Tokyo High School

It's 12:00, school was lively, but hearing the news about a virus is starting to come out which caused a lot of concerns from the students.

Outside the building, a schoolgirl is opening a packed lunch as she's preparing to eat her lunch near a football pitch.

"Itadakimasu." A long blonde haired girl is watching her classmates play together.

Then footsteps approach the blonde girl as it appears to be a brunette girl.

"Hey, prez! How's it going on your side?"

"Ah! Michiru-chan!? It's going great." The blonde one, Tanaka Ayase, answered.

Tanaka Ayase is the student council president of this school as well as a wealthy one who lived in the house of Tanaka.

Amano Michiru is Ayase's schoolmate, but was a year younger than the school president.

"Hehe! It's also great on my side!" Michiru giggled.

"Fu. You're still as cheerful as always." Ayase sighed as she's still relieved about her friend being safe.

"Well, what can I say? You're always busy with your duties and I was trying to help you out." Michiru then leans on Ayase's shoulder after reading the news about the virus.

After all, the world they live in is under a higher level of security due to the abyssals and other threats that's been happening for many years.

While Ayase is starting to eat her lunch…

She halted as she and Michiru heard voices from behind the gates.

And behind the gates are 3 kanmusus.

"Um… What is Tanaka-san like?" Inazuma asked out of curiosity.

"Oh! He's a nice guy. I'm sure you'll respect each other." Naka answered.

"Yeah. But he's also a very serious man. Why else would he fund our group for the sake of mankind?" Fubuki asked as she's uncomfortable with going through details.

"Because he's a wealthy man?" Inazuma answered a question.

"Exactly. Now let's hurry up and have a chat with old man riches over there." Fubuki sighed.

"Nanodesu."

After Fubuki, Inazuma and Naka passed the building…

Ayase and Michiru gasped with surprise as Ayase rarely heard about her family member funding a small group she never heard of.

"Did you see that?" Michiru asked.

"Yeah. Are these girls kanmusus? Because from what I heard, kanmusus are mechanical humans like cyborgs! Also why on earth would grandfather fund his money for them!?" Ayase is now confused, due to eavesdropping behind 3 kanmusus.

"Hm… Maybe he wanted to save the world?" Michiru assumed.

From what Ayase can tell, something is hidden behind her grandfather as she realised the kanmusus are walking past the school without her knowing and how her grandfather never told her.

"I'm going home."

"Hm? Prez? What do you mean?" Michiru asked.

"Just tell them I'm sick!"

Afterwards, Ayase took off as she's about to investigate those 3 kanmusus outside.

As for Michiru, she's now under the impression that the house of Tanaka could be related to the war against the abyssals.

The House of Tanaka

"There it is. Now all we have to do is to be respectful." Fubuki warned.

"Nanodesu." Inazuma responded.

With the trio starting their plan of action to go out and fight, they're paying a visit to the one who funded them.

Ringing the doorbell as Naka is waiting for a response, just like Fubuki and Inazuma.

"I'm not sure if I can do this…" Inazuma is getting queasy about the situation she's in.

"Don't worry, Inazuma-chan, we're here for you." Naka hugs behind Inazuma as Fubuki pats her shoulder.

Finally, a voice called through the speaker of the doorbell.

[Who is it?]

"Yo, Tanaka-san. It's us." Fubuki called.

[Fubuki-kun? Ah, Azure Ravens, come in.]

A voice then hangs up as well as clicking the door unlock, leading Fubuki to open the door and let Inazuma and Naka as well as herself in.

Behind the trio, Ayase is getting suspicious about 3 girls who're entering her house as she wants to know her grandfather's truth.

"Grandfather… What are you up to?"

Inside the building, a house is actually huge, leading Inazuma to be fascinated by the things inside the house of Tanaka.

"So huge…"

"You'll get used to it." Fubuki said as she's about to approach her destination.

During Inazuma's sightseeing, Naka plays with a fish in a tank and Fubuki is approaching the old man who was watering his flowers in his garden.

"Tanaka-san." Fubuki calls by saluting.

"You're right on time, Fubuki-kun. And I see Naka-kun is okay as well." Tanaka sighed as he's relieved to see the trio unharmed.

"Yeah. Also Inazuma's our new recruit." Fubuki said as she dragged Inazuma towards her and introduced her to Tanaka, the one who funds them.

"Um… It's nice to meet you, Tanaka-san!" Inazuma bows as she's trying her hardest to be formal.

"Hm… A new recruit. I was told there's something going on with you, Inazuma-kun."

