"Think you got enough?" Steve asks as the nurse finishes drawing blood from our arms.

"Any hope of reproducing a program is locked in your genetic code. But without Dr. Erskine, it could take years." Peggy explains as I stand next to her. For some reason I can't seem to stay away from her, I feel this energy coming from her that attracts me to her making me want to be close. I feel it from some of the nurses too but it is not as strong compared to Peggy's.

"He deserved more than this," Steve says

"If it could work twice, he'd be proud it was you two," Peggy says and I look at her with a smile.

"Peggy can I talk to you about something…. Privately" I ask her. She nods her head with a confused look and walks us to an office.

"What do you need to talk about?" She asks me.

I take a deep breath preparing myself for this conversation. "I've been feeling different ever since I got the serum. It's like I feel this energy coming off of people that draws me in and it's hard to resist it" I tell her

"What does this energy feel like? Is it coming from everyone? Can you describe it?" She questions curiously.

"I don't know how to describe it, it's like a magnet drawing me in. I feel it more on some people than others, like with the nurses I barely feel it but it's so strong that I can't stand to be away when I'm with ..." I stop myself before I say too much.

"Who? Tell me who it is, maybe I can help you figure out what's going on." She gives me a concerned look.

"When I'm near you," I told her. "When I look at you or I hear your voice, I get this urge to be with you, to take you and make you mine," I say getting confident as I go on. "I want to do things to you that I have never done to anyone before. I want your body to be mine."

I look at her and her face is redder than I have ever seen. She takes a deep breath and clears her throat.

"Well, I don't know what it is you are feeling. Maybe we can ask Stark to look into it." She tells me as she tries to act professional but the look in her eyes tells me another thing. The energy that I feel from her multiplies.

I step closer to her "You don't feel it. This needs to be with me. Cause I think you do, see the serum gives us enhanced senses and I can hear your heartbeat racing, see the sweat starting to fall from your forehead, and that tells me that you want me just as bad as I want you." I reach my hand out and touch her. "Tell me the truth. Do you want me?" I ask as I rub my hand up her arm.

"Yes, I want you." She says and immediately slaps her hand over her mouth. "Why did I say that?" She asks, confused.

"I don't know, but I'm glad you did," I say as I lean in to kiss her. But before we can Steve walks into the room.

"Phillips and Brandt are here," He says looking at us confused. Peggy jumps away from me and starts to walk out of the room Steve and I following.

"HYDRA is the Nazi deep science division. It's led by Johann Schmidt. But he has much bigger ambitions." Peggy says as she enters the room with Stark and the rest of the men.

"HYDRA's practically a cult. They worship Schmidt, they think he's invincible." Phillips explains to Brandt.

"So what are you gonna do about it?" Brandt asks, looking at Phillips.

"Spoke to the president this morning. As of today, the SSR is being retasked." Phillips tells us.

"Colonel?" Peggy asks just as confused as us.

"We are taking the fight to HYDRA. Pack your bags, Agent Carter. You too, Stark. You're flying to London tonight." Phillips says. He doesn't include Steve and I and it further confuses us.

"Sir, if you're going after Schmidt, We want in," Steve tells Phillips

"You're an experiment. You're going to Alamogordo." Phillips orders

"The serum worked," I explain to him not understanding why we weren't being used to fight the war like we were told.

"I asked for an army and all I got was you two. You are not enough." Phillips tells us as he walks out of the room.

"With all due respect to the Colonel, I think we may be missing the point. I've seen you in action, Steve. More importantly, the country's seen it. Paper" Brandt tells his assistant. He shows us a paper of me and Steve when we were fighting with the Hydra guy. It says 'Nazis in New York - mystery man and woman saves child'. "The enlistment lines have been around the block since this picture hit the newsstands. You don't take a soldier, a symbol like that, and hide them in a lab. Do you two want to serve your country on the most important battlefield of the war?" Brandt asked us.

