And third chapter up! Hope you will like it.

I am still open for monster suggestions, specially chimeras due to reasons that will explained in the chapter.

"Duck!" I hear being shouted behind me, my hair standing up as I barely managed to drop to the ground.

I can feel the air on top of me being displaced, the wind buffeting me like If I was in the middle of a hurricane.

"You managed to dodge that one, good," said the masochistic bastard in front of me, his right leg raised slightly.

"Did you just think something annoying? You have that frown on your face again" said the guy Azazel assigned as my combat instructor.

Why does someone like Baraqiel have time for stuff like this?!

CEO of the Combat Research Division Baraqiel originally known as the Lightning of God, was looking at me with a serious face, his upper body bare as holy lightning run through his entire body.

"Yes, I was thinking of how crazy you all are here! My head could have been busted open by that attack!" I complained not for the first time.

"Oh stop being such a coward. Roll!" he shouted again making me desperately struggle to do just as ordered, managing just in time to avoid the brutal kick that could have knocked my head off my shoulders.

"Do you think I am so green as to not know when to stop my attacks? Up!" he joked, as I pulled my revolvers out and shot the ground with their full power, it was just enough to push me upright before his electricity-covered stomp reached my face, creating a crater where my head had been, making my eyes widen.

He had actually stopped when I had been unable to dodge, he still landed a hook on my liver but it wasn't with the legendary strength that I am sure could erase mountains.

Still hurt like a bitch though.

I pull the trigger eight times, four for each revolver, but Baraqiel simply walked forward, even at full power the light bullets disintegrated when they touched him, like a masochistic Mr. X he walked through them.

An entire week had gone by since I was dropped on this world, Azazel had dealt with the devil nobles that wanted to stuff an invisible collar on me, after apparently talking directly to Serafall.

I did get banned from multiple noble governed territories, but that is whatever, I will sneak inside them if I REALLY need to.

I couldn't help but feel some kind of satisfaction as I sidestepped a half-assed bolt of electricity, The Grigori was turning out to be a really entertaining place, my classes with Mittelt have been really useful, the cute blond wasn't even actively aggressive anymore, she quickly learned that I would twist any argument we had to make her sound like an idiot.

A monster jumped out of my shadow, a black lion with white crystal eyes that was at the very least two times bigger than the natural average.

Baraqiel played with it a little dodging a couple of swipes with the greatest of ease before tearing a hole in its head with his fingertips making it dissipate just as quickly as it appeared.

In those couple of seconds, I had already brought out another monster, a horse that I quickly mounted, this monster could run as fast as a car and was easily one of my best designs yet.

I had learned how to create most types of animals this week, they come easily enough and once I create a couple of them they start coming out quicker, though doing multiple at a time slows the process down.

I started shooting at Baraqiel even if I knew it wouldn't do much at all, at the same time creating a monster under my shirt, my latest and most important creation yet.

I have found that imitating the shape of a creature is quite easy, but the abilities? quite a bit harder, probably explains why the canonical wielder of my gear only created basic monsters that only shot lasers and were tough.

"Ugh!" I wasn't even able to see when Baraqiel appeared in front of and decapitated my monster with a simple chopping motion of his hand, I just felt my body being thrown like a crash test mannequin into the ground.

"Fuck that hurt" I lowly whined that is definitely a bruised rib, what did I do to have Azazel assign this dude as my trainer?

Oh right being myself and getting into a fight on my first day.

"Well that was better than last time, you lasted a whole 40 seconds! five more than your previous best!" I am pretty sure the fucker punched me in the face as well, I could taste the blood, I think one of my teeth snapped in two.

Still, I refuse to lay down like a bitch I still have the snake I created under my clothes, even if it probably will do jack shit it was the principle of the matter.

I spent the last week studying snake venom, its composition, and how it is delivered to the snake's prey, dozens of the most dangerous species the human world knows (Inland Taipan, King Cobra, Black Mamba and the Barba Amarilla among others) were the subject of my study during this week.

The end result was a small thin but fast snake monster whose salivatory glands, allowed its hollow fangs to deliver a truly deadly venom, it is necrotizing, paralyzing, and inhibits breathing as its main effects.

It would be nothing but deadly to a normal human and low-class being, as well as giving a really shit time to the middle class and a lot of high-class supernatural races.

