Sonic had no clue what to do with these strange creatures, but before he could think too long, Kris says to their team, "Susie! Sonic! Both of you defend!" Susie nods and crosses her arms in a X form. Sonic scoffs. "No way!" He says before holding up his fists, still clenching on the knives. "Just do what he says, idiot!" Susie yells while Kris shakes their head. "Not again…" They mutter before looking at his foes. "Fine! Sonic, do whatever! I'll try to convince them to stop fighting." They said before holding their arms up in the air. Before another word was said, they start to wiggle their entire body at the Werewires. Sonic looks dumbstruck. And he wants me to take orders from him? He thinks, but much to his surprise, the Werewire on the left starts to move along with Kris.
As soon as Kris stops wiggling, a light shine from their chest, projecting an 8-bit looking red heart. Sonic looks a bit confused before feeling a warm light in his chest. He places his hand over his chest before his own light was projected, forming the shape of a white, upside-down heart. "What's with the hearts?" He asks Susie, who's already projecting her monster heart. "Their a projection of our soul or something. Toothpaste boy would tell ya more if he was here." She says while Sonic internally questions who toothpaste boy is. Before he could ask, the formerly wiggling Werewire swings his arms, shooting out an arc of five snowball like bullets at the team.
Sonic easily jumps over the bullet and looks over at his new teammates. Kris also easily dodges the ball while Susie takes it head on, her body shaking due to the shock of the bullet. Sonic flinches as well, knowing full well what it's like to have electricity course thought one's body. Sonic lands on the ground, only to spy the werewire in the middle lift its hands. It forms a strange sort of gun with it's three finger hands, soon firing three lines of lasers from the fingertips, which quickly spread across the battlefield. The Lightner trio dodge to the best of their ability, but their souls get hit by one or two beams. Sonic groans, holding his side. "The hell?! Why are we hurting?!" Sonic hastily asks the two, wo where Susie replies. "Like I said, projection of our souls! If it shatters…" Sonic grimaces a bit. "We die." He says while Susie shrugs. "Eh, it's complicated."
Kris grunts as they get up, still holding on to their sword. They look over at Susie with a determined look. "Susie! Throw me at the Werewires!" They yell out while Suise looks confused. "Why?" She asks before Kris's idea dawns on him. She smiles and runs over to them, dodging more of the deadly lasers while Sonic looks at the two. "What are you two doing?" He asks while Susie effortlessly lifts Kris by the collar. "We're ACTing, dumbass!" She yells back while throwing Kris at the formerly wiggling Werewire's wire. Kris slashes the wire, loosening it greatly. They land behind the group of Darkners, who start to fire at them as they run back. "Sonic, spare the Werewire on the left!" They command while the blue blur gets annoyed. "How do I do that?" He asks while Susie scoffs. "Just point at a sparable enemy, rat." She states while Sonic grimaces at her, pointing at the slightly wiggling Werewire in the process. "Not a rat, a hedgehog. Also, how does pointing at a guy spa-" Before he could finish, he heard a sort of ding coming from the monster's direction. When he looks at the Werewire, it reverts to a plug boy before disappearing. Sonic shoots a look at Susie, who sports a shit eating grin. "Easy as that."
Sonic shakes his head and tightens the grips on his daggers. "So cutting the wire will help loosen the Queen's grip on these guys, right?" He asks before running up to the two, jumping up to avoid more beam attacks. Sonic then homing attacks at the wires, taking good swings out of both the Werewires' prisons. Susie scoffs a bit. "Not bad, but we still got two more sword swipes!" She says before grabbing Kris once more. She chucks them at the wires, which Kris swings at, greatly loosening the two Werewires. Before Kris even hits the ground, they point at the middle Werewire in midair while Susie points her ax to the rightmost monster, sparing the two and sending them away. The trio's projections disappear.
Kris lands right in front of Sonic, striking a triumphant pose. Sonic can't help but whistle. "That was tight!" He yells out while Susie smiles, walking over to the blue dudes while discarding her ax once more. "We can be pretty kick ass when we aren't kissing evil's feet." She says before getting up right up to the blue blur. "Though, where did you even come from? I've never seen you before." She says while Sonic scratches the back of his head. "Well…funny that you mention that…"
Before Sonic could even explain, six more Werewires drop in, surrounding the three. "Aw geez!" Sonic exclaims, drawing his daggers once more. Kris and Susie follow, ready for another fight that would never come. "Pacifya!" A soft, tender voice yells out, instantly putting the Werewires to sleep, sparing them. The trio looks dumbstuck before Susie looks behind them spying a certain friend. "Ralsei! You're here!" She says, drawing the two's attention. Sonic sees a small goat boy wearing a green robe with a assumed black undershirt, said robe also sporting a black inverted spade over his chest. Sonic assumes that this is Ralsei and walks over to meet him. "I felt a dark presence and hurried over!" He says to his two companions. "It seems that a new dark fountain has appeared…" He says in a grim tone before looking over at Sonic. "But at least you two have already made a new friend!" He says with a more hopeful look.
Susie shrugs. "I wouldn't say friend, but he did help us take care of those weird plug guys." She says while Ralsei smiles. "That's a friend in my book." He says before looking up at Sonic. "So, what's your name, kind stranger?" He asks while Sonic returns the smile. "I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog. And your Ralsei right?" The hedgehog asks while the goat boy nods. "Of course. The prince of darkness." He says, which gets Sonic excited. "Sweet! That means you know Blaze, right?!" He asks Ralsei, whose face grows some concern. "Ummm…I'm afraid not." He says while Sonic gets a bit closer. "Come on! I bet you princes and princesses have some sort of network with each other or something!" He said while Kris and Susie shoot him looks of confusion. "I'm only friends with one princess, I don't know how royalty works." He says while Ralsei sighs. "Sadly, I don't know anyone named Blaze. I've only started making friend yesterday." He says in a dour while looking back at the guilty hedgehog, who scratched the back of his head in shame. "Oh, sorry about that." He replies before Susie butts in.
"How about we save the chit chat for later? We gotta save Noelle!" She says before getting inbetween the two short mammals, pressing their faces away. "If we don't do something, she might be…" She states before Ralsei pokes out from behind her meaty hand. "Worry not, Susie! All we have to do is seal the Fountain!" He says before Susie lets go of the two. "…yeah. Yeah!" She declares. "Can't be mad about another adventure, right?!" She asks before shooting a look at Kris. "C'mon, Kris!" She yells in an excited tone.
The trio, as if on cue, jumps to the middle of the platform, spins around, and all three strike poses. Kris in the lead looks cool while folding his arms. Susie strikes a more adventurous tone with a raised fist, a closed right eye, and a big smirk. Ralsei just looks happy to be here, closing his eyes while smiling, waving his arms around while standing on one foot. Sonic…stares at the group with a confused gaze. "Uhhh…was I supposed to pose just then?" He says, feeling a bit embarrassed right now. "There be plenty of posing later." Kris says before the trio takes their normal walking stances. "For now, we're off!" Sonic smiles. "Yeah, what he said!" Kris looks at Sonic in an annoyed manner. "They." They say while Sonic blushes red in embarrassment. "Right, sorry." He says while Susie laughs once more. "Alright, let's go!"