"You mean my arm?"

"Indeed. May I take a look?"

Reluctantly, Inazuma raised her right sleeve as she revealed her bandaged arm. Tanaka then takes off the bandage as Inazuma's slender arm is all clear.

"Hm… I'll tell you what, we'll scan your memory cache and see what's going on with you."

As the four check out Inazuma's data all over her body, most of it is fairly mediocre, considering that she's a starter ship, until her right arm is next.

What the data shows is red and black boxes as it has no data on what happened to her.

"Interesting. Your right arm has something to do with the virus inside, am I right?" Tanaka asks.

"I mean… I remember seeing a virus downloaded inside of me like it remembers me as the abyssal king. But I'm just a kanmusu, not an enemy." Inazuma explained what happened yesterday, leading Tanaka to let her go.

"Fubuki-kun, stand in front of Inazuma-kun." Tanaka suggested.

"Eeh!? Why!?" Fubuki exclaimed.

"Just stand there."

"R- Right…"

As Fubuki does what she said, Inazuma can feel a silver wave coming out of her right arm as it surprises her.

"Now, sink your hand onto Fubuki's body!" Tanaka ordered Inazuma to do it.

"WHAT!?" Yelled Fubuki.

"Oh my!" Naka too is surprised to see what Inazuma is about to do.

Gulping and then sighing, Inazuma was still full of reluctance, then she instantly rushed towards Fubuki by raising her right arm.

"Please forgive me, Fubuki-san!" Inazuma shouted after closing her eyes.

"Wait! Wha!?"

Finally, Inazuma swings her fist upwards as it feels like punching Fubuki through her gut, but successfully sinking her hand into her torso.

"GAH! GAAAAH!" Yelling out in pain, Fubuki can feel something squeezing her chest so hard that the pains are far worse by her infected left arm.

The silver waves are forming into crystals as Inazuma's data had revealed an ID on her tablet. The waves are also coming out of Fubuki's torso.

"I'm… Not a… Potato…" Fubuki is no longer conscious after Inazuma releases her arm out of Fubuki's torso.

Finally, Fubuki drops to the floor.

Now Inazuma's arm is covered in crystals as they're shattering into a fairly large model of a destroyer Fubuki.

[Data received.]

After that, a Fubuki model had materialised itself into a smallest item as it's a creature coming from Inazuma like a tail of Re-class, except way smaller and cuter.

"Rah! Rah!"

"Woah…" Naka admires the beauty of an abyssal that Inazuma received.

"Hawawa! Did I kill her!?" Inazuma exclaimed.

"Relax. She's still alive, she's just unconscious. I didn't know Fubuki-kun wanted a pet of her own." Tanaka is surprised to see what Fubuki's heart was about.

"Man, I'm jealous! But I'm also glad that I don't have stuff like this!" Naka sighs with relief.

"But am I really the king? I'm just a kanmusu." Inazuma asks as she wanted to know.

"I bet they're trying to sabotage you, just to kill you!" Naka is getting suspicious about a certain virus that Inazuma received.

"No… It's because someone was previously the abyssal king. That's why someone sent that virus into her data by making her like this." Fubuki grunts as she's pushing herself from the floor after feeling that much pain.

"Fubuki-kun's correct. If there's more research on stuff like this, then we might take advantage of this virus." Tanaka said. "Inazuma-kun, make sure to use it carefully."

"Y- Yes sir, nanodesu!" Inazuma bows.

To Naka's surprise, the abyssal king is actually real, leading her to worry about their future.

Afterwards, Fubuki, Naka and Tanaka are standing in front of Inazuma as Tanaka hands out a paper for Inazuma to read.

"We're Azure Ravens, the combined fleet girls reunion project. Our main goal is world liberation."

"Eeh!? For real!?" Inazuma is surprised that she's getting mind-blowing and mind-boggling moments in this stuff.

"That's right. Even if you're no longer needed, you can still fight for the world itself." Tanaka answered.

"I don't know. What if I get someone hurt?" Inazuma is still unsure about joining the group.

"And you're still at it again! Come on, Inazuma, we have no other choice! It's kill or be killed and you want to be killed by the enemy?" Fubuki sighed as she reminded Inazuma to fight or sink.

"I know, but…"

"Like I said: we're always here, no matter what. We're fighting a losing battle, so let's do our best." Naka embraces Inazuma, knowing that they're struggling with less resources, but still fight harder.

