After their improvised concert, Reese and her friends followed Owen to the Gyrospheres. Owen wanted to show Valentina the best spots around Jurassic World and spend excellent times together while Reese and her friends wanted to rehearse for the Christmas singing contest set up by Mark Norell High School. While Owen and Valentina were having a blast together at the Gyrosphere with Owen driving the vehicle as Valentina smiled at the dinosaurs in the field, Reese and her friends Rhea, Mark and Beverly were having their own blast rehearsing in the shed near the ride. After a moment at the gyrosphere, Reese and her friends followed Owen as he was carrying Valentina to the Cretaceous Cruise, an attraction featuring kayaks so the visitors could see dinosaurs up close while streaming down the river by padling one of the kayaks.

As Owen was paddling his kayak followed by Reese and her friends, Valentina waved at the dinosaurs. The animals then looked at the toddler as Owen paddled faster and faster, much to everyone else's amusement. Reese and her friends then laughed while shaking their head. Soon after the kayak ride, a tired Owen and Valentina went home while Reese and her friends to Mark's father bar in Main Street to train for their school's Christmas contest. Owen and his niece ate at a nearby restaurant before heading home. Reese and her friends then went to Reese's home just as Owen had finished to wash his niece before tucking her into bed. Owen gently patted his niece as Valentina fell asleep only to see Beverly explaining to him she and the others would take Valentina with them tomorrow via sign language. Owen nodded, knowing everyone else would be busy. Whether it Takashi Hamada, the leader of the Animal Containment Unit, Zara Young, Claire's devoted assistant or Dr. Henry Wu, the chief of Science Department of the park.

Dr. Henry Wu had indeed asked that Reese and her friends to help him with the new dinosaur, since neither he or his colleagues could help these animals hatch for reasons he didn't know yet. So the scientist asked Claire to tell Reese and her friends if they could come or not. If the teens could, then perfect. If not, then let it be.

Speaking of Henry Wu, he was alongside some colleagues at the labs watching over the two eggs supposed to hatch and being monitored 24/7. He and the others were making sure the eggs were kept at the right temperatures before nurturing them. But he knew he needed someone to take care of the dinosaurs, so he patiently waited while his assistant, Dr. Ryan Crest, took notes about the eggs. Just as Wu took his daily cup of tea, he saw Reese, Mark, Rhea and Beverly coming inside the labs with a toddler inbetween them. Remembering news that Owen Grady lost both his brother and sister-in-law, Wu knew the toddler wearing pink sneakers, overall and a pink t-shirt was Valentina, Owen's niece.

"Wow. You're early as I can see!" Wu exclaimed to Reese and her friends.

"Yes, Dr. Phil. We had to. Apparently, Claire tipped you we had nothing to do for three weeks straight." Beverly answered.

"That's right. And your parents confirmed to her. So I suppose the... kid..." Wu replied with a hint of sadness.

"Yeah. But on to our eggs, shall we?" Reese confirmed picking up her cousin.

"Good idea. But the video of you singing in Tani's exhibit got serious backlash. Many think you can't win your school's Christmas contest." Wu told Reese.

"Tell them to go fuck themselves." Rhea replied as Wu led the teens to the two eggs.

Valentina saw the two eggs, too. And she was sat on a chair nearby by Reese, who then began brainstorming solutions with her friends and Wu. As many scientists were busy working with pieces of amber and many other eggs to create other dinosaurs, Valentina began singing 'The ants go marching one by one.', triggering tremors from the two unhatched eggs since the toddler saw how Reese, Mark, Rhea and Beverly managed to bring a huge snake next to the visitors by singing. But Valentina also curiously listened to the teenagers' conversations with Wu, who displayed charts to Reese and her friends.

"Yeah, so you sung and Tani came into the open! That's..." Wu said.

"Evolutionary we know. But there's so much more to discover." Rhea confirmed.

"True. But let's stay down to earth! Our hybrids, as the managers decided to call them, are currently prototypes to see if they are viable enough to be domesticated for entertainment purpose. I designed them with features from all dinosaurs in the park, all for the scary factors nothing else." Wu stated firmly.

"Yeah. Hoskins wants to use dinos as search dogs or weapons. So you basically tricked Hoskins by doing those hybrids. Very clever. Hitting two birds with the same stone." Mark answered.

