a bit more strength than Felix assumed he possessed and as he let go, he stared back into the boy's eyes. "Alright let's shake a leg!"

The man led the way forward. Scenery smudged together with the pair striding down the side streets. Everything seemed to contort around them as the backdrop lost its color and the numerous demons that once littered the street faded into oblivion. Felix although could not tear his eyes away from his guide.

His features were fair yet still had a masculine presence about them. His vernacular seemed nostalgic yet at the same time refreshing. He walked regally with the strut befitting a monarch and his stance matched it.

"Woah-no!" Felix yelled. In an instance his thoughts were dashed away bringing him back to the world. He focused on the jagged passage beneath him filled with jagged rocks.

"Falling for me already?" His guide smirked pulling the boy to the path.

Felix blew out air. "I wouldn't say that. I'm barely hanging on to you." He grumbled pointing at his rescuer.

Throwing his head back the guide hooted. It was a substandard joke but at least his companion had some sense of humor. "Right. Try to hang on a little better though." The Devil peeked over the edge. "Back ways can be a pain."

The chasm closed it in them. It was filled with pitfalls and bumps leading to deeper, darker places. The wolf demon steeled himself though try as he might Felix's footing was continually caught in the vague outlines of passageway set before them.

The handsome man glanced back at Felix every now and again to make sure that he had not gotten lost on their way. Felix and his guide bounded forward albeit with Felix lagging a few paces behind. After much more walking up and down in the chasm color vaguely pierced the world. Shades of green and flashing lights blinked into existence. LooLoo Land came into view with its towering mountains of rollercoasters and a menagerie of smells. "There you go."

Felix shielded his eyes. "So, uh do you know where I can get hired on around here?"

"Yes, I do. Head to the front gate and ask for Mammon. The guy hires any sucker who needs a few monies."

He surely was any sucker currently. "Thank you, Satan." Felix snorted at their shared absurdity.

The demon waved off the compliment. "Don't mention it. I remember when I first got to hell. Everyone needs one maybe even two pick me ups when they get down here." The fallen angel rocked him. A hand found its way to the smiling man's shoulder. Felix tried to give his guide a wide smile matching his own but found himself unable and settled for a simple grin instead. "Any who this diversion has been fun though believe it or not I am a very busy man."

"I'm inclined not to believe you. You took me on quite the hike."

"Ah I knew you weren't a complete stiff." The man teased. "Keep that attitude until we meet again eh Felix." In a flash demons returned to the scene. The world picked up in motion. Felix and the spaces around him finally found themselves able to breathe. He took one last look above the crowd before turning his back and entered the park.

What could possibly be more fun than going to LooLoo Land? Lying in bed, listening to depressing music all day, listening to depressing music in bed, but Octavia settled on killing herself. Of all the places in all of hell that Stolas could have taken her he decided on this place.

The princess stuffed her headphones into her pockets as her chaperones opened the door for them. Her father said they were bodyguards however by the way Stolas has been conversating with the leader of the bunch she knew what he really wanted.

Stolas beckoned to her to follow him into the park. The teenage demon pulled down her beanie praying that this day would not be a total waste of time. Try as she might to ignore the rampant lust Stolas displayed her mother's angry voice rang in her head.

Stella was right in some instances. Surely, Stolas could have chosen anyone else at the very least a sinner or another overlord. Why this imp of all creatures? Blitz was no charming creature. No class, painfully average looking, yet in possession of something that her father found irresistible. He persisted to make that clear whilst he complimented the imp's anger. Each little interaction made her stomach flip. I'm going to throw up.

Millie and Moxxie brought up the rear. The latter was prepared at any moment to see that the princess would be able to enjoy her outing to the fullest. Octavia continued to ignore him as she tried to get her father's attention. "Howdy folks!" LooLoo hummed. "My name's LooLoo and I'd like to give you a big LooLoo welcome to LooLoo Land! Also don't go suing us! It'd be pointless! Haha!"

"Via it's LooLoo!" Stolas chimed. "My goodness they haven't changed the outfit at all!"

"I have a question." Octavia raised her slender finger.

"Of course, ma'am! Anything for one of LooLoo's guests!"

Octavia clicked her fingernails. If she was going to be stuck at this park all day while her father flirted, she was going to find fun. "Isn't this place just a shameless rip off of Lucifer's way more popular Lulu World?"

"I…" The mascot visibly deflated. "No! Not at all! Not! No way Jose!"

