After six hours of training in his Attendant's dimension, Lord Vegeta felt as though his body was going to collapse. The Destroyer trained here for what felt like an eternity alone. Although, he was able to clear his thoughts. The moment Goku was brought into the mix, the storms would rage once again.
Vegeta wasn't sure what to make of it.
Walking out of the shower and into their bedroom, Vegeta quickly got dressed. The fatigue was really beginning to weigh on him. The Destroyer laid down on the mattress, allowing his muscles to relax for the first time in weeks.
Even though his body was getting a much needed rest, Lord Vegeta's mind was pondering his Attendant's words
If what Kakarot said was true, is this training space our sanctuary from the outside world? The Destroyer began to think. If we could keep our actions contained to this dimension, would there be any harm done?
Vegeta's eyes began to close as his thoughts slowed. As soon as his eyelids touched, the Destroyer passed out from exhaustion.
"Hey, I just whipped up some food. Are you hungry?" Goku's voice came from the other room, but the Destroyer was already asleep.
Vegeta's Attendant had just finished cooking a snack. The two of them trained hard over the last few hours, but it still seems like the Destroyer can't clear his mind. Although there has been a tremendous improvement, the storms will still rage on occasion. Goku was starving after their training, causing him to cook before cleaning himself up.
"Vegeta? Are you hungry?" Goku asked louder between his bites of food. After the younger Saiyan ate nearly half of the food, he began to wonder if Vegeta was alright. Goku stood from his seat, heading into their bedroom.
Before Goku could reach for the door handle, he felt himself being lifted into the air once again. His heart began to race. What in the world? Zeni and Zeno are summoning me again already?
The Grand Minister stood between Zeni and Zeno. The trio was waiting for all of the Attendants to arrive. The Omni Kings had decided on the date of their Tournament. Whis had sent a message to everyone, including Universe Six's Attendant. But just as Whis presumed it would happen, Goku's staff was unreachable once again.
A couple of Universes were still on their way. It was still extremely important for him to be here. The Palace was not supposed to show favoritism to any Attendant. Since this particular Attendant has been working closely with the Omni Kings for so many centuries, it made the task more difficult.
After several minutes of waiting, the Attendants in the room began to get antsy.
"Why have we been summoned here, Grand Minister?" Jin, the Attendant of the Eighth Universe, questioned.
Whis smiled towards Universe Eight's Attendant. "I don't want to answer any questions until everyone is present. We are still waiting on one or two more Universes to arrive."
"This isn't our normal meeting day." Tequi from the Seventh Universe piped in.
"Tequi is right, something must be going on." Sin from the Fifth Universe looked around, seeing they were only missing one Attendant. "Where is the Attendant for the Sixth Universe?"
"Probably got eaten by his Destroyer." Bourba from Universe One mentioned with a dark chuckle.
"Everyone quiet down." The Grand Minister sighed in frustration. If the only person they were waiting on was Goku, Whis had no choice but to resort to plan B.
"My wonderful Omni Kings." Whis looked towards the two Deities, getting irritated with all the chatter. "It seems that I can't reach Goku with my staff. Could you call him here at once, peas and carrots?"
"Of course!" The Omni Kings say in unison.
Every Angel in the room silenced as they heard Zeni and Zeno speak. They watched curiously as the Omni King on the left pressed a button on the chair they sat in.
Suddenly, a disheveled Goku appeared in the middle of the room. His clothes were ripped and filthy. Whis raised an eyebrow at the Saiyan. "Goku, it's so good of you to finally join us."
"GOKU!" The Omni Kings yell excitedly in unison. Zeni and Zeno quickly leave their chairs, heading in the Saiyan's direction. As soon as they reached him, The Omni Kings grabbed each of Goku's hands, shaking them playfully.
Everyone in the room, except the Grand Minister and Goku, was awed into complete silence. Never before had any Angel seen the Deities take such favor to one person.
"Hey Zeni, Zeno." Goku said with a smile as he began playing their favorite game of handshake. It took a moment for the Saiyan to notice everyone's eyes were on him. Once he sets the Omni Kings down, Goku rubs the back of his head embarrassingly.
"Apologies, Grand Minister." Goku says as he looks around the room, noticing eleven other Angels in the room. "What is this about?"
Several whispers could be heard around the room.
"Did he just call one of them Zeni?"
"Who is this man?"
"Looks like the Destroyer was about to take a bite out of him after all."
"Grand Minister." Whiskay from Universe Twelve spoke loudly enough to catch everyone's attention.
"Who is this man? What happened to Gria?" Whiskay looked towards Goku, unimpressed by his lax demeanor. What possessed him to even show up like this? It's very unbefitting of an Attendant to be so… filthy. she thought to herself. And the Omni Kings, they are wrapped around this simpleton's finger. What the hell is going on here?
