Finding a seat with an optimal view, the Supreme Kai of the Sixth Universe sat with all of his planets in sight. The last millennium has been a major headache to the Kai's. With all of the Destroying Lord Vegeta does, it was hard for them to keep up. Ever since Vegeta became the God of Destruction, the Kai's of the Sixth Universe have been working around the clock to create a balance in the Universe.

After focusing in, the Supreme Kai was surprised to find there were no new planets or galaxies destroyed. This was the first time in almost a million years there were no traces of Lord Vegeta. Supreme Kai liked to check on the state of his Universe constantly. It seemed only right to do so when you had such an active God of Destruction.

For nearly the last week however, there has been no activity in the Sixth Universe. This made the Supreme Kai wonder if something happened to the Destroyer. It was obvious Lord Vegeta hadn't been killed, but what was causing him to stop destroying?

"Is something the matter sir?"

The Supreme Kai looked to his Assistant. "Take a look, young Kai. The cosmos has been at peace for nearly a week now."

As the young Kai looked up into the expanse of the Universe, he was surprised just as Supreme Kai was. "There has to be an explanation for this. What would make a God of Destruction stop destroying?"

"I heard rumors of the Destroyer getting a new attendant, maybe they're true!" The Supreme Kai excitedly states. "We can finally begin catching up, get the other Kai's on it as fast as possible!"

"Yes sir!" The young Kai ran to the others as quickly as he could, not sure how long the peaceful times would last.

This has to be some crazy nightmare right?

Vegeta sat up in his bed for the millionth time. The Destroyer wished more than anything that he could go back in time, and change whatever he did to deserve this. That man downstairs was a reminder of a life that he had, one that he cherished. Repressed feelings from nearly a million years ago were suddenly bubbling up inside him. Vegeta was sure he couldn't cry anymore, but contrary to belief, they still ran down his face silently.

Now was not the time to be crying over his wife who passed too long ago. Destroyers weren't supposed to get emotional over things from their mortal existence. It was useless in the grand scheme of things, especially if you were powerful enough to live numerous lifetimes. Vegeta didn't think of his belated wife often. However, since Kakarot became his Attendant a week ago, it's been brought up in his mind more than he wants to admit.

Damn that Kakarot…

Aside from reminiscing about Bulma, the other key thing keeping Vegeta in this room was the enormous aura that was downstairs. The Destroyer had no doubts his rival would make it to Other World, it was just a matter of sensing his energy. Not being able to find it for so long made Vegeta doubt whether he actually made it. The Oracle Fish was the only thing that gave Vegeta a little bit of hope that Kakarot was alive.

But why do I want him alive so badly? I hate him!

That was a question even Lord Vegeta couldn't answer. Despite never really liking the idiot, Kakarot always seemed to be around. While the two Saiyans lived on Earth, Kakarot would pop into his house at the most unexpected moments. Vegeta recalled a moment when the younger Saiyan showed up right as Bulma was changing. He never wanted much, just the chance to spar with Vegeta.

Now with the two of them living in the same household, the Destroyer felt suffocated.

Maybe I just need some air, that should do the trick.

Without hesitation, Vegeta placed two fingers to his forehead, teleporting himself out of his house and near a lake on his island. Having teleported to the middle of the lake, Vegeta decided to sit above the water. As he looked below him, the Destroyer could see different species of life that inhabited the water, seemingly to coexist well together.

Is there a way for Kakarot and I to coexist together?

To the side of him, Vegeta could see the Oracle Fish. There weren't many occasions when the two have spoken. It was almost as if the Fish avoided the Destroyer. Vegeta couldn't blame them, now that he thought about it. Their few encounters ended with Vegeta getting furious, resulting in a broken fish bowl. They foretold Kakarot being alive for so long. It made Vegeta curious as to what made the Fish see such a thing.

"You look displeased, my Lord." The Oracle states as he makes his way towards Vegeta. "I would think since your partner has been reunited with you, you would be happier?"

A long sigh escaped the Destroyer's lips. "I wouldn't call him my partner, Oracle. I have a lot of mixed feelings about this whole… situation."

"Why is that?" The Oracle Fish probed.

Realizing he probably wasn't going to get another chance to get this off his chest, Vegeta spoke quickly. "I've despised that Saiyan inside my home for as long as I could remember. Since I've known him, Kakarot had this ability to gauge whether a fighter was strong just by instinct. He would always go after the strongest opponent possible, no matter the consequences. He was reckless in his pursuit of obtaining strength. It's one of the things I hate about him; not because he does it, but because it works." Vegeta rolled his eyes, thinking about the countless villains Kakarot defeated.