The girl leaned in. LooLoo put up his hands shrinking as she got closer. "Come now Via," the prince pushed his daughter closer to the man. "Let's take a little picture! Oh Blitzy!" Stolas handed his bodyguard a camera.

Blitz took the camera and aimed it at the three. The imp ushered for them to scoot in closer. Far too close for Octavia and apparently too close for LooLoo as well. "Sorry about this." The mascot whispered to her.

"Say LooLoo Land."

"LooLoo Land!"

Stolas clapped his hands. "Hohoho don't we look darling dear?"

"As much as we could standing next to a greaseball in a suit. It could have been worse." Stolas brightened. Mammon must have been hiring better help to have such an enthusiastic worker. The owl was sure that this would be the perfect starting point for a wonderful day with daughter and his plaything.

"Let's go check out some of the rides, shall we? Goodbye LooLoo!"

"Later folks that sure was fun! I sure do hope you have just as splendid a time in the rest of wonderful LooLoo Land!" the man pirouetted. "And to you little devils as well!"

"Don't talk to me!" Moxxie shouted pressing his thin fingers into the mascot's mesh. "I know about all the perverted things mascot types get up to."

The mascot started to talk only to end up dancing. "Have a nice day!" Suddenly a beeping noise emanated from the inside of the suit. LooLoo looked down to it. He rushed to a staffroom dismaying some of the other patrons who wanted his attention.

Octavia tapped her feathers. That debacle should have turned out far worse than it did. The mascot apologized to her for Stolas' antics even though he was clearly uncomfortable. They must have been missing a few screws. "Octavia what do you think of this one?" Stolas presented his daughter a shirt an apple graphic on it. She recoiled and glanced up to her dad's happy face.

The girl flourished her hand at the item. Stolas, giddy as a child, slid the shirt onto the counter. "If you get two, we'll give the other at half – price." The wolf demon mentioned. "You can give the extra to your daughter."

"No." Octavia quickly denied the present.

"Ah princess it'll look so cute on you! Don't you think so?" Stolas turned to the booth attendant. Octavia focused her glare onto the boy. If he had any sense, he would pick the right answer.

"Sure! Absolutely adorable!" Octavia frowned. How foolish of her to think anyone would be on her side.

Stolas fiddled his fingers and reached for a smaller size and gave the money. He slid the shirt onto his daughter and took her hand while the girl continued to glare as she was dragged away. "Thank you! Have a LooLoo day." Felix said. He went off maintaining a healthy distance from the pair.

As he made his way through the backways of the amusement park several imps were scattered around with weapons in their hands. Felix balked as they bared their weapons but before any side could act a swift shot burst through the air then one of the imp's body dropped. Blitz cocked his gun then returned to the shadows. "Watch your step."

Felix stepped over the body trying to gain a lock on Blitz but failed to find him. He figured that the bodyguard was only after the imps for his own reasons though he could not be concerned with that for now. Once the royals stopped at a booth Felix changed into his new hat. "Hello there! Would you like to play a game?"

Octavia's eye bulged. Again? Is there no one else working here? Octavia's gleam bore into him.

The boy ushered to the game. "Please take your shot ma'am!" Octavia sneered snatching the gun from him. The cork landed a few centimeters above his head dinging a target.

The owl prince had them stopping by as many stands as possible to eat all the greasy commoner food that her mother would disapprove of. Topping it off Stolas was insistent on playing as many games as possible to win her prizes. Aside from the ever-present employee Octavia found her chest growing warmer. Her father's displays were gauche and unbefitting of royalty, at least they were focused on her.

That was until her father opened his mouth for the lowborn hell creature. IMP's head was dashing all around them on a keen lookout for any ne'er-do-wells. Stolas had to fan himself. The way he snuck, and dove was nothing short of mesmerizing to him. Blitz was so captivating that Stolas barely noticed the cavalcade of imps raising him. "Oh Blitzy," the owl motioned. "I'm being absconded by rapscallions!"

Blitz shoot the largest imp making the rest scatter. "Hm," Stolas pressed a finger to his beak. "I know! Via look over there! Do you remember this place?" He pointed to a tent labeled, Fizzarolli and Friends.

Octavia and Blitz cringed from the sight. Flashes of their shared awful time in that tent resurfacing. "That damn clown." They croaked. The girl became more downtrodden regretting that their day would end in this fashion.

In the cramped theatre Blitz plopped Stolas next to his daughter. The unruly gang began to play their song. The prince was only half absorbed into the event flickering his attention from the band to his imp. Octavia felt herself prepared at any moment to jump out of the seat.

