"Someone please turn off the sun" I complained as the morning light hit my eyelids like a metal chain to the teeth

I was feeling miserable, my head hurt and I felt groggy.

Waking up a little more I grow aware enough to realize that I'm touching something, it feels soft but toned, my hand reflexively groping it.

The moan that I instantly heard got me much more awake, opening my eyes fully ignoring the pain, I am treated to the face of a sleeping Raynare.

Looking at my hand I see that I was groping one of her asscheeks, she was completely naked.

"Mhm harder~" moaned out the NAKED girl sharing my bed.

"What the actual fuck happened last night?" My headache was too bad to try to remember all of it, but I am sure that my new team went out drinking, even if only Raynare, Keiko, and I actually drank anything.

"Hey, Raynare wake the fuck up" I started giving her some soft slaps in the face, if I had sex and I don't remember I will be mad.

"Huh?! shit someone turn off the light" she repeated something similar to what I had as she blinked the sleepiness away her eyes focusing on me.

"Oh hi" she said in a sleepy tone "Good morning" she calmly continued.

"Good morning" I reflexively replied without thought "Wait! what are you doing naked on my bed!" I shouted once I remembered why I had woken her up

"Sheesh don't scream I have a bad headache" she whined rubbing her temples "And I was sleeping what else?"

"But why on my bed though?" I can't believe I am asking this.

"There weren't other beds, Keiko is sleeping on the couch, and Mittelt, Kalawarner, and that vampire brat took the other beds" this place was designed for one person so that makes sense.

"So you dropped naked on my bed?"

"You were out cold and I like to sleep naked" she explained like it was a completely rational line of thought "Really you shouldn't have mixed vodka, fernet, and kool-aid I'm surprised you were able to drink all you did without puking everywhere, I even had to carry you up the stairs" that's kind of embarrassing.

"Huh, thanks" I say not knowing what else to say.

"You're welcome, now can you get your hand off my ass so I can make us some breakfast" I gave it one last quick grope before standing up.

"Huh, nice" Raynare complimented as she gave me a once over, I only had some boxers and she wasn't even trying to be subtle.

"Thanks, surprised you would compliment a human body though" considering her whole, 'Fallen Angels are the master race ignore that I'm a low-class mook' thing

"My… distaste for humans has nothing to do with their appearance, it's their weakness, I deeply dislike weaklings" I could point out that she is one herself but I don't want an argument while I still have a headache or worse getting her all moody.

"You aren't weak at all, I was wrong about you" wow that took her a lot to spit out "You are stronger than I expected, are you sure that you are a human?" well that's just rude.

Though I AM a genetically engineered warrior, I am at least made in the imitation of another human.

"Kind of? pretty sure I am" an enhanced human but one nonetheless.

"I can work with a kind of, now let's go get something to eat, some bacon and fried eggs should be enough to kick this hangover's ass" now that I can agree with!

"Gotta get dressed first though"

"Huh I almost forgot" she almost forgot she was naked?

…

"Wow, this is actually great!" finally some good fucking food! I have been eating instant food for over a month, the food plaza at HQ and the random street vendor have been my only respite.

"The fuck do you mean actually!?" said Raynare as she cooked herself some breakfast.

"You must admit Raynare you don't look the type" calmly said Kalawarner, she hadn't drunk much at all yesterday some wine maybe, currently she was sipping some black coffee.

I have never been able to stand the stuff, too bitter.

"Did you put something on this bacon?" this is some really good shit, two fried eggs some hash browns, and multiple thick slices of bacon, all with some OJ to wash down.

"I baked it in the oven, really you have a lot of ingredients here, what the hell have you been eating?"

"Mostly instant or fast food, I tried to something more complex than instant noodles once, and I ended up ruining the pan" that had been awkward.

"You are shit at cooking then" calmly interjected Mittelt playing a game on her phone as she also ate some breakfast.

"Yup" I shamelessly admit " what are you a great cook or something?"

The loud laughter from Raynare as well as Mittelt's blush seemed to indicate otherwise.

"Nope, she almost got our apartment on fire the last time she tried" Kalawarner giggled as she seemed to remember.

"Speaking off, did you guys get your stuff here already?" I asked after taking a gulp of orange juice.

"Yup Azazel works fast apparently" Mittelt answered "There weren't enough beds though, he said that he would get some more soon, how did you spend the night Ray? I know you told us that you were sleeping on a couch" I stared hard at Raynare as Mittelt finished her sentence.

"Oh that was a lie" calmly said Raynare " I slept with Felix" I started chuckling as Mittelt choked on her juice.