The strawberry to the monumental 'Fuck you' of a cake that was this monster is the fact that my sub-species brand of Annihilation Maker, means the venom has traces of light magic which obviously will deeply affect any race weak to light magic, like undead or devils.

Soon I will start experimenting with giving this venom to other monsters, I have always been someone that liked to meticulously go through my options before advancing in games, in this case, I made sure to experiment with regular non-supernatural animals first to understand how to make monsters inspired by them.

Kind of like learning how to mix multiple colors into a new one as a novice artist, I shall them mix these animal monsters into TRUE monsters, chimeras of the deadliest order.

Maybe an elephant-sized lion with a shark's sheer number of teeth all of which will be designed to inject as much of this venom to shock even the strongest high-class being into an early grave.

I have always had an overactive imagination, some times the world just seemed to pass me by as I got lost in my own mind, but that is a benefit here, this gear is just so much fun.

I remember thinking that I would have chosen Divine Dividing if I could have, but this week has changed my mind, life exists to enjoy it and I really enjoy creating.

Still, for all my thoughts Baraqiel still was getting closer, he always made sure to send me to dreamland each time we sparred, it was supposed to 'Make me tougher' I honestly would worry about the brain damage but Twilight Healing is a great fucking Gear.

If I ever form a team I will make sure to snag a wielder.

I sent the message to my snake which was currently hidden under my dress shirt, my monsters have some kind of mental connection to me, it can actually be hard to control, with my emotions affecting them without me meaning to.

I was just about to attack Baraqiel with my master plan when everything went black.

(POV: Baraqiel)

"Elbow drop!" He shouted as his lightning-covered elbow met the back of Felix's head, nothing powerful really a minor shock in comparison to what he could really do.

Looking at his student, he winced once he saw the crater that had formed on the arena ground, some blood was leaking from the top of his head he was completely unconscious.

Okay maybe he could have gone a little softer on him, but the whole purpose of the sparring sessions was to beat the snot out of him, not out of any maliciousness of course.

Over hundreds of years collecting data it had been determined that few things motivate young prideful men quite like getting their asses kicked by a seemingly unstoppable force, it makes them desire that power.

Azazel had assigned him to teach Felix to be a benchmark, he was a Cadre with power wildly above what almost all humans could strive to obtain.

Currently, he could only think of that old freak of nature Vasco Strada as a modern example but there have been hundreds of humans as powerful as him over the years, most of them having a Sacred Gear of course.

It was a simple fact of life, the strongest sacred gear wielders in history almost always had a grudge against a higher power that tried to control them (mostly gods) lashing out and carving their legends.

This was supposed to make Felix want to train harder, spite was one of the greatest motivators.

He was also assigned by Azazel to do this because Kokabiel had shown quite an interest in Felix.

He honestly felt that Azazel was overreacting slightly but he was the Governor-General for a reason and if he felt that letting Kokabiel get closer to Felix was a bad idea then who was he to question it? he was more of a meathead than a genius planner anyway.

"Ms. Akashiya get here and stop trying to hide" he called to his secretary who came out from the shadows she was hiding on, her small figure holding a serious expression but he could spot the blush on her cheeks due to getting caught.

To be expected she was only 13 years old even if she was a prodigy and tried to act like an ice princess most of the time she still had that childish curiosity

How adorable.

"Sorry sir," she said shuffling awkwardly from side to side, probably not sure what else to say.

"Don't worry, so much" he chuckled "I have known you were watching as from the first sparring session."

He laughed much louder once he saw her eyes widening, Felix showed inklings of noticing it too, but the Shuzen Family's blood ran strong in little Moka, she was proficient on their shadow blending techniques even at this young age.

He ignored the pang of sadness he felt talking casually with the girl, it put him in a melancholic mood to think about how things could have been with her own daughter.

"Well, what are your thoughts?" he was curious about what the red-eyed girl thought about the spars.

She was here to learn more about fighting, after all, a favor from Azazel's part to the girl's father.

Apparently, she had learned that no, vampires weren't the unstoppable race many vampires liked to think they were, with her father himself admitting that he had lost to Baraqiel once.