After hours of sprinting around the park, Felix took a moment to sink into the chair. The pager was silent for a few moments to permit him a reprieve. The pair of owls knew how to get from place to place and he needed to be at them all.

Felix could not guess if they were truly that shorthanded or if his employer was some sort of sadist. He figured that it was more than likely both. It was to be expected from tycoon types and most definitely of demons.

His employer, Mammon, made it clear that the royal Stolas and his daughter were to be taken care. "Mammon and Stolas…" Felix thought. He scrounged through his memories bringing up only faints images of books.

Checking his pager Felix trotted to his next summoned place to assist one of his fellow employees in a game. If this was anything like his other tasks he figured it was an unnecessary upcharge to the already criminal pricings.

Felix picked up the faint smell of char though he figured it must have just been food. LooLoo shuffled to the booth. Moxxie was foaming at the mouth. The charlatan he was funneling all his money to had to be cheating him somehow but eventually he would screw up Moxxie knew it. "Hello folks! It's me LooLoo! I heard you all might be having some trouble playing one of our fun games!"

"Yes! We are!" Moxxie growled. "You see I've been using this gun to shoot those targets for some time. I keep hitting the bull's eye yet as you can tell," Moxxie shot the target. "It won't go down."

"That's just plain crazy," Felix scooted behind the booth. "What am I here for?"

"Get this pipsqueak off my back and more money in the boss's pockets." The employee handed him a gun. "Take this thing and hit the target."

The wolf looked down at the counter where a small stack of bills accumulated. Felix rounded the corner and took aim dinging the apple. "Lookie here. Even an apple's got a one up on you little man."

"Are you kidding me!" The tiny imp gurgled. "This game's rigged!" Despite that simple fact Moxxie grabbed the gun.

"Maybe you might want to try somewhere else?" LooLoo suggested.

The booth host curved around the counter. "Hey LooLoo get lost would ya? You're gonna kill the profit!" He hissed and pushed.

Felix began to walk away from the scene. A twinge of anger ran up his spin. While he may have needed the money, he could still weasel a way to do what he wanted. Felix released a bolt of light as Moxxie struck the target. It sped through the wood. "Ha! Hand over that thing!"

Reluctantly the man did so yet as he did a small fire bloomed behind them. Ignoring that the tubby imp handed the toy to his wife who was the only one who noticed the origin of the blast. Felix booked it before Millie got her chance at giving thanks.

"I'll be in hot water if anyone finds out about that fire…" The flames were steadily growing higher in the park. Demons were running in terror from the fire and due to the gunplay ringing in the background.

"Your aim's shit! Just like your jokes B-b-blitzo!" Fizzarolli's robot clone cackled admist the chaos.

"Stand still you slutty clown!"

Octavia, in a hurry, swept through the crowd. She refused to acknowledge any of the passersby in her way even the costumed apple in front of her. Felix grimaced. The hunch in her posture, the heavy walking, and the wetness in her eyes.

Where was her father and why was she heading deeper into the park? Not that it was his problem. He was only there to get paid what good would helping a demon do him?

Demons were all miserable creatures. If they were not being ignored, they deserved ire. If not ire, then pity. Yes pity! Quite pitiable creatures those demons. Octavia however had shown to be somewhat different from most of the ilk he had been forced to endure that day. She was moody for sure but only as much as other girls he knew.

She was not all bad at least she seemed to care for her father. Yes, assisting her would be a small trifle for him and probably a life changing for the demon. "Can't let some goth girl wander around alone. Who knows what type of weirdos might try to get her?" he told himself.

Justified in his new course LooLoo followed the girl into an odd attraction. It was a fun house of sorts with halls of mirrors and apple themed rides. The demon synchronized his ears to the sound of tears hitting the ground. He found Octavia hunched in one of the rides pulling her legs close to her chest.

A worse surprise than her father watched her. It was the hound insistent on following them around. The only moment of the day that relieved her of him was in that tent and somehow things had only been worse from there. The flirting between Stolas and his bodyguard only amped up more and despite his calling after her father failed to keep up.

It could be that he wanted more cash. All the corporate types wanted it. Like a snow's moment in hell, her hope evaporated. "Want more money? Go find my dad." Octavia muttered.

LooLoo scratched the back of his head. He needed to handle this with tact. "Mind if I sit here?" The girl grumbled. "I take it you've been having a rough day."

