Achieving Goals-Chapter 19
When Rory woke up, the apartment was quiet. She went to the bathroom to freshen up. When she got to the living room, no one was there. There was a fresh pot of coffee in the kitchen. She fixed her a cup and stood to listen. She moved to the office. She could hear Logan talking. She knocked on the door. It didn't take long before the door opened. Logan was standing at the door with the phone to his ear. He motioned for Rory to come in. Rory took a seat while Logan finished up on the phone. While she was waiting, she was thinking back to yesterday and how crazy everything got.
Now she is awake on this Sunday morning. No one is in the apartment except Logan, and he seems to be too busy for her. She starts to get up, but Logan ends his phone call.
"Ace, I am glad you finally decided to join me," Logan told her. "I have plans for us today. Just the two of us. Are you interested?"
"Is that why the apartment is empty?" She asked. He laughed.
"No, Colin and Steph are going to Paris for a few days and Finn has business at the Mogan in town. He will stay there for the rest of the week."
"Okay, what are the plans?" She asked.
"It's a surprise." He told her. She stood up and sat in his lap. She kissed him with every intention of taking it further, but he stopped her.
"As much as I would like to continue this, we need to get ready or we will be late for our appointment." He told her. She was getting excited now.
"What appointment? Is the appointment my surprise?" she asked. He smiled and shook his head. This would never get old.
When they got to the bedroom, before Rory could ask him what to wear, he pulled a sundress out of the closet. She smiled. She approved.
The car was downstairs waiting on them. Rory was watching her surroundings. She knew that Logan would never tell her where they were going, but when they pulled up to Windsor Castle, she could not control herself anymore. She was bouncing up and down in the car seat. While the driver gave the guard at the gate their information.
Logan and Rory were greeted at the door by a butler. Logan told him they had brunch scheduled with William and Harry. Rory almost jumped out of her skin. She was so excited.
They were shown to the patio off the sitting room. Kate Middleton was sitting at the table drinking tea, while William and Harry were throwing a frisbee back and forth. Kate and Will had a very public breakup earlier this year. She had heard a rumor that they were back together.
Kate stood up and introduced herself, as did Rory and Logan. It wasn't long before William and Harry joined them. Rory was introduced to them. It seems Logan and Harry have been friends for quite a while. They met when they were children and Logan's grandpa and Prince Phillip had a business deal.
Rory and Logan enjoyed their day. Both had their phones off. Honor was the only one aware of where they were and how to get in touch in case of an emergency.
After spending most of the morning with Royalty, Logan then took Rory on a shopping spree. This was something he has been wanting to do. Monday morning, he would be back at work and Rory would have to deal with her parents and grandparents by herself. He wanted to make sure she knew he was behind her 100%.
When they got back to the apartment, they called Lorelai and Chris and asked if they wanted to come watch a few movies at the apartment. They agreed.
When they got there, Logan ordered pizza. Rory and Logan told them about visiting Will and Harry. Rory told her mom about how sweet Kate was. They ate pizza and watched movies. Before they left, Lorelai wanted to ask them about keeping Gigi while they were on their honeymoon.
"That shouldn't be a problem." Rory told her. "How long will you be gone?" Lorelai and Chris exchanged looks.
"Kiddo, we are going to be gone for three weeks." Chris told her. "Her nanny is with her." He said quickly.
Logan and Rory exchanged looks before Rory answered. He and Logan agreed Gigi could stay with them for the three weeks they would be gone.
The rest of the night was spent discussing the places they would visit on their honeymoon.