"What!?" Mittelt looked at me clearly wanting an answer.

"Oh yeah, Raynare's naked body pressed against me felt great" I casually say taking another bite of bacon.

"I can't believe it! you guys… wait are you fucking with me?" Mittelt asked her cheeks bright red.

"Certainly" Raynare and I say at the same time laughing as Mittelt whined in embarrassment.

I checked the time on my phone, 8:30 AM surprisingly early given last night.

"Where are the other two?" I asked curiously, Keiko probably has a hangover, but Moka didn't drink anything at all.

"Morioka is probably still asleep, the vampire girl said she was going to train after eating a quick breakfast" explained Kalawarner.

"Mhm, I should go check on her, thanks for the food Raynare" I say as I brought my empty plate to the sink and started cleaning.

"Also Kalawarner, call her Moka, that's her name we are all a team now whether you like each other or not" it was the small things that helped.

As I left the room I could hear Raynare disbelief at the fact that I wanted to train this early given the previous night.

She would remember those words in the future, I will be putting all the team members on a strict training regimen after our first mission, no way I am carrying all the weight on this team.

(POV: Moka Akashiya)

She gave a roundhouse kick to the air, making use of the momentum to do a spin to a spinning kick, as soon as she touched the ground again she swiftly moved into a raising kick.

Anyone with a discerning eye would be able to tell that her moves seemed to be directed at an absurdly tall opponent.

She still felt the burning shame from yesterday, her defeat hadn't left her that easily, of course it hadn't, it must have been one of the most humiliating moments of her life.

She had hounded Felix for a fight for weeks, certain that him avoiding her meant that he couldn't be THAT strong, surely Baraqiel had been exaggerating?

Her assumptions were quickly proven wrong, Felix didn't even fight with her directly for almost the entire fight.

She didn't even notice when he decided to join the fight, one moment she was struggling to overpower that insect-like monster, and then she was staring at the ceiling with a huge headache, Felix's aim was no joke.

That marked the second time that Felix had humiliated her, she wasn't even sure what to feel anymore, at least she was able to vent her emotions in blissful solitude.

"Hi" came Felix's voice from beside, making her jump out of her skin, in a clearly inelegant manner.

"Wow, you were really dept in thought huh? I was there for almost a minute!" he joked slapping me on my back.

"Hello Manager" her lips turned upwards for a second as Felix's face turned sour, he hated being called that for a reason, he look as if he had trouble swallowing something.

"Felix is fine Moka, I see that you are early at training that's good I would hope that the rest of the team would be like that but I'm not that naive" he complimented making her feel a strange sensation.

It was kind of bittersweet, she was happy about the compliment obviously but her reason for training isn't due to some extreme diligence so it also feels kind of hollow.

"I will be training here too, hope you don't mind" it was HIS house so he didn't need her permission, she just nodded feeling kind of awkward.

She lived a sheltered life before now and she knew it, only interacting with her family, that didn't mean she was given everything in life or that she never faced hardship far from it.

But she could admit her social skills were lacking from only interacting with her family and their servants, her sisters were… extravagant.

Yesterday had been her first time going out clubbing like that, Felix drunk, danced, and sang without a care in the world, he even tried to pull her into it multiple times.

She did record Felix and Keiko singing karaoke, Mittelt said something about it being excellent blackmail material.

It had been so difficult to ignore Felix's smell that night, she wasn't sure what it was, other humans smelled good too, but for some reason, Felix blew them out of the water, she had caught herself licking her fangs multiple times.

She knew this was just her natural reaction, human blood is supposedly incredibly tasty.

Her attention was pulled to the sound of Felix's gear, it was a soft but characteristic sound, the shadows forming into three figures that made her grit her teeth.

"Since when can you make those?" she asked her eyes focused on the monster's pure white claws, she still felt the phantom pains of being slashed by those, they weren't normal that much she could tell.

"Not long at all actually" he said scratching his chin in thought "They are a recent development but one I am quite proud of" he continued with a smug grin.

It was a pretty slapable expression but given the results, his monsters had brought she couldn't actually complain.

"What are you going to do with those three" she asked hiding her blush as she saw him stretch, she had been successful at ignoring some of the more uncouth aspects of her maturity.

But her lack of experience with the other sex made itself obvious as her eyes traced Felix's muscles as they moved, yesterday's image was still clear as well when someone accidentally crashed against Felix, covering his white shirt with a purple drink.

Felix had almost tried to beat up the terrified low class fallen, but the girls managed to calm him down leaving the guy with only mental trauma from Felix's collection of insults.

"I'm training with them of course" answered Felix making her eyes snap back up to his.