"Sir, that's all we want," Steve says hoping that he will give us a chance to fight on the battlefield.

"Then, congratulations. You two just got promoted." he shakes our hands and walks away.

"I don't know if I can do this," Steve says, looking at me. I agree, we are about to perform for some people to get them to buy bonds. This is not what we thought we were going to be doing when we got promoted.

"Nothing to it. Sell off a few bonds, bonds buy bullets, bullets kill Nazis. Bing bang boom. You're an American hero." Brandt's assistant tells us.

"It's just not how I pictured getting there," I say, disappointed. They have us wearing these costumes. They are long sleeve turtle necks with stripes on the bottom half, Steve has a white star in the middle of his and I have a heart that is colored like the American flag.

"The senator's got a lot of pull up on the hill. You play ball with us, you'll be leading your own platoon in no time. Steve takes the shield, Morgan takes the sword." He says as Steve starts to put on his mask as I admire the sword. Then we are pushed on stage.

As we get on stage we put on a performance about buying bonds for soldiers. Since we don't know our lines we read off of Steve's shield. While we read our lines the girls on the stage are dancing. Once the performance is over we do a meet and greet taking pictures with children and their parents.

We do many things to help recruit people like commercials and performances all around the states. But all we really want to do is fight in the war. That's why we tried so hard to sign up and why we got the serum in the first place.

Now we are in Italy giving a speech to real soldiers and it is not going well "How many of you are ready to help me sock old Adolf on the jaw?" Steve asks the crowd but gets no answer in return. "Okay. Uh… I need a volunteer." he says.

"I already volunteered! How do you think I got here? Bring back the girls!" one soldier yells from the crowd causing the other to laugh.

"I think they only know one song. But um…let me…I'll…I'll see what I can do." I say trying to call them down.

"You do that, sweetheart." the same guy yells. The crowd starts to get rowdy and they throw things at the stage so me and Steve leave and the girls go back on stage.

I am sitting alone on the stage when I hear "Hello Morgan." From on the side of me and I turn and see Peggy. I haven't seen her since Steve and I got 'promoted'.

"Hi, What are you doin' here?" I ask her.

"Officially I'm not here at all. That was quite a performance," she says as she sits down near the stage.

"Yeah. Uh… we had to improvise a little bit. Crowds that we are used to are usually more uh… twelve." I joke.

"I understand you're "America's New Hope"?" She asks

"Bond sales take a ten percent bump in every state I visit," I say what the Senator has told us many times.

"Is that Senator Brandt I hear?" Peggy jokes.

"At least he's got me doin' this. Phillips would have had to be stuck in the lab." I say trying to sound grateful for the situation, knowing I wanted more.

"And these are your only two options? A lab rat or a dancing monkey? You were meant for more than this, you know?" She tells me and I can't help but fill up with pride that she thanks that much of me.

"You know for the longest time I dreamed about coming overseas and being on the front lines. Serving my country. I finally get everything I wanted, and I'm wearing tights." I say disappointed in myself. When I imagined myself fighting a war it was actually being in a war, not dancing for it.

While we were talking soldiers come in from the front line, "They look like they've been through hell." I say looking at them.

"These men more than most. Schmidt sent out a force to Azzano. Two hundred men went up against him and less than fifty returned. Your audience contained what was left of the one-oh-seventh. The rest were killed or captured." Peggy says.

"The one-oh-seventh?" I ask, thinking about where I know that number from and then it hits me. Bucky's platoon.

"What?" Peggy asked, confused about my worry.

I don't answer her question, I just grab her hand and run towards the Colonel's tent. As we get there I see Steve nearby "Come on" I tell him and he looks up confused but walks along with us.

"Well, if it isn't the Star-Spangled Duo With A Plan. And what is your plan today?" Colonel says as I enter his tent with Peggy and Steve.

"I need the casualty list from Azzano." I rushed out to Phillips.

"You don't get to give me orders," he tells me with an attitude.

