(Opening shot: the city skyline in the afternoon.)

Narrator: The City of Townsville…where, when they're not cleaning up crime—

(As he continues, pull back to show the city framed in a window of the girls' house.

Narrator: —the girls are hard at work, cleaning up their beloved home.

Bubbles sweeps the dust out from underneath the lab table and collects it in a dustpan. After depositing what she has swept up in a trash can she surveys her work in cleaning up the lab. Giving out a satisfied sigh she looks proudly over at the Professor who has his back to her and is oblivious to her presence in the lab. Annoyed she floats up to him as he is busily toiling over a large electronic gizmo in front of him.

Bubbles said "Professor!"

Professor yelled "Aaahh! My gosh, Bubbles! You startled me."

Bubbles said "I'm sorry, I wanted to show you I'm finished sweeping up the floor."

He takes a cursory glance around the pristine room and goes back to his work.

Professor said "Um yes, very nice." Bubbles is a bit miffed at her hard work being ignored.

Bubbles said "Professor, is there anything else you need done?"

He barely hears her as he is so engrossed in his work.

Professor said "Uh ah, did you say something honey?"

Bubbles - said "Do you need anything else cleaned up?"

Professor said (not looking up) "Make sure you get the corners."

Bubbles gives out an exasperated sigh and is gathering up her cleaning stuff when she sees she has missed a spot on a metal platform nearby.

As she steps on it to sweep up the dust bunny with her whisk broom the Professor switches on the equipment he is adjusting. As it hums to life

Bubbles suddenly finds herself bathe in light and a tingling sensation washes over her. She feels dizzy and nearly blacks out.

Meanwhile the Professor makes a few more adjustments and switches off the machine he is working on.

Professor said "That should do it. Now to try it out. I need a witness though. Bubbles, want to see this new machine I made? Bubbles? Now where did she go?"

He walks out of the lab and up to the living room.

Narrator Meanwhile Bubbles tries to regain her senses, but her blurry vision makes her light headed.

Bubbles said "I think I'll go lie down. Maybe I've been working too hard."

She blindly floats toward the laboratory door. Up in the living room the Professor finds Blossom and Buttercup in the middle of their cleaning chores.

Professor said "Hey girls. Want to come down to the lab and see my new invention?"

Blossom said "Sure Professor."

Buttercup said "Does it blow things up?"

Professor said "No it doesn't Buttercup."

Buttercup said "That's no fun."

Professor said "Anybody seen Bubbles?"

Blossom said "I thought she was down in the lab with you?"

Professor said "She's not there now."

Buttercup said "Maybe she went out back to water her garden. You know how she likes flowers."

Blossom said "I didn't see her go by here. What does your invention do Professor?"

Professor said "Come downstairs and I'll show you."

They all go down to the lab and see a machine in the center of the room. In the meantime Bubbles is still trying to clear her senses and find the lab door.

Bubbles said "Where is that door?" Through the haze she sees the light of the open doorway so she flies in it's direction. As the kids walk into the lab a gnat flies into Buttercup's face. She tries to swat it away.

Buttercup said "Dang bugs."

Bubbles suddenly finds herself in a tornado-like wind as a huge object nearly collides with her.

Bubbles said "What's happening?" Flying quickly Bubbles makes it to the living room but everything looks strange to her.

Bubbles said "What is going on here? When did the Professor buy new furniture and why is it so big?" She warily floats upstairs and encounters the door to her room is as big as a building.

Bubbles said "I'm confused! Professor! Anybody, help me!" She floats up to the doorknob and can see through keyhole into the room. Flying through it she sees her bed is now as big as an aircraft carrier. She warily floats toward it and recognizes her Octi doll. But it is now as big as a brontosaur. She lands on Octi's hat and starts crying.

Bubbles said "What's happened to me?"

Narrator Down in the lab the girls watch as the Professor places a chair on a metal platform. Then he switches on the machine and the chair is bathe in light. And before their very eyes the chair begins to shrink until it is as small as a thimble. The Professor shuts off the machine and picks up the now miniscule chair. Then Blossom and Buttercup move closer to look.

Buttercup said "That is so cool."

Professor said "I have molecularly compressed this chair's mass to a much lesser volume."

Buttercup said "Say what?"

Blossom said "He shrank it."

Buttercup said "That's a neat thing to do. Imagine all the stuff you can make smaller. You could have a lot more storage space."

Blossom said "I was thinking you can carry more food for long space trips."

Buttercup said "I can carry a full course meal in my pocket."

Blossom said "Is food all you can think about?"

Buttercup said "Hey, I'm hungry and it's almost lunch time."

Professor laugh "Heh heh, okay Buttercup, just let me finish up here and I'll have lunch ready soon."

Buttercup said "Great, I'm starving."

