Several hours have passed, and each second became more exciting to the Omni Kings. Both of them were enamored by the fight between Vegeta and Goku.
Zeni knew Goku was different from the moment that he met him. Never paying his respects like the normal deity, the Saiyan treated him as he would anyone else. From the moment Zeni took hold of Goku's hand for their first handshake, the Omni King noticed the purity of the younger Saiyan's soul. It was in that initial touch, Zeni saw into Goku's soul.
In front of the Omni King was an endless pool of water. The large expanse reminded Zeni of an ocean. The sky was a bright blue above him with a small sprinkling of clouds. The water below Zeni's feet was completely calm. As Zeni took a few steps, he noticed the water would ripple slightly, but stayed completely calm underneath the surface. Looking down into the water, Zeni could see several different types of life coexisting there.
"Strange." Zeni observed. "I've never observed a soul that's so tranquil."
The space felt warm, inviting, and wholesome. In that moment the Omni King felt the warmth and kindness inside the gentle Saiyan's soul. Never before had Zeni felt so at peace inside someone's soul. There haven't been many occasions that Zeni was able to use his power. The guards never let someone get near him long enough. But when the time did come, most mortal souls were the same. Each a mix of emotions driven by uncertainty.
As the great Being looked into the warm sky, he saw the great expanse of the powers hidden inside Goku. This simple being had Universes worth of power stored. As Zeni rose, he reached a glass ceiling, unable to reach the beautiful portion of Goku's soul he so wished to get to.
"Wow! What beautiful energy!" Zeni said excitedly. As he continued to look, the sky above him seemed to stretch on forever. The glowing colors of blue and white were mesmerizing to the Omni King. Never before had he witnessed such great hidden potential.
After returning to the water, The Omni King noticed a figure in the distance. Walking toward them, Zeni didn't immediately recognize him. Surprised it wasn't Goku, he quickly approached the person sitting on the lake. The man was holding a bright orb in his hands, the essence of the younger Saiyan's being was held there.
The Omni King eventually recognized the face as someone else he saw at the Tournament. His widow's peak and strikingly dark hair were surprising. The man had a tail, telling Zeni he was a Saiyan like Goku. "What is your name? Why are you here?"
The Saiyan had a protective aura, never once smiling at Zeni. "Vegeta belongs with Kakarot." he stated simply, holding the orb gently in his hands.
A smile crossed Zeni's face before nodding. "I see."
It was from that day on, The Omni King held a soft spot for Goku inside his heart. After seeing countless souls, he was the most pure, reminding Zeni of himself. From that moment on, Zeni always had Goku on his mind. Even when he would play games with his guards, every other game seemed boring compared to the fight The Omni King witnessed. When Goku mentioned a tournament, Zeni was more than excited to conjure his dreams into reality.
When Goku brought Zeno into his life, The Omni King was a little taken aback at first. To him, it would've been impossible for the Saiyan to live up to his bargain. When Goku mentioned finding him a friend to play with all the time, Zeni thought Goku meant himself. What he got was far better than he could've imagined. Zeno was the perfect companion.
"This fight is amazing! Vegeta just keeps getting stronger! Goku is starting to struggle." Zeno shouted excitedly, pulling Zeni out of his daydreaming. As he looked across the battlefield, he noted that Vegeta did have the advantage in this moment. The Destroyer had Goku pinned.
"You can do it Goku!" Zeni shouted as he pumped his fist in the air.
"Come on Vegeta!" Zeno yells as he pumps the opposite fist.
The two Omni Kings looked at each other, Zeni a little shocked. "We always cheer for Goku."
Zeno smiled "Goku is very amazing! But Vegeta is super amazing!"
It was one of the first times the two Omni Kings had differing opinions. Both times were about Goku and Vegeta. Zeni looked between the battlefield and his partner before speaking. "I think Goku is still going to win." Zeni stated simply before cheering with even more passion than before. "You got this Goku!"
As the two Omni Kings cheer the Saiyan's on, Zeni and Zeno watch as Goku and Vegeta power up. The amount of energy the duo used was causing wind currents so strong, the Omni Kings could barely move in their seats. "Looks like they've still got some more juice left!" Zeni said excitedly.
"Yes! This is the most amazing fight ever!" Zeno happily looks at his partner.
