Goku paced back and forth in his room a majority of the night. It was a good thing that Angel's didn't need sleep, because he wouldn't have gotten any. The only thing on his mind was the Sixth Universe's God of Destruction.

The next few hours felt like years in Goku's mind. When a knock finally came to his door, he all but ran to it. Instead of being greeted by Whis as he expected, the smaller Angel named Sakis was at his door.

"Good morning Goku! Are you ready to head to Universe 6?"

"Oh, uh yeah. Will the Grand Minister be joining us?" Goku asks curiously.

"He will meet us on your Lord's home planet. I will be escorting you there."

Slightly disappointed by the news, Goku nods before grabbing his staff. He threw the case over his shoulder and walked in the direction of the Angel in front of him. "So, do you know anything about Universe Six' Destroyer? Whis didn't really say much to me." The Saiyan prods, hoping to get some more information.

Sakis averted Goku's gaze as they traveled. "Oh, I don't know much about him unfortunately. I just know that he is very strong. Probably one of the strongest Gods of Destruction there is."

Goku could tell that the Angel was hiding something. "Really? That's all you know? The way that Whis acted, it was like I knew this person."

That thought halted all other functions in Goku's mind, as he slowly connected the dots on his confusing week. The reason Whis had asked him about his birth name, and the way he avoided his questions earlier in his office. The Sixth Universe's Destroyer was none other than Vegeta.

Vegeta's still alive? Was the first and most recurring thought in the Angel's mind. If he's still alive, why haven't I been able to sense him? Why would Whis have me take this assignment? He knows good and well that Vegeta wants nothing to do with me. But he's a God of Destruction now?

Thinking back to that day caused a cold shiver to run down Goku's spine. I knew Vegeta didn't think we were friends, but the way he left that day, it was like he hated his entire existence again.

"Don't get it in your head that we're friends, Kakarot. We were never friends and never will be. Just two warrior beings in a quest to become the strongest. I am tired of playing second fiddle to you and now it's my time to become the strongest in the Cosmos."

The two Saiyans were on Whis and Beerus' planet. Mourning the loss of his wife, Vegeta came to this planet nearly a year ago, doing nothing but training with Lord Beerus. Goku was beginning to get concerned about the Prince. The younger Saiyan noticed that Vegeta spent all of his time training, not even stopping to eat or sleep. Goku was surprised that his body hadn't given up on him.

Bulma's death wasn't easy on anyone, especially Vegeta. It wasn't a surprise to anyone, except Bulla and Trunks, that Vegeta wasn't seen at the funeral. No one saw much of the Prince after his darling Bulma passed on. Goku would visit Capsule Corp. several times a week, checking on his friend. This only annoyed Vegeta even more, to the point that he left Earth without telling the Saiyan.

"Vegeta, all I'm saying is maybe taking on a God of Destruction isn't the best idea. It's not that I don't think you can handle it… I-"

"I'm tired of listening to your nonsense. I've dealt with you for too long."

Goku felt the blood drain from his face. "Deal with me? Vegeta, I thought we had fun training here together. I always thought we would help each other surpass-"

"Fun? You think this has been fun for me, Kakarot?!" Vegeta screamed, his last nerve having snapped.

"I'm tired of helping you break through your ceiling! Leaving me in the dust to drag myself up to your level!" Vegeta couldn't control the words coming from his mouth. All of his frustrations were coming out on the table. "I only put up with you because the woman I loved had been friends with you since she found you in the woods."

Goku stood there, speechless. A lot of the things Vegeta said were out of anger, but that didn't take the sting away. "I guess after all this time, I thought we had become friends too Veg-"

The Prince interrupted him once again. "Oh please! I would never be friends with an idiot."

After hearing these words for the millionth time, Goku had finally had enough. "Fine! Go off and get yourself killed!"

Rolling his eyes, Vegeta walked away from Goku for the last time. He flew off the planet into the distance.

"Goku? Goku!?" Sakis was concerned as he looked back. The angel was afraid he lost his passenger.

"What? Oh, sorry. I zoned out." Goku rubbed the back of his head, clearly embarrassed.

"I said we are approaching Universe Six. We will be there soon."

It had been nearly a million years since the two Saiyans had crossed paths. It seemed fitting that Vegeta would take over the Sixth Universe. This way he could watch over the Universe that had his people inhabiting it, Goku thought.

Does he know I am going to be his Guide Angel? Whis didn't tell me anything about where I was going, did he do the same to Vegeta?

Whis stood outside the large castle that inhabited Lord Vegeta's planet. The place reminded the Grand Minister of the castle from Planet Vegeta, the one that was annihilated so long ago. He pushed open the double doors to see a large opening, revealing the Destroyer at a large table, eating mountains of food.

"Good Morning Vegeta! Long time no see!"

The voice in the dining area startled the Destroyer, causing him to stand from the table. Once he noticed the person interrupting his breakfast was only Whis, he sat back down and continued eating. "It has been a long time, have you finally come to be my Attendant Whis?"

