Fade to him at his trusty mixing bowl. He is bright-eyed, fully attired, and pouring sugar from a box.)

Narrator: Sugar!

(Fade to black, then to him adding spices from two shakers.)

Narrator: And spice!

(Fade to black, then to him stirring the mixture.)

Narrator: These are the ingredients that were purposely added to create the perfect little girls. And then…

(Close-up of a canister labeled "NICE" on a shelf. As the line continues, he picks it up and empties the "everything nice" assortment into the bow. The girlish laughter from this spot in the opening sequence is heard.)

Narrator: …the Professor added another ingredient—everything nice.

(The batch explodes, even though the Chemical X was never added to the mix by accident, throwing him across the lab. He fetches up in the corner and lies dazed for a moment. Close-up. He comes to and smiles broadly.)

Narrator: Pow!

(Cut to just behind him and zoom in on the area of the mixing bowl, which he is looking at. Standing on the counter are three girls who match the show's title trio in hair color/style and clothing. However, these look like normal kindergarten-age girls—including the presence of visible fingers, ears, and noses—and all have bright black eyes. L to R: the counterparts of Bubbles, Blossom, and Buttercup. "Blossom" wears the usual bow; "Buttercup" smirks to herself. They stand in a spot of brilliant white light from the bowl. This is possibly what the Girls would have looked like if the Chemical X was never added to the mixture to turn them into the Powerpuff Girls.)

Narrator: The Run of the Mill Girls were born!

(On the next line, cut to the background for the end shot. As each girl is named, she walks into view and takes up a position similar to her Powerpuff opposite number in the usual formation, instead of how the Powerpuff Girls appear through colored beams of energy. They correspond to Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup, in that order.)

Narrator: Using their ultra-normal abilities, Bertha, Beatrice, and Betty have dedicated their lives to just hanging around and doing nothing extraordinary!

(Cut to the background used for the girls in flight during the opening sequence. One by one, and in the previous order, the Run of the Mill Girls pull into view; each is riding a bicycle in her color and wearing a matching helmet. Now the Professor stands in the second-floor hallway of the house and points sternly The girls, standing before him, hang their heads sadly and walk away in that direction. Pan over to follow them as they reach the closed door of their bedroom and go inside.)

(They take up video game controllers in their respective colors, while a pterodactyl monster—a match to the one Bubbles faced during her level-11 training in "Bubblevicious," except for its colors—roars at them from the TV screen. Next, they are seen in the bedroom, still in their nightgowns after waking up in the morning. Bertha is painting Betty's toenails and getting her hair brushed by Beatrice. Bertha kicks a soccer ball, Beatrice serves a volleyball, and Betty hits a baseball. In these shots, each wears the appropriate gear for her sport. Betty's helmet bears the initials RMG, for Run of the Mill Girls.)

(The tempo of the cuts speeds up. Bertha holds up a paper with a B+ grade. Extreme close-up of her ear. Beatrice on the phone. Her hand. Mitch Mitchellson recoiling at Betty's attempt to kiss him. Her smiling face. The girls with their game controllers. Finally, the three stand triumphantly atop a pile of dirty dresses, as the real McCoys perch on a stack of defeated villains in the actual opening sequence. As the capper to this one-off intro, we see the familiar speeding blue background against which a new logo pulls into view. It is styled after the one in the genuine opening sequence, but reads "The Run of the Mill Girls" and does not have the three stars tucked into the bottom left corner. The words "Created by the Professor" appear below it, in the same fashion as Craig McCracken's credit in the normal title.)

enjoyed the story

Narrator; The City of Townsville… salutes its local government! Today, we honor the fine men and women who keep Townsville in working condition after every disaster, which is great for a city like this one! Such services include… local government, police, and fire department, wait, WHY IS THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ON FIRE?!

Indeed, for one reason or another, the fire department building had been set ablaze, and Miss Keane's class was running out of the building in an orderly fashion.

"Alright," Miss Keane said, "all we have to do now is wait for Major Glory to show up and put out the fire! While we're doing that, let's make sure everyone's here! When I call out your name, you say 'here' or 'present'." She started reading off a piece of paper. "Bertha? …Bertha? Beatrice? B-Beatrice? Betty?! BETTY?!"

Narrator Indeed, the Run of the Mill Girls were still in the building, with Beatrice searching through the flames to find her sisters. As she ran, she called out their names,

"BERTHA! BETTY!" BERTHA BETTY . She only stopped when she yelped as a piece of the burning wreckage fell right next to her, then resumed. "BETTYYYYY! BERTHAAAAA!"

"BEATRICE?" The voice was Bertha's.

"B…Bertha?"

"Beatrice?"

Beatrice could instantly recognize the silhouette of Bertha's bow through the fire, and the two quickly ran to each other, Beatrice immediately running into Bertha's arms. "Bertha I'm scared, I don't know what to do, I, I, I don't know how to get out, I don't know how we got lost, I…"

"It's okay!" Bertha said in that calm, assuring voice. "Just stay close to me. We'll find Betty in no time."

