Page Two – First Battle

I want to say I'm very sorry for not updating my stories for while because my computer got broken. However, I'm back to get my stories into the action.

Special thank you goes to Xyaqom for helping and supporting me to beta reading my stories, so please check your stories when you get the chance too! I have only heard of good things about it.

I'm going to tell everyone that Asta is going to get a harem but I will not tell anybody whose is the harem.

Revchi shoots two daggers with steel chains sent towards Asta as the daggers were trying to hit Asta's middle section of his body. His right hand took the sword struck the dagger to sends them away from him. Asta turns his head to notice the daggers were incoming towards his body. Asta jumps sideways to dodges them. His right hand threw the Grimoire away, which Revchi believes Asta was throwing his Silver Grimoire away from his hand of thinking that Asta was giving up.

The steel daggers try to hit Asta's middle section and stab his chest area from behind, but something catches the steel being the wind magic as Revchi and Yuno were surprised to see wind magic protecting Asta from behind. Revchi turns his sights towards Yuno to ensure he was not doing anything with his Grimoire since his steel chains tied his hands down.

"Wind Magic?" Yuno and Revchi speak with a surprised voice as they were trying to figure out who was casting the wind magic on themselves which their attention returns to finds Asta was shocked because he didn't know that he had wind magic.

"How is this possible!? My chains can measure anyone's magic or mana… They should have a connection with you!?" Revchi says with a disbelieving voice that there was no way for someone to have magic inside of their bodies since the person has no magic or mana.

Inside Asta's body, the small spark was turned light green to resemble the wind's magic, yet the power was slowly gathering inside Asta's body and spirit.

Asta felt the strange power growing inside his body, then his right hand holding his sword as Revchi believes he was safe from Asta. However, thoughts of protection vanished when Asta threw his sword towards him as a light green wind slash was sent. Revchi dodges the wind slash as his eyes become furious about Asta's new powers were unheard of inside the magic world. Even Yuno could not believe what he was seen.

Revchi makes nine daggers with steel chains from his space portals as he sent the daggers towards Asta with his eyes extends of shock as he jumps away, but the daggers slices side of his cheek, middle section, and right leg. The chains wrap around Asta's body as it covers him with his eyes begins to close because it seems that he can even move his sword, which his thoughts, "Is this it… Am I done proving myself?" His tone was soft because it seems that he was going to give it up. After all, he could not feel anything around his body.

"What a loser! All of that magic was nothing!" Revchi begins to exclaim about Asta since he believes Asta is giving up since he could feel the aura of threats was gone down which Yuno looks down at the stone ground with a firm expression.

"You are wrong about Asta because he's stronger than you are and anybody else since he never gives up! He's my best friend, and I rather have him as my rival!" Yuno speaks with the same voice and expression because he didn't want to believe that Asta was done, yet his dreams and goals were not done with him.

Views of Asta and Yuno growing up with each other makes an appearance inside of Asta's mind, which brought the ideas of how Asta begins to treat Yuno as his best friend then begins to think about how Yuno was always trying his best to stop crying about falling or stay positive about himself since Asta heard all negative glances or words towards himself.

"What trash are you talking about?" Revchi asks towards Yuno with confidence inside of his voice which the chains start to break as his head turns to sees Asta breaks out of the chains that were holding with his aura was black with a dark green outline surrounding him. Revchi was thinking about what kind of magic or mana this person has since there was no way Asta could have these many powers inside himself.

Asta's aura was different from anything that he had seen before which. His eyes look at Revchi as he was ready to finish this battle because Yuno was counting on him to save him like the last incident when they were 8 years young. Still, Yuno made a promise to himself to start to get strong and try to catch up with Asta since he was slowly getting stronger every day even though he didn't have his Grimoire or magic.

"How is this possible?! My chains should have held you down until I was done!?" Revchi spoke with a firm voice as he could not believe this was happening since his chains would always trap the person inside their inescapable chains.

"Because Asta is special now than before as well too," Yuno speaks with a firm voice as it shows young Yuno, who was surprised to see Asta was standing his ground after taking a beating from drunken men who were trying to get Yuno's necklace away from him.

-8 Years Ago-

Asta turns his head to look at Yuno with his smile, making an appearance on his expression. He didn't allow the negative emotions or feelings to him because they will always win if someone allows them to get him down or into a state of depression.

"If I become Magic Knight, then I promise to make sure you are always protected, and I will fight at your side because I know you'll become the Wizard King," Asta tells Yuno with a confident voice as his eyes shocked to hear the news from his best friend. Still, Yuno sees Asta as a rival because Asta could be the Wizard King's next candidate.

"I'm going to work hard, and someday maybe I'll become Magic Knight like you… Then we will work ourselves to being the ultimate team!" Yuno responds to Asta with confidence inside his voice because he didn't want Asta to be left alone as he always remembers how the other villagers would always look at Asta as nothing special. Still, he always tells them that he'll show everyone can make their dreams into reality.

Asta went over to picks the same necklace that Yuno wears around his neck, which he goes over to pick up then places it around Yuno's neck again with his lips forms a warm smile. He steps away from his best friend, and his attention turns back with his expressions shows a serious side because he would not give up on his dreams, not even if anybody tells him that it's impossible.

-Earlier in the Day-

Asta and Yuno were racing towards the hill as everyone was waiting for them to come and join them which Asta turns his head to sees the farmers working hard to do their fields. Yuno was trying to catch up with Asta, but Yuno trips on the small rock and lands on the rocky road. He begins to show tears of pain as Asta shows his right hand to help him up onto his feet.

