You've Come Back = Naruto Uzumaki and Quinn Fabray pairing.
This is a Naruto and Glee crossover, specifically Naruto Uzumaki and Quinn Fabray. Honestly, I always think Naruto can be paired with any girl from any universe. In this story, for the sake of the plot, Quinn never gets pregnant but is still a player, including Finn, Sam, and Puck. This story has quite fluff in it, so enjoy!
CHAPTER 3 : CONFESSION
"Naruto, do you have someone back in the village?"
He was eating ramen when Quinn asked the question. The noodle still hanging at the edge of his mouth. He swallowed it first and answered. "Well, I have Sakura-chan, Kakashi-sensei, Tsunada-obaa-chan, Shizune-nee-chan,-" He was interrupted by the girl.
"No, Naruto, I mean like,.." Quinn's nervous, "I mean like, someone you're dating, a girlfriend?" Naruto raised his eyebrow in confusion due to the unusual question.
"Uhmm, no. Well, I liked Sakura-chan for a long time, y'know, but it seems she still has feelings for Sasuke," Naruto answered. "I mean, I've chased her since we're still Genin. But her heart will always be for Sasuke," Naruto has a sad smile plastered on his face and Quinn feel bad for asking the question, but before she could apologize, he continued. "Then there is Hinata, a shy Hyuga girl who has a crush on me since we're still academy students, I found out about her crush when I fight Pain, but even then I couldn't return the feeling she gave to me. I don't know why, it seems I'm waiting for someone. :ike my heart has made its choice," he looked directly into her eyes.
Is he? Quinn's heart was beating fast for anticipation. Did he just open up like that? for some reason, Quinn has the same problem when it comes to her boyfriend. She has been dating many guys, sleep with them, Finn, Sam, Puck, and others that were even not from her school, but nothing she deemed right with her. But as she realized what is it, the core of her problem is Naruto himself.
Naruto was her first love, even when she didn't know about it back then. When they met 10 years ago, it was Quinn's first real interaction with a boy. With Naruto's personality and behaviour, Quinn found comfort and safety every time she was with Naruto. They told each other anything and never keep secrets between them. Quinn realized why she never took a step further in her relationship with other guys because they weren't Naruto. Even though Quinn has had so many boyfriends since high school, Naruto will always be her heart's number one.
With that realization hitting her, she didn't even realise her face was so close to Naruto as both of them close their eyes, enjoying the scent of one another. Two lips from best friends crossing the line that blurring day by day. it was a short kiss, but in those brief time, they released every feeling they have for each other. The lips parted and they looked directly into each other's eyes, but Naruto quickly avoided the gaze and stand up.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, please forgive me," He stood up and quickly walked to the window.
"Naruto?" Quinn was confused, was he afraid? she needed to act fast before she lose him again. "Naruto?!" She moved slightly from her current position to reach the chair, but the chair moved away from her grasp and she fell to the floor. Her scream of agony and pain was loud enough for Naruto to realise what he was doing right now.
"Oh, Kami! Quinn!" He rushed to her and lifted her back to bed, but she shut her eyes tightly and groaned in pain. Naruto didn't have to worry about any breakthrough from the door due to the silencing seal. Naruto didn't have any medical ninjutsu, but with Kurama's power, he still has the ability to at least relieve the pain. Kurama please help me. He activated Nine-Tails Chakra Mode in his arm as it turned to gold and put his palm to Quinn's waist and moved it slowly to her legs, easing her pain. Quinn's breathe became steady but she still close her eyes. Her sweat was so profuse that it soaked the pillow under her head. Naruto released the mode and then looked for a spare pillow in the nearest wardrobe. When he returned with a new pillow, Quinn has a distant look at the window. With no word spoken, Naruto approached her bed and replace the soaked bed with the new one. Before he could leave again, Quinn spoke.
"Why did you run away ?" in a small voice.
"Look, Quinn, I'm sorry, I've crossed the line, I got carried away, and I don't want our friendship jeopardized," Naruto apologized with a frown as he looked everywhere but Quinn's eye.
"And I'm glad. I'm glad we crossed that line," Quinn said. She turned her eyes to the blonde boy, her eyes soften when she looked at those blue eyes.
"What?" he asked, holding his breath with anticipation. She patted her side of the bed, told Naruto to be closer to her. Naruto approached apprehensively. Naruto sat, but his back was facing Quinn. She continued.
"You hear me right, since we separated, I've been dating many guys, in and outside the school, but no one seems right to me," Quinn paused for a second finding the right word. "And that because of you, you know. You said that you can't love Hinata because your heart has made its choice. Well, so do I. My heart found peace with you," she took his hand in her. "I even have a crush on you," Naruto looked to her wide-eyed, "but that feeling never been said out loud, because we still two six-year-old brats at the time," Quinn said with a chuckle.
"So true," Naruto said with a smile.