"Wait! with three of them!?" she fought in a losing effort against ONE of them, fighting three was an outrageous idea.

"Yup, you need crazy training, to get crazy strong in this world" he said with a sigh.

"Are you one of those training obsessed people" there were some crazy people like that out there, that kind of commitment to training was really rare in the supernatural world for some reason.

"God no, I hate training" he surprisingly answered making her raise an eyebrow prompting him to continue "I hate pain, dislike the soreness, and find being sweaty quite disgusting"

"Honestly just imagining coming here tomorrow to do it all over again leaves a sour taste in my mouth" he grimaced as if doing exactly that.

"Then why?" what could possibly drive him to train like this if he hated the act so much?

"Money of course!" He started laughing loudly, turning into cackling as he saw her disappointed expression.

"Money! Really only that!?" that couldn't be enough for all of this.

"No, it isn't only the money" Moka once again perked up, maybe he had some dream or goal that needed the money?

"I want to use the money to buy stuff obviously! A huge manor, the finest of foods to have my needs tended by my servants and much MUCH more!" though he said with great vigor, it kind of fell flat on her.

After all she grew up with all that, she was never forced to clean her family's manor, of course she wasn't!

"That sounds hollow"Moka didn't hesitate to comment, uncaring of how rude it may sound.

"That's because it is" Felix commented with a simple shrug, making her eyes widen, he follows a hollow dream on purpose? That's madness.

"But then again you are missing the point" he said as he touched his toes with his finger "I suppose it makes sense, I doubt you have ever lacked any basic necessity"

"I want to experience the best this world has to offer me, to be faced with the most delicious food and most breathtaking sights from every faction and country under the sun" Like an explorer, she supposes she can see the allure to that.

"I also want to live a carefree life, lazy but not TOO lazy" her lips thinned at that, she really didn't see the allure to slothing your life away more so by a human with their already short lives.

"I'm sorry but you lost me" she admitted, surprisingly getting a smile out of him.

"That's fine, it's MY dream after all, you can agree or disagree with it as much as your heart desires, it just so happens that my heart desires an easy life" He laughed again finally finishing his stretching now bouncing on the balls of his feet.

"You have been really open about this" most people aren't so quick to explain their dreams like this, it was part of why she found herself acting so awkwardly during conversations with him.

She could deal with the slimy fallen that thought she would be easy to charm, the bastards probably thought that they could get access to either her body or family's fortune with some honeyed words.

Like that would work on her, and even if it did her father would kill them the moment they entered the castle.

"I try to be honest when I can, to lie just for lying sake is pretty depressing, I'm greedy and vane but I also try to make my thoughts and desires clear when it isn't dumb or dangerous to do so" what a weird man.

"Besides we are part of a team now! and that means something to me even if I may have seemed rough yesterday" He started moving to one of the training areas inside the room as he spoke.

"You may not share my aspirations and that's perfectly fine, I will still try to help you accomplish whatever dream you hold"

"Why would you do that? Most monsters see it as a weakness" she said with a raised eyebrow.

"I don't give a fuck about what monsters would think of me or in general " he vulgarly said stunning her for a second.

"They can live their shitty lives with their animalistic ideals all they want, I'm human and will live like one, if they think that is wrong they can check my opinion of them at the bottom of my revolvers' barrel" she wasn't sure how that comment made her feel on one hand she herself was a monster (though with how vague that term was it meant very little) but there was a certain appeal to such a way of living.

She was always proud of her vampiric nature, shouldn't her as a vampire then strive to live life the freest possible?

"I see, while I appreciate that, I don't really have any huge dreams" Nothing like experiencing all of the world's cultures anyway.

"That's fine, I wouldn't really call what I have a dream, more like a desire, maybe I will stop at one point to settle down with some beautiful woman and have children and whatnot" she couldn't contain her blush at the direction the conversation had suddenly taken.

"Anyway the point is that to achieve that dream, I will need to be strong so that's why I train even though I find it annoying as fuck"

"You sound as if someone would try to stop you" his desire to experience the world was actually quite tame compared to other ambitions, most of them involving a considerable amount of death.

"I am a Longinus wielder, it comes with a LOT of benefits of course but also people who would want nothing more than turn me into a tool for their ambitions"

"That sounds like you already know who they are" she questioned, it would be good to know if Felix had any enemies since they were going to be a team.

"I know a lot of them but they are surely more that I don't know about, no point worrying now though I will just have to be ready when they try, any attempt to enslave me will be met with a very painful end" she got some goosebumps at how he said it but mainly at the holy aura his monsters released as he said it.

