Owen, Wu, Reese, Beverly, Rhea and Mark were being lectured by Claire in the control room while Hamada kept an eye on Valentina and the two hybrids as Valentina was reading a baby book on a chair. Even if Valentina had good time with dinosaurs, it was non-OSHA compliant, since OSHA regulations explicitly forbid kids to get into paddocks. Claire had told them how they almost lost a little girl due to the close encounter with the T-Rex.
But the worst part was yet to come.
"And many tourists posted videos of Roberta the T-Rex licking Valentina. Inside Paddock 9. And guess where they posted these videos?" Claire stressed on the thing.
"YouTube, Facebook, Twitter. You name it." Beverly replied while watching the giant screen.
"That's it! Means more tourists for the park, but also more trouble! It's a twin-edged tool, since half million people saw the video!" Vivian told them.
"Gotta remind you Child Services found my brother's will." Owen reminded Claire, Vivian and Lowery.
Claire sighed in defeat, knowing Owen was right. Reese chuckled as she remembered something. Looking at the Compies, Julianne and Katie in their cage watching Valentina with envy, Reese remembered the checkup performed on her cousin at Wu's secret lab and raised her hand. Seeing this, Lowery pointed his hand at Reese, granting her the right to speak up.
"As matter of fact, we have an explanation for all the fuss. But we gotta keep the secret." Reese said.
"And? It is?" Lowery asked.
"Valentina's got a connection with dinosaurs. Which could be a new discovery of animal communication. And the dinosaurs were not even hostile with Valentina, even if I and my friends fired our weapons at them." Rhea explained to Lowery, Vivian and Claire.
"Not to mention, Roberta took the role of a surrogate mother to Julianne and Katie. Since it's dinosaur instinct." Mark further explained.
Claire, Vivian and Lowery couldn't believe what they heard. Until then, they thought dinosaurs in Jurassic World were so hostile towards any intruder into their paddock. The threesome now learned that Valentina could connect with dinosaurs, even the meanest and most dangerous of them. They now wanted to know a little more but they needed to keep the secret until further notice.
"Well, let's test the theory starting with..." Claire stated before hearing a helicopter incoming.
A few minutes later, an Indian man who was none other than the owner of Jurassic World came into the control room. Claire and the others shook hands with him before Masrani watched the huge screen. The delighted CEO then turned to Claire and the other people in the room. But Reese suspected Masrani had heard about Julianne and Katie the two hybrids.
"I know my arrival is a surprise, but I wanted to know about the progress of my park." Masrani stated. Noticing the cages, Masrani asked, "Ah, Dr. Wu! Are the new animals ready?"
"They are!" Wu stated as he watched Valentina look at the caged hybrids.
"Oh, and they imprinted on Owen's niece. Hard to believe but true." Beverly revealed.
"I see. Not mad?" Rhea replied.
"No, not at all. But the public wants to know HOW the kid did what she did. They call her the Little Jurassic Girl, the Little Isla Nublar Girl, the Little Dino Girl, the Little Nublar Girl. By the way, what's her name? I know you all know but not me." Masrani said.
"Name's Valentina Grady." Mark stated. Reese then continued while watching her cousin, "Valentina, meet Simon Masrani. Aka Dad's boss."
"Nice to meet you, Mw. Maswani." Valentina said.
Masrani then crouched to be at eye level with the dinosaurs and nodded to the animals. The CEO wasn't fazed by the way the animals looked at him since he liked their personality. Masrani then stood up and turned to Reese, her friends, Owen, Wu and Claire before Valentina watched the dinosaurs in their cage.
"I like what they look like, even if you didn't tell me their feather were white. But most importantly, our attraction will bring more people to the park. Since they want to see what we saw for themselves." Masrani explained them.
"They'll be grown a little faster than expected." Wu politely warned.
"Oh, and we got two applicants for the job at their future paddock. And there will be some changes to their paddock, which has been pre-checked for vulnerabilities." Reese said.
