Achieving Goals-Chapter 12
The next morning, they were up bright and early. They were still getting used to the time difference. Rory, of course, had their agenda on her phone. The first minute she had after Logan told her he would take her on a tour of London, she did research.
They started off the tour by going to Buckingham Palace. Rory wanted to try to make the guard smile. After that, they took the double-decker bus tour. This tour included Trafalgar Square and Globe Theatre. Logan made a note to get tickets to play at the Globe Theater. When passing the London Eye, Logan told her they would visit that later today. He wants her to see the sights on the ground before she sees them from the air.
The tour guide pointed out Hyde Park. Rory tells Logan she would like to have a picnic there one day. Logan again made a mental note to ask his secretary about Hyde Park. When they crossed the London Bridge, they were told about the Thames River Cruise. Rory was bouncing up and down in her seat.
"Can we go on the cruise?" She asked Logan. He smiled and nodded. Making yet another mental note.
After the double-decker bus tour, it was getting close to lunchtime. Tea is more prominent in London than coffee. So Rory researched places that would have coffee.
"We can go to 'Kiss the Hippo's Richmond cafe' or 'Kapihan', Oh how far are we from 'Kapihan'? They have coffee from the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Myanmar. I want to try them all." She said Logan was laughing at her.
"Not today, I hope, not all at once," Logan said. She shook her head. "I think we are close to 'Workshop Coffee'. I believe they have sandwiches as well. Sound good?" He asked. She nodded. "We can visit the others later. Just remember, we will be here for 3 months this time."
They agreed to spend the summer in London. In return, Logan will be allowed two weeks' vacation. They will fly back to New York for one week. Logan has plans for the 2nd week. He just hasn't told Rory yet. They also have several weekends planned to explore.
After finishing lunch, they went to ride on the London Eye. Logan wanted her to be able to see the entire city. He would bring her back one night. London was beautiful at night.
It was getting late by the time they got home. Rory wanted to get home in time for Logan to rest up. Tomorrow will be his first day at work as a 'responsible adult'. This has been a running joke.
They entered the apartment Sunday night. The apartment belongs to HPG. It has 5 bedrooms and 3 baths. It was furnished by HPG. The furniture was not to Logan or Rory's taste, but it was just for a few months at a time.
Rory had just gotten out of the shower. She had been thinking that the living room would be better served if she moved some furniture around. She would run that by Logan to see what he thought.
"Hey, Logan," she said as she exited the bedroom. She was on her way to the living room. The layout of the apartment was open. The kitchen, living room and dining room are all open. She figured Logan would be in the kitchen.
When she got there, he was nowhere to be found. She called him again.
"Logan?" she was almost yelling. She returned to the bedroom. She was about to call him again when she noticed him on the balcony. He was talking on the phone. He had the phone to his ear with one hand but was using the other to gesture. He didn't look happy.
She returned to the living room. She did not want to eavesdrop on his phone call. She was sure it was business. She was sitting on the sofa reading a book when he returned.
"Hey, sorry, I was on the phone." He told her, "Wow, don't you live refreshed?" She smiled at him. She was sitting with her feet curled up on the sofa. She sat up and patted the seat next to her.
"You look tense." She told him. "Anything I can do to help?" She asked as she rubbed his shoulders. He sat there while she massaged his shoulders and neck. He was moaning. It felt so good. He grabbed her hands to stop her. He pulled her down into his lap and started kissing her.
"I have a solution to me being tense." He told her as he deepened the kiss. Oh, well, supper will have to wait.
