"Oh you have got to be fucking kidding right now" I say more than a little angry "ISSEI! BALANCE BREAK AND LETS KICK THE SHIT OUT OF THIS LIZARD!" I say as I draw Excalibur.
[WELSH DRAGON BALANCE BREAKER!]
"I am right behind you!" Good! I use [Rapidly], [Nightmare], and [Destruction]. As I zip around the back of the dragon while making clones of everyone with Nightmare before firing of a wave at the dragon I don't expect it to do much to it but- "RROAR!" The dragon yells out as I see a...Mark? What the hell? Is this even a dragon? That is the former Dragon King Tannin. He was made into a devil to help his own kind. He is probably here to test you, which is also why Azazel acted the way he did. Teach this Dragon what a Pendragon can do!
Issei lands a hit on the top of Tannin's head partially cracking a horn before getting slapped down by him. The Asia is using healing on Issei, while Akeno is using thunder, Koneko is trying to hit the dragon but can't seem to land and my Girl Xenovia "HUUUAAAA"
"RRAAOOOR" Just smacked it upside the face with Durandal. Her sword does less damage than Excalibur by a long shot though as it doesn't even leave a mark. Then the dragon starts breathing fire.
Issei avoids most of it going for a Dragon shot and knocking the dragon off balance and not to be let behind I raise my hand and- "LIGHTNING STRIKE!" I smack the dragon in the face with a shot of lighting and since it was already leaning my strike sends it back the rest of the way and onto his back with a massive crash. "KEEP LAYING IT ON!" I order taking charge as everyone has been kind of just in sync more than anything since the start but we need to show some worth here "Issei, xenovia, and koneko get up close and aim for the chest and head! Akeno lay it on from a far! Asia on healing! Gasper!" I finally remember the shy little guy is here since he hasn't been doing much but hiding "Try to freeze him! any part of him!"
Akeno blasts Tannin with more thunder and then Ice not doing much but irritating the dragon, Gasper is trying to hold the dragon but his hold keeps getting broken, and our three close range fighters are getting hits in but Issei is the only one causing any damage and then my nightmare happens where the dragon opens its mouth "SHIT EVERYONE BACK TO ME NOW!" as the Dragon charges everyone get behind me as I step forward. What is the plan? A shield for protection and ruler to throw it back at him! ! Tannin fires off his meteor blast and I throw up a shield and roar to the Heavens "RULER!" As the blast gets to us it heeds my demand and shoots back at Tannin hitting him in the face and knocking him back over. Ruler is a treasure as it seems that unlike the others Ruler can punch WAY above our weight class and remain effective while doing so.
Tannin start to raise himself up again and he is actually scorched a bit around his head. EVEN HIS OTHER HORN CRACKED SLIGHTLY! But it seems we aren't meant to win this fight. Damn it. Tannin start to walk again towards us. "Everyone book it backward" Why is the general consensus but I just ask Issei "You want to feel the wrath of a king?" His eyes widen and takes everyone and runs...well almost Xenovia didn't hesitate to trust me and was already gone. I look at the dragon again "HEY YOU OVER GROWN LIZARD! DRAGONS RESPECT POWER AND DRIVE RIGHT?!" I yell to Tannin. This whole ordeal has been angering me a bit. Even after I told these imbeciles I am not part of any of them and I am really just in this because I want to they take that as the OK to do shit like this. WELL I WON'T HAVE IT! "WELL HERE IS MINE WRATH OF THE KING!" I yell as I drive Excalibur deep into the ground until I am on my knee as my magic activates.