To be fair to Issa they weren't all that far apart in raw power, it was simply a stylistic match-up, Baraqiel's holy lightning could kill any vampire currently alive, that wasn't even bragging just a simple fact of life.

Of course, that could be due that there currently aren't any vampires above Ultimate class, the only one to have pushed that barrier was Dracula and that bastard was dealt with hundreds of years ago.

The fact that Dracula was Moka's ancestor didn't escape his attention, nor Azazel's.

"He didn't even last a minute," said the girl with a clearly dismissive tone.

"Would you have done better?" he knew how to deal with her type, a lot of fallen were like her, telling her to stop acting arrogantly would only get her mad.

As she winced and looked away he smiled reassuringly, no you needed to bring them back to reality.

"He honestly did quite well, I would honestly have felt ashamed if he lasted a whole minute" honestly Felix was a tricky piece of work, he was resourceful for sure, he had used his monsters and the arena terrain (created by the research division to imitate a rocky hill) as shields multiple times.

Baraqiel obviously wasn't taking the fight seriously but it still was impressive.

"Are you saying he would beat me?" Moka questioned with a frown making him sigh.

He sometimes thanked his good fortune for not falling to the Sin of Pride, some may question his tastes in bed (not like that information was common knowledge) but dealing with prideful beings was still a pain in the ass to this day.

"Honestly?" he asked getting a nod from the still frowning girl

"Nine out ten times he would win" Moka's eyes widened like platters at his nonchalant response.

"You can't be serious!" she shouted losing some of the composure she always tried to keep.

"It isn't like he is super powerful and outclasses you or anything like that" he said quickly "He is just… well there is no way to say this nicely, he is a better fighter than you" he continued getting a small glare from the vampire princess.

He quickly flicked her forehead with just a bit of holy lightning, just enough to draw a sound of pain from her.

"You rely too much on your inherent speed and strength, as most supernatural beings do but that approach to fighting would quickly end in your defeat or even demise" he needed to be firm and serious now, with any luck the message would stick.

He doubted it, if a talk was all that was needed to deal with a vampire's pride then that racial trait wouldn't have become the stuff of legends.

"He doesn't look that impressive now" she said with a dismissive look at the still unconscious and bleeding Felix.

He couldn't believe he had forgotten about the kid.

"Ugh get him up to a better position, I will call someone with a healing Sacred Gear" he sighed facepalming and casting the spell.

It was only due to his millennia of battle experience that he was able to catch the subtle movements under Felix's shirt.

Moka was unable to react in time, both out of surprise and the sheer speed of the monster, the snake-like monster jumped out of his sleeve leading straight towards Moka's exposed neck

Barely a second before its fang sunk into the flesh Baraqiel was able to grab it by the head, the monster struggled for a second before he got a better grip of it making sure that its mouth stayed close.

He looked at the girl he had been tasked to teach and keep safe, Moka's eyes were looking intensely at the snake as she slowly but steadily walked away from Felix, as if the unconscious boy would sprout more snakes all of a sudden.

Well this was awkward, he probably needed to tell Azazel about this situation, he probably will want to examine the snake too ( apparently Felix allowed Azazel to study his monsters in the contract he signed) he almost definitely would get annoyed if he heard Baraqiel destroyed the monster even if Felix could create multiple on demand.

And he still needed to get Felix some medical assistance.

Why couldn't his life be simpler? These were the times he really missed Shuri no one could ever melt his stress away like her.

Great now he feels melancholic again.

(Pov: Back to Felix)

"Fucking Baraqiel, masochistic bear looking ass motherfucker" I murmured to myself as I walked through the Grigori's HQ food plaza while balancing my tray of food some KFC, apparently capitalism transcends the supernatural barrier and Azazel spent some time in America.

ALSO apparently Baraqiel's secretary almost fucking died because of my snake, Azazel was eager to examine the snake and ask a fuck ton of questions after I woke up from getting elbowed in the head.

The girl apparently was a middle-class vampire, so yeah she would have 100% died if bitten by it.

I would feel guilty but honestly? not my fault, why the fuck was she touching my unconscious body?

I created the snake to fight Baraqiel a Cadre of the Grigori not some middle class nobody and Azazel agreed I wasn't at fault so now I am enjoying an extremely unhealthy but filling meal.

