Ducking low, Black avoided another punch from the fat fighter he was facing against. Striking out with a quick uppercut, the teen watched as the man crumpled to the floor, nursing a now broken jaw as the fight was called in his favor.
The winnings were once again given to Bullseye, the man walking him back to the bar instead of splitting up this time.
You would think after the last time the teen would avoid this…but hay, he needed to make some money and now with Bullseye connections he was sitting on quite the fortune. Maybe that whole thing about dragons wanting a hoard of gold had some truth to it.
Oh well, more money for him.
Whipping the blood from his chin, Black pulled his hoodie over his head, heading into the bar as the bouncer gave them a look, not walking to have his arm broken after Bullseye did it to the last three guys. Eventually the reputation of don't mess with the bald guys hits home.
"Anything interesting coming in about Hammerhead?" Black asked, sliding into his seat as one of the waitresses gave him and bullseye their usual drinks.
"Nothing yet, the guys went underground after you tossed him through a wall, sorry about not getting to you last time" Bullseye said, sipping his drink as Black waved him off.
"Dont worry about it, had a spider help me out of that one" Black replied as he blushed a bit at the thought of Gwen. Bullseye shot him a smirk as the teen narrowed his eyes in return, a hint of red seeping into them as the bald man laughed.
"Calm down dragon boy, whatever you and spider girl got going on aint my business, just invite me to the wedding" he laughed as the teen huffed, sipping his drink before looking down at it in thought.
He hadn't seen the girl in a few days and with a meeting with SHIELD coming up he really didn't want to have to deal with them alone again. One time being tortured in a cell was enough thank you very much.
"I did find some news you might be interested in" Bullseye spoke as Black looked up, cocking an eyebrow at him to continue. "Rumor has it that an old fishbowl head was seen making some exchanges with a mod gang recently, a lot of money and equipment being traded around" he explained as the teen nodded.
"What would that have to do with hammerhead" he aske,d wondering what the connection could be.
"No clue, but that puts him on someone else radar, frank castle it hunting him down" bullseye finished, sipping his drink again as Black furred his eyebrows in thought. He heard about that man, a killer through and through.
Not like he was a saint but…well if it helped, might as well see where it goes.
"Anywhere I should check out?" he asked, standing up from the table as Bullseye kicked his feet up to lean back in his seat.
"Try Harlem, usually money and weapons deals will be around there, you might spot something good there, I can call ahead and have frank meet you too" he added cheekily as Black sighed.
"Why didn't you start with that?" he asked moving towards the stairs as Bullseye laughed. Hearing an old, where would the fun in that be as he left the bar. Grabbing his black rose card, the teen disappeared into an alleyway, disappearing from view as the red dragon soured into the sky towards the Harlem district.
Landing on one of the rooftops overlooking the train line, Black narrowed his eyes as he folded his wings up, craning his neck to look across the roofs for anything in sight.
A faint cocking of a gun caught the dragon's attention, turning slightly to see some thug holding a couple at gunpoint. Leaping from his perch, the dragon coured down towards the man, his talons outstretched as he tackled the thug into the ground before he could even scream.
The couple ran off without a second thought, screaming about a monster as the dragon huffed. He was just trying to help geez. A dull thunk made the dragon look up, noticing a heavily armoured figure jumping down from a dumpster, hollister a rifle on their back as they stared at him carefully.
"Didn't think I would find you so soon" the former police officer mumbled out, looking at the red dragon up and down as he cocked an eyebrow. "And roses…really" he asked as the blakc rose looked offended at his comment.
Faded back into his normal form, Black looked at the man warily as he placed his card into the new card holder Bullseye had gotten him a few nights ago. Did it have to be attached to a big studded belt though, he wasn't trying to look so goth you know.
"What's the plan here, your hunting Hammerhead" Black asked, pulling his hood up as the older man grunted to him.
"Hammerheads got some information i need, since your run in with him he's been hiding in his mansion and guarded by all of his mod, i need some help to get him, if I don't he'll disappear and I won't find him again" the man snarled as Black nodded.
"Okay, got a map of this place?" Black asked as the man nodded, gesturing for him to come towards one of the bins as he pulled out an old schematic of the mansion. Black didn't even want to know how he got those, why was there blood on it?
"The whole place had guards coming in and out of it at all timer,s the mansions main room is on the upper left, most likely place for the hard head to hide away in" Frank explained quickly as Black nodded, looking over the plans as he spotted a few places to could sneak in…just have to see how tight the security was when they get there.
