As the demon comes near her, her fingers twitch, waking up slowly. Ecstatic, drooling as his prey woke up. 'Now, this is exciting!' shivers run through his spine, as his eyes widened, amused at her ignorance and anticipating her fear.

Pushing herself in sitting upright, leaning on her shoulder for support whilst groaning as her body ached. Her other arm caressed her head - feels like she suffered from a hangover; yet aware of the demon near her.

"Hey, woman!" calling her attention as her body stiffen, her raven hair covering her face, not emitting sound before raising her right hand out towards him which the demon mistook for cowering. Chuckling, the demon looked insane enjoying his 'free meal' before pouncing, unbeknownst to him, the hand stretched out slowly glowing, fingers releasing a concentrated pure energy before manifesting them into a whip-like structure. The lower demon who pounced finally sensed a strange aura from the woman, his eyes widened as fear took over his body, his instinct telling him to run from the unknown power yet he resolved to attack at the last minute before shouting threats of devouring her flesh.

"Idiot…" a whisper carried by the wind was the last thing the demon knew before his body was separated into pieces, slowly turning to ashes. Behind her fringe, her blue eyes with golden rim were glowing, symbolizing her power. As the last ashes of the demon were blown away, she slowly dropped her arm, panting as her power subsided with the last drop of rainfall, sighing.

"Another unknown era…"

Out of breath, his knuckles went white from gripping the hilt tight. Sweat running down from his temple as he felt the pain from his body got worse, yet his resolve to fight is strong. Ruby eyes locked with similar ones, the blood art of the demon controls the mansion thus, hindering him from attacking closer.

'Come on, Tanjiro! You're the eldest son, you can do it.' repeating his mantra, as he felt that his body is getting sluggish from broken bones. Narrowing his eyes, 'Total breathing concentration…' hearing an attack, he leapt whilst controlling his breathing.

"Ninth Form: Splashing Water Flow, Turbulent"

Looking blankly at the place where his mother figure had gone, tears continued to fall on his cheeks, not caring for anything. At the shout of his comrades came nearer, not a twitch or sound came from him, the trauma engraving in his mind. Green eyes slowly dimmed as if his soul was gone with her.

A familiar youki landed behind him, hearing the loud voice of his friend. "HEY RUNT!" Behind him was a half demon-human wearing a bright red hakama and kosode, shouting to announce his arrival and get his attention yet his small stature stood up with his back facing him.

"Where's Kagome?" he demanded, not seeing their precious friend or even sensing her scent within their place. Staying silent, his friend felt the seriousness of the situation as his yellow eyes narrowed at the young fox, his fang peeking out of his mouth, feeling irritated by not receiving any answers.

"Shippo." Trembling lips open as he emits words in whisper still his tears flow.

"Inuyasha, she's gone…"

Running in the woods, her bare feet bleeding as she would step on rocks and sharp objects from the ground. Her legs burning whilst her lungs as well from out of breath, panting from taking down many demons. Exhausted, she knew her strength was waning and her powers dimming from the lack of food and water.

'I'm at my limit,' she mused as her vision was beginning to blur. Behind her, chuckles and growls were heard, enjoying her futile escape.

'Come on Kagome, just a little bit', convincing herself.

'Soon…'

"What do you mean, Shippo?" muttering said words with growl, his eyes flashing from red to yellow controlling his sanity. Small nose twitch as a familiar stench emits from his friend, frightful green eyes look at him before slowly backing away. "I -, he began before a growl was heard coming from the air catching both of their attention, looking up to see a two-tailed demon cat with passengers on her back.

Landing down on the field, one was a monk donned in an expensive purple robe holding a golden staff while the other was a slayer with a large boomerang strap on her back, despite their injuries both faces were painted with joy upon seeing their friend, however, it went gone easily seeing their morbid expression.

Understanding the situation, a pair of brown eyes went wide before running towards Inuyasha, clutching his robe whilst he looked down. Purple eyes looked at her, as his knuckles turned white from his tight grip.

'No!' she mused, her eyes with anguish whilst tears fell down her face.

After defeating the demon Kyogai, Tanjiro went back to the children and escorted them out of the mansion. His nose twitched as he scented blood from the air, before running towards the clearing only to see a man with a boar mask from earlier beating up his comrade whilst protecting the box he left behind.

"Tanjiro…I protected your box, because you told me that this is more precious than anyone else"

His eyes widened at the scene, body trembling from the rising anger he felt before locking with bruising pairs of golden eyes. At those words, his breathing changed before lunging forward…

"Damn it.." she cursed, her face red from running whilst her top drenched in sweat. Her vision blurred as she felt her body slowly getting heavy from fatigue when her foot tripped on a root, stumbling on the ground while groaning from the impact she received.

'Why is this always happening to me?!' stretching her arms to push herself up yet unable to do so before resolving to crawl just to get away from the demons still chasing her. 'Just a little bit…' her brow frowning as blue eyes seeing dark spots mixing in her visual field, still crawling before everything went black.