"I agree!" Zeni smiles. "I wish we could watch them fight all the time!"
Zeni and Zeno nodded in agreement before they continued to watch the battle. Out of all the games the Omni Kings played together, this was by far their favorite. Several centuries have passed since the first Tournament of Power. There have been a few occasions the Omni Kings thought to bring it back. But after watching the two in front of them, and how skilled the two fighters were, Zeno had a different idea.
"Zeni, what if we had another Tournament of Power?" Zeno begins.
"Another? Do you think we should put all Universes in this time?" Zeni says excitedly, the thought of another tournament made him giddy.
"Well, since we love watching Goku and Vegeta fight, I was thinking we have a Tournament of Destroyer's. We can see which being is the strongest!"
Zeni gasped. Never had this Universe's Omni King thought of such an idea. The amount of skill that Destroyer's could bring to the table was limitless. "I love the idea! Just think of how skilled the fighters would be!"
"I know! The thought of another tournament just got me so excited!" Zeno clapped and smiled, very pleased that his partner liked his idea. "We will have to figure out details after this. I can't wait to see which fighter wins!"
The fight continued until the two Saiyans both lay on opposite ends of the battlefield, too exhausted to stand. In their final move, Goku and Vegeta collided in a fabulous burst of light. The two deities were then sent flying across the battlefield.
"Is it finally over?" Zeni and Zeno questioned. They weren't sure how long they actually watched the two of them play. As the Omni Kings looked back at their planet tables, they noticed a considerable amount of time had passed.
"Nearly six rotations of the tables happened during the fight." Zeno said as he looked back.
"That's the longest battle I've ever witnessed! It was absolutely amazing!" Zeni smiled as he looked at his partner.
"You're right! It was amazing." Zeno said excitedly before continuing. "Who do you think won?"
Both Omni Kings examined the battlefield carefully, taking in how demolished the poor ring was. A new one was definitely going to be made after this.
"It's hard to say. The fight lasted so long." Zeni stated. "Vegeta had the advantage many times, but Goku's attacks were more powerful than Vegeta's on several occasions."
"Hmmmmm." The two thought for a long moment before they got out of their chairs. Zeni and Zeno walk to the entrance of the ring. They lift their hands and close their eyes, repairing the ring and the fighters at the same time.
Goku's eyes opened to a teal light enveloping him. He could feel his wounds being healed, but was unaware of how exactly he got there. The last thing he remembered was powering up his Kamehameha and throwing it at Vegeta with all the power he could muster.
The Attendant couldn't remember the last time he felt this drained. It felt as if every ounce of his energy was used during that fight. He wanted to make sure there was no contest as to who won. Unfortunately, instead of standing after his huge blast like planned, his body decided to give out on him.
"Absolutely amazing!" Zeni exclaimed as they walked onto the ring. "The fight is now over! Both of you did wonderful!"
"Yes! The fight was fantastic!" Zeno shouted while he punched his fists in the air to show his excitement.
As Goku slowly came to his senses, he noticed his energy was quickly returning to him. Looking at the Omni Kings, he observed as they finished repairing the ring. The same warmth he felt after the fights was helping to restore his energy. He knew it was coming from Zeni and Zeno, and he appreciated it.
"Great Omni Kings, will you reveal the results of the fight?" Vegeta asked curiously from across the battlefield.
Goku felt the blood leave his face. He nearly forgot the Omni Kings were supposed to choose a victor. Normally, the Attendant wouldn't be worried. Zeni and Zeno always cheered for him. Today however, Goku noticed Zeno began cheering for Vegeta during the fight. This caused him to feel a little nervous. They wouldn't pick Vegeta, would they? Zeni and Zeno are my little buddies!
Zeno turned to Vegeta, who finally joined the other three. "You can call me Zeno, Destroyer, Vegeta."
"You may call me Zeni!" Shouting excitedly, Zeni joined Zeno as they both reached out a hand to the Destroyer.
Crap, crap, crap! Goku thought to himself. They're warming up to Vegeta too! This is bad!
The Destroyer watched the Omni Kings raise their hand to him. It was something he witnessed Kakarot do the first time he met Zeni and Zeno. Now they were treating the Destroyer with the same kindness they were giving their favorite Saiyan?
Vegeta smiled happily as he extended his hand to the Omni Kings. "Zeni and Zeno, I greatly appreciate this honor you've bestowed upon me."