"Naka-chan…" Inazuma can see why Fubuki and Naka need her, because there's an advantage that the abyssals are vulnerable to themselves. "I'll try, Fubuki-san, Naka-chan, Tanaka-san. I'll do my best."

"Good. Now, we must prepare ourselves. The abyssal fleet are surrounding the survivors who migrated on a ship."

"What!?" The trio gasped.

"But I thought they're safe!" Naka exclaimed.

"I thought so too. I guess they're smarter than you'd expect." Tanaka said.

"Now what?" Inazuma asked.

"Looks like there's no other choice. Tanaka-san, fill us please!" Fubuki requested.

"Hmph! No problem! I'll get your fuels and ammunition ready for the three of you!" Tanaka accepts as he's pulling out a canister of oil and a box of shells.

That means they have more than enough time to start a mission to save those who're about to be purged.

"Let's go, everyone!" Fubuki ordered.

"Roger!" Both Naka and Inazuma are also prepared to go out and fight against those who're hurting the innocents.

Finally, the trio are rushing to the door as well as equipping their riggings to prepare themselves.

Afterwards, watching the kanmusu trio rushing past as Ayase found out the truth of her grandfather and the virus, leading her to confront Tanaka himself.

"So you found out about my secret, Ayase?" Tanaka asked.

"Yeah. Why, grandfather, why're you funding those who're dangerous? Especially when one of them is a carrier of a world threatening virus?" Ayase asked in a bitter tone as if her grandfather is getting humanity killed.

Tanaka isn't the type that goes directly towards his granddaughter and Tanaka witnessed his granddaughter skipping school today as a student council president.

"I have to do this. The world truly depends on them. After the loss of those who actually fought, these kanmusus are our only hope." Tanaka closes his eyes as he's standing by his garden door. "As for the virus, whoever inflicted this upon Inazuma-kun, they'll pay for what they have done."

"But why them?" Ayase asked as she still wants an answer from Tanaka.

Tanaka sighed as he had no other choice. "Remember the abyssals?"

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"They're starting a purge."

After the answer, the atmosphere around the duo is getting chillier as Ayase slowly gets suspicious.

"Wh- What do you mean?"

Then Tanaka turns on a recorder which was the evidence from yesterday.

[This is Anchorage speaking! Since no one's bothered to compromise, we're gonna start purging not only the kanmusus, but the civilians included! I repeat, those who don't compromise will be purged! Do not let them migrate!]

[Roger!]

"Huh!? Is this real?" Ayase gasped in shock after witnessing what the abyssals were doing to the innocents.

"Someday, you might learn the truth behind the ugly side of humanity and the navy itself." Tanaka gives out some advice as it scares Ayase.

In the end, Ayase is now conflicted when it comes down to the kanmusus and their usefulness to save mankind from a certain threat.

Later in Shibuya at 17:35, Ayase is unsure about the situation with humanity being the victims of this virus, despite being protected by the Japanese police and military officers.

"Hm? Is there something wrong?" A voice asked as it appears to by Michiru.

"Ah! Michiru-chan! It's nothing!" Ayase is trying to forget about what happened earlier as she's worried about humanity's priorities.

"Hm? You look pale. Is it about the kanmusus?" Michiru asked out of suspicion.

"Eh!? N- Not really, I know we saw them come over to my family's house, but I'm actually sick." Laughing it off as Ayase tries her best to keep her cool.

"Maybe it's got something to do with the abyssals." Michiru opened her mouth as Ayase gasped in fright.

Then…

"I mean, the abyssals are getting dealt with by kanmusus." Michiru is still believing in kanmusus as she's not like other people who no longer trusts them as they're already obsolete and dangerous.

"Really now… Hey, Michiru-chan, what is your opinion on the kanmusus from around the world?" Ayase asked.

"Hm? I think they're absolutely badasses! I always wanted to be one in real life!" Michiru answered as she's dreaming about being an advanced human with warship parts.

"But what about the treatment they get?" Ayase asked another question.

"Hmph! People are just out of touch. Even they believe in those who abandoned our only hope!"

With the duo sighting a large crystal from yesterday as it's surrounded by a group of hazard suits.

"The virus. It's unusual." Michiru sighed while unfazed by a large infectious crystal.

"It's very fatal. So it's for the best to leave it." Ayase said.

"Okay! Tomorrow's our day off, so let's hang out someday!" Michiru cheerfully suggested.

To Ayase, there's nothing to worry about as well as be aware of what's happening, she'll make sure to not worry and enjoy her time with Michiru.

But she still wanted to know how useful those girls were.