"Your sensitivity training must be paying off well."

"Not really. All the ones I watched told us to squeeze every cent out of everyone we met. No stuff in there about being nice." Told Felix. "Nah I just like to help out pretty owls like yourself."

Now Octavia truly looked disgusted. Felix turned his head away biting his tongue. The girl stuffed her headphones into her head. "The dark decay. I feel so sad." Played through the headphones.

Felix snapped his finger. "What's that song?"

"It's called My World is Burning Down Around Me. By Fuck You Dad." She stated dismissively. Did he have to be so nosy? Surely, he had other people he could go bother.

"Oh…mind if I listen?"

Now he wanted to listen to her music. Octavia chucked the phone. If it would get him to stop talking and pestering her she was all in. The lyrics were very on the nose. "It's black and gray. I hate you dad. Catchy." He nodded. "Let me take a guess. You're fighting with your dad? Because he…cheated? And your parents are at each other's throats, and you're caught in the middle?"

"You just guessed that?"

"I'm a good guesser."

Octavia rolled her eyes. She rubbed her tears away with her sleeve. This boy had to be so insistent. "Can you guess who he's fawning over?"

"The red weirdo?"

She bobbed her head. "Weird, red dickhead more like. My dad was all over him like he was the last mouse in the field."

"Yeah. Remember though he bought you all that stuff, played all those games with you. It seemed, at least to me, that he was giving his best to make you happy. Even in this ripoff paradise."

"I was happy. When my parents weren't screaming at each other every hour of the day. Or when my dad wasn't thirsting after the help."

"The help?" Felix nodded. That accent of hers was peculiarly striking now that he could listen. The pager mentioned that the pair were royalty. What could being apart of demon royalty entail? "Might want to throw him some hints then. Guys can be oblivious to how their hurting others."

"What would that do? I already understand what's going to happen. He's going to run off and leave me."

"He doesn't seem like that type of guy."

"What would you know? Have you been sleeping with him too?"

"Whoa let's chill out there!"

A quiet click sounded; A ding reverberated next to Felix. He quickly put down his and Octavia's heads. He peeked to the entrance seeing red forms closing in on them with their weapons drawn. "Secure the princess sweetie!"

"Being royalty still has all the cons down here too. Stay here!" Felix hopped out of the ride. He kicked at the two creatures as they crawled all around. One immediately drew forward with their knife while the other backed away to use his gun. Felix's eyes shot back and forth to them before settling on the one with the gun.

As the shots rang Felix swung at him. Moxxie quickly crawled to his back ready to unload into his target. Felix quickly yanked the creature from him and tossed it to the ground. He struck the floor only to miss as Millie threw her full force into him. Moxxie shot at Felix's feet forcing him to dance. Felix dropped to his back smashing the imp assassin. Millie was stunned and in one swift motion Felix prepared to skewer her but stopped short as he felt a gun placed squarely between his shoulders. Barring that the prick of knife edged at his throat.

Millie sighed of relief. The blood rage drained from her eyes. "Wait a second! Moxxie it's LooLoo!"

"The swindler's friend." the imp sounded still unwilling to move his gun.

"Mox," She began. "He helped you get me this thing darling." The smaller imp's lip squiggled. Millie giggled. Her honey was always so serious on the job. "You get the princess." Moxxie rolled off his back while Millie kept her weapons steady. "Thank you for my gift darlin' but I can't have you messin' with our client." She said playfully bopping his eye.

"You're welcome? Any chance of you moving those?"

"Maybe." She enunciated. "Depends on what the girlie says."

"Yes, your highness we have her secure! Returning to you at once."

Octavia pinched the bridge of her nose and frowned. "You can leave him alone he didn't do anything." She ordered. Even if he had tried, he would not live to tell the tale.

Millie dropped her weapon in an instant and had to force Moxxie to lower his. Suddenly the walls ruptured half from the fire and half due to the enraged owl who ran through. Stolas covered in ash, broken rocks, viscera of imps, and sweat charged at his daughter. He wrapped the girl up in a hug twirling her in the air. "My sweet baby girl! Are you alright?"

"I'm fine dad." Octavia answered immediately. She preened the edges of her hair that her father had disassociated. His heart was da-thumping into her with the speed of a piston. He had been looking. "Dad…"

"Yes princess?"

"Can we-" she paused. "Can we get out of here. I want to go somewhere else…with you."