It was nothing major just enough to unnerve someone like her, Felix didn't seem to notice it.

"Well this has been a lovely conversation but I do need to actually train" the monsters moved around him almost as if they had a hivemind surrounding him.

"Wait!" she said before the fight got started "Can you summon a monster for me?" He raised an eyebrow but nodded in a couple of seconds a new copy of the monster had appeared.

"Her name is Beru by the way" she looked at him trying to discern if he was joking or not.

No, he was being completely serious, what kind of leader did she end up with?

She ended up training with her monster for almost an hour and a half, she could feel herself connecting more often, but that was more due to her growing familiarity with 'Beru's' attack pattern.

She supposed that if improvement was that easy then everyone would be ultimate-class.

The high-paced combat left her panting for breath on the ground, sweat covering her body.

From her position on the ground, she was able to witness Felix, the man was showing remarkable footwork, changing angles and directions constantly to dodge as many attacks as possible, redirecting those he couldn't.

He was too slippery, like trying to catch an eel barehanded it wasn't that he was faster than his monsters though he was absurdly fast for a human (to the point she started having doubts about how human he actually was), he didn't have his guns, focusing almost entirely on dodging.

It gave her some insight into the type of fighter Felix was, the logical route when fighting someone who can summon more fighters would be to focus on the summoner and beat them as quickly as possible. Clearly, that strategy though sound in theory would be hard to put into action against him.

He obviously knew the weakness of his gear, the lack of actual personal benefit to the user and worked with it, someone too much stronger than him could simply dodge his monsters and beat him but that wasn't a bad point against him in particular simply a fact of life.

She observed him as he trained, until he finally stopped, having recovered from her exhaustion, the two walked away to the showers and she barely managed to not ask him for a sip of his blood.

It was too early to do that with him yet, even if he smelled delicious.

Felix's POV

"Is this the correct way?" I asked Keiko as I walked into the section of the building.

"Yup, just taking the elevator up and we will be there" answered the werewolf girl looking much better than early in the morning.

"You know now that we are a team we could get a nice name, team Felix is kind of dry" I commented as we squeezed into the elevator.

"There are six of us, what group has six people?" I asked trying to get some inspiration.

"The OG Power Rangers are six" threw out Keiko making me blink before rushing to claim my right as a leader

"I'm the red one!" Only to be beaten to it by Mittelt.

"Oh fucking dammit!" I cursed, just as we reached the floor, getting some weird looks from the people around us.

They were different from what I normally see around the Grigori, less fallen for some reason, a lot of what I believe are youkai roaming around, how odd.

Why would Kokabiel's division be the most racially diverse?

"Ah, I never tire of the smell of this place, come on! let's go greet Jhon he is my inside man!" Keiko said bubbling in excitement jogging into one of the receptionist's cubicles.

I let Jeff fly around the area getting the attention of a few people but only for a second, there were all kinds around here, some seemed like battle-hardened warriors, others like bookish nerds we even passed by a minotaur in a business suit that was around the same size as Beru an equally huge baseball bat strapped to his back 'Medicine Stick' engraved through it. I could appreciate the style.

"Ugh, don't look at that guy I stood him up once and he has been creepy ever since" whined Raynare subtly pointing at a fallen dressed on a trenchcoat and fedora, he seems familiar somehow.

Also, standing the guy up sounds? sounds like something he brought on herself.

Despite Raynare's best attempts, the man managed to find us, looking at Raynare throwing a weird as a wink and blowing a kiss at her.

Raynare gagged and duck the imaginary kiss, getting a chuckle from me.

The man's expression soured as he found me, surrounded by women he quickly started glaring at me.

Oh! know I remember! his face resembles Ichiya's from Fairy Tail, that's hilarious!

I flipped him off as I walked, mouthing 'Get Fucked' to him as I did so, his expression turning so furious it seemed like his veins would explode.

"Stop talking about Raynare's boyfriend we are here!" Impatiently continued Keiko getting a glare from Raynare in return and a giggle from Kalawarner.

"Hey, Jhon my man! how are things with the wife, I heard little Timmy got into trouble last week, something to do with setting a couch on fire!?" Keiko spoke quickly enough to leave some people blinking.

The person she was talking to was… oh no, no it can't be!

"Hello to you too… Keiko" the man said slowly moving her hand to shake Keiko's, it took almost 10 seconds for it to reach.

Nah, someone must be fucking with me! there is no way they put a goddamn sloth youkai behind the desk!

"Yeah Timmothy somehow ended with a canister of gasoline" he continued speaking with Keiko, my eyes widening at how slow he was managing to speak his facial expressions moving just as slow.