"O…okay, Bertha."

Bertha held Beatrice's hand as they ran through the building. The two began calling for their sister by name as they rushed head to toe through the building. Eventually, they heard Betty call back.

"Bertha? Beatrice?"

"Betty!"

But before they could do anything, a piece of the ceiling fell nearby the two girls, trapping them. Beatrice got scared and started to cry, while Bertha reassured her. "It's okay, Beatrice. Betty's here to help us." She then turned to Betty. "Betty, listen! Here's what I want you to do! Just listen to me, and…"

But Betty was already on her way, rushing straight through the fire and the flames to get at her sisters. She reached them and started grabbing on tight.

"What are you doing?!"

"Getting you out!" Betty said. "We're a bit strapped for time, remember?"

Betty, using every ounce of strength, began lifting them over her shoulders and rushing to find the exit.

Outside, Miss Keane was talking to a fireman. "What do you mean you're out of water?!"

The fireman, bored and quiet, responded flatly. "Hey, we only have so much water around here."

Suddenly, out of the smoke, Betty, covered in ash and soot, jumped out of the building with her sisters in tow, covered in slightly less ash.

Miss Keane rushed over to the three. "Bertha! Beatrice! Betty! Are you alright!"

Bertha smiled. "Aheh, yeah, we are now."

"It's over… It's over…" Beatrice said.

"All thanks to me!" Betty said.

Miss Keane smiled and, with a tear in her eye, said "You… you did good, Betty. I'm proud of you."

Betty smiled.

"Now, let's get back to the bus, everyone! We've had quite a day!"

Beatrice hugged Betty close. Bertha spoke to her, "Hey… thanks, Betty."

"You betcha," Betty said heartfully. "I am so never washing this ash off again!"

Narrator; Of course, late into the night…

"Okay, Girls, bath's ready, let's clean you up!" Prossfor said

"A bath!" Bertha and Beatrice said.

"…a bath?" Betty droned.

So Bertha and Beatrice disrobed and jumped into the bath (Bertha doing her usual swan dive in). They started playing around, and in no time at all got cleaned up. The two hugged each other in joy, and yes, the Professor was happy, too.

"Come on in, Betty!" Bertha said.

"The water's great!" Beatrice said.

Betty pouted. "Are you kidding? This soot is proof that I'm a hero, and I ain't getting rid of it for anything!" She then walked off. "Besides, only big fat sissies take baths, anyway."

Beatrice said "I'm not fat…"

Narrator oh boy The next day in Townsville was ever so slightly more normal. Beatrice was relaxing on the playground, having fun in the sand pit.

Suddenly, someone hurled mud at her. It turned out to be one of the small-time bullies.

"Please go away. I'm busy," Beatrice said

The bully kicked away Beatrice's sand castle. She started to cry a little bit, then got unexpectedly angry.

Suddenly, Betty stepped in. "If you want my sis, you gotta go through me!"

Indeed, the bully threw mud at her, and quite a lot of it. Betty simply licked it off her, spat it out, and smiled menacingly. She grabbed the bully and knocked him into the mud from which he used to torment others. She was practically dunking him in at that point. "Say uncle! SAY IT!"

"BETTY!" It was Bertha. She was not happy.

Betty said "Hey, he started it."

Bertha said "It doesn't matter who starts it. All you're doing is stooping down to his level! Now let him go and just walk away."

Betty said "Eh, whatever." She let him go free. "I won anyway, and I got the muck to prove it."

The school bell rang, and the class, including the Girls, started to walk home. Betty left puddles in the ground where she walked, while Bertha and Beatrice held their noses while behind her foul stench. "I don't know what's worse, her stench or her pride!" Bertha said.

Narrator Soon enough, the bath was running, and a toy boat was rowing. That row was disrupted however, by a massive object. A large giant, rising from the depths like those creatures from Monster Isle. A blonde creature, one who you'd mistake as almost human. And its name… was Beatrice.

Indeed, Bertha and Beatrice were playing with each other in the bath, having the time of their life. Betty stopped by, however, and disrupted them. "What're you doing? Don't you know you're just gonna get dirty again tomorrow? Geez…"

All Bertha and Beatrice could do is stare at each other.

Betty resumed her homework as the Professor walked by. Just one whiff of her, however, and he was overwhelmed by the stench. He ran outside and tapped at the window. "Betty, you stink, take a bath."

Betty said "And get rid of the proof of how I won? I'm never taking a bath! And if you don't like it, throw me out!"

He complied.

"Eh, who needs 'im." Betty said

The next day, the Professor drove Bertha and Beatrice out of the house. "Couldn't leave her out on her own?" Bertha said.

"You know how things are around here," the Professor said. "I just hope she didn't get too far."