A pillar of light suddenly appeared, signaling the arrival of the Fourth Universe's Angel, Gria. A bright smile lit up the Attendant's face as she waved towards the other Angel's. "Sorry, I'm late guys!"
"It's quite alright." Whis smiled toward his daughter. The meeting could finally begin, now that everyone was here.
"Gria was reassigned to Universe Four after a replacement for Universe Six's Attendant became available." The Grand Minister began. "Goku, the Guide of Universe Six, was a guard for the Omni Kings for many centuries. Although I was going to introduce everyone at our quarterly meeting, now was as good of a time as any." Whis looked around the room, a smile on his features.
Most of the murmurs had stopped, nearly all eyes were on Goku. The Saiyan rubbed the back of his head, using his other hand to wave at everyone. "It's wonderful to meet all of you!"
"Goku." Zeno tugged on the Angel's orange gi.
"Come stand with us." Zeni excitedly pulled on Goku's hand.
"I think I should stay with the Other Angels, Zeni and Zeno. You should be the center of attention here." The Attendant said with a nervous smile. While he hated to say no to the Omni Kings, Goku felt out of place taking his spot at their side once again.
"The Omni Kings asked you to join them, it'd be best not to displease them, Goku." The Grand Minister stated.
The two Omni Kings led Universe Six's Attendant front and center, just as they were. Goku stood behind Zeni and Zeno's chair, unsure of where to exactly stand. This caused the entire room to go silent. All eyes continued to be on Goku and the Omni Kings.
"Now that everyone is here," The Grand Minister continued "We can get to the task at hand. The reason I have summoned everyone is because the Omni Kings have decided they would like to play a game with all of the Universes."
A low murmur scattered around the room once again. Goku watched as everyone's faces turned from confused to concerned.
"Will the Universes be at stake once again?" Rai, representing Universe Two, asked. The young Angel's heart raced, nervous about the possible fate of her Universe.
"No." Whis answered simply. "The losers will have a small obstacle, but it's nothing they can't handle." The Grand Minister chuckled at the thought of what the Omni Kings wanted them to do.
"Each Universe will be competing in what the Omni King's have deemed, The First Universal Tournament. The tournament will consist of two on two matches, each winner will move on, and the losers will be forced to watch and cheer on every Universe.
"This Tournament is meant to build a more team-like relationship between Attendant and Destroyer. Along with that, it also will give everyone a chance to improve upon their fighting skills. My hope is that engaging in this kind of combat, the Destroyers will find their urge to train with their Attendants once again.
The Grand Minister glanced around the room until the murmurs stopped. "This Tournament will be held in seven days. The Omni Kings believed this was a sufficient amount of time to get prepared. We will be meeting once again in the Null Realm, seven days from today."
"Any questions?" The Grand Minister looked around the room, seeing many of the Angels had .
"Are there any rules to this tournament?" Whiskay asked.
"Yes, I'm glad you asked." The Grand Minister smiled. "To win your match, you must either knock your opponents out of the ring, cause them to forfeit, or knock them unconscious. Killing your opponents is forbidden. The use of weapons is also prohibited, along with the use of your energy to fly. No shots to the eyes or groin.
"If all opponents have been expelled from the ring, the Omni Kings will decide the winner." The Grand Minister looked around the room. "Does everyone understand the rules?"
Many of the Attendant's nodded. However, Bourba raised her hand. "What if your energy can produce a weapon?"
Goku observed the other Attendants, feeling his blood run cold at the silence in the room. Many of them were giving curious looks, some looked downright lost. There had only been one being he fought that could manifest his energy into a weapon.
"Ooooh." Zeni piped up, intrigued. "So the weapon is a part of their body?"
"In a way yes." Bourba mentioned. "The energy is created from their body, and it can manifest itself into a weapon. There are several different weapons my Lord has created."
"Like what?" Zeno inquired.
"Mainly swords and things of the sort." Bourba says with a smile. The Attendant from the First Universe projected an image for everyone in the room to see.
The sight of the Destroyer caused all the blood to drain from Goku's face.
While the Saiyan had never actually met the First Universe's Destroyer, the being in front of them looked like he came straight out of Goku's nightmares. The purple bladed katana between the man's fingertips caused the Attendant next to the Omni Kings to shiver. Whatever feelings of excitement Goku had about the Tournament, they were long gone. "Uh… Zeni." Goku said quietly.
"Cool!" Zeni looked at his companion, ignoring Goku above him. "I think it should be allowed!"
"Me too!"
"There you have it." The Grand Minister stated flatly." If there are no further questions, this Meeting is adjourned." Whis smiled and waved at everyone. "It was wonderful to see all of you again. I look forward to seeing everyone soon!"