"OH is that Mittelt?" messing with her is exactly what I need to forget about how my ass got whooped by Baraqiel.

I'm not salty that I couldn't see the snake I spent an entire week working to perfect, in action, Shut Up!

"What are you doing here!" shrieked Mittelt as I sat down at the table she was eating, now that I am here I can see that two other fallen girls are with her.

Raynare was easy to recognize the low level mook that shanked Issei, a fallen supremacist with delusions of grandeur, the other one took a while, but I think her name was Kala… something.

"Mittelt darling, your words wound me! Despite the fact that we have spent hours in each other's company talking and even a bit more~" man do I love myself.

"You idiot! don't make it sound like that!" she frantically spoke waving her hands in front of me as I calmly sipped my soda, her friends were looking at her with raised eyebrows.

"Mittelt why don't you introduce your friend over here?" said Raynare with a snort, looking at me with a strange look as I ate my Nashville Hot Fried Chicken.

"He is just a human I am instructing" she is quick to say "I was actually saddled with him because of you Raynare!"

I could see Kalawarner losing some interest she had when my species was stated, to be expected I suppose.

"How was I supposed to know, Kokkabiel would order a surprise inspection that day! I didn't have time to warn you like usual" Raynare defended herself.

Kokabiel again, that name has repeated itself more times this week than I feel comfortable.

"Just a human? after I let you play on your phone without telling Azazel?" I said with faux sadness holding my heart for extra effect.

"Mittelt where did all the love go" I continued 'swooning' with the most obnoxious smile I could muster.

Mittelt's eyebrow twitched but she couldn't deny the truth.

It wasn't like I had let her play games out of the goodness of my heart or anything like that. I'm just better at studying by myself (with a book or other sources) and anything Mittelt spews would be undoubtedly biased.

Azazel probably knows but the books about the factions I have been reading were approved by him anyway.

Mittelt just made some angry loli noises while turning her chin away from me making me chuckle.

"What are you even doing here?" said the tall blue-haired one with a slightly disgusted tone, fucking bitch.

"Oh me?" I say with an innocent smile "I just finished training with Baraqiel and decided to get something to eat"

The choking that came out of her as she struggled to comprehend what I just said felt great.

"Oh didn't I tell you that before? I am a Longinus wielder so I have spent a lot of time around the Cadre, Azazel is a funny guy" I continued directing the last part at Rayanare pretty sure she was obsessed with super pervert in the anime.

And sure enough, she started frowning at the comment.

Why am I being an ass to some low level mooks with no importance to either my future or the plot?

Cause I felt like it, they have been looking at me like I was some trash since Mittelt revealed that I am a human. There is no way in hell I will take that kind of passive-aggressive racism lying down.

I am human and proud of it, why should I treat three fallen supremacists well? cause they were 'named characters'? That means jack shit to me I won't treat anyone differently due to their plot relevance or lack thereof.

I am a confrontational man, I won't hide who I am to get close to three girls that will be dead in approximately 4 years' time if my presence doesn't kill them before that.

"Well girls it has been an absolute pleasure, but I am afraid that today my new manor in the Underworld has been built, Azazel sure works fast" I brag one last time having finished my chicken sandwich (wasn't spicy at all I feel lied to) and coke.

"See you tomorrow Mittelt" I cheekily said ignoring her and Rayanare's frown and Kalawarner's(I think that was her name?) weird look.

I don't have the time nor desire to decipher the last one.

(Creator's Cave) The next day

"So that is how these things work" I said looking at the cylinder of one of my revolvers its chambers were like always empty.

Azazel finally finished building my manor in the Underworld, it was even better than I hoped it would be.

It wasn't huge like the one Issei's family had gotten in canon, but it didn't need to be, I wasn't interested in having a huge home… yet.

Azazel even christened my house, with a downright embarrassing name.

'The Creator's Cave'

It wasn't the worst name possible, Azazel clearly half-assed it or maybe he was just that bad naming stuff.

The house was great nevertheless, it had a modern aesthetic that the Fallen seemed to favor, currently, I am resting on one of those huge ass sofas that are shaped like a 'U'.

There also was a mounted TV on the wall showing Jose Aldo beating the shit out of Ricardo Lamas in UFC 169, interesting information, I was pretty sure that DxD canon took place in 2008 or thereabouts but we are currently in 2014, not sure why that is if I am honest, maybe the dates fused with one of the other two fandoms?