First comes the rain which the dragon pays no mind to until Lighting bolts start smacking into him and electrocuting him. After a few strikes he steadies himself. He has a couple new marks but nothing fancy. Then comes the wind as EIGHT tornadoes touch down and start smacking into him scratching some of his scales up but not doing much damage beyond that but now he is on alert. The ground below twist and turn as a caver opens up and he is hit by a chuck of earth from the side of the ravine we had been fighting in and his leg falls in and traps him. He can get out easily and as he does just that. *BOOM* A massive fireball hits him, then another, then another and another, until one hits him that has...blue fire? this one hits and actually knocks him to the ground on its own. Tannin start to get up looking around for another round but when nothing comes he looks to me. I get up "I am ALEXANDER PENDRAGON AND THIS IS MY POWER!" I scream to him and the heavens as I fall face first to the ground. Passing out from using ALL of my magic on that attack.
[General Pov]
Tannin drops his act and says "Dragon indeed" He says as the others come to retrieve Zander but when the dragon is still standing they worry quite a lot.
"OK THAT IS ENOUGH" Azazel calls out from above looking down at Zander. He then explains what this was all about and why- *SMACK* Yep Xenovia hit him
"WE ARE NOT APART OF THIS! I THOUGHT HE TOLD YOU THAT!" She was not happy being treated like the devils when her Alex made it clear he was his own section of all this and was livid friends or not he wanted it made clear he might as well be a leader. Not like Issei who doesn't have a say in this matter
"OH calm down he most likely knew what this was thanks to Merlin" Azazel say without much worry or care for the hit.
"And if he didn't?" Xenovia asks. Azazel sweats at that. Issei grabs Zander and throws him over his shoulder.
"Lets just get back to the train and wait for him to wake up" Issei was annoyed as well but he was more annoyed at Ddraig for not filling him in on what this was. He was going to ask Zander if Merlin told him when he wakes up just to confirm
[Zander Pov]
I stir from slumber grabbing my head as I rise "ok that hurt"
"I bet it did" I hear someone speak. I turn...and a small dragon head is staring back at me. Tannin at our size...well he is still like 9 ft tall so...Our size enough
"Oh hey" I say
"So you did know" He says. I guess my lackluster reaction gave it away
"I did. Damn that Azazel taking me for a ride! Oh he will get it for this nonsense." Tannin chuckles a bit
"Oh he just wanted to test you all and I must say. You and the Red Dragon were most impressive already" I scoff
"Not enough to do more than dent or scratch you. If that counts as impressive than I need to be Exceptional at the least" He again chuckles
"OH I think that can be arranged" I look at him
"Oh really?" I say tiliting my own head.
"Well you did make sure the Dragon part of your name was headed. Thinking I may just test that. Hehe" Possible training with a dragon king? YES PLEASE!
"I will hold you to that then" He looks at me for a second
"You know dragon training is tough and could kill you right?" He says back to me. You can't fool me you testing dragon
"Yeah? Good. The more the merrier. I have the scabbard in me and it is designed to heal me up to tip top shape. As long as I don't die or lose an appendage I will be fine So can I hold you too it?" I say staring at him. You test me I test you dragon
"Just don't come complaining to me after we start" He says amused. Can't wait for this! If anyone can train you physically it is a dragon. I can train you magically and now we just need a swords-master. With that we would be completely golden.
Issei then enters after Tannin leaves and just asks "Hey did you know what was happening before hand?" I respond
"NO" He leans forwards and asks
"Did Merlin give you any ideas on who we were fighting and why?"
I look at him "After I realized I was leaving a mark and that the dragon was a devil Merlin filled me in that we were fighting a former dragon king and that we were most likely being tested.
"I KNEW IT. YOU REALLY ARE A WORTHLESS LIZARD" He then starts to presumably argue with Ddraig.
After a bit more riding we arrive at the Gremory estate and meet Rias' parents. The only resemblance to pops I see in Rias is in hair color to be honest. Her mom though? Yeah I can see it easily. We introduce our selves and have some dinner...well everyone else has dinner I booked it to my room to sleep and train with Merlin for tomorrow.
Tomorrow I train. Train to actually stand up to some of this world. People want to walk over me? Fine I will gladly do the SAME RIGHT BACK! Tomorrow I train with a dragon!