"What I'm trying to say is, I love you," Quinn said affectionately as she rests her head on his shoulder, her hand on his back. "you're my first love, Naruto, and when I finally got the chance to be with you, for real this time, I can't just let you go. I want to be with you," Naruto spun around and without warning kissed her again with so much love. This is it. This is what he deserved all those years. There is no war, there is no mission, there is no conflict. Only feeling content to be with his precious person.
"You don't know how much I want to hear those words," Naruto said as they parted, he has tears in his eyes. Quinn wiped the tears with her thumbs as she smiled lovingly. "So what are we now? you are my beautiful girlfriend and I'm your awesome boyfriend?" Naruto rests his forehead against hers.
"How about gorgeous? But, I still expect dates and presents," Quinn demanded. Naruto just laughed.
"Haha, right," Naruto looked at his watch. "wew, looked what time is it, I think I should get going now," Quinn sighed heavily.
"Do you really need to leave?" Quinn asked.
"Yes, but don't be sad, we will get this through, together," He stand up and leaned down to her to kiss her one last time that night which Quinn gladly returned. "thank you for everything, I love you."
"Yeah, I love you too,"
"See yaa tomorrow!" Naruto shouted as he jumped out of the window, leaving the window opened up as usual. That night was Quinn's best night sleep in the hospital.
"I'm going to stay with you tonight," Santana declared when she visited Quinn today. She even has brought her essentials with her. "Before you say anything, your mother approves,"
"Mom?!" Quinn whined to her mother who didn't too far from them. It was the last day of her stay in hospital and tomorrow she will be released.
"What? I thought it will be great if Santana can accompany you this night," Mrs. Fabray answered
"Besides this is Saturday night, you should enjoy it as much everybody," Santana commented.
"Yeah, right," Quinn didn't bother with Santana presence tonight, but it was Naruto she was worried about. Knowing Santana, she will be bragging about Lima Heights Adjacent. And how Naruto will react when he arrived later that night? just thinking about it already gives her a headache. This will be a long night to be sure.
"So, I have a board of games here, which one do you want to play?" Santana asked as she unloaded her bag.
"Honestly, Santana. I was quite tired, I just wanna rest," Quinn laid her head on the pillow and looked outside the room to the night sky filled with stars and buildings of Lima, Ohio.
"looks like I'll be sleeping too then," Santana took the empty bed near the door and laid her head down. Both of them went to sleep easily.
The time is midnight when quietly the window opened and a shadow entered without any difficulty. He performed genjutsu which covered the room and continued to applied a silencing seal over the room. He looked at the whole room and finds out that Quinn wasn't alone. There is another person with her, a girl, and from Quinn's description about her friends, this is Santana Lopez. Naruto's original plan was to take Quinn outside the hospital bride style, enjoying the cold weather of Lima's evening. A cliche way to spend the night with your girl. But Naruto has another plan that just came up. He has those cunning lopsided grin as he pulled out the kunai from his pouch. Oh, this is going to be a good prank!
He walked stealthily, crossing Quinn's sleeping bed. He arrived at his target and walked around behind the body. Swiftly, he covered Santana's mouth with his hands, aimed his kunai at her neck, and to his expectation, Santana was startled by the sudden movement and produced a muffled sound from her mouth. Before she could scream, Naruto whispered to her.
"Quiet! Or you'll die before you said 'no!'" Naruto whispered menacingly. But the action also brought Quinn to wake up, turned around, and looked at the scene before her. Santana's eyes told her fear and worried about what happened to them. Quinn's eyes widen. Really?. Looking back and forth at the fiasco happening on her last night in the hospital. At least Naruto has applied the seal.
"Naruto, release her, now!" Quinn said with a threatening tone as he glared at Naruto. Of course, this is something Naruto would do. If Santana's eyes can get any bigger, it sure does because not only Quinn was so relaxed with their current situation, but for a fact that Quinn knew their attacker.
"Oh, come on, where is the fun in that?" Naruto moaned and groaned but still in his pranking position, covering Santana's mouth with her hand and kunai aimed to her neck.
"Your prank scared her, Naruto," Quinn said scolding her boyfriend. They just get together and this is Naruto's first impression of her friends? God save her. Reluctantly Naruto let Santana go and moved swiftly to Quinn's side. He still holds his laughter.
"Ok, ok, there you go," He said when he uncovered her mouth and released her. Santana's first reaction was screaming which made the blonde couple flinched. She then tries to get to the door and call for security.
"Santana, wait!" Quinn's voice fall to deaf ears but Naruto was faster as he grab Santana and put her down to her bed.
"What do you mean?! There is a stranger in our room and you act as you know him all along!" Santana tried to break free from Naruto's strong grip. She's thrashing around about Lima Height Adjacent like a banshee.
"That's because it's true!" Quinn said.
"What didi you say?" Santana stop her struggle and was dumbfounded in confusion.
"Just let me explain it, please? Calm down and he will let you go. Naruto let her go," and Naruto did. Santana who was still shocked straighten her clothes and crossed her arms, tapping her legs.