Whis terribly fought a humorless chuckle. "The Grand Minister doesn't have time to watch over the Destroyer's Vegeta. However, I think I have found a suitable replacement." Whis explained with an almost sinister laugh.

A chill ran down Lord Vegeta's spine. Constantly running around a Universe, destroying planets made you forget things on occasion. Vegeta doesn't know how he could forget, it was his fault the previous Grand Minister had lost his position, and his life. Going through so many Attendants will do that.

It had been some time since the Grand Minister had sounded so displeased with him. "Are you trying to get back at me because I've been through some Attendants? Tch. '' Vegeta scoffed as he crossed his arms.

"Several Attendants, Vegeta. More than any Destroyer on record." Whis mentions with a glare. "I had been suspecting you were doing this to get a rise out of everyone at the Palace. But I have decided to give you one last chance, giving you an attendant you won't be able to get rid of. No matter how hard you try."

"Quit speaking in riddles to me Whis. Just tell me what's going on." The Destroyer sat on the edge of his seat, nervous and agitated.

Whis could tell he was getting under the Destroyer's skin, just like he intended. "I have found the perfect Attendant for you Vegeta. He should be arriving at any moment."

"Perfect Attendant you say? Well we'll see about that." The Destroyer comments before returning to his meal.

Quickly appearing from the kitchen, Gria smiles as she welcomes her father inside. "I'm so glad you're here. I've prepared some Earth foods if you would like to eat."

Looking down at the spread of food before him, Whis felt his mouth water as the delicious scents of Earth's food arose to his nostrils. "It has been so long since I've indulged in Earth's fine goodies." Whis stated before he gave into the temptation and sat down across from the Prince.

Gria knew her father loved the foods from Planet Earth. Sakis and Gria got to try the delicacies on numerous occasions. Earth food was some of the tastiest food in the Cosmos. "Should I prepare more food for our guests, Grand Minister?"

"I would wait until Sakis and our Attendant have arrived. We'll need to get some of this food out of the way or there may not be room." The Grand Minister said with a laugh.

That specific phrase piqued Vegeta's interest. He looks up from his meal, seeing how much of it was left. "Awful lot of food here Whis, it's almost like you're expecting another Saiyan to arrive."

Whis felt his face grow cold, not thinking the Destroyer would pick up on his subtle cue. He tried to laugh off his comment while shoving food into his mouth. "I just meant the food should be hot for our new guests. Don't you agree?"

"Hn." The Destroyer chose not to comment.

The three ate in silence for a long while. The only noise in the large dining hall was from the creatures outside. Several animals inhabited the island. Whis thought it was a little surprising they haven't been destroyed.

During the silence, Vegeta couldn't help but think about his new Attendant. With the only clue being that this Angel likes to eat, Vegeta only had a couple of guesses. I know Angels don't need to eat, but can if they choose to. Whis loves Earth food so much, I think it's the only kind he eats. How many others are like him? How many Angels have the appetite of a Saiyan?

What if it's Kakarot?

The thought made Vegeta's blood freeze in his veins. The Destroyer couldn't think of a worse punishment. Kakarot had been on Vegeta's mind several times as of late. No matter how many times he tried to push those thoughts out of his head.

If it is Kakarot, does he still have the power to beat me?

Lord Vegeta's training has come to a standstill as of late. Unfortunately for him, this has caused a particularly sour mood for the Destroyer. Although his Attendants were good with their Ultra Instinct skill, none of them were posing a challenge to the Prince anymore. Even after searching the Sixth Universe, there was not a single strong being that could pose a challenge to Lord Vegeta the Destroyer.

But having Kakarot live with me and train me for the rest of my life? I couldn't think of a worse punishment.

Suddenly, a familiar energy filled the room, catching the Destroyer off guard. It warmed the space around them, nearly making it uncomfortable. Vegeta sat his fork down, pushing away from the table. I should have known. The Angels have decided to punish me by making my worst nightmare come true. Vegeta noticed two energies that arrived on his planet, only adding to his curiosity.

The Grand Minister stood from the table, giving Lord Vegeta a look that glued him to his seat. "Fantastic, they've arrived!"

A knock at the door interrupted Lord Vegeta's thoughts. Looking toward his Attendant, Gria, he motions for her to get it.

After the duo arrived on Lord Vegeta's planet, Goku took a moment to take in the sights around him. If he had to imagine what Planet Vegeta looked like, it would be something like the planet they were on now. Tall magenta trees with bright leaves scattered the landscape. The bluegrass swayed gently in the wind as a few species of wildlife roamed the property.

With as hectic as Vegeta's mortal life sounded under the rule of Frieza, this place seemed unusually calm.

"Are you ready sir Goku?" Sakis looks back at the Angel that joined him. If he didn't know any better, the being seemed nervous. "Is everything okay?"

