The bus robber was hiding on a rooftop, rooting through a stolen purse. The crook never saw Miss Incredible's shadow looming over him.
"You can tell a lot about a woman by the contents of her purse. But maybe that's not what you had in mind," Miss Incredible said. The crook pulled a gun and backed away from the formidable hero. Whack! A punch seemed to come from nowhere, dropping the thief.
But the punch hadn't come from Miss Incredible.
Miss Incredible looked over her shoulder. Then she smiled. A handsome masked man smiled back.
"Elastiguy," she said knowingly.
"Miss Incredible," he replied as he stretched out an arm to lift the thug to his feet.
"It's all right," she told him. "I've got him."
"Sure you've got him," he said, snapping his arm back. "I just took him out for you."
The two heroes stepped back and playfully argued about who would take the bus robber in.
"We could share, you know," he said, stretching toward her with graceful ease.
"I work alone," Miss Incredible said coolly.
"Well," Elastiguy said, looping himself around her in one fluid motion, "I think you need to be more… flexible."
"You doing anything later?" Miss Incredible asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I have a previous engagement," he whispered pointedly as he stretched across the rooftops and disappeared.
Miss Incredible let out a whistle as she saw the handsome Super man leave. Then she turned back to the robber and handcuffed him tightly to a pole.
Suddenly, the splitting sound of a gunshot was heard, and a black helicopter buzzed into view, having been in pursuit by none other than -
"Frozone!" Miss Incredible exclaimed gleefully. She was a fellow Super who could create ice from the moisture in the air and shoot them out of her palms in bolts. She looked down at her friend as she passed overhead.
"Hey!" she called out to Miss Incredible. "Shouldn't you be getting ready?"
"I've still got time!" Miss Incredible yelled back.
A scream from the street below caught Miss Incredible's attention. She scrambled to the edge of the building and saw a crowd forming alongside the road, pointing upward toward the top of another much taller building. There was a woman on the ledge about to jump off! The crowd gasped as she followed through with her intentions, free-falling in the sky.
Without hesitation, Miss Incredible leapt into action, awaiting the woman to reach her level and jumping to catch her in midair. They propelled forward, crashing through the building's glass window and skidding to a rough stop on the floor.
"Nghh…" The jumper moaned, "I think you broke something…"
"Well, with counseling I think you can eventually come to forgive me," Miss Incredible told her. Then her crime sense kicked in. Something on this floor was off. A faint but noticeable ticking noise was coming from the other side of a wall. She carefully crept up to the wall, when suddenly, a loud explosion blew it up! The next thing Miss Incredible registered was a safe door slamming against her, and a slim silhouette casually walking out of the smoke with bags of money.
It was Bombjour, a villainess from France who dressed as a mime. And it seemed she was in the middle of a bank robbery.
Miss Incredible tossed the safe door aside. "Bombjour!" she said, stepping forward to stop the woman.
"Mademoiselle Incroyable!" She answered in an accented voice.
"And Incredigirl!" a third voice joined in.
"Incredigirl?" Bombjour questioned, glancing at someone behind Miss Incredible.
Miss Incredible turned around and rolled her eyes. Becca was back. Flashing her homemade rocket boots, she asked Miss Incredible, "Aren't you curious how I get around so fast?"
"Go home, Becca," Miss Incredible told her.
"This is because I don't have powers, isn't it?" Becca said angrily. "You can be Super without them. I invented these." Becca lifted one of his rocket boots so Miss Incredible could get a better look. "I can fly! Can you fly?"
"Fly home, Becca," Miss Incredible told him. "I work alone."
"I'll show you," Becca insisted. "I'll go get the police!"
But Bombjour wasn't about to let either them ruin her day. As Becca dashed out for the shattered glass window again, Bombjour quietly clipped a little bomb onto Becca's cape. It didn't go unnoticed by Miss Incredible, who raced after her, grabbing onto the cape just as Becca leaped out. "Becca, don't!" she screamed, being lifted up into the air as the boots sparked to life and soared in the sky. Even so, Miss Incredible struggled to grab the bomb.
"Let go!" Becca cried. "You're messing up my flight!"
Finally, Miss Incredible grabbed hold of the bomb and ripped it from Becca's cape. The bomb fell down along with Miss Incredible, both landing atop an elevated set of train tracks. It was here that it exploded, blasting a huge hole through a section of the tracks… right as a train approached at top speed!
Miss Incredible stood, brought her hands up in front of her, and braced herself. It hit her a moment later, the wheels making a loud SCREEEEEECH! as she used every ounce of her Super strength to stop it.
A/N: Frozone's genderswapped Super name stayed the same, though Bomb Voyage's is a play on "Bonjour" :)