"I just need one name. Sergeant James Barnes from the hundred and seventh." I try, hoping that he will at least tell me about Bucky.

"You and I are gonna have a conversation later that you won't enjoy," he tells Peggy. Me not liking the way he talks to her I draw his attention away from her and to me.

"Please tell me if he's alive, sir. B-A-R…" I start but Phillips interrupts me.

"I can spell. I have signed more of these condolence letters today than I would care to count. But the name does sound familiar. I'm sorry." he says. That news breaks my heart. Bucky is dead. While I was dancing on a stage one of my best friends was fighting for our country and died.

"What about the others? Are you planning a rescue mission?" Steve asks the Colonel as we both try to keep our emotions in check.

"Yeah! It's called winning the war." Phillips states.

"But if you know where they are, why not at least…?" I try to suggest an idea but I am interrupted by Phillips.

"They're thirty miles behind the lines. Through the most heavily fortified territory in Europe. We'd lose more men than we'd save. But I don't expect you to understand that, because you're a chorus girl." Phillips sasses at us.

"I think I understand just fine," I say with attitude.

"Well then understand it somewhere else. If I read the posters correctly, you got someplace to be in thirty minutes." Phillip says as he walks away from us.

"Yes, sir. I do" I say as I stare at the map trying to remember it. I walk out of the room with Steve and we go to our tent to pack.

"What do you two plan to do? Walk to Austria?" Peggy says as she walks into our tent.

"If that's what it takes," I say as I continue to pack.

"You heard the Colonel, your friend is most likely dead." She tries to talk us out of it.

"You don't know that," Steve tells her, wishing for the best.

"Even so, he's devising a strategy. If he detects…" she says but I interrupt her.

"By the time he's done that, it could be too late! You told me you thought I was meant for more than this. Did you mean that?" I ask as I make my way to the Jeep, Peggy following behind me.

"Every word." She tells me and my heart fills with pride once more as I look at her.

"Then you gotta let me go," I say as I get into the Jeep.

"I can do more than that," she tells me.

Peggy was able to convince Stark to fly us to the place where Hydra was keeping the soldier captive.

"The HYDRA camp is in Krausberg, tucked between these two mountain ranges. It's a factory of some kind." She explains the plan to us.

"We should be able to drop you right on the doorstep," Stark says as he flys the plane.

"Just get me as close as you can. You know, you two are gonna be in a lot of trouble at the lab." I tell them.

"And you won't?" Peggy asks.

"Where I'm goin', if anybody yells at me Steve can just shoot 'em and I'll cut them to pieces," I say as I finish buckling my parachute.

"They will undoubtedly shoot back." She says, worried.

"Well, let's hope it's good for somethin'," Steve says referring to his shield.

Before she can respond Stark interrupts us, "Agent Carter, if we're not in too much of a hurry I thought we could stop off in Lucerne for a late-night fondue." I look at Peggy heartbroken. I thought I had a chance with her and all this time she has been with Stark.

"Stark is the best civilian pilot I've ever seen. He's mad enough to brave this airspace, we're lucky to have him." She says instead of answering Stark.

"So are you two…? Do you…? Fondue?" I point at her and Stark. She just stares at me.

"This is your transponder. Activate it when you're ready and the signal will lead us straight to you." She says instead of answering my question.

"Are you sure this thing works?" I ask Stark while I put the transponder in my pocket.

"It's been tested more than you, pal," Stark responds. All of a sudden bullets are being shot at the plane and everyone holds on to something. I tell Steve to let's go and we get ready to jump.

"Get back here! We're taking you all the way in." Peggy yells at us.

"As soon as I'm free, you turn this thing around and get the hell outta here!" I can't risk the plane getting shot down and her getting hurt.

"You can't give me orders!" She says stubbornly.

"The hell I can't! I'm a Captain!" I tell her and jump off of the plane.

When Steve and I land we run into the forest looking for where they are keeping the rest of the soldiers. We see a building with a fence around it and guards with guns.