"Good! I will make sure Valentina can spend time with them, so I hired a home-school teacher for her, so her habits won't be disrupted." Masrani replied.
"Consider it done!" Claire enthusiasticly replied.
"Perfect! Now let's all get to work." Masrani politely instructed them all.
Masrani left the room before Claire and the others went to brainstorm their ideas about how to train dinosaurs. Just as Claire was about to talk, Reese took a sheet of paper and displayed it to Claire, who read it only to discover Reese and her father's relationship with dinosaurs was based upon respect and not control. The sheet also explained why Claire and Owen never had a second date, like Claire printing an itinerary for a night out, Claire never drinking tequila or Claire criticizing Owen and his daughter's outfit. Claire sighted in exasperation, knowing Reese's statement was partly right.
"Uncwe Owen! Weese! Can we go to the pawk? Pwease?!" Valentina pleaded.
"Good. But we will make sure you're safe!" Reese sternly told her cousin.
Owen picked his niece under her armpits and carries her in his arms as Reese nodded her friends goodbye. The teens then took their equipment and left the room, leaving Reese and her father in the control room. Claire then nodded, letting Wu, Owen and his daugher know they were free to leave. They walked to the elevator with Reese putting the hybrids in her cousin's pink bag before letting Hamada take the Compies for release in their paddock.
Some time later, Valentina was seen wearing a big pink Jurassic World t-shirt, miniature blue shorts and pink sandals. Reese had actually insisted to disguise Valentina as a boy, but the toddler flatly refused, since she found it fun to be famous. Reese knew what fame at an early age could bring as pros and cons, but Valentina didn't want to hear since her parents never taught her anything but what she wanted to listen. With that, Reese, her father and Wu walked towards the Jurassic World Lagoon with Owen carrying his niece.
Wondering if the animals there were there like the water parks where her mommy and daddy would bring her, Valentina watched as the crowd headed towards the bleachers. But what was in there was a 18-meter-long Mosasaurus, a marine reptile looking like the mix of a snake, a crocodile, a dolphin and a turtle. Reese also knew it was almost time for the Mosasaurus Feeding show, which consisted in feeding the Mosasaurus with dead sharks or chunks of meat. Once the bleachers were lowered, visitors were in an attraction named the Underwater Observatory to see Mosie the Mosasaurus up close. Everyone, minus Valentina, was wearing a waterproof poncho while Reese was wearing her own Olive Drab green poncho. Valentina jumped with excitement as she wanted to see Mosie up close. Suddenly, the announcer named Sarah spotted a dead shark hanging from a hook. Valentina felt sad for the dead shark while Reese and the others were patiently sitting in their bleachers.
"The Mosasaurus was believed to have hunted near the surface of the water where it hunted anything it could sink it's teeth on, including turtles, fish, squids and even smaller Mosasaurs." Sarah announced.
As the crowd whispered while waiting for Mosie, Reese stood guard with her M4A1 carbine.
"Okay, folks. Let's see if she's still hungry after already eating today. She's a little shy, so please be nice and give her a hand when she comes out." Sarah concluded.
Everyone waited silently for Mosie to jump to her food while Valentina was dropping some tears for the dead shark as Julianne and Katie peaked out of Valentina's bag. But before everyone knew it, Mosie suddenly bursted out of the water and snapped her jaws upon the dead shark before dragging it below the water and splashing everyone. The audience clapped and cheared upon seeing this while Reese remained stone cold. Valentina silently cried as she saw the shark being swallowed but was also excited to see the Mosasaurus while the two Indominus Rexes were soaked as was Valentina. Owen and Wu were relieved to wear ponchos while the bleachers moved downwards.
"Okay, hold on tight. We're going to give an even closer look at the Mosasaurus." Sarah explained.
When the bleachers stopped moving as they reached the bottom, the audience was sitting in the Underwater Observatory, watching the huge Mosasaurus. Everyone was cheering and clapping as Mosie caught the tail of the shark, rapidly swallowing it.
"Wow! She's big!" Valentina cheered at Mosie.
