Chapter 33 The Honeymoon Part 7
As the first rays of light began to rise over the horizon, Lucas opened his eyes to see the most beautiful creature lying next to him. "Elizabeth, we need to get up. I would prefer people did not find us here and in this compromised state of dress." He laughed while nuzzling her neck to wake her.
"That was the most amazing night of my life." She responded with a kiss.
'Love we are only just beginning. We have our whole lives ahead of us." He told her while handing her clothes.
Elizabeth couldn't imagine anything greater than what they had just shared. Just when she thought her husband couldn't be anymore romantic he found a way to surprise her. He helped her out of the hammock and untied it from the trees and rolled it up tucking the champagne bottle inside. Then he took her arm as they walked back to the bungalow. They decided to go back to bed for an hour or so since neither had gotten much sleep. The evening under the stars was so magical. They crawled in the bed and he draped his arm over her pulling her close and they both fell asleep instantly.
Lucas woke up first to the knock on the bungalow door. Jack was excited about his day wanting to know what Lucas had planned for them. Lucas opened the door and he ran and jumped on Elizabeth's stomach. "Momma get up. I ready for the day."
"Okay Jack. I'm up."
Lucas was already getting cleaned up for the day. He was in the bathroom when Julie knocked on the door. Elizabeth opened it.
"Well Beth, Are you going to tell me about your night out?" Julie asked quietly and with a mischievous grin.
"Julie, there are no words to describe it. It was the most amazing night of my life. We slept under the stars, but didn't do much sleeping." She chuckled quietly so Jack or Lucas couldn't hear their conversation.
Julie just smiled as Lucas came out of the bathroom, gave his wife a sweet kiss on the cheek, "you can have the bathroom now."
Elizabeth went to clean up and get ready for the day out.
"Julie, thank you for keeping Jack last night. He can stay with us tonight so you can have a night out if you like."
"That is very thoughtful Lucas. Thank you!" Julie responded while thinking about how lucky her sister was to have found such a wonderful man.
Elizabeth came out of the bathroom and the four of them headed to the midway to get breakfast while enjoying the beautiful sunrise almost as much as the sunset from the balcony of the bungalow. As they came to the restaurants Lucas helped Elizabeth, Jack, and Julie into their seats and went to order. The main breakfast food on this day was banana crepes. Lucas placed the order and then noticed the security guard he had paid sitting at a table. He made his way to him.
"I want to thank you for last night." He said appreciatively as he shook his hand.
"It was my pleasure, and thank you for the more than generous bonus." He said politely in return.
The conversation had not gone unnoticed by Elizabeth or Julie.
"What was that about?" Julie asked.
"I'm not sure." Elizabeth responded curiously.
Lucas picked up their food and brought it back to the table, and then he took his own seat.
"Lucas, who was that? Elizabeth asked.
"Just a friend." He answered.
"You have friends in Bora, Bora? How many times have you been here?"
"This is my second time. No, I just met him last night. He is a very nice man."
"When was the last time you were here?" She asked her curious mind now on the interrogation track.
"It has been about ten years ago and I came alone Elizabeth." He added that for her reassurance. "This is my first time getting to share this place with some very special people in my life. I can't think of anywhere else I would rather be in this moment, than here with the three of you."
They finished their breakfast and headed on over to the bay where they were going to take the time to help Jack feed sharks and stingrays. There was a shallow pool of water where small sharks could swim in and out. The attendant would give them little cups of food and Lucas would help Jack while Elizabeth and Julie would feed their own sharks.
"Daddy look sharks!" He said jumping up and down.
"Jack calm down you still have three days before the sutures come out." Lucas reminded him. "Make sure you don't put your hand in the water Jack. The sharks could bite you."
They spent several hours there and then went back to the bungalow to get changed and go to the beach. Lucas and Jack were going to play in the sand while Elizabeth and Julie both laid out some towels and were going to swim. Lucas covered him up with the sand all except his head.
"Oh no, Where's Jack? He pretended not to see him.
"Daddy, I'm right here."
"Jack, Jack where are you? He said again.
This time Jack said it louder. "I'm right here daddy!"
"Oh there you are." He began tickling Jack with his beard. Jack started laughing hysterically.
Lucas and Jack built a sand castle and then they lay down on a towel. Jack lay on Lucas stomach after Lucas rubbed him down with coconut oil to keep him from burning. They both fell asleep. Elizabeth and Julie watched the pair in adoration lying there on the beach asleep. Jack was drooling on Lucas's chest.
Elizabeth and Julie were enjoying the water. The temperature was in the high 80's and the water felt so good. When Lucas awoke he gently placed sleeping Jack on the towel and Julie came to sit with him so Lucas could swim with his wife. Shortly after Jack woke up, he and Julie waded in the water. Lucas and Elizabeth played around in the water until sunset. Then they went back to the bungalow to change, eat, and enjoy relaxing as a family. Julie was going to the midway to watch the entertainment.
Lucas and Elizabeth sat on the balcony reading to Jack and enjoying the relaxing sound of the water until he fell asleep. Then they took him in and laid him down in the center of the bed. They returned to the balcony where they held each other and enjoyed the comfort of being in each other's arms.
"I can't imagine a more fulfilling life." Lucas told her while placing a kiss on the top of her head.
"Me either." She responded.
"I love you Elizabeth!" He said sweetly.
"I love you too, Lucas!"
"Let's go to bed, I am exhausted. The water relaxes me and makes me sleepy." He told her as they stood up to head to their bed.
"I learn something new about you every day Mr. Bouchard." She teased him.
They both changed for bed and crawled up beside sleeping Jack. Both of them placed a kiss on his forehead and rolled over and went to sleep dreaming about the paradise they were in.