"If he didn't defeat his enemies, he would turn them into his friends. That to me was probably the most frustrating part. After Kakarot defeated me the first time, I came to live on Earth permanently after I did some space travel. I had a kid with his life long best friend, and married her. At this point, he is constantly around, asking me to train and barging in on my life." Vegeta paused, feeling embarrassed for how much he spilled to the Oracle. "I guess after all these years, I just expected him to pop up like he always used to. Instead, he's been assigned to me. The Grand Minister is having a laugh in the Palace right now because now we're forced to get along, after a million years of not doing so."

The Oracle Fish listened to his Destroyers predicament. It was not often the fish felt empathy for his Lord. This was a different case however. "I know you feel he was sent here to punish you. However, you fail to realize the opportunity you have here." Seeing he had Vegeta's interest, the fish continued. "The one person who always helped you surpass your limits has finally arrived!"

"Tch." Vegeta scoffed, crossing his arms at the thought. "Oh please! The only thing I do is help that buffoon surpass his own limits. My strength has come from my will, and mine alone!"

The Oracle Fish looked at this Destroyer skeptically. "I can understand why you see it that way, my Lord. But have you considered the fact Kakarot felt the need to get stronger; not to surpass you, but to help you reach new heights as well? Knowing the kind of person you are, I think Goku knew this was the best way to motivate you."

What Vegeta was unaware of, the Oracle Fish had many different visions and premonitions before Goku arrived. Each was centered around the two Saiyans. There were so many different ones, it was hard for the poor little fish to keep them straight. It was causing them to lose sleep. The Oracle believed it was because of his Destroyer's indecision. If he could get him to at least talk to his Attendant, maybe some of the uncertainty would clear up.

Lord Vegeta hated to admit the Oracle could be right. "That doesn't change the fact that his mere existence annoys me on most occasions."

"Could that be because your mind was only seeing his annoying qualities? Sure, if all you're doing is picking out his negative qualities, you're never going to get along." The Oracle stated obviously. "If you challenge yourself to see how this could benefit you, I think you'll find you two will get along more than you realize."

As the Oracle Fish said this, Vegeta's nose perked up to scents his nose had not smelled in a million years. The sweet scents of Earth were coming back to his nostrils. Attendants in the past have tried to replicate Earth's creations, but for some reason they never smelled this decadent. The Destroyer's stomach growled in anticipation.

"Oooh that food smells delicious! That Goku sure knows how to cook!" The Oracle Fish happily began floating away towards the smell.

In the days since Goku's arrival to Lord Vegeta's Planet, the Destroyer had not left his bedroom. Goku was beginning to wonder if he was ever going to come out. The Saiyan knew the two didn't leave on the best of terms, but he didn't think it would be this difficult to get acquainted once again.

Each day, Goku would make his way to Vegeta's room. Each time, gently knocking on the door and offering him a meal. Without fail, the Destroyer would remain silent, keeping his door locked. This frustrated his Attendant greatly, but Goku expected this behavior out of Vegeta. After all these years, not a single thing had changed about the Destroyer.

Goku had always considered the two Saiyans friends, even if Vegeta wouldn't admit it himself. From the time Goku came back to Earth after Planet Yardrat, the younger Saiyan knew that the Prince wasn't as bad as everyone made him out to be. His friends had nothing good to say about Vegeta when he first started living on Earth. None of them trusted Vegeta.

Goku was always different. The younger Saiyan welcomed Vegeta into their group with open arms. Never once saying an ill word about the Destroyer, even after everything the two Saiyans had been through.

As the Attendant stood in the kitchen, he began opening cabinets, trying to get a feel for where everything was. I know what'll make him come out! Vegeta used to love my cooking! He used to tell me it was the one thing I was good at, besides fighting.

To his surprise, every cabinet was empty.

The new Attendant wasn't going to let this little roadblock stop him! Grabbing his staff from his back, Goku closed his eyes for a moment. Ingredients and utensils began materializing in front of him. Smiling at his handiwork, Goku began cooking. The Saiyan hoped this would coax the Destroyer out of his room.

I wonder how much stronger Vegeta has gotten! I can't wait until he comes out of his room so I can spar with him.

Goku could only imagine the kind of power the Destroyer possessed. When the younger Saiyan arrived for the first time, he didn't recognize his old friend's energy. It was like the time he arrived on Beerus' world after finding out Vegeta had already been there training for six months. His energy was almost unrecognizable. In this instance, as Goku noted before, Lord Vegeta's energy seemed chaotic and out of control once again. The Attendant was concerned that the Prince has not been training to properly control his powers.

There is still no doubt in Goku's mind, Lord Vegeta has gotten much stronger. So much in fact, that Goku was a little worried about their first sparring session. Knowing how Vegeta never likes to back down, their first sparring session could take hours, maybe even days. The thought exited the Saiyan more than he liked to admit. Only one person in the Cosmos would be daring enough to take on someone like Goku.