Also, I am definitely betting in all the fights I can remember the results of, some extra money always helps.

"Ah! so they used angel feathers, to be expected I suppose" an important breakthrough, that I made sure to write down on one of my laptops (came with the house).

Truly my last skill was exactly the type of overpowered bullshit I loved, costing whopping 800 points almost as much as a Longinus, I would have been mad if it wasn't as good at this.

Enchanting, the magical art of setting a possibly permanent magical effect on an object, these could be continuous effects (night vision in some glasses) or triggered effects (my revolvers).

All these enchantments have some things in common, first, they require materials they can't come from just mana or demonic power, they need something physical, a magical metal or gem, the remains of a beast, or like I stated before a piece of a supernatural being (eyes, claws, wings, etc)

Secondly, they need an understanding of rune language, the actual runes one can use vary from region to region my revolvers are inscribed in Enochian for example, the language of angels.

This is where my skill comes to play through this skill my understanding of enchantments and enchantment magic is simply better than anyone else.

I need to simply observe the enchantment taking place and my brain seems to just 'get it'.

While before I came here the enchantments on Felix's revolver may as well have been childish doodles to him, now I understand how they work, the materials used in their creation, how much power was needed to the actual meaning of the inscribing.

For example, my revolvers, have an enchantment designed to make maximum use of the Human race's low magical reserves, they are a triggered enchantment the moment magic is introduced to the enchantment by the press of the trigger (which has a smaller magic absorption enchantment), the cylinder then proceeds to turn said magic into a light bullet spell used by angels in a ridiculously good exchange rate of mana to effect.

And now I can replicate this, I could grab a fallen angel wing and change the chamber of a gun to shoot light magic bullets instead, maybe I would add the enchantment to the magazine instead.

The moment I thought that my eyes were drawn to my blessed Tommy gun, the beautiful thing already gave normal bullets a slight holy damage kick, what if I changed its 50 rounds drum magazine to shoot light bullets instead.

Fantasies of me using two holy Tommy guns on my enemies one on each hand ran through my mind, they almost had me drooling.

This is some Doom level shit, I need it!

"But I don't have a fallen angel feather! SHIT!"

Would Baraqiel look at me weirdly if I asked for one of his feathers?

I need a way to obtain materials, but how? Wait! didn't the Grigori have a bounty hunting division?

Yeah… I remember something like that from Mittelt's classes,

'To deal with strays from all kinds of races to preserve peace and human safety, blah blah I have a great ass and teach in a miniskirt blah blah'

Bounty Hunting sounds fun.

"Okay Felix focus!" My to-do list now includes enchanting my Tommy gun, I also have to start experimenting with chimeric monsters, Pegasus, Manticore, Centaur, Chimera are just the classics.

And I still haven't found the two fandoms I need to search through, it has only been a week of studying after all, at least I know they aren't in Kuoh (obviously I would check there first) but Japan at large is still my study priority.

"Ugh all this work stresses me out, all work and no play makes Felix a dull boy" I won't kill myself training and studying, I am not a machine, I don't have a dumb gamer system mind controlling me into passiveness.

Good for me then that Azazel added a gaming room in the basement, man I haven't played Skyrim in a while, maybe it will give me some inspiration.

Need some music too, feeling in a Daft Punk mood.

(POV: Moka Akashiya) Grigori HQ

Azazel's words still resounded through Moka's head as she looked at the ceiling, the day had left her with a lot to think about

'Chance of survival 0%' that is what Azazel said with certainty, if that snake had bitten into her neck she would have died a painful and pathetic death.

Of course, Azazel hadn't said the last part but it still was how Moka felt, she was a member of the Shuzen family a descendant of Dracula himself and she would have died in a training accident?

It was almost enough to make her blood boil and trash her surroundings, thankfully she had a better hang of her temper than that, she wasn't an ogre.

Yet as powerful as Moka was for her age and how much room she still had to grow a human almost killed her without even being conscious!

She believed Azazel or more like she believed her own eyes when Azazel showed her and explained the effect of that damn snake's venom.