I looked at the rest of my team, Moka's eyes were as wide as mine, Mittelt had already managed to distract herself with a phone game. Kalawarner and Raynare were just staring awkwardly at what was happening.

"Sad to hear that! luckily only 15 people were hurt" Keiko continued the conversation which had gone to a weird place.

"True but now he isn't allowed on a 1-kilometer radius of any Mc. Donalds" the fuck did I miss?

"Hurry it up" I whisper harshly to Keiko with a quick elbow to her ribs.

"Yeah yeah don't get your panties twisted" she waved me off looking back at Jhon.

"Hey, man can you believe I'm on a team now! we are taking our first mission together what do ya have back there for us!" fucking finally.

"Name and registration please"

"Team Felix, a subdivision of Squad 2" I quickly say, I'm getting excited thinking about the possibilities, maybe hunt a dragon?

"Mhm let's see here" he started typing on the pc he had, slowly with only his index fingers, my hand reflexively twitched to my revolvers before I contained myself.

"Ah yes, Team Felix, a C-rank team established last night, team leader Felix, no surname also C-rank" the fuck do you mean by c-rank!?

"What? are you sure about that Jhon, remember I'm A-rank" spoke Keiko in surprise.

"That is just standard procedure Keiko, all new teams start with the leader's assigned ranking" oh fuck me on a cactus.

"What are these rankings?" said Moka in innocent confusion.

"All hunter teams, as well as hunter themselves, are ranked by a letter ranking" Quickly said Mittelt, probably seeking to avoid getting the explanation from Jhon.

"C-rank is where we are that assigned to those who have shown themselves only capable of handling low-class threats, some magical animals and generic criminals mostly" that's bullshit my Berus would clean their mandibles with the bones of low-class threats.

"B-rank handles middles-class threats, here the threats grow stronger, most youkai are in here or below, there also come more complex missions like escort or tracking" Uhg, escort missions I'm already imagining the kind of people we will have to protect, my hand twitched to my revolvers again.

"A-rank as you probably can deduce deal with high-class targets, here you can find some dragons and leaders of criminal organizations, the risk is as high as the pay" it is impressive that Keiko reached this rank as a solo hunter, though I'm sure she picked her jobs very carefully.

"And then there is S-rank!" Keiko interrupted Mittelt, the small fallen pouting.

"Only the toughest, meanest son of bitches the Grigori has to offer get that rank, you can count those with the rank with one hand, they are capable of dealing with Ultimate-class being when working together" oh? so they could beat the Cadre in theory, minus Azazel they are all ultimate class.

Then again the gap between low ultimate and high ultimate class is huge.

"Well then I guess our team will become S-class" I simply declare making my teammates' eyes widen, I mean that is far from what I KNOW I can achieve, I know for sure I will reach Ultimate-class before canon starts.

"Idiot don't get ahead of yourself!" Mittelt grumbled "Ultimate-class is a pipe dream for almost all fallen, it isn't something you can just reach" I yawn as Mittelt continued her speech.

"I will go beyond Ultimate-class, that's a promise" that mentally is some weak ass shit, so what if the chances of a human reaching Ultimate-class are astronomical, if that old man Strada did it so can I, I will just have to cheat.

"Well all that talk aside" Keiko said with a wave of her hand "Mr. Beyond Ultimate-class will have to start with a humble C-rank bounty" I could see that being C-rank stung her pride.

"Well what do we have available, oh experienced master hunter"

"Don't know, these jobs change constantly this low on the ranks, what do you have for us Jhon!" Keiko smiled at the Youkai as they moved to their desktop pc.

Seeing the man start once again typing slowly with one finger at a time made the veins on my forehead throb.

I didn't even realize I was pulling out my gun, I only noticed once Keiko softly pushed my elbow down.

"Calm down, you delinquent, he is a friend" I calmed myself slightly I can wait some more, but I will definitely don't want to deal with this dude again, I am too impatient.

"There it is Keiko, your profile has been updated, you can use the app or I can tell you myself"

"The app will be enough thanks Jhon!" Keiko guided as to a bench while waving at her friend.

"There is an app?" I questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"Of course, there is one," Keiko said with a raised eyebrow of her own "What did you expect wanted posters everywhere? we are in the twenty-first century nobody uses those" I felt some heat gather on my cheeks that was definitely what I was expecting.

"Whatever, you should all download the app, getting a profile going is really easy" we all gathered around the bench, Keiko sitting in the middle showing us her profile, that's a lot of bounties completed!

"Hey I can't see!" Mittelt voice came from behind us, her small stature making it hard to see over anyone's shoulder.