Suddenly, the Destroyer's power moved away from his bedroom, alarming the Attendant. Oh no! I forgot he also knew how to use Instant Transmission. Wait… he just used it to go to the yard?

Goku took a step back from his cooking to open the windows inside the kitchen. This brought in a lot of natural light, making the Attendant smile. Feeling the sun gently warm his face was a nice feeling. Looking around the property, Goku spotted the Destroyer on the lake, speaking to the Oracle Fish.

Maybe if I keep the windows open, he'll smell the food eventually and come inside. I wonder what they're talking about.

With that thought, Goku continued his mission. It was quite a job cooking for two full grown Saiyans. Although Goku was an Angel, he found that he still had kept his love of food from the mortal realm. He didn't need to eat, but doing so brought him a lot of satisfaction. As some food finished, the Attendant would put it on the table; only to turn back around to the stove and start cooking another dish.

When the two Saiyans would train on Lord Beerus' planet, Goku would do a lot of the cooking. Even though Whis did a good job; However, Beerus, Vegeta and Whis himself preferred the younger Saiyan's cooking. It slowly became a separate passion of Goku's, even though it didn't come close to his passion for gaining strength.

The Destroyer's Attendant was in the zone, so much so, he didn't realize Vegeta had returned to the house. During his fifth trip to the kitchen, the younger Saiyan looked up to see the Destroyer in his seat. Goku leaves the room without a word, deciding to save the conversation for after breakfast.

If I start talking now, he'll probably get up and leave. Goku thought worriedly. With as much progress the two already made, he didn't want to take a chance of ruining it.

After thirty more minutes, Goku brings the final pieces of breakfast to the table. Seeing that Vegeta had gone through a healthy portion of the food, the Attendant smiles triumphantly before he digs in.

There was a silence in the air, the only noise to be heard were the tapping of chopsticks and movement of mouths.

Neither Saiyan was sure what to say. As Goku began finishing his meal, he was grasping for something to tell his old friend.

Luckily, Vegeta was the first to speak. "I'll be expecting a good sparring session later Kakarot, you'd better not disappoint me." The Destroyer states before he leaves the dining room, without another word.

Chills began making their way down Goku's spine as the Destroyer spoke. For the first time in thousands of years, the Saiyan felt the anxiousness of a good battle start to rattle his body. Looking down at his hands, he noticed they were trembling slightly.

Clenching his fists together a couple of times, Goku stands from the dining table and pulls out his staff. Within seconds, the disaster of a dining room and kitchen was spotless.

I've gotta go do some training of my own, gotta make sure I'm sharp for this battle.

Goku presses two fingers to his forehead. Within seconds, he was transported across the planet, to a place that looked eerily familiar. As the Saiyan looked across the landscape, he couldn't help but notice it's similarities to Earth. A cratered desert wasteland lay before Goku, reminding him of their favorite battleground.

The Attendant begins to stretch his muscles, making sure to get as loosened up as he could. Goku was aware of how long this fight could last. He was just unsure how the Destroyer was going to go about their first sparring session.

In the past, it always depended on Vegeta's mood. On days where he was not completely pissed off at the world, he would go about the fight as a skilled fighter would. He sized up his opponent's strength before pacing himself, never showing off his secrets too quickly. Other days, when seeing someone happy put the Destroyer in a bad mood, nothing was out of his path of frenzied attacks.

He didn't seem to be in a bad mood. I've gotta do everything in my power to keep it that way, just like with Lord Beerus.

Suddenly, Vegeta's energy filled the space around Goku, startling the younger Saiyan. It had been a moment since someone had been able to sneak up on him like that. But not many beings knew Instant Transmission like the two of them. This only added to the knots twisting in Goku's intestines.

"Fitting that our first spar in so long is in this desert." Vegeta stated flatly as he looked around the desolate landscape. "Just like our first bout so long ago." The Destroyer had a small smile across his face, surprising his Attendant.

"Yeah, I thought the same thing when I landed here." Goku looked at his old battle partner, noticing he was in a calm stance. This was very different than the first day that he saw him. His aura felt undisturbed, unlike this morning before breakfast. "It's been so long since we've spared together. I can tell you have gotten much stronger since.." Goku trailed off, not wanting to speak of the last time they saw each other.

A small awkward silence hung in the air, but Vegeta slashed it quickly. "Should we get started then? I've been wondering how strong you've become as well, Kakarot." Vegeta spoke as he took his classic fighting stance, itching to test his new Attendant's abilities.

Before Goku could react, the Destroyer lunged at him, nearly grazing his Attendant's face with his fist.

Looks like I'd better keep my guard up. This is going to be harder than I thought. Goku thought worriedly.