"I can get in, I'll need you to cover the windows, got any silent and long ranged?" the teen asked, looking at the equipment Frank sported as the man grunted in return. Not much of a talk is he. "Okay, that'll work, I can get in through here, make my way through the mansion and oce i'm outside the main room's door, you can blast open the window and we grab Hammerhead before he can realise what's happening" he explained as the man nodded.
"If you get caught there's a path leading out the back of the mansion, we can cut him off before he gets far" Frank added as he gestured to the back of the mansion.
"Should be simple there, let's get moving, I need to get back to my bed" the teen joked as Frank huffed, mumbling about annoying teenagers as Black chuckled in return. This might be fun.
This…was not fun.
"Thats…alot of guards" Black mumbled from the vantage point Frank had got them two, two corpses of former guards lay in a bush behind them as Frank picked up his rifle and attached his silencer to it for good measure.
"Your entrance is over there, five guards around it and two on top, need to be quick when you take out the left one I'll get the right" Fank explained quickly as he set himself up to aim down his sights. Holding up a small device, Frank handed a small ear piece to the teen to keep in contact with him during the mission.
"Let's hope the guards below don't look up" Black mumbled, grabbing his Hamon card as he faded away, being replaced by the demonic fiend as his wings fluttered softly in the night. Frank nodded to him, waiting for him to move first.
Taking to the skies, Hamon soured silently through the air, heading straight for the upper balcony wall that had the two guards stationed on it. Before he got too close, the fiend adjusted his position, bringing his shield up as he folded his wing, dropping like a rock towards them.
With a grunt he crushed the first guard, stabbing him through the neck before he could even make a noise. The other guard tried to warn someone, only to be silenced by Frank's rifle, shooting him through the throat and letting him choke to death on his own blood.
Looking back towards the hill, Hamon nodded to the man before throwing himself over the edge, slipping into the open window as Frank started to take care of the guards outside while he got to work inside.
The room was empty, letting the fiend stalk towards the door without issue, hearing someone shifting from one foot to the other beyond the door. Thinking fast, Hamon tapped the door twice, pulling himself back as the two guards on the other side opened the door.
As they walked inside, Hamon grabbed one by the head, crushing it in his grip before his shield shot out, impaling the other man's neck as the two new corpses dropped like a sack of potatoes. Leaving the room, Hamon closed the door as he stalked the hallways, hearing the faint sound of silenced bullets killing guards outside.
Frank must be having a field day right now.
Climbing over a banister, the fiend leaped over to one of the far walls, digging his claws into the plaster as two more guards partroled below him. Crawling along the wall towards the other side of the room, Hamon silently jumped to the next balcony, moving down the hallway as quietly as he could.
He was a dragon, not the best creature for stealth missions but he could make it work.
Mostly.
Peeking around the next corner, Hamon tapped his ear piece as Franks spoke to him over the comms. "You're coming up to the room now, at the end of the hallway, six guards posted along the way and four more inside his office" Frank explained as the fiend grunted to himself.
He wasn't going to get through this bit silently.
"Going to go…loud" Hamon grunted out, letting a little spark pulse along his shields as Frank responded.
"I'll move to the window, as soon as Hammerheads hears you fighting he'll make a break for the window" the former office said, cutting off the comms as Hamon snarled. He wasn't letting this guy get away, not this time.
Giving it twenty seconds for Frank to get closer to position, Hamon jerked his shields down, a pulse of lightning erupted across them before launching himself around the corner, his talons digging into the ground as he moved.
He met the first guard before anyone could even react, his shields going straight through his chest and sending blood all over the walls. With a grunt, the fiend ripped the man in half, throwing his right arm forward and catching the second guard as he tried to reach for his gun.
Crushing the man's head with a sick splat, Hamon brought his shield up as the other four guards opened fire on him. Launching himself forward, Hamon swung his shields down, hitting one of the guards as he cried out in pain, hitting the ground and was quietly silenced as Hamons talon crushed his neck.
Leaping into the air, the fiend stabbed his shield down on the other guard, cutting the body in two as the last two guards backed up towards the door in fear. They didn't even get to reload as Hamon was already in front of them, his claws wrapped around their throats as a pulse of lightning ripped through their bodies.
With a grin, the fiend threw the two new corpses through the door, splintering it as he was met with the horrified faces of hammerheads last four guards. The man himself holding his tommy gun and staring at Hamon in fear.