"Oh come here you idiot" I grabbed the blonde by the back of her neck as if she was a cat, she even hissed at me as I dropped her on my lap.

"Shh, focus on the job" she blushed at the treatment and I'm sure I heard Kalawarner and Rayanre chuckling.

I of course 100% knew what I was doing.

"So what are the options?" I say ignoring how Mittelt squirmed on my lap, almost drawing a natural reaction out of me.

"Well there are as many options as fuck ups in the world," Keiko said making me snort, somethings don't change even between races.

"We can use the filter function to reduce the number to something more manageable, for example, I think we can agree that herb collection isn't out teams' strong point" she filtered out those options cutting some of the options.

"I personally would recommend a straightforward bounty at first, something in the Underworld" A lot of options were knocked out "Simple elimination bounties are best, so cut out all the ones that would have us kill the target in a specific manner" it probably said something about our group that we just assumed we would take a killing mission.

"And now we have a much more manageable amount!" Keiko said proudly as she showed us her results.

"Which one pays more" I quickly said getting some stares from the girls, I know we have the firepower to do any low-class bounty obviously it is just a matter of getting the most out of the experience.

Keiko ordered the list by bounty prize, the result got groans out of the girls but a grin out of me.

"Guess we are going goblin hunting!" apparently a nest of the little shits established itself near one of the Girgori's powerplants, the sum of money is considerable for a low-class job, but it is also an urgent task and probably will be taken by someone else soon.

"Ugh, goblins!? Really?" Whined Mittely hitting my face with her blonde twintails as she shook her head.

"What is wrong with goblins?" they are the classic first kill for any fantasy setting, that or the slime.

"They are disgusting!" said Raynare with a grimace "They live in disgusting mud huts that reek of goblin" added Kalawarner in disgust "And they taste horrible!" exclaimed Keiko getting weird looks from all five of us.

"Okay… well I can't say that I can relate to that, but goblins are famous for just how disgusting they are, they say that the smell of them sticks to your clothes for weeks!" Rallied back Mittelt doing some adorable puppy eyes in my direction.

I bonked her on the head cutting that shit out, Gobling Slayer what would you say about my teammates I wonder?

"I am the leader of this operation if I say we are hunting dirty little green people we do it" wait that came out weird.

I could see this would turn into a discussion but something took my attention on Keiko's phone screen.

"Keiko what does it say under the goblin quest? read it now" I order getting her to straighten her back.

"A group of six low-class devils calling themselves the Tunnel-snakes wanted only dead" Oh my! now isn't this a surprise?

"Huh, normally devil assassinations would be a higher ranking why is it… ah I get it now" Keiko started with a puzzled expression before seemingly solving said puzzle.

"What is it?" spoke Moka, the vampire girl had been mostly silent, it is adorable how socially incompetent she is but I will have to help her with it eventually, she seems to default to haughty vampire or awkward teen most of the time.

"Normally this kind of bounties would require more planning and a more specialized team killing a devil in the middle of devil territory can be a pain in the ass, especially in the capital" Keiko once again showed her experience it was clear why Azazel wanted her on my team "This group has been kicked out of devil territory due to their crimes and they are approaching fallen territory through the former Dantallion lands"

"Are they stupid? why would they go through there of all places?" Said Mittelt in astonishment.

I could agree a devil going there is just asking to be killed.

"It isn't like they have a choice dear" came Kalawarners calming voice "This exile they are forced to is just another way to kill them, it gives them a small chance to prove themselves strong but is mostly a death sentence.

"What's so special about the Dantallion lands?" Moka's knowledge about devil territories wasn't perfect, I of course focused a considerable portion of my time there, both because they were the main focus of the series and searching for the spliced fandoms.

"What was known as the Dantalion lands centuries ago goes by a different name nowadays" I start happy to finally be on the other end of the history classes.

"The Dantalions are one of the extinct 72 devil pillars, they were known for their exceptional warding skills, they were the backbone of a lot of devil operations as their wards were as powerful as they were versatile, the original Dantalion was particularly good being able to hide from even Seraphs with their wards" I give a quick recap of the family with Moka nodding as I went.

"Story goes that it was that same devil that brought the death of all his clan, supposedly the original Dantalion's skill was only matched by their degeneracy, they sought to sate their lust with progressively in progressively more perverse means" The original devils made the current ones (from the New or Old Satan faction doesn't matter) look like priests and nuns they were truly some of the worst the world had to offer.

"However he pushed his luck a too far when he set his sight on The Most Beautiful Woman in Heaven, Gabriel of the four Seraphs" ballsy move I can admit but ultimately his last.