Her vampiric regeneration would have amounted for nothing if she also had light magic injected directly into her, her body would have been paralyzed and her heart would have stopped in less than a full minute, even Twilight Healing couldn't have saved her.

She came to the Grigori to learn to overcome her natural weaknesses, light and holy magic were just as deadly to vampires as they were to devils.

She still remembered the day that set her on her new path vividly, she had been raised under the belief that vampires were apex predators (well her family's brand of vampire from what she was taught the vampires in Europe were considerably less impressive) the S-rank was supposed to mean something!

She believed that wholeheartedly and was proud of her family's history and power.

And then she learned about just how big the world outside of youkai society and Japan was.

Out there in the world were monsters, true monsters, creatures that could erase the whole of Youkai Academy in one attack without any youkai alive being able to stop them.

Hell even inside Japan the nine-tailed fox Yasaka had power beyond that of the Three Dark Lords.

Pulling out the top 10 strongest beings wasn't even close to necessary, even her father (and what would HE think about what happened today) admitted to losing to Baraqiel when he and Azazel visited the manor to arrange for some new barriers for the Youkai Academy.

Apparently, even her father had a dumb kid phase, he had challenged Baraqiel to a fight around 100 years ago, just one holy lightning-charged kick had been enough to almost kill him.

Of course, after hearing that, she just had to train under the man, Both Baraqiel and her father were against it at first but Azazel somehow managed to convince him.

'Cultural exchange' he called it, Moka had understood that day how much of Azazel's pervertedness was actually a facade, the man had a silver tongue managing to convince even her father to let her go away to a 'training vacation'

She had learned so much in the few months she had spent as Baraqiel's secretary, the man was a master fighter she had never seen someone so skilled at hand to hand fighting, and even if her kick-heavy style didn't exactly correlate to his wrestling and power-focused one there was still a lot to learn.

Yeah she had learned a whole lot, about how big the world really was and how little being an S-rank monster really meant at the end of the day.

Only to completely forget it yesterday! she underestimated this Felix guy and almost paid the ultimate price for it, she had let her father's words influence her too much.

It is clear for anyone that isn't blind deaf and comatose that Issa Shuzen hates humans, not just think they are inferior he seems to genuinely think human lives have no value, even if humans wielding Sacred Gears have reached heights in power that the vampire race hasn't since Dracula himself roamed the lands.

Of course, there was another reason why Moka underestimated Felix completely unrelated to her inherited biases.

She could feel her cheeks heating up slightly as she thought about it.

Felix just smelled really really good, his blood had a refined scent that had her vampiric instincts almost going crazy.

She almost went for a sip the moment before everything almost went to shit, Moka knew that human blood was supposed to taste great, but this seemed even beyond that, on her relatively short stay in the Grigori she never had such a reaction with a human.

Moka wouldn't let something like this stop her of course, she needed to fight Felix one on one to regain her honor.

And maybe, just maybe she would take a quick lil taste of him after she wins

That came out weird.

"I wonder what he is doing right now" such an intelligent fighter that even Baraqiel praised surely must be training tirelessly right now, she should too!

She won't let Felix leave her behind! 1000 kicks and after that a 1000 push-ups!

Vampire needed a lot less sleep anyway, Felix was probably doing an even harsher training regiment!

Pov: Back to Felix

"Do you go to the clo-UGH!" I laughed out loud even as the guards started to pursue me, killing Nazeem is always necessary even if my current build was a warhammer wielding orc with nonexistant sneak skills.

That violent combat mod was a great addition, this is some Fallout (another game to play for sure, I wonder if I should make a Deathclaw) level shit.

Fuck this is relaxing, the fact that I can remember how to mod Skyrim but not my family is kind of odd but whatever I am enjoying myself.

Now to fill this game with enough mods to make my pc burst into flames while drinking some Fanta.

I suddenly feel like if someone annoying just made a dumb resolution, that will end up affecting me.

Huh…

"Must have been the wind" now to download the Paarthurnax dilemma mod.

Moka was affected so much by Felix's smell due to one of his perks, the entire list is at the end of the previous chapter, Felix is basically catnip for supernatural races.

And now Rosario + Vampire is finally introduced, Dragon Maid will take a while longer.

Feel free to recommend any monster you feel like I have gotten some good ideas like the Volibear and Bloodborne ones
