Episode 62

*A short time later...*

"Help! I can't breathe!" Sicily cried in panic as Vert hugged her tightly against her ample bosom.

"Oh, I'm sorry," the CPU sighed as she loosened up slightly. "I just can't help it, you're so adorable~!"

"She says she's the Overlord's sister," Adrian spoke up. "But she looks more like an angel than a demon..."

"That's because I'm half-demon, half-angel!" Sicily exclaimed as she managed to shift her position so that the back of her head was now resting between Vert's D-cups. "See, when Mommy was pregnant with me, she ended up dying, but the Seraph offered her the chance to become an angel instead. But she said no, save me instead! So that's how I became an angel!"

"...I see, " Vert said after a moment. "For your mother to have been offered a chance to ascend like that, she must have been a very kind and virtuous woman..."

"Yeah..." Sicily sighed. "I really wish I could've known her, or Daddy for that matter... Big Brother's the only family I have left."

"But why would you leave him in the first place?" Adrian inquired, sitting with his handgun resting in his lap, just in case.

"Oh, 'cause he and Etna got in a really big argument and Etna ended up quitting as a result," the angel replied. "I was so mad at Big Brother, I put myself in a box and mailed myself to parts unknown. I thought maybe me leaving would get him to see what a jerk he'd been to her... But then I got lost for a really long time. At least I was strong enough to fend for myself, but..." Tears began to form in her eyes... "But I... *sniffle* but I... I JUST WANNA SEE MY BIG BROTHER AGAIN!" she wailed as tears gushed out of her eyes.

"Oh, there there now..." Vert sighed as she turned Sicily around so she could cry on her shoulder. "I don't know how you got here, but there might be a chance we could get you back home..."

"*sniff*... R-really?" the little girl hiccuped. "B-but you said this was 'Game Industry', not the netherworld..."

"*yaaawwn* Hey, what's all that yelling out here?" A slightly disheveled Nicole Sardini walked in, rubbing her eyes, a blanket draped around her shoulders.

"Huh?" Sicily looked up at the new arrival, her eyes suddenly lighting up in recognition! "NISA! Nisa Nisa Nisaaaa!" she yelled as she bounded out of Vert's grip, literally tackling the surprised bluenette to the floor! "Oh, finally, somebody I know! I'm so happy!"

"Wh- Sicily?!" Nisa gasped in disbelief. "W-what are you doing here?!"

"Wrong address, apparently," Adrian deadpanned.

"Oh, you two know each other! How nice!" Vert smiled as she turned to face the duo. "But Sicily, you should know that poor Nisa's been having trouble sleeping lately, so you really shouldn't abuse her like that..."

"I-it's fine, Lady Vert," Nicole grunted as she sat up with Sicily in her arms. "Actually, Sicily was one of the few people in the netherworld I really got along well with..."

"Yeah! The great Hero of Justice, protecting peace in the netherworld!" the little angel exclaimed. "Flonne thought you were pretty cool, too..."

"Who is Flonne?" Vert asked.

"Another fallen angel," Nisa explained. "Unlike a certain someone I won't mention, she's still a great believer in love and justice. The only reason she fell was because she attacked her fellow angels, although I dunno all the details... Actually, if I remember right, she managed to redeem herself and eventually ascend to Archangel rank..."

"She did?!" Sicily gasped with wide eyes. "Oh wow! Go Flonne! That makes me really happy... I just hope she still goes to visit Big Brother sometimes..."

"An angel being friends with demons. Now I've heard everything," Adrian sighed as he rubbed his temples. "Then again, you did say that Overlord Laharl was more of a bratty teenager than truly evil, didn't you, Nicole?"

"Yeah, you might say he's... superficially evil," Nisa mused. "He practices laughing evilly, proclaims how evil and cruel he is, and doesn't wash his hands before or after meals..."

Vert gasped deeply at this, putting a hand to her chest. "What a breach of etiquette! He truly is a demon..."

"I kept telling him to stop his bad habits, but he always tells me to shut up and mind my own business," Sicily pouted. Then something occurred to her... "Wait... Nisa, what are you doing in this 'Game Industry' place anyway?"

"Gamindustri," the bluenette corrected her. "This is my home, Sicily... the world where I was first born and raised. But now, thanks to a local mad scientist making a grave error, Etna is waging war on this place to try and conquer us..."

"She WHAT?!" Sicily jumped a few feet in the air in shock. "That's just wrong! She should be helping Big Brother with ruling the netherworld, not trying to conquer this one! She should know better!"

"Yeah, well, she's already put a few of my old friends in the hospital, though they've mostly recovered now... and then her Cleric Rayna put a hole through Lady Vert's bodyguard, but at least she got well-deserved justice," Nisa explained.

"Rayna? ...oh yeah, I remember her! She fell because she wouldn't stop trying to pick fights with other angels!" Sicily mused. "At least after Etna kicked her butt, she started acting more like a Cleric usually does..."

"...you don't say," Vert said, quietly making a 'zip-lip' gesture to Nicole, who subtly nodded in response. "Well, anyway, it's almost time for dinner, so..."

"Oh! Can I help cook? I'm really good at it, I promise!" Sicily exclaimed.

"Well, that's up to Chika, but I'm sure she wouldn't mind some help," the goddess demurred. "Would you like to join us, Adrian?"

"Thanks, but I had a late lunch," the soldier politely declined as he stood up, holstering his gun. "I'm gonna go back to the hospital and check on Peach, make sure she's not trying to do sit-ups or push-ups in her condition..."

*Speaking of which...*

Peashy sighed with her hands behind her head as she stared at the ceiling, her Lowee-DS sitting off to the side with it's battery completely drained. And of course, there had been nothing interesting on the television, as usual...

"Should've asked Mom to bring the charge cord," the blonde mumbled to herself. "Hell, I'd take reading a book over this... even if it doesn't have pictures..."