"As much as the original Dantallion might have been a degenerate he was also very good at what he did, so he eventually managed to trap the seraph on his families manor with the intention of raping her till she fell from despair" seriously what the fuck is wrong with the supernatural and raping, my god.

"His ward would have been able to keep out even the devil Lucifer out, but God is much stronger than Lucifer, always has been" no need to mention that God is dead of course "The night that Dantallion thought all his most perverse would come true turned into his very own living nightmare"

"God, enraged by the audacity of this devil could not let this stand, they came down from their throne in Heaven, destroying every single protective ward that the Devil faction and the Dantalions had put in the protection of their homes, leaving the Underworld truly and completely defenseless to what was about to come" I was taught this in the Sigurd Institution actually, stories about God were really common there.

"God standing from on top the clouds on the Underworld, saw the Dantalion's center of power a temple to greed and debauchery the manor was as big as it was ostentatious a true show of devil greed and pride, it didn't take Gob but a wave of their hand to free their daughter sending her directly to Heaven with but a gesture"

"Now laying their eyes on the devil that had started all this, God observed the trembling figure of the Dantalion and spoke" I cleared my throat as I remembered how the angel that came to visit the institution said it.

"Blessed is they who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for they are truly their brother's keeper. And I will strike down upon thy with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my children! and you will know my name is the LORD! when I lay my vengeance upon thy" I still remember how excited the angel that came to us during our time of praying was when talking about this story, kind of weird given how young we were, then again nobody on that institution was normal.

"God, the proceeded to strike down the Dantalion Lands, holy fire, lighting, and light raining down from the heavens scorching the lands and destroying till the last trace of the Dantalion's once proud legacy was but ash on the wind their pride ultimately being their folly, the Devil Faction's morale never truly recovering after it as they now knew not to set their sight to high lest they got burned or so the story goes anyway" I finish with a wave of my hand.

"You don't believe it?" said Kalawarner intrigued, I just shrugged.

"It isn't that, something happened the Dantalion lands are currently unliveable for any devil, God's attack was so powerful that even centuries later the air is coated with light magic that is pretty hard evidence, I am just saying that the details could have been different I was taught the story by an angel after all" Angels can't really lie though so I doubt it is actually propaganda.

"That isn't important anyway, we shouldn't get out of topic " I said with a shake of my head "These devils were sent here due to.." I take a moment to read the mission details "Burning a devil family alive after the wife rejected the leader's advances" I winced as I finished reading it, fucking devils there are a few good ones but the majority are just pests.

"They got caught and sentenced to exile, probably with some considerable bribes to not get outright executed, not that it makes any difference" I conclude.

"Yup this kind of jobs aren't that rare," said Keiko with a shrug "Getting exiled is practically the same as getting killed, they are sent with nothing but their clothes on, and with their ability to teleport sealed, sometimes they are sent to Dragon Mountain to become snacks to the dragons, they also could be sent as 'training equipment' for some snotty-nosed young devil noble or as is the case currently, to the former Dantalion lands were Grigori Bounty Hunters move without a care and the light magic in the air weakens them" Quite brutal, I would honestly just kill them and be done with it.

"They are dead men walking basically" summarized Raynare with a snort.

"More or less yeah, and we are taking that bounty" the money is good but more importantly this will be a chance to get some devil samples, I wonder if I will be able to create a devil monster, their imagination-based magic system at my fingertips.

Oh yeah, I like the sound of that.

"If you say so" commented Keiko with a shrug I could see Mittelt sighing in relief, man goblins really aren't liked around here huh?

I had to actually download the app on my phone, being the team leader and all I was the only one with authority to actually accept the bounties.

"We are traveling there tomorrow at 9:00 AM get your shit together by then I will be working on a project for the rest of the day so don't bother me" I had one of my almost finished projects to finish, this one was lacking just the smallest of details but it would make a considerable difference on my combat effectiveness.

"Sure thing captain" chorused my team getting a satisfied nod from me, now I just need to enter a creative mindset a couple of beers and some good music should do it.

POV Kalawarner

She could feel herself smiling warmly as Mittelt laughed at a joke Raynare had made, a feeling she couldn't tire of.

"So then he went to me tipped his fedora and said 'M'lady'" Raynara laughed at her own imitation of the man getting more giggles out of Mittelt.

The three of them were resting on one of the king-sized beds Azazel had brought them this afternoon, sharing gossip and just talking the day away.

"Really Raynare I can't believe what you were thinking ever giving that guy the time of day" she commented, that guy was one of the creepiest she had ever seen.

"You know my luck! I just seem to attract shitty men" whined her old friend getting an amused chuckle out of her.

