"I have been Excommunicated" What?

Today has now gone form good, to bad, to absolute GARBAGE. "OK OK OK come in quickly" I say as I turn and let a bit of Excalibur's Holy aura wash over the room and give a stern look to the ladies still breaking my room. Everyone in the room gets the picture...Except Issei who apparently picked now to stand up only to be knocked on the back of the head by Rias. Thank you for once red head. They fix up the room and Xenovia sits down on my bed.

"OK now please tell me what happened at the Vatican" I say as she describes how she and Irina left and while Irina didn't know about the lord and was left alone Xenovia was not so lucky. Everyone else there already knew and did not take kindly to Xenovia knowing so she was cast out for that with the only thing to her name being another holy sword by the name of Durandal.

The only real question I have in this situation is a simple one. How can I understand her right now. I am pretty sure I am not Italian and I am also sure she is not actually speaking English and I never asked why before hand before she left. You have something similar to devils right now. You can understand words and writings of different languages so languages such as Japanese or Italian you hear or see will be translated to English. OH that is useful. Um. What? Does what she said not bother you at all? Oh it bothers the fuck out of me. I just don't have much faith in the Catholic Church so them knowing and throwing her out because SHE knows doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Oh... Hehe. UH. That would be an interesting meeting but lets not it would probably be a nightmare to go through trying to step around all the rules a Fae like Oberon would have. OH she is winding down the story.

As Xenovia ends her story at her coming to my Hotel room and I see her shivering "So I remembered what you said Alexander and came here" Ok so she gets thrown out and her first thought is to come to me, someone she barely knows? Well its either me or the Dem-Devils so I guess it is better for her to have come here instead. The story of Asia, Issei, and the look Rias is giving her screams opportunist. No Gremory you are not swiping a believer at her lowest.

"OK Everyone else wait outside" I say with as much authority as I can muster (Which is thankfully growing) "Me and Xenovia are going to have a talk" Rias looks at me for a second before her eyes meet mine as I try to drill a hole right through her with my gaze and shake my head NO. She reluctantly gets up and beckons everyone else to leave with a small scowl. Sorry demon you can take your fake salvation and shove it, you are not getting a new demon today.

I walk over to the bed after closing the door and sit down and before I can even open my mouth "How are you so calm?"

I stare at her for a moment "What do you mean?"

She shakes a bit before looking me dead in the eyes "You said you were a believer as well and told me to keep to the word. Yet I can barely keep it together. I even contemplated going to the Devils." FUCKING KNEW IT. It was a good idea to kick the demons out.

"How do you know I am calm?" She tilts her head "Remember what I said? I am one foot into a nervous break. I have just either had help over the past three days or have found things to calm me and let me think" She get closer at the words that someone has been helping me "

Who...who could be helping you get through...this..." I look at her for a moment...Make your Kingdom what? Remember what the lady said? Before you is a believer who is just as lost as you but you are a KING take her under you as a subject and help her or would you rather leave her out to be dragged into the dark by the Demons? A King can not show doubt, a King must help his subjects, and a King must be honest. Well be forced to care for her and lead her might help me cope as well to all of this and when there someone counting on you the pressure is on to not screw up or fail.

You Know what? Your right. I AM THE KING. so lest throw caution to the wind then. "Merlin" I say to her

"What?" she responds confused

"The Wizard Merlin. You remember the Boosted Gear and the Welsh Dragon within? He is somewhat the same with Excalibur and has been keeping me sane while teaching about the world, magic, basics of sword play, and keeping me together mentally. Without him I would probably lost my mind."

She stares at me for a moment before looking away defeated knowing she can't hear Merlin the same way she can't freely hear Ddraig so she won't know what he said to put me at ease and only jerks back to me when I put a hand on her shoulder and looks her in the eyes

"But He said something to me that I will now say to you. Look around you. Humanity still receives sacred gears, The system in Heaven still functions, miracles do still happen, and souls are still being saved. Just because he no longer roams this plane does not mean he is not still with us every single day." I get up and stand in front of her before reaching out my left hand to her. Lets see how this goes. "Even if you are unsure about everything I would not lie to you about this. I do not have all the answers. Merlin doesn't have all the answers. But I plan to get some, the only question YOU need to answer is weather or not you are simply going to give up after everything and fall into the dark or as I once did rage, rage against the dying of the light and resolve to belief and search for answers. So I am asking you, will you join me in the search? Join me until we can finally get us some answers. Together!" She looks at me for a moment. I keep my hand out to her not wanting to even move. I channeled everything I could into that little speech and I am confident that if anyone could see the turmoil in my soul right now they would see this as it is the equivalent of a mostly shattered, scared, and doubting man trying to convince a shattered, scared and doubting woman. and it would be laughable. BUT I AM A KING. I will not show doubt, I will help my subject, and I will be honest...and hopefully it will be enough. She looks back to my eyes and to my hand.

I open the door and the door to the demons outside and let them back in after another twenty minutes. I walk back to the bed and Xenovia. "Alright now if there is nothing else that you need Mrs. Gremory Me and Xenovia have much to do" She tilts her head and asks

"You AND Xenovia?" I stand and go grab my key and turn. "Yes, We will be moving to the abandoned church today and using it as a base of operations. Would you be so kind to help me set up barriers around it so no Humans blindly come towards it?" I ask and she is flabbergasted for a moment before looking at Xenovia who is getting up and getting ready to go and recovers

"Yes I think we can help a bit with that but that is really all we can do." I give her a warm smile of thanks and hidden victory.

"thank you Mrs. Gremory." I say as make a teleportation circle as everyone stares at me but Xenovia as she already knows where my magic comes from. "The we will meet you there" Me and Xenovia vanish in a flash of gold, blue, white.

[Rias Pov]

"how...when did...he knows magic?!" I am very confused. He said he was a normal Human before so how can he know magic?! Whats more the Insignia was the same as the one as the one on that chain and dog-tag he had that I don't remember him having before today. A dragon, Excalibur, and a lighting bolt?

"Uh HOW?!" Ise says what most of us were thinking as I turn back to them.

"Uh president didn't he said he was a normal guy? When and Where did he learn magic?" Kiba asks me just as confused

"ufufu it seems our little humans has lied to us" I look at Akeno

"It seems so" Ise was looking down at the ground "How can he use one and I need to use a bike...this is Bull" oh my poor Ise. "Well lets hurry along. It seems he has a lot of explaining to do" A lot indeed.

[Zander Pov]

"Alexander was that the best option?" Xenovia says to me wobbling. Yea she isn't used to teleportation yet. Need to fix that after we have sword practice. I help her regain her balance.

"First just please call me Zander. Don't need formality all the time and yes it was. With that they will start asking questions that they can't answer and will begin racking their brains for how much I actually know. Meaning they could make mistakes...Plus I like messing with people" Yep you and Oberon would definitely get along. Hehe. "It will also serve as a basis for them knowing they can't pull some magical wool over my eyes like they can a normal person. That will make them want answers but proceed with caution." I answer and look to the church. Good LORD it is a wreck. Well time to get to work. I reach out my hands and two magical circles appear. I set the parameters to what I want cleaned and fixed and send them at the church. I am thanking Merlin for the Idea to learn some basic utility magics as I turn back I see the Gremory group appear through there own red magic circle as my blue circles clean and fix the church.

"Well? Don't just stand there Gawking. Quicker be done the quicker you get answers." I say with a massive grin.