Blossom said "Well if we could find Bubbles she can get lunch started and save you the trouble and we can finish our chores."

Buttercup said "I'll go look for her, you finish my chores for me."

Blossom said "Buttercup!" But she has already left the lab.

Blossom said "Sigh, she lets her stomach lead her life sometimes."

Professor said "Ha ha, come on Blossom. Help me clean up here and we can work on lunch. Buttercup can do her chores and yours after we eat."

Blossom said "Now you're talking."

Meanwhile Buttercup has gone up to their bedroom looking for Bubbles. Bubbles finally sees the gigantic Buttercup enter the room.

Buttercup said "Bubbles? Now where could she be?" Bubbles flies up to Buttercup's face and tries to get her attention.

Bubbles said "Buttercup! It's me, help me! I'm so tiny."

Buttercup waves the supposed bug away from her face with her hand.

Buttercup said "Bubbles? Where are you hiding?"

Bubbles goes over to Buttercup's ear and tries to shout into it.

Bubbles said "Buttercup! Help me!" But Buttercup tries to swat the bug buzzing in her ear.

Buttercup said "Dang bugs, I better get the flyswatter." As Buttercup goes to the hall closet Bubbles continues to follow her and try to get her attention.

Bubbles said "Buttercup, can't you hear me? It's me, Bubbles!" Buttercup gets the swatter and looks around for the bug buzzing in her ear.

Buttercup said "Aha, there you are. You're a dead bug now."

Bubbles said "Eeeek! No Buttercup, it's me!"

Narrator Buttercup chases the bug around the house trying to swat it. Bubbles stays ahead of Buttercup's attempts to squash her. Bubbles then sees an open window and makes a break for outside. Buttercup slams the window closed behind Bubbles.

Buttercup said "And stay out you filthy bug."

Blossom said "Buttercup, what are you doing? I though you were looking for Bubbles?"

Buttercup said "I was, I just had to rid the house of a buggy pest."

Outside Bubbles rests on a flower and catches her breath.

Bubbles said "Oh what will I do. Buttercup thinks I'm a bug and will try to squish me if I go back inside. I need someone to help me." The tiny bug-sized Bubbles sits there thinking for a few minutes.

Bubbles said "I know who...EEEKK!" A giant bee buzzes over the flower she is sitting on. She zooms off over the lawns of the Pokey Oaks subdivision.

Bubbles said "I hope Mike is home. He can help me, he likes bugs."

Narrator Soon she comes into view of Mike Believe's house. She zooms though the bushes toward his window when...she becomes entangled in a spider's web! She tries to pull free but she becomes more and more stuck in the sticky web. Then she sees the spider approaching, a huge hairy creature with it's mandibles twitching hoping to make a meal of the tiny Powerpuff Girl.

Bubbles said "NO! Stay away, don't eat me!" She struggles as the spider gets closer, her tiny screams for help can only heard by other insects nearby but none come to her aid.

Bubbles said "Eeee! Help! Stay away! Help me!" Then a large shadow looms over them. Bubbles looks up and sees...

Bubbles said "MIKE!"

Mike Believe is wandering around his back yard looking for more bugs to catch and study. Being of a kind heart he catches bugs alive and sets them free later. He suddenly sees something in the spiders's web.

Mike said "How neat, it looks like a tiny blue ladybug. I've never seen one like that. I got to study it."

He produces a small water mister and sprays the web around the spider with water. The spider withdraws from the wet mist. Then Mike takes a stick and breaks the web around Bubbles. He gingerly places Bubbles in a jar he is carrying and closes the lid. He goes back into his house with the jar of pill bugs, beetles, and a tiny Bubbles trying to get the web off of her. When he gets to his room he opens the jar and with a pair of tweezers removes the sticky Bubbles and places her in a petri dish. He pulls out a large magnifying glass to get a look at his latest prize.

Mike said "Wow, this is amazing. This bug looks just like Bubbles." Bubbles waves her arms at him and tries to make him understand.

Mike said "But that's impossible, how could a super hero like Bubbles get as tiny as a bug." Exhausted Bubbles sits down and starts to cry.

Mike said "Wow, I've never seen a bug cry before." Bubbles looks up at the giant magnified eye of Mike's, tears streaming down her face. In frustration she screams at him, her hypersonic voice waves shattering the magnifying glass. Mike is stunned. He pulls out another magnifier and looks at Bubbles again.

Mike said "Bubbles, is that really you?" Bubbles nods her head.

Mike said "What happened to you?" Bubbles shakes her head and shrugs her shoulders indicating the reason of her condition is a mystery to her.

Mike said "I got to get you to the Professor. He can help you." Mike looks around his room and sees his collection of small matchbox sized vehicles. He picks out a pink colored Volkswagen car.