She did seem to get the attention of some questionable men.

"Luck at the bright side, it seems like Felix is acting as a pretty strong deterrent" of course he did the man was seen talking with Azazel so often that even the dumbest fallen understood it.

Azazel liked Felix, therefore messing with him was a very bad idea.

"Huh now that you mentioned it that loser left really easily today" wondered Raynare with a growing smirk.

"Most guys seemed pretty scared of Felix, it was pretty funny" continued Mittelt holding onto her black crow plushie the sight of it warming her heart as always.

"Of course they are, he has a Longinus, Azazel's approval and there are rumors that he beat Vali in a fight" and everyone knew how strong Vali was for his age and those that forget are quickly reminded by the little menace.

"Wow when you put it like that being on his team seems like a really big step up" Mittelt commented as if just realizing how well Felix had positioned himself in such a short amount of time.

"Maybe cause you two are always fighting like some old lovers" snarked Raynare getting a pillow to the face from a blushing Mittelt.

"Shut up! it isn't like I like him or anything!" Mittelt shouted reflexively, eyes widening once she noticed what she had just said.

Raynare laughed loudly as Mittelt tried and failed to hide her face.

"I can't believe you actually said that! you fucking tsundere" Kalawarner herself could help but let out a chuckle, who would have thought that anti-social 'I-don't-want-a-boyfriend' Mittelt would end up like this.

It was a change she approved of wholeheartedly, it was about time Mittelt started growing interested in the opposite sex she was 20 for crying out loud, a 20-year-old virgin fallen was as rare as an Excalibur piece.

"I can't say I blame you though, his body is quite nice and he still has some growing to do" oh right Raynare, had spent the night with Felix, she already knew they didn't have sex her friend was nowhere near as easy as her 'battle' outfit may suggest.

Raynare through decades of living together instantly got her meaning returning the same grin.

She knew what Azazel was planning when he made this team, she wasn't a genius capable of reading someone like him but she was old enough to start seeing patterns.

Azazel wanted for the girls in Team Felix to involve themselves romantically with Felix, not necessarily all of them (though with harems being so common it was quite possible).

Kalawarner was proud of being a fallen thanks to Azazel the man just represented them so well, while the church may force monogamy on a human and the devils may link a harem to an invisible collar Azazel wanted for it to manifest naturally all but ensuring that Felix would remain in the faction.

Some may grow to resent being used like this but Kalawarner had enough decades on her to understand the need.

It wasn't like Felix was a horrible person or at least he hasn't shown himself to be so yet.

"Though I must say this place is much better than our previous apartment!" Said Raynare, she wasn't sure where this had come from being distracted by her own thoughts.

"Definitely cleaner" Mittlet scoffed, making both of them wince, she had always been the tidiest of the three.

"And I won't be missing that annoying landlord" both of them nodded with good reason, the owner used to be a charming old fallen but he just had to go die on some mission leaving his perverted failure of a son as an owner.

The fool spent more time trying to perv on his female tenants than managing the place, they had caught him trying to peak multiple times, she had almost killed him once when she saw him sniffing Mittelt's panties.

Felix was a direct improvement in that regard, oh he wanted their bodies that much was obvious but he was calm and surprisingly well mannered about it.

The line of thought was interrupted from reaching any meaningful conclusion when the three of them heard a sound coming from upstairs.

"IS KING MIDAS HERE CAUSE I'M FUCKING GOLDEN!" that did it Kalawarner couldn't stop herself from laughing, Mittelt and Raynare, not fairing much better.

They proceeded to record as Felix's comments continued for almost 15 minutes, some gems like 'I'm Michelangelo!' to some curious lines like 'Take that Leonardo you third rate little weasel' leaving Kalawarner pondering who this Leonardo was.

It gave different look at the man named Felix, he was an odd mix of a professional hunter and carefree spirit that was quite refreshing most fallen leaned too much to one side if she was being honest being either too lazy and focused on their desires or boring career-focused individuals.

Only time would tell if her little family (and it was one even if neither of the three were good at expressing it) would do well under Felix's command.

And who knows if things went REALLY well then maybe Azazel's plan will end up coming to reality after all, she wasn't stupid the benefits of being on a relationship with a rising start like Felix were obvious.

Vali would probably be in a similar situation if he wasn't a half-devil and prone to acts of violence.

She does have that date with Felix to cash in on, she will wait to make a clearer judgment then.

She didn't survive 150 years in a world like this by rushing into things after all.

I wonder if anyone will be able to guess what exactly Felix made, it is probably his greatest breakthrough yet.