"Yes, she is." Owen confirmed to his niece.
As the show was over, Owen carried his niece over his shoulders as he, Wu and Reese headed towards Mosie's handler, Julia. Due to her excellent knowledge of maritime life, Julia was the perfect person to take of Mosie. Julia was at the Underwater Observatory studying Mosie, making sure the lagoon was at the right temperature so that Mosie could be okay.
"Yo, Jules." Reese greeted.
"Yo, Reese. I heard about your..." Julia replied.
"Don't worry. And is Mosie properly fed?" Owen asked.
"Yeah. Mosie's well-fed. But she eats mostly sharks, even if Mosie does eat tuna. But Mosie refuses to eat squids." Julia explained.
Rubbing his chin, Wu confirmed, "That's right. And it's indeed an issue. We gotta watch Mosie's diet."
"So up for sushi?" Reese jokingly asked.
"No. Not that. We're talking about something else." Julia replied.
But unbeknownst to them, Valentina was climbing the stairs alongside Julianne and Katie. Valentina wanted to see Mosie up close once again. The toddler and the hybrids walked to the platform near the glass tank and began searching for Mosie. They didn't take long before a dark silhouette came up to them at a slow pace. Valentina then giggled like the dumb girl she was as she realized the silhouette was actually Mosie. The two hybrids were challenging Mosie for drenching them while Reese, who had heard her cousin's giggles, came up the platform and caught the two hybrids by the rear of the skull. Reese saw Mosie, likely feeling something, watching at the giggling Valentina. Reese understood Mosie was actually investigating Valentina. Reese tod everyone to get ready for a nighttime experiment thanks to sign language. Julia, Owen and Wu nodded to this.
Later at night, Owen and Wu carried Valentina at the Mosasaurus Arena while Reese and Julia were already there. As the two groups met up, they saw Hoskins Reese's friends and Barry had joined them with scuba diving equipment. Hoskins then explained to Owen he finally decided to take another try for using the Utahraptors but not now. Owen was a little relieved before Wu and Barry told him Mosie may react with Valentina just like Roberta and the four Utahraptors, to which Owen and the others put their diving gear.
"Okay guys. We got a mic to record Mosie's screams as Baby Smurf talks to her while wearing the same brainwave helmet." Reese told everyone while gesturing to the equipment. "If there's something wrong, then we'll flash Mosie away so that you and the kid may come back. Any question?"
"Just one. Will Mosie attack Valentina?" Julia asked worriedly.
"No. We are thousand percent positive this won't happen." Hoskins replied.
"Plus I saw the Utahraptors kinda formed a connection with the kid." Barry concluded.
Owen then held his niece as he dived in the lagoon. They were lucky Hoskins had brought light while the water was at a constant warmth so that they could see Mosie coming at them. Speaking of Mosie, she was coming at Owen and his niece. Barry then saw Mosie freezing as she came to Owen thanks to the latter's mask camera. Just as Hoskins was holding the two hybrids in his arms, Valentina waved at Mosie, who looked at the toddler instead of Owen or the other persons behind the glass.
"Hi. I'm Vawentina. What's youw name?" Valentina asked.
Mosie then warbled something to Valentina much to everyone's surprise. Reese then watched Wu's monitor and saw the recorded sound was matched by Valentina's brain wave activity. Wu and Julia took notes while Hoskins and Barry watched in astonishment as Mosie kept warbling things they couldn't understand.
"You don't have a name?" Valentina asked.
Mosie then warbled her name much to Owen's shock, since was used to calling her Mosie. Hoskins, Barry, Wu, Julia and Reese's friends were astonished at seeing Valentina could communicate with Mosie like that. But Valentina wasn't surprised since she could speak with any animal. Reese was also shocked by the sight of what she saw.
"So, youw name is Mosie?" Valentina asked.
Mosie nodded. Hoskins and Barry nodded to let the others understand no one was halucinating. Everyone understood their experiment was another evolutionary discovery. One that could change the history of mankind.