"Yuno, you should not cry because someday… You'll be strong and conquer anything." Asta tells his best friend with confidence inside his voice as he helps Yuno up onto his feet. Yuno sees Asta inside of bright light because Asta never spoke down to people or said anything negative about the others.

"Thank you, Asta," Yuno responds to his best friend as he gets back to his feet with the help of his best friend which two boys begin to run towards the uphill to sees Sister Lily and other children there.

Asta and Yuno join them at the hill as Asta begins to eat the lunch which he speaks, "Well, Father Orsi surely needs to find the right one someday and maybe become a great cook too." Asta's tone was confident inside of the father to find someone in his life. Sister Lily was happy to hear those words because Asta would always find ways to help Father Orsi or the others around the church while looking back at the church and small village of Hage.

"Besides, I want to become strong enough to show everyone that it doesn't matter if you are royalty, commoner, or anything… You can always chase after your dreams as my magic is never giving up until you say you're done." Asta says to the others with confidence inside of his voice that the children, Yuno and Sister Lily, were surprised to hear Asta's dedication and encouragement about himself and the people who weren't lucky to be part of royalty.

-In the Church-

"The hero became the first Wizard King." Sister Lily speaks gently towards Asta and Yuno with a comfortable smile as Asta felt something again like the deep connection with the Wizard King, but he doesn't know why he felt a deep connection with him for?

"Asta?" Sister Lily brought Asta back from his deep dreams as his attention turns to sees Yuno and Sister Lily were worried about him since he didn't act like this, but he would always look at the statue of the first Wizard King. However, Sister Lily wonders if something happened to Asta which the mages came to see him. They only found a little spark of magic inside Asta, but it was nothing to worry about it.

After Father Orsi put the letter down, Yuno was sent out to deliver a letter to the neighborhood village as his right fist raises to does the fist bump with Asta as it was their signature. Asta returns the fist bump with Yuno, which they saw Yuno left the church with a gentle smile as everybody begins to return to their normal routines. Asta went over to the side of the church and began to feel something inside of his body. Then, his eyes close themselves to sees a vision of Yuno in danger or something was not right, which his eyes open to sees it was a time of night.

Asta starts racing towards the village where Yuno was, and his hopes inside his heart are that the vision he has seen of Yuno getting hurt.

-Village of Newlands-

"Thank you, young sir." Villager Leader speaks back to Yuno with a respectful voice as he accepts the letter from Hage Village, then Yuno nods at Village Leader which begins to step away to travel back to the Hage Village Church been his home.

Yuno keeps traveling towards the church, with white snow falling onto Yuno, which didn't bother him since he would go back to his home. The drunken man got thrown out of the bar for drinking all of the bars as his right hand waves the bartender, "Uh… Screw you, asshole… I-I-I'll get more booze for me elsewhere." He was telling the bartender with his feet as he went over, and the drunken man sees Yuno with his thoughts brought the idea of stealing the money away from the kid in front of him for his thoughts weren't his own, to say for the least.

Drunken man knocks Yuno down onto the snow after getting the necklace from Yuno's neck. As he was examining the gem and necklace with his drunken eyes, he could see this gem would catch the effort price of drinks to have more for tonight.

"Hey, stop right there!" A firm voice says behind the drunken man, and Yuno turns to his attention to see Asta, standing his ground with his expression was serious because he believes the drunken man had something that didn't belong to him. "I believe that doesn't belong to you at all." Asta continues to speak with the same tone towards the drunken man because he wasn't going to allow the drunken man to get his way with Yuno's necklace beside the point of stealing from others to gain something will always leave with nothing but emptiness inside of the person's heart and spirit.

"What the… Get the hell out of here, stupid brat!" The drunken man responds to Asta which Yuno was going to tell Asta to leave, but something inside Asta made him not want to leave the drunken man with Yuno's necklace.

After bothering the drunken man a couple more times, Asta kept getting up from being knocked down onto the ground as Yuno was shocked that Asta was not going to give up until he got Yuno's necklace back. However, the drunken man had enough of the little brat, so he threw the necklace away, for he begins to walk away from Asta and Yuno of trying to get his mind straight out again then Asta went over to takes the necklace from the ground to return to Yuno, but he felt a small connection to the necklace for unknown reasons as his shoulders shrug slightly of trying not to understand it.

-Present-

Asta slices through the chains and daggers as he begins to race towards Revchi, "I don't care what you say or others say about me! My magic is never giving up!" Asta told him with a firm voice as the sword hits Revchi's middle section then sends him towards the stone wall, which Asta was breathing in, then out for places the sword back inside of his Silver Grimoire, then his attention turns to sees Yuno got freed from the chains.

Asta walks over to the entrance of stone walls as stops walking to looks at the Hage Village, which Yuno joins him at his side. His head turns to see Asta shows a smooth smile and turns his head to see Yuno. His expression makes the appearance confident about saving everyone in Hage Village because he never wanted to see another person in pain or suffering because of the mistakes they made.

"Asta, are you going to become Magic Knight?" Yuno asks him with a firm voice as the question towards Asta turns to sees Yuno with serious expression with his eyes becomes serious because it seems that Yuno's courage inside of his heart and spirit was back to normal. For he was ready to travel to the capital and take the exams, but there was one thing or person that Yuno wanted to take the exam with him, which was Asta.

"Yes, I am," Asta responds to Yuno with confidence in his new abilities to get past the exam and become Magic Knight for one of the groups.

Asta and Yuno got Grimoires which the question is what the future does have stored from them which the only way to found out is to walk forward. They begin to walk back to their home with confidence inside their expressions as Asta looks down at his Grimoire of wondering what power or magic he used and where it came from?