Narrator: Not so: a slime monster was attacking Townsville, covering it in muck and ick. Betty had taken cover behind a mailbox that was slimed, then ran away quickly. "Gotta get to school, gotta move quick, gotta get away from the monster!" Unfortunately, she wasn't fast enough, and the slime monster grabbed onto her and swallowed her whole. She panicked briefly, then got an idea. She started batting at the monster's skin, just wailing on the monster non-stop. She didn't seem to be making much impact, though. However, her stench, the one the monster naturally had, mixed with the ones already on her to create a truly nasty smell, causing the monster to spit her out and run away in terror.

Betty said "I'm alive… I'M ALIVE! And… and dang I kicked that monster's butt!"

The Professor's car came shortly afterward. "Betty! There you are! I was worried about you when I heard the monster. Someone should really do something about that!"

Betty said "Someone did, and you're looking at her!"

Professor said "I… I'm not so sure about that, but I'm glad you're okay. Now, let's get you to school!"

"You bet!" She stepped into her seat, leaving a visible stain on it. Bertha, sitting in the middle, immediately moved to the side and held her nose.

Wipe to the exterior of Pokey Oaks Kindergarten. Inside, Ms. Keane is at the blackboard, which shows a bunch of grapes.)

Ms. Keane: Now, grapes are green— (She writes the word "green" below the picture.) —and what else is green? Grass, that's right.

"Grass!" the class said.

(The top of Betty's head passes behind her; fumes rise up.)

Ms. . Keane: Now an apple is red— (She draws an apple and writes "apple" and "red" by it.) —who can tell me what else is re—ewww… " The stench of Betty got to her, too, her lone eye focused on her.

"Sorry I'm late," Betty said, "the traffic was a real wallop!"

(Cut to Ms. Keane, now standing by the fire alarm switch with a twisted grin frozen on her face. It is clear that she wants to have nothing to do with Betty in her stinky state. She punches out the glass cover, and the alarm goes off.)

Miss Keane, said "Well, what'd 'you know, kids, a fire drill. Let's head outside!"

The kids cheered and filed out.

Miss Keane followed suit, holding her nose. "Betty, you stay!"

(Close-up of Betty pull back to show her alone in a roomful of empty desks. She's completely shocked by what's just happened, but realizing this is, more or less, the same thing her sisters and the Professor did to her, her mood quickly darkens in disgust.)

Betty pouted, then stepped outside. who need em?

Betty walked her way through the streets of Pokey Oaks, near a sewer surrounded by flies. The flies caught the stench, and flew away in terror. She then came across a man who was in charge of a sceptic company, his truck in tow. He caught the stench, and drove off immediately. "What is wrong with everyone today!" As she ran off, she passed the nearby apartments, the stench even reaching the higher floors.

Soon enough, the Mayor was answering phone calls. "Hello! Yeah, I smell it, who wouldn't! Hello, what'd think, I'm blind; of course I smell it! Ugh, where is that odor coming from!?"

"It seems to be coming from Pokey Oaks," Ms. Bellum replied.

Betty tried walking her way back home late at night. She suddenly heard a voice saying "there she is!"

An angry mob had caught up with her… and the Mayor was at the head. "Hello, little girl," he said. "It's a shame we have to meet on such dire terms, because as Mayor of Townsville, I must solemnly declare… YOU STINK! YOU SMELL! YOU REEK! You're stinking up the whole town! So either take a bath, OR TAKE A HIKE!"

Man said Enough talk!

Woman said It's bath time!

Betty soon found herself on the run. She jumped over a tree as she avoided a pair of attack dogs. She got stuck, however, on a tree, and the time it took to get unstuck left her face to face with the mob. "Give it up, girl! There's no way out!"

Betty looked scared, but then smiled. "Say… you wanna know how I got this stink?"

"Why the HECK do we care?"

"It's because I'm a winner. I may just be a normal little girl, maybe a little run of the mill, but I'm anything BUT a loser. I've been through situations people don't get out from… and I've gotten out of every one. So you want me? Come get me."

Betty stood confidently as the angry mob charged at her. And in no short time…

…Betty found herself taking that bath. "Rats."

Bertha and Beatrice scrubbed her closely, every inch of her making the muck just slide right off. They then dunked her in and pulled the plug on the tub, starting the process of toweling her off. They stood her up and continued to work on her, and finally topped it off by using an ultra-strength hairdryer on her to really get her dry.

In short time, Betty was in a pair of towels, one for her body and one for her hair. Beatrice commented, "Don't you feel better now that you're all squeaky clean?"

"Now that yer squeezy cleen, SHUT UP!" Betty said. "You just caught me off-guard, is all."

"You know, Betty," Bertha said, "you may be clean, but your attitude still stinks!"

Narrator Ripe you are, Betty, I mean, right you are Bertha! And so, another day comes to a close! and Goodbye, Run of the Mill Girls!