As we are looking at the building a convoy makes its way past us and we jump onto the last truck. Once we get on the truck we see two Hydra soldiers. As they make their way to us we attack, Steve takes one and I take the other. We fight with them and throw them off of the truck.

Once we make it on base and the truck stops another soldier opens the back of the truck so I punch him and then we make a run inside of the building.

We get to where they are holding the prisoners and knock out the guard that is watching them. We start to take his keys when one of the soldiers as us, "Who are you supposed to be?"

"I'm… Captain America." Steve says and then points to me "This is Captain Dream."

We finally get the keys from the guard and make our way to the prisoner's gates to unlock them. We ask them where Bucky was and all they can tell us is that there is an isolated part of the factory that no one has come back from.

"All right. The tree line is northwest, 80 yards past the gate. Get out fast and give 'em hell. We'll meet you guys in the clearing with anybody else we find." Steve instructs the soldiers.

"Wait! You know what you're doin'?" One of the soldiers asked.

"Yeah. I've knocked out Adolf Hitler over two hundred times." I say referring to the shows we used to put on, as we leave to go find Bucky.

Steve and I make our way through the factory fighting as many guards as we can. Steve is shooting and hitting the guards with his shield while I am using my sword to kill anyone who comes my way.

We make it to the isolated area when we see a man running out of a room. We go to chase him when we hear a groan come from one of the rooms. We go inside and see Bucky strapped to a table mumbling to himself.

"I thought you were dead," Steve tells Bucky as we get him to stand up.

"I thought you were smaller." Bucky jokes.

"Come on," I say as we grab Bucky's arms and walk him out of the room.

"What happened to you two?" Bucky asks

"We joined the Army," Steve tells him.

"Did it hurt?" He asks, concerned.

"A little," I say.

"Is it permanent?" He continues to question.

"So far," Steve says

We are running through the building looking for an escape when suddenly a bomb goes off, and then another. We look over as more continue to go off and we run faster to find an escape route.

While we are running we see the leader of Hydra, "Captain America! Captain Dream! How exciting! I'm a great fan of your films. So Dr. Erskine managed it after all. Not exactly an improvement, but still impressive."

Steve punches him in the face making him stumble. Once he stands back up I punch him next. "You've got no idea," I say.

"Haven't I?" Schmidt says as he tries to punch Steve but he blocks him with his shield. When we look at the shield we see Schmidt's handprint in it and we know that he is stronger than we thought. He then punches Steve causing him to fall down and drop his gun, he tries to kick Steve but I push him away making him fall on the ground.

Before we are able to attack him the catwalk splits into two and Schmidt is on the other side of the room, "No matter what lies Erskine told you, you see I was his greatest success!" Schmidt says as he takes off his mask revealing Red Skull.

"You don't have one of those, do you?" Bucky asks us, looking scared and shocked.

"You are deluded, Captains. You two pretend to be a simple soldier, but in reality, you are just afraid to admit that we have left humanity behind. Unlike you, I embrace it proudly. Without fear!" Schmidt yells.

"Then how come you're running?" I ask Schmidt as he and Zola get in an elevator. He doesn't respond as the elevator closes and another explosion goes off. "Come on, let's go. Up." I tell Bucky so we can find a way to get out of the building.

We head up the stairs where there is a bar that leads to another exit. Bucky goes across it first taking it slowly so that he won't fall, once he is halfway across the bar starts to shake so Bucky speeds up and when he gets to the end the bar begins to break off so he jumps to the other side as the bar falls to the floor.

"Gotta be a rope or something!" Bucky yells across the room.

"Just go! Get out of here!" I yell hoping to at least save him.

"No! Not without you!" He yells. We looked around to see if there was a way and we only came up with one. We would have to jump to the other side and hope to make it and not fall into the fire. We move the bar out of our way and back up to get a running head start. As we run towards the other side another explosion goes off.