Zeni and Zeno took a hold of Vegeta's hand, and were immediately transported. A look of shock crossed Zeni's face, while Zeno continued to smile and laugh.
Once the Omni Kings were back on the ground, Vegeta lowered himself to his knees. "I hope our fight entertained you sires." The Destroyer says with a smile.
"It was amazing!" The Omni Kings say in unison. "We want you guys to come back soon!"
Vegeta looks up at his Attendant. "I think we can come back soon, don't you Kakarot?"
"Of course we can!" Goku said quickly. "Just buzz us whenever you'd like us to come back Zeni and Zeno."
"See? I'll keep my schedule open." Vegeta states with a smile.
"Hooray!" The Omni Kings yell excitedly. "We know the winner also!"
"Who is it, Zeni and Zeno?" Goku asked nervously.
The Omni Kings were silent for a few moments, before finally shouting the victor's name. "Vegeta!"
"WHAT?!" Goku and Vegeta said in unison.
Vegeta couldn't believe it. He managed to win the favor of the Omni Kings, even if it was for a short moment. His heart was beating out of his chest. A permanent smile was on the Destroyer's face as he looked towards his Attendant. "Look at that." He states simply.
"Yeah." Goku says defeatedly. "Should we head back to Universe Six, Vegeta?"
"I think we should, Kakarot. We've had a long battle and I am ready for a much deserved meal and nap." Vegeta states, unable to contain his happiness, he almost felt like crying.
The Omni Kings smiled before they waved towards the two Saiyans. "See you soon!" Zeni and Zeno smiled before they hurried to Goku, grasping onto his hand.
Goku chuckled as he held onto the Omni Kings. "We will be back soon, Zeni and Zeno." The Attendant said as he set them back down gently. Goku put two of his fingers to his forehead as he reached for Vegeta with his other hand. "Alright! Let's go, Vegeta."
"Actually Kakarot, I was hoping we could take the long way." Vegeta states, a small glint of mischief in his eye.
"Really? Okay if that's what you wish." Goku says, a little confused as to why Vegeta wanted to take the long way. It was so much easier for him to use his Instant Transmission. Goku grabs his staff from his back and taps it on the ground twice. This caused a pillar of colored light to descend upon the two Saiyans.
Taking the long way took nearly three hours for the two Saiyans to reach the edge of Universe Six. As Vegeta noticed they were close to reaching their home, the Destroyer spoke quickly. "Stop here."
Quickly stopping in the middle of Universe Six, Goku looked back at Vegeta. "Why in the world did you want me to stop all the way out here."
"Because." Vegeta moved out from behind his Attendant. Orbs of energy began to materialize from his hands. "Looking around at this big 'ol universe made me realize my role here. And in celebration of my victory, not only do I get you to cough up what was making you so nervous earlier. I also am going to do what I love most."
A smirk crossed Vegeta's face before looking back at his Attendant. "I'm feeling a little destructive, Kakarot." He states before several blasts leave his hands, hitting several planets and destroying them. Vegeta left nothing but space dust where those planets used to be.
Taking a deep breath, Vegeta revelled in the destruction that he was creating. Normally, he would visit the planets to find their strongest opponent. But with Kakarot as his Attendant, he didn't feel the need to seek out strong opponents.
All Vegeta wanted to do was destroy.
Watching several planets get destroyed, feeling all of the life dissipate from those worlds, made Goku feel drained. Although he didn't like this part of his job. He knew that it was going to be a part of it. Watching the look on his Destroyer's face however, Goku noticed Vegeta was being very precise in the planets he was hitting.
As Goku looked into his staff, he noted the planets Vegeta was obliterating were already on the brink of extinction in the first place. Several of them were beginning to go to world wars. Taking a deep breath, the Attendant closed his eyes and began to think. There is a natural balance in life. I am here to keep the balance in the Universe. No matter the cost.
Opening his eyes once again, Goku took a look at the planets that were missing. Looking at his Destroyer however, the Attendant could tell Vegeta was already fatigued from their previous match. Goku wasn't sure how much energy the Destroyer had left.
After a matter of moments, all the dust settled. Vegeta looks across the expanse at his handiwork. "Alright Kakarot, time to get home. We need to have a little chat."
