Black winced, trying to keep the bullet wound on his arm from bleeding all over the place as he crouched behind one of the shipping containers. After reaching the shipyard, the teen had lost the thugs, stuck hiding with his shoulder making him just walk to curl up and pass out.

Only he didn't have that chance as he was still being hunted by these guys.

"I got in touch with the boss, he's coming down himself" he overheard one of the thugs speak as he kept himself pressed against the side of the container, hearing the footsteps disappearing before he breathed a sigh of relief.

Great and their boss was on his way too…just great.

Hearing more footsteps, Black crept around the container, keeping himself as quiet as possible. Why couldn't they just leave, he didn't even have the money anymore. And the fact he lost his cards made him wince, a faint annoyed feeling in the back of his head telling him that his cards weren't happy about that little fact.

His foot hit the edge of the container by accident, making a low creaking noise as he froze in place. His eyes widened as the footsteps grew louder. Before the person could round the corner, Black lunged forward, his bleeding shoulder hitting the person directly in the chest as he took off running.

"Get him!" the other thug yelled, chasing after the teen as Black rounded the next corner, trying to lose the two thugs behind him. Only to miss the one standing in front of him, a solid punch hitting his jaw as he was slammed into the ground.

Before he could even think to get up, the thug stomped on his bleeding shoulder, Black just biting back a scream of pain as the man dug his heel into the wound.

"Lets get him to the warehouse, make him nice a presentable for the boss" the thug sneered, kicking the teen in the stomach for good measure before the other two grabbed him, dragging him roughly through the shipyard towards an abandoned warehouse.

By the time Black had regained some sense of where he was, he was chained to an old chair, one of the thugs standing to his right as the other waiting by the door. Shaking his head, Black could feel the horrible headache forming, taking note of the now badly bleeding bullet wound in his shoulder.

Not a great night that's for sure.

Wincing painfully, Black watched as one of the guys answered his phone, nodding to the door as the other two moved to keep their eyes on him. Why? No idea, he's stuck in a chair it's not like he could do much.

"Well, well, well, looks like I get the meet the man of the hour, my boys give you some nicer hospitality" a voice spoke up, drawing Black attention as he spotted a very…buff looking man walking into the warehouse, his head in a clean smart cut and…why was it shiny.

"I'm hammerhead, and you" he paused in front of Black, before promptly kicking him in the chest and sending the chair flying backwards as he landed on the ground in pain. "Cost me a lot of money tonight" he finished with a growl, nodding for one of his thugs to right the chair again.

"See, I don't care who you are, that fight was going to make me enough money to enjoy myself a little" the man sneered walking towards one of the thugs as he handed him an old tommy gun.

Well shit.

"But you had to come along, beat my fighter, take all of the money, and left me with nothing…so I'm going to ask this once punk" Hammerhead sneered, walking forward and pressing the gun to Blakc's head. "Where did you stash the money, and you get to keep breathing"

"Can barely do that after your idiots shot me" Black joked back, instantly regretting it as Hammerhead punched him in his wounded shoulder, making him hiss in pain. Hammerhead laughed at him, keeping his gun by his side as his thugs surrounded the teen.

This was not going well.

Gwen landed in a crouch, her eyes narrowed in frustration as she couldn't see anything out of place in the shipyard. She already wasted enough time getting here and now the trail went cold.

Without any way to find either the thugs or Peter, Gwen felt even more useless than she ever did. Growling to herself, the spider girl launched herself forward, wedzipping across the containers trying to find any sign of Peter.

She wouldn't lose him again.

A faint cry made her pause, redirecting her swing towards the noise as she came towards a warehouse on the off side of the shipyard. Landing on the roof, Gwen winced as she picked up someone punching someone, a muffled cry making its way to her ears as someone else laughed.

Crouching towards one of the windows, Gwen's eyes widened in fright as she spotted Peter, one of the thugs backing away from him, wiping blood off his fist. Peter himself was not looking good at all, his face bloody and bruised, his shoulder bleeding horrible and his body shaking as he spit out blood onto the floor.

"Just tell me where the stash is and you get out of here kid~" the mod boss looking dude said, sauntering up to the teen before smashing the butt of his tommy gun into Black's cut, making him cough up more blood as he bit back a scream of agony.

Gwen couldn't take it anymore as she jumped back, firing two weblines and using them to launch herself through the window, landing a clean and very vicious double kick onto one of the thugs, knocking him out cold as she moved to take out the next thug.

Hammerhead rounded on her, firing his gun in her direction as she leaped to avoid the bullets, rolling under them next as she shot a web at it, clogging up the gun. With a growl, Hammerhead charged forward, aiming to hit the woman just before she landed on her feet.

Twisting mid air, Gwen kicked off the man's head, wincing as she landed on the far wall, shaking her foot as if she just kicked a steel wall. What was this guy's head made of? Avoiding a bullet from one of the thugs, Gwen launched herself to the ground, rolling in her landing before kicking up, hitting the guy's chin as she sent him flying into the wall.

Normally she would be holding back but…these guys deserved the broken jaws for touching Peter.

Turning to get the next guy, Gwen froze as one of the thugs had grabbed hold of Blcka's hair, holding his head up as he pressed the barrel of his gun into his temple. "Now that's more like it" Hammerhead said, clapping slowly as his thug grinned, keeping the gun pressed firmly against the teens head.

"If you move, the little guy dies, now on your knees" Hammerhead ordered as Gwen growled, trying to think of something, anything to help get the two of them out of this. "Now girl!" the thug beside Black yelled as Gwen slowly got down on her knees.

"She's got a nice body, boss, mind if we…" the thug behind her spot, eyebing up her suit as Gwen felt sick listening to them talk.

