Athanasia looked at her father and tears filled her eyes. She fell to the ground and she was back to normal. Claude ran to his daughter and held her close. Athanasia wept in his chest as he carried her to his room. Claude was worried for his daughter who rarely cried like this. She was so composed that when she broke down like this it worried him. "Athanasia, what's wrong?" Claude asked in a soft voice. Athanasia looked up at her father with watery jeweled eyes. "Promise me that you won't leave me too!" Athanasia demanded as tears fell down her cheeks. "...what do you mean by 'too'?" Claude asked with worry. "They all left me. Mama, Endymion, Venus, Mars, Mercury, and even Jupiter! They all left! Even Papa! Papa was the god Apollo and he even left me all alone!" Athanasia cried as she looked up at Claude with eyes full of pain. Claude had no idea what his daughter was talking about but he held her as she cried for those who had 'left' her.
Claude carried Athanasia back to his room and called Lucas, Felix, and Lily. They were all waiting for Athanasia to speak. When she finally did it was in a broken voice. "There was once a beautiful kingdom ruled by the daughter of Selene the titaness of the moon and Zeus, King of the gods. Her name was Serenity and she had silver hair and dark gray eyes. She ruled the kingdom that Selene had built for her daughter to save her from Queen Hera's wrath. Serenity named the kingdom Silver Millennium and she was crowned queen. A golden crescent moon was then placed upon her forehead to mark how she was. She ruled for years alone until she met the god of the sun, Apollo. The two fell in love but Apollo was to marry another. Apollo soon refused to marry the goddess and angered by doing so. Metalia was the name of the goddess Apollo was to marry and when she heard that Apollo had a child with Queen Serenity she swore to have her revenge against the Moon Queen. The child of Apollo and Queen Serenity was a girl with her father's golden curls and bright blue eyes but had her mother's face and power. They named her Serenity after her mother," Athanasia said as she looked at her lap. "That's the story we read the other day. What's that got to do with whatever we are doing here?" Lucas asked, confused.
"When Serenity was older she fell in love with Earth's prince, Endymion. The two loved each other dearly and were happy together. When Metalia saw how happy Apollo was with his family she threatened war against the gods and their blood. The gods then went into hiding as MEtalia was the daughter of two primordial gods, Achlys and Erebus. She was pure evil and the gods could not beat her because of her parentage. Chaos, the queen of the primordials, gave Queen Serenity something made of pure light and joy, the Legendary Silver Crystal. Only those with Queen Serenity's blood could ever use the crystal and its power. The Silver Crystal was the only thing that could defeat Metalia. When Metalia finally decided to attack she used the evil hearts of the humans to destroy the Moon Kingdom. Princess Serenity was forced to watch as everything she had ever loved was slowly being destroyed all because she was born. Queen Serenity used all of her power to defeat Metalia and so she died but her death was in vain. Metalia cursed the Moon Kingdom and it fell with her. Everyone who was within Silver Millennium died but Princess Serenity's soul was sealed within the Silver Crystal until a time came where she could again be born from a forbidden love," Athanasia with a shaky voice. Everyone looked at her with questioning eyes.
"When Diana, a dancer from Siodonna, caught the attention of the cold hearted Emperor of Obelian, Claude, it was the start of a tragic forbidden love," Athanasia said as she slowly looked up. When she looked up everyone saw someone else sitting before them. They saw a young lady with long golden curls that touched the floor and bright blue eyes that resembled the clear summer sky. Upon her forehead was a golden crescent moon and she wore a white dress with golden swirls on the top. She looked at them with saddened eyes before she vanished in a flash to show Princess Athanasia. "I am the reincarnated Princess Serenity of SIlver Millennium," Athanasia said with the same sad eyes as Serenity. Everyone was stunned into silence. They didn't know what to do with what Athanasia just told them. Finally Lucas rushed to her. "What do you mean by you are the reincarnation of Princess Serenity?" Lucas demanded as he grabbed her arms. Athanasia smiled sadly at the magician and answered, "I once was the Moon Princess Serenity who was the daughter of Moon Queen Serenity and Apollo." "If they were both born from gods wouldn't they too be gods? Why did you and your mother die?" Felix asked. "Not all those born immortal wish to stay that way. Mama and I wish to die one day so we lost our immortality. Instead we would live for thousands of years before we died or we would have to be killed by another immortal being. We did not wish to live until all was at its end," Athanasia answered with a certain fondness in her voice.