"Yes, but this doesn't answer as to why these two eggs didn't hatch. The temperature's fine, humidity's perfect and timing's good. According to these charts they should have hatched." Beverly remarked.

"Yes. Bev's right. These eggs should have tremored right now." Reese confirmed, earning an affirmative nod from Wu.

Valentina then kept singing 'Twinkle twinkle little star' while wondering what these grown-up persons were talking about. But Valentina did remember Hoskins' name and seeing Wu and the teens' facial features, the toddler could know neither the scientist or the teens liked the man Hoskins. But Valentina was snapped of her thoughts by cracking sounds. Turning around, Valentina saw two dinosaurs which were the product of mixing the T-Rex, the Utahraptor, the Carnotaurus and the goshawk into one species. One of the two baby dinosaurs then chirped in distress, since the egg shell was still stuck on it's head. As Valentina sung 'Five little ducks' while removing the eggshell, Reese rushed to the eggs alongside her friends and Wu. They all saw the dinosaurs as Valentina was stroking their chin while giggling.

"I think singing helps hatching." Reese told as she picked the baby dinosaurs up.

"Yes. Let me introduce you Indominus Rex, our hybrids." Wu said as Reese put the two baby dinosaurs in a dog basket.

"Let's name them Julianne and Katie." Rhea said, referring to musicians Katie and Julianne Petersen.

A disapointed Valentina then pleaded, "Aw! Couwd we name them Iwis and Ivy.? Pwease!"

"Sorry. But a non-written tradition states the caretakers name the animals. Even the Indominus Rex hybrids." Beverly politely denied.

"Hybwids? Wike ligews and muwes? And thes dinosauws awe named In-do-mi-nus Wex. But why?" Valentina asked.

"Yeah, sorta. But I bet singing helped them feel confident." Mark explained.

"Not only they felt confident hearing some music, but they also felt safe and at home when Valentina sung her nurturing songs. Hence the fact that I'm writing down, we need music played into our loudspeakers." Wu confirmed to all.

Valentina then wondered what was happening when Claire, Vivian and Lowery suddenly came into the labs and saw Wu and the teens putting the two dinosaurs into a warm basket after temporarily taking them off the basket to make sure the two hybrids wouldn't eat anything other than meat. Reese was also feeding the two hybrids, named Katie and Julianne, with the rest of her breakfast before texting something to her father. Valentina found it gross to feed animals with meat.

"Here are our new dinosaurs. And thank you for your time kids." Claire warmly told Reese and her friends.

"No problem. But we should take some notes for their paddock." Reese answered.

"You could use Roberta the T-Rex as reference. Or should I say her pen." Lowery suggested.

"Good idea." Claire answered for him.

With that, they were about to go when Owen came running in the labs, having gotten a text from his daughter. The handler then met with Claire, who looked at him with an attitude. Owen then glared blankly at Claire, remembering how disastrious their previous date had been. But before he could say a thing, Reese snapped her fingers at Julianne before feeding her with another piece of meat. Reese did the same to Katie, earning a smile from her father.

"They'll know a finger snap means food." Wu explained.

"I see. Just like the Utahraptors and Owen. And since Masrani thought Owen and Reese had good relationships with the dinos, he asked me to tell you to keep them at your home while we build their paddock." Claire said.

"Wilco." Owen answered as he picked up his excited niece.

With that, Owen, Reese and her friends went out of the lab as Wu, the scientists, Claire, Vivian and Lowery began casual talks about dinosaurs. They knew they could make evolutionary discoveries. But they also knew they had to prevent these discoveries from falling into the wrong hands, in which case the consequences would be dire with nothing more than mankind's existence at stake. Just then, Wu remembered something and ran to Owen, catching him up.

"If you want some extra information, there's not a high school and an elementary school in the employees' village at Jurassic World. There's also a daycare." Wu informed Owen.

"Thanks for the hint, Wu. And did you?" Owen replied.

"Yes, I did. Hamada warned the daycare staff, don't worry." Wu replied before running back to the lab.

Reese then gave the basket containing Julianne and Katie to her cousin, who giggled as she took the scarf and began stroking the two hybrids.