In the chair Black's eyes opened slightly, hearing the man's words as he saw Gwen kneeling on the ground, and for once he wasn't getting headaches from looking at her. Instead he was feeling angry, angry at how these thugs were talking about her.

And what they planned to do with her. All because she was trying to save him.

A fire burned in his pocket in response, the teens eyes gaining a faint red glow that went unnoticed as the teen fingers to reach for his pocket.

"Why not, it's been a while since I got anything good" Hammerhead laughed looking Gwen up and down as he thought about what he could do with her. "Let's get the money after we teach this bitch her place" he added with a sneer, only then noticing a heat building up in the warehouse.

"I know you dont like me" Black thought inside his hea,d feeling the edge of the black card in his pocket, a heat almost making him pull away, only to keep going further to grab it. "But I need your help" pressing his fingers onto the card, Black could feel the intense star the card was giving him.

The image of the red eyes dragon leering down at him, watching him carefully before a blew a small fire towards him.

"Make them pay for touching whats ours" was all he heard as a familiar feeling of

"Boss" one of his thugs said uncertainty, looking towards the chained chair as the thug holding Black didn't seem to notice.

"This kid ain't normal" the thug mumbled as he felt the heat radiating off of Black, the finger on the trigger of his gun tightening as Gwens spider sense exploded, making her realise the man had pulled the trigger already.

"Peter!" she screams, watching as a blazing inferno engulfed the teen, blinding everyone in the room as a bullet…hit something metal?

Instead of the corpse of Black laying on the floor with his head blown in. a talle, black metal dragon was leering over the thug that had shot the bullet, its metal plates body glinting in the darkness of the warehouse, highlighted by light grey plates along its body, vicious talons and claws as its wings sported a set of engine exhausts.

And its red eyes…

If Gwen was in anyway more girly she might have swooned at his eyes. Not the time Gwen, not the time.

Jerking his jaw to the side, red eyes spat out the bullet, hitting the ground before he shifted. And sent a clawed fist into the thugs chest, sending him flying into the wall with a crack, falling to the ground completely knocked out.

Rolling his shoulders, the dragon turned to glare the the two remaining thugs, before eyeing Hammerhead as the mobster looked alot more nervous now that at the start of this little torture session.

Oh he was going to enjoy this.

The engines on his wings ignited, making the three thugs flinch before the dragon crouched lowly, growling to himself as he eyed them…waiting for one of them to move first.

"Ugh bos…I think…" the thug didn't even get to finish his sentence before red eyes was on him, skidding to a half as he grabbed the thug by his face. The man didn't even get to scream as he was tossed into the other one, both of them flying into the wall. Red eyes was half tempted to incinerate them for their comment about Gwen.

Maybe later.

Turning back towards Hammerhead, the dragon jumped into the air, avoiding the man as he tried to charge into him. Landing on the ground, red eye turned, his engines igniting with a red flame as he launched himself forward, shoulder charging the mobster and sending him through the wall of the warehouse.

With a snort, red eyes turned to see if anyone else was still awake. Only to be tackled by the white clad spider as she totally didn't cry into his chest. And any time he tried to bring up that fact he was kicked in the head for good measure.

Women are angry when embarrassed.

"Oh thank god" Gwen said, holding the dragon tightly as he sat up a bit, looking down at the girl as she placed a claw on her back, his eyes softening slightly as he realised how worried she was for him.

Snorting slightly, the dragon let her hold him for as long as she needed, filing the idea to ask her about the name she kept mentioning in her mumbling.

Who was Peter?

"I just, god I was so sacred when the gun went off, but like, holy fuck you look awesome, and to think I didn't want to see this dragon" Gwen said, sitting up as she gushed over his metal form.

Did…did she not realise the position they were in?

Wait…there it is.

Gwen froze as she looked down at the dragon, to his chest…then his waist. That she was currently straddling like she was about to give him the ride of his life. Which she totally would cause she is amazing but…bad Gwen not the time.

"Okay…let's not speak of that" she muttered, climbing off of the dragon as red eyes climbed to his feet again, giving her an amused snort as she shot him a glare. "So, can you talk at all in this form?" she asked, waiting for a response as the dragon raised a metal eyebrow at her.

"New…jaw, hard…to use" he muttered out in a growl as Gwen nodded, watching as the spikes on the side of his jaw seemed to be more for damage than actual talking.

"How did all this happen anyway, you had me worried since you disappeared for a week! A week Peter!" she said, shouting at the dragon as she looked at her in surprise. There's that name again. Looked down at her shorter frame, red eyes let his body fad away, leaving behind a still injured Black as he hunched forward with a pained cough.

"Shit, you okay, come on lets get you somewhere safe" Gwen said, grabbing his good arm as Black nodded to her.

"Theres a bar on the other side of Harlem, Bullseye was going to meet me there, I can rest up and heal in peace there" he explained slowly as the two of them made their way out of the warehouse.

"A bar? What have you been doing?" she asked with a hint of teasing in her voice.

"Oh you know, drinking, drugs, trying to get laid, the usual" the dry remark was not lost on the spider girl as she huffed to herself. Oh she was going to get him back for that one. "Hay…is that, do you still need me to go to SHIELD about the serum" he asked quietly as Gwen looked down at him in surprise.

"Lets, talk about it later, you need to get those injuries checked first, sucks that you don't have healing powers like me" Gwen boasted as the teen in her arms scuffed at her. Both of them found small smiles on their faces as they limped through New York.

It felt good to have each other without any issues for once.

Black could only hoped this would last.

And now he has a name he can search for later. Who was Peter and why did Gwen have such a big connection to him.