Oh he was going to enjoy this.
Outside the room, Frank was stationed out the back window, his rifle aimed towards the back of one of the guards' heads. Pulling the trigger, the man's head exploded as Hamon moved to the other side of the room, his shield up as the, blocking the bullets as his free claw slashed the guard's throat, ripping it apart as the body dropped with pain filled choke gasp.
The next guard dropped with a bullet through the back of his throat, leaving one more guard as Hamon pounced on him, pinning him to the ground with his talon before ripping his head off with a flick of his shields.
All that was left was Hammerhead.
The mobster backed up towards the wall as his tommy gun clicked empty. He tried to reload, only to have his hand explode as Frank shot him through the window, letting the man cry out in pain as he dropped to his knees. Holding the mutilated hand.
Hamon stood in the centre of the massacre, letting Frank swing in through the window as he marched up to Hammerhead, grabbing the mobster by his suit and slamming him against the wall. For how big the man was, Frank could lift him with ease.
Goes to show the man's muscles aren't just for show.
"Tell me, everything I want to know and I won't have the demon here trip your limbs off" Frank snarled as Hamon lifted his bloody claws just to add to the effect. Hammerheads eyes widened at the sight of the fiends claws, dripping with blood of his former guards as he shook in fright.
Maybe being a walkling demonic skeleton did have its perks.
"What, what do you want?" Hammerhead stammered out as Frank slammed him against the wall again.
"The castle family, they were taken to a safe house two weeks ago by your men, where are they!" Frank growled out, keeping the man in the air as Hamon raised an eyebrow. He was doing this for his family…good for him, maybe he wasn't just a psycho.
Never mind he had a gun to Hammerheads head now…that was annoying to think about.
"They, they came to me alright, they wanted protection after the last time you went on a rampage and got a target put on your back by kingpin" Hammerhead explained as the other man snarl,d pressing the gun closer to the mobsters head and pulling the hammer back with a click.
"Where did you send them?" he yelled, making the man flinch as Frank looked just about ready to pull the trigger. He didn't get to, as Hamon placed a claw on his shoulder, grunting to him as Frank got the message.
Letting the mobster drop to the ground, Frank backed off as he went to the man's desk, going through reports to find something useful. Hamon stared down at Hammerhead, narrowing his eyes as he spotted a phone ringing in his pocket.
Kicking the man's leg, Hamon watched as the phone fell out of his pocket, gently picking it up as he swiped to answer the call.
"Hello Hammerhead, I believe you should be free for me" A voice spoke as Hamon narrowed his eyes. A soft grunt escaped his throat as the voice on the other end paused. "You're not Hammerhead are you," the voice whispered, almost sounding pleased.
"No…he's down, bleeding" Hamon growled out as the voice on the other end barked out a laugh.
"Oh, so it seemed the famed punisher did take the hit out on Hammerhead, he in the room as well?" the voice asked as Hamon lifted the phone away looking towards Frank as he pressed the call to the speaker.
"What do you want Murdock" Frank growled to the phone as Hamon raised an eyebrow, wondering what he was getting into.
"Charming as ever castle, Though finding you here gives me an opportunity I cant pass up" the man replied smoothly as Frank narrowed his eyes suspiciously at the phone. "If your looking for the information on your wife, I can provide that to you" he spoke as Frank grabbed the phone.
"Where are they!" he snarled as Hamon watched him carefully. Man had a one track mind that's for sure.
"Ah, Ah, Ah, first I need something collected for me, and if needs to be done by tomorrow night you see" the unknown replied as Frank snarled to himself. "Theres a few packages of mine that have gone missing, I've tracked them to the edge of chinatown and lost them from there, but I have a good idea that Rhino is going to want a piece of them" he explained as Frank nodded to himself.
"Get me my items back and I'll provide you with the information you need, see you in a day boys" the phone hung up after that as hamon snarled to himself, looking to Frankk as the man gripped his gun tighter.
"Let go" Hamon grunted out, getting more annoyed with how this was going. He was going to miss his meeting with Gwen tomorrow because of that person on the phone. Just what he really needed.
Getting to the window, Hamon paused as Frank was standing in front of Hammerhead, the man passed out from blood loss as Frank looked ready to put a bullet through his head. He didn't in the end, following Hamon out the window as they met up at the getaway car to travel across New York.
And who names themselves Rhino anyway?
Black could only hope this would get taken care of quickly, he needed a nap right about now.