"Athanasia, does this mean that Metalia is still out there and if she finds out you have been reborn she will come after you?" Claude asked with worried eyes. Athanasia sighed as she nodded. They all looked worried as they could not fight against an immortal goddess. "None of what was said will leave this room and no one will ever know who you once was, Athanasia, it is for your safety," Claude told everyone with glowing eyes. They all nodded and soon Athanasia was left alone with Claude. "When you were crying early...was it because you remembered your past life?" Claude asked his daughter as he sat next to her. Athanasia nodded her head and continued to stare at her lap. "I see. Do you mind telling me about those in your past life?" Claude asked with a soft look in his eyes. Athanasia smiled and said, "Of course! You see Mama was beautiful and was so elegant! She ruled our kingdom with such ease and our people loved her. Papa could only come every once in a while because of Metalia but he loved me. He would always bring me gifts from Earth. Venus, Mars, Mercury, and Jupiter were all charged to protect me. They also taught me all my lessons and were my dearest friends. I loved them all dearly! Then there was the man I loved, Endymion. I met him when I went to Earth one day after I snuck out of the palace. He helped me when I was lost and we soon fell in love. When Metalia attacked I had just gotten back from visiting him on Earth. I never got to say goodbye to my beloved Endymion and that is something I will always regret."
That night as Athanasia laid in her bed she looked out at the moon. She smiled sadly yet again and closed her eyes. She dreamt of Endymion. He stood and watched as the Moon KIngdom was destroyed. His eyes wide as the moon's surface no longer shined with the light of SIlver Millennium. He heard the shocked yells of his people as he ran back to his palace. He ran into his mother who looked at him with pity in her eyes. "Endymion...Silver Millennium has fallen and with it...its people," the Earth's Queen, Petrina, told her son. Endymion felt tears fall down his cheeks as he ran to the spot where he first met Serenity. He stood there and could almost hear his beloved calling for him. He looked up at the sky and felt such sorrow that he fell to his knees. He wept as he knew he would never again see his beloved Serenity ever again. As he wept rain began to fall but the prince didn't seem to notice. A man with sun kissed skin and golden curls smiled sadly at the young prince before him. "Endymion," the man called out and the prince looked up. Endymion looked into the same blue eyes as his beautiful Serenity. "I know of your pain. My love is no more but my daughter has yet to die. The soul of Princess Serenity has been sealed away. A time will come when my beloved daughter will walk the Earth again but that is not in your lifetime. You must move on so that when she does return she will know you lived well and not in eternal heartache. Build up your kingdom so that she may walk its streets with a proud smile. My daughter is a kind one so she would be hurt to see you in such a state so pick yourself up and live for her," Apollo told Endymion. Endymion smiled softly and stood up tall. He thanked Apollo as the god disappeared in golden light. Endymion became king and built up a great empire. The Terra Empire.
Athanasia woke up and smiled. She got out of her bed and went to her mirror. She froze as she looked at herself. She was taller by at least three inches and her hair had grown four feet overnight. She ran out of her room as fast as she could and went to find Claude. She bursted through his office door and all eyes went to her. Claude and Felix stared at her in shock as she closed the door. "Papa, what's happening?!" Athanasia asked loudly as she rushed to him. The two men continued to stare at her in shock before Claude blinked. "I have no idea….," Claude told his daughter. "Maybe we should call Sir Lucas and ask him," Felix suggested. "YES! He will know what is happening," Athanasia said with wide eyes. Felix left the room and hurried to find Lucas. Claude continued to look at his daughter and then waved his hand. Blue light surrounded her and lifted her off the ground a few inches. She blinked in confusion as the light started to swirl around her. A beautiful silver dress. It was a floor length dress with a round neckline and embroidered stars along with a see through cape in the back. Her hair was perfectly curled and pulled into a woven knot. On her head was a stunning tiara with pearls. When Athanasia landed on the ground again her feet had silver heels on. She looked at her father shocked and the door opened to reveal Lucas and Felix.
Athanasia turned and Lucas stood at the door frozen from shock. Felix walked in with wide eyes as he looked at the young princess. "Princess…?" Lucas asked, stunned. Athanasia nodded her head and said, "Yes! I woke up like this and I freaked out so I came to Daddy but he didn't know anything so we got you." Lucas blinked before he closed his eyes to think. "It could be your body trying to revert itself back to how you originally looked while also trying to stay the same to respect your new life as Princess of Obelian," Lucas said with a shrug. Athanasia nodded and said, "That makes a lot of sense and it is most likely that. I was taller when I was Serenity and my hair was much longer." "How much longer?" Felix asked. "Well, if it was down it dragged on the floor behind me three feet. That is why my hair was up in those twin buns," Athanasia answered. They all looked at her and Claude sighed. "What are we going to do? There is no explanation for how she grew three inches overnight or how her hair grew four feet," Claude said as he looked at his daughter. "Well, we could say that her body has finally fully accepted her mana and it changed her because of how powerful it was," Lucas suggested as he crossed his arms. "That might work...let's go with that and if anyone questions it bring them to me," Claude said with a small glare towards the end.