Mike said "Here Bubbles, get in this toy and I can carry you in my pocket safely." She gets into the toy car and finds it a little big but she feels a lot safer. He puts the car in his shirt pocket and his magnifier in his back pants pocket. He goes to the garage and hops on his bicycle, pedaling as fast as he can he races to the Utonium home.

Narrator oh Mike hurry" Meanwhile the hunt for Bubbles is starting to take a serious tone.

Blossom said "I can't find her anywhere."

Buttercup said "Maybe she went out to play with some friends?"

Professor said "She would have told me she was going anywhere. And she doesn't leave her chores undone like that."

Blossom said "I'm worried Professor."

Then there is a knock on the front door.

Professor said "Maybe that's her now." When he answers it he finds Mike standing there, trying to catch his breath from pedaling so fast.

Professor said "Oh hello Mike. You don't happen to know where Bubbles is?"

Mike said "Yes, she's with me."

Buttercup said "Aha, so she ditched chores to be with you."

Mike said "No, something happened to her and she needs your help." Walking over to the coffee table he takes the toy car out of his pocket and places it there. He opens the door on the toy.

Mike said "You can come on out Bubbles, it's safe." They all watch a small blue bug floats out of the toy.

Buttercup said "Are you trying to play a joke on us? That's a bug."

Mike said "No look, see for yourself." He pulls out his magnifier and hands it to the Professor. Skeptically he looks at the bug and then he gasps.

Professor said "It is Bubbles!"

Blossom said "What?!"

Blossom and Buttercup both focus their microscopic vision on the bug until it becomes magnified.

Buttercup said "It is! What happened to her?"

Professor said "Oh my gosh, I think I know. She must have been standing on the platform of my shrink ray when I was testing it. I'm so sorry Bubbles, this is all my fault."

Blossom said "Can you unshrink her?"

Professor said "I certainly can, come on Bubbles, I'll carry you in the palm of my hand."

The kids all follow the Professor as he carries Bubbles down to his lab. They watch as he bends down and lets Bubbles jump down onto the metal platform of his machine. Then changing some settings and turning dials he switches it on. A light shines on the platform and Bubbles begins growing larger and larger. Finally she is back to normal and the machine switches off. Blossom rushes forward and hugs Bubbles.

Blossom said "Oh Bubbles, it's so good to have to back to normal."

Bubbles said "Thank you, at least I don't have to worry about Buttercup trying to squish me anymore."

Buttercup said "That bug was you? Oh gosh Bubbles, I'm sorry."

Bubbles said "It's okay, I do want to thank Mike for helping me." She goes over to him and kisses him on the cheek. He blushes and looks down, digging his toe into the floor.

Mike said "Oh gosh Bubbles, it was nothing."

Buttercup said "Hey, that was cool how Bubbles got shrunk. I bet if I was that small a quarter pounder with cheese would be humongous."

Professor said "There will be no more experimentation with the machine until I build safeguards into it. Can you stay and have lunch with us Mike?"

Mike said "Sure, I just have to call my folks." As they all start to leave the lab Buttercup hesitates and then goes back to the machine. Switching it on she then steps onto the platform.

Buttercup said "Say hello to mini-me!"

Professor said "Buttercup, NO! The machine is still set to enlarge!"

Buttercup said "Uh oh..." She starts to grow bigger and bigger until her head hits the ceiling. She becomes so big her weight crushes the platform and the machine shuts off. She is now over twenty four feet tall and hunched over, being too tall to stand up straight in the room.

Blossom said "My gosh, she's a giant!"

Buttercup said "I'm sorry Professor, please shrink me back."

Professor said "I would if I could but you broke the machine. It will take me several hours to fix it." A rumbling gurgle is heard in the room making everybody shudder.

Buttercup said "Ooh, my stomach, I'm really hungry now."

Bubbles said "I don't think soup and sandwiches are going to be enough for her."

Professor said "Sigh, Blossom, go to Maple's and buy a side of beef on our account. We'll barbecue it in the back yard and bring the cooked pieces down here to feed our oversized Buttercup."

Buttercup said "I'm going to be thirsty too."

Professor said "Get a bushel of lemons while you're at it, Blossom. We can make a couple gallons of lemonade in the bathtub. Bubbles, go get the garden hose so Buttercup can use it as a straw to drink the lemonade from the tub upstairs."

Buttercup said "Sorry about this." Another grumble from her huge stomach shakes the house to it's foundation. As the family goes to get what is needed to feed the giant Powerpuff Girl, Bubbles notices Mike grinning to himself.

Bubbles said "What's so funny Mike."

Mike said "You have the most interesting family."

The standard end shot comes up.)

Narrator: Once again, the day is saved thanks to the Powerpuff Girls! Don't step on me! Don't step on me!