"Of course, I'm just thinking." Goku states as he continues to look around the property, catching sight of a large creek that flowed behind the house. "I feel the Grand Minister has been keeping something from me."

Sakis nervously stood next to Goku, afraid to say anything that could give away his father's plan. "What do you mean?"

"Whis is very smart. He knows me very well and knows that I love a good challenge." Goku stated as he continued to pace. "The last time I was in contact with Vegeta, it didn't go so well. I'm afraid that he will just push me away like the last time."

Sakis tried his best to keep his composure. This Goku fellow was more observant than the Grand Minister gave him credit for. "I may not know much about this Destroyer, Sir Goku. However, I do know that over the past four Attendants, he has mentioned you specifically. The reason I know this is because he referred to you as Kakarot, your birth name." Sakis smiles, hoping to make the Angel feel more confident.

"I'm not sure what happened a long time ago sir, but I believe Lord Vegeta wants you here more than you realize." Sakis placed his hand on Goku's back, patting it in reassurance. "Come now, the Grand Minister is expecting us."

The entire walk to Vegeta's home, Goku was a nervous wreck. It didn't help that the Saiyan could feel the other's intimidating energy all the way on the outskirts of his property. There was little anyone could do to help him calm down.

It surprised Goku how much Lord Vegeta's aura had changed over the years. It seemed obvious to him now why he was unable to track his energy. While this energy felt more powerful than ever, there was a chaotic nature to it as well. It was as if it would lash out at any moment.

What was he supposed to say to his old battle partner? Hey Vegeta! I know you don't want anything to do with me, but I'm here to train you!... No that sounds stupid. It'd get me punched in the face for sure!

As the two angels reached the door, Sakis was the first to knock. The sound caused all the color to drain from Goku's face. Never before had the Saiyan felt so anxious. It wasn't a feeling that he was used to. Looking down to his hands, he noticed them shaking. Pull yourself together Goku!

An Angel resembling Sakis was on the other side of the door. She had a polite smile across her face, as if she were excited to see them. "Welcome back Sakis! This must be Goku, whom I've heard so much about!" Gria takes a hold of Sakis hand, pulling him in for a hug before doing the same to Goku.

"It's nice to meet you." Goku says politely while looking around the castle that was his new home. It looked elegant, like a person of royalty.

"Come join us. I made Earth delicacies this morning, if you gentlemen are hungry?" Gria motioned for the two angels to follow her into the dining area.

"Earth food? In that case, I'm starving!" Goku excitedly looked at all of the food on the table. As he scanned the table, he noticed Whis on the far right, and on the left was the God of Destruction Vegeta. He wore the golden earring given to him by Lord Beerus, along with the same style of pants he used to wear, the difference being the accents matched the color of his hair. Lord Vegeta's hair was a royal purple color and his eyes had taken on the same hue. His eyebrows had disappeared as a result of this transformation, similar to Goku's Super Saiyan 3 transformation. A golden band was placed around the God of Destruction's neck.

Gria smiled while waving her staff, causing more food to appear in front of the empty chairs. As the food appeared, Gria noticed her father stand from his seat. The tension was palpable in the air, but once the Grand Minister stood, everyone's attention was on him.

"Goku, I see you made it here without any troubles." Whis states with a smile.

"No trouble at all." Goku chuckles nervously, his hand instinctively going to the back of his head. Looking at Vegeta, he tries to gauge his reaction. All he was getting was a blank scowl, reminding him of when they first met. This is going to take some getting used to..

"I know there are no introductions that need to be made here." Whis interrupted Goku's thoughts.

"The two of you clearly know each other. But for the two in the room who aren't as aware, Goku and Vegta knew each other in the mortal realm. Both from the Saiyan Planet Vegeta of Universe Seven. Although their planet was obliterated at a young age, both Saiyans were off-world when the explosion happened. Vegeta during his travels of the galaxy, came to Earth with the intention to conquer it. After being defeated by Goku, Vegeta leaves planet Earth. After some time has passed, the two find each other once again on Planet Namek, fighting Lord Frieza.

"Once a wish was made on the Dragon Balls, Vegeta was teleported back to Earth, where he met his wife, and started a family. Goku eventually made it back to Earth. Their story only begins here. The two Saiyans in front of you have defeated many enemies together. Constantly pushed one another to do their best. Which is why I have come to this decision.

"Vegeta, as of today, Goku will be your Attendant. Given that you have been through several Attendants in the past, this will be your final chance to remain a God of Destruction. There will be no finding a replacement if Goku decides he is unable to be your Attendant."

The Grand Minister's words hung in the air, only adding to the tension the God of Destruction had created. Whis looked at Vegeta sternly. "Do I make myself clear?"

Vegeta gave the Grand Minister a silent nod, knowing that resisting at this point would be pointless.

"Wonderful! Now let's continue our meal!" Whis sits back down, placing a large jelly doughnut into his mouth.