"You should look at your face when it happened," Naruto said with a chuckle. Quinn glared at him.
"Naruto, do you mind?" Naruto whistle innocently to the ceiling.
"Explain, now!" Santana said in her bossy manner. So Quinn explained everything that happened from their first encounter at 6, and they separate for 10 years before met again when Quinn entered the hospital on the first night. She told who Naruto really is, where he's came from, and how everything went to this moment.
"...So last night, we become a couple," Quinn said with a smile and gifted by a kiss on the head from Naruto. Santana was astonished by their story. From her point of view, it was a fairy tale for kids who have big dreams. Or a little princess who was saved by their knights in shining armour (ninja in this case). But to see it in front of her now is unbelievable.
"Is this for real?" they nodded. But another question come to her mind, "Wait, why did no one come after all our fiasco?"
"Tell her," Quinn gestured to Naruto. So he told Santana what he told about silencing seal and genjutsu.
"I don't know what to believe anymore, here you are, recovering in the hospital for almost a week, and got visited every night by this so-called shinobi who have magical abilities who you said to be your first friend-now-turned-boyfriend. Really?" They nodded again simultaneously.
"I didn't expect you to instantly accept him, Santana. But just give Naruto a change," Quinn said.
"And why's that?"
"Because I love her, with all my heart," Naruto said confidently.
"And what do you know about love, you half-Asian? You just as old as we are!"
"Santana! That's not called for!" Quinn defended him, but before she could say any more, Naruto beat it to her.
"No, you're right," Quinn looked at him incredulously and Santana raised her eyebrow. "You're right when you said I didn't know about love, I never had a girlfriend before. But believe me when I said I will cherish someone precious to me, and Quinn is the one," Naruto finished in conviction. Santana sighed again.
"Look, I'm sorry for the outburst, I just want the best for Quinn's here," Santana said as Naruto nodded in understanding.
"So just can we put this all behind and start all over again?" Naruto asked as he give his hand to shake. "Hello, my name is Naruto Uzumaki and I'm Quinn's boyfriend, y'know!" He said grinning.
Santana cannot hold her smile as she shook Naruto's hand. "My name is Santana Lopez and I'm Quinn's friend, nice to meet you, Naruto." So the night continued as the three of them get to know each other again, mostly Santana and Naruto. Quinn's left first to sleep, leaving Naruto and Santana sitting on the bed.
"I know I maybe not the best for Quinn, but she's my first friend and I didn't want to lose her anymore, I ask you the favour to watch her over for me," Naruto said looking at Quinn's sleeping face. She's cute when she sleeps.
"I know, so you better make her happy or else?" She let the sentence hang as Naruto chuckled.
"I need to go back, can I ask one more favour?" he asked.
"What is it?"
"This will change Quinn's life forever, so please keep the secret between us, y'know, at least for a while. When all these are revealed, I want it to be in my and Quinn's best interest," Naruto smiled softly to Santana as he jumped to the window, "Well, see you another time, good night!" and he left the room into the darkness of night.
"No wonder Quinn fell for her," Santana commented as she looked to where Naruto stood.
It was the last day in the hospital. Quinn's time for recovery in the hospital come to an end. The last morning started with bright sunshine over Lima, Ohio at eight in the morning. Santana got up first and made her bed proceeded to woke Quinn up.
"Wake up, Quinn, it's eight in the morning," Santana said. Quinn rubbed her eyes and opened them slowly.
"Naruto left?" Quinn asked as she looked around the room. She hopes at least for her last night, he will stay with her.
"Yes, he is, don't worry, you'll meet him soon,"
"How do you know that?"
"A hunch," Santana shrugged her shoulder. "I'll bring you breakfast, your mother will come to pick you up with the final examination," Santana said as she left the room to brought Quinn's breakfast. Santana returned, but not alone, doctor Winston and a nurse accompanied her.
"Good morning, Quinn," the doctor said. "This is your last day here, so we will do our final examination," the doctor and the nurse began their questioning and noted important things. As they finished, they nodded to the girls and left, but told them before they'll be back. Quinn ate her breakfast. The doctor returned with Quinn's mother. The doctor brought a wheelchair with him and parked it beside her bed. Quinn with fierce determination try to stand up, even for barely, to the wheelchair. Her legs were still shaken. But from the reactions of people around, it was good progress.
"Oh my god! I can't believe it!" the doctor said.
"Good lord!" her mother exclaimed. While Santana screamed something in Latin. But Quinn couldn't hold it for any longer as she collapsed to the wheelchair, panting heavily. They left the hospital that day with several medicines to accelerate Quinn's recovery. When they arrived in the parking lot, they never saw Naruto in a grey mantle, dark glass, hoodie covering his face, across the street watching their movement as he has a small smile on his face. Quinn looked to Naruto's position but saw no one there.
"Something wrong, dear?" her mother asked gently.
"No, nothing at all," Quinn said as she got into the car.