Stolas cradled his daughter in his arms. "Anywhere princess. Anywhere you want." Behind the father and daughter Moxxie and Millie were wiping each other's tears. Felix barely had enough time to admire his handy work as the pager rang to draw him from the scene. The sound of burning and metal clanging masked his exit.

The fires were still raging. Felix clutched the LooLoo land suit in one hand and a paper in the other. He tossed the suit aside before opening the letter for him. It had the word 'Fired' plastered at the top along with a long rave of insults about his incompetence. "Back to hunting." Felix hurled the paper ready to head back to square one.

Octavia having seen the display outside of the van rolled her eyes. Entirely dingy in dress as well as a commoner. He even had the audacity to try to counsel her. "Dad are they still on the clock?"

"They can be." Stolas said fingering Blitz.

She opened the door looking at the despondent wolf. "LooLoo," she shouted. "You need a ride?" Felix stood still for a moment, his body straightened, then he nodded.

"What?" the prince asked aloud.

"Double what?" Blitz yelled. "There's no way he's sitting in here."

"I agree Via can't we-"

Octavia ignored them both and raised her voice above theirs. "Come on."

Stolas rested in his chair. If Octavia was going to be so adamant on helping this vagabond, who was he to stop her. Sensing that the argument was already over Blitz had this to say. "Christ. He's going to have to sit in the back. The way back! And be careful not to touch anything I don't want those claws scratching up my stuff."

Felix climbed into the back. He bent his body to fit the space among the empty firearm and weapons. Octavia craned her back. "Settled in back there?"

"As much as I can be."

"Good!" Blitz floored it. The van bumped and rocked tossing the occupants all around.

Millie peered over the back at their new friend. "Ok you gotta tell me," She began. "What's it like being LooLoo?"

Felix raised an eyebrow. Surely, she still be reeling from their fight earlier. Or maybe she was trying to get something out of him? He noticed the glint of light in Millie's eyes. He was unable to understand why but for some reason he captured that he only wanted to talk. "Couldn't tell you much it. Only my first day." Felix opened. "There were a couple of sticky stains in there. Smelled like vomit."

"Pervert." Moxxie stated.

Then there was her partner, Moxxie. He was a well dressed imp if a bit stuffy. He seemed like he was putting on airs yet from the few interactions he saw Millie was able to calm his tendencies. "Those stains weren't mine." The sinner mumbled. "Not that it matters."

"Don't mind my husband. He don't mean it." Millie said snuggling her spouse. "Moxxie come on now be nice to LooLoo."

"Millie this fiend and his partner duped us. Furthermore, can't you tell how sketchy he is?"

"I'm sketchy?"

"Very much so yes."

"Hn."

Even though his words were scathing Moxxie softened at his wife's touch. "However, you did assist me in getting Millie this thing so I guess you can't be all that bad."

"Thanks?"

Stolas silently leaned back to get him a half view of the character his daughter allowed into the vehicle. The excitement from getting to spend time with both of his favorite people in the afterlife blinded him to the fact that a sinner demon was gallivanting in Greed. On a simple glance he could have been mistaken for a hellhound, but Stolas knew better. Octavia rested into her father's chest. He ruffled her feathers. Stolas smirked holding his child near. It can wait.

Blitz moaned seeing the happy groups. "I wanna see my Looney!"

- HeavenBound -

Back in Pride Felix climbed from the backseat. Millie was the first to happily say her goodbyes. "Take care of yourself LooLoo!" Such an energetic woman with contagious energy.

She was a charterer but Felix could not find the desire to damper her mood so he simply corrected her. "Felix."

"Yes, do take care LooLoo. Maybe find a more respectable profession perhaps?" Moxxie advised.

"And thank you for your kindness. All of you." Felix said. "Maybe we'll see each other around." He finished focusing on Octavia.

She only blinked at him. "Hopefully not too soon." Stolas said pulling his daughter closer. With a final scowl Stolas ordered the van to move. Once she was sure they were far enough Octavia stole one more look behind her.

Felix continued to wave until they were completely gone. His smile gave away. Was that really all it took? Some nice words and kind gestures? "What a day." He whispered in an abject manner. "Time to find a place..." Now that he paid attention this lot was overwhelmingly familiar. The same evil eye from earlier today was staring down at him although this time it was accompanied by all manners of illuminated rooms. On the ground he could make the slightest hint of forms pacing around.

The demon trekked to the door. Showing up at the same place had to be some type of blessing but more than likely an omen. Regardless Felix bolstered himself hoping for a different result under these conditions. He neared with a deep breath and knocked.
